Alright, for you PC users, Planet Elderscrolls has released the system requirements for Oblivion. Note that these are subject to change.

Recommended:
3 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor
1 GB System RAM
ATI X800 series, Nvidia GeForce 6800 series, or higher video card

Minimum System Requirements:
Windows XP
512MB System RAM
2 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor
128MB Direct3D compatible video card
and DirectX 9.0 compatible driver;
8x DVD-ROM drive
4.6 GB free hard disk space
DirectX 9.0c (included)
DirectX 8.1 compatible sound card
Keyboard, Mouse

Supported Video Cards:
ATI X1900 series
ATI X1800 series
ATI X1600 series
ATI X1300 series
ATI X850 series
ATI X800 series
ATI X700 series
ATI X600 series
ATI Radeon 9800 series
ATI Radeon 9700 series
ATI Radeon 9600 series
ATI Radeon 9500 series
ATI Radeon 9000 series
NVIDIA GeForce 7800 series
NVIDIA GeForce 6800 series
NVIDIA GeForce 6600 series
NVIDIA GeForce 6200 series
NVIDIA GeForce FX series

I suggest you start saving for any parts you need. Also note, it needs a DVD drive, NOT a CD drive. The game will not be released in CD format (it would take 7-8 of them to install, and that is rediculous).

How do you go about figuring out which video card you have?

You could right-click on the desktop, properties, settings, and it'll be under display.

I'm pretty sure we hae a GeForce 6600, but it might be better, I'll have to ask my dad
1 GB of Ram
2 GHz
AMD Athlon 64 3200+
111 GB HD (And more of it is wasted everyday by my worthless sister's games.)

I was going to get Oblivion for computer but I realized that fixing my computer up to play Oblivion was going to be more expensive then just buying an Xbox 360. But this information can be useful.

Yeah, I'm so freaking happy that he got it too.

@ Igloo14
Yeah, the cost can really get quite high when you have to buy all the new stuff just to be able to play the game.

But a computer can be used for more then just games. Plus PC users get mods which is pretty sweet.

I hope not, I like lording over my 360 friends, with my better graphics, more versatile system, and mod capabilities.

Yeah, I'm a jerk, so what.

I've gone mad with the power that I have thanks to computers being better than consoles, MAD I SAY!
