Akito sighed in relief as he left the lands of Kousetsu. He like the tribe...a lot more than he expected he would, actually. But he wasn't much of a people person and he had grown restless. Even being on the tribe lands had been a bit too stiffling for him and he needed a break. That and being warm for a short while was nice.
The black male stretched and padded though the trees, thoughts of his family intruding on his peace. He wondered how his mother was doing, and his sister had had a family he'd heard. And then there were his own kits. Akito winced at the thought, knowing that he hadn't been the best father ever. And now he was feeling alone. great. Shaking his head he loosed the thoughts floating around in there and looked around.
He was in a small clearing and he padded over to the edge, plopping under a tree to rest.

Edward was fairly used to Lorelz sticking close to his side for the past year. The two had bonded, and now, Lorelz hardly left his side. Yes, she was a flirt, and he was often known for avoiding those characters, but Lorelz was nice enough when she wasn't trying to steal someone's mate or boyfriend. She wasn't a bad person, merely she liked attention, having never had enough as a kit. Now, here she was, trailing behind him like a lost dog, whimpering about her aching belly.
Edward was non-confrontational so instead of telling her to stop whining he merely turned around and smiled at her. "Lorry, we can get you dinner in a second. A storm will be passing through tonight, I want us to be prepared." He smiled when she nodded, glad she understood, and continued on their journey. Lorelz wanted to whine more, but not because of food. She was bored. Bored of walking to nowhere, bored of traveling through forest and forest, sometimes they were unlucky and traveled through the desert. Sometimes, she would spot a tribe and try to convince Edward to join, but he always shook his head and said the same excuse: 'I want to join the tribe my mate will be in, if I ever find a mate.'
He wouldn't. He was so sweet, he'd let any rival take a person he liked just because he wanted both to be happy. He was nice, she liked his personality, and he always was there for her when she was dumped by some guy. Speaking of guys...
"You think we'll see Akito again?"
She liked Akito! He was pretty! And she thought how awkward he was at first was so cute. Though, she wondered why Edward hadn't asked where he lived, she had noticed that Edward seemed at peace with Akito.
Edward turned, shrugging. He was quiet, but she knew he was thinking the same thing. Lorelz scowled, brushing past him.
"Well, booooring."

Voices filtered though the air and caused the black male to roll onto his paws ears perked up alertly. He wanted to be prepared in case the foxes approaching him were unfriendly. Hearing more of the sounds that were barely over a murmur, he frowned in recognition. He knew the voices didn't belong to his family or tribe members, but they were familiar just the same.
Rising, Akito headed in the direction he'd heard the voices. Cresting a hill, he saw the owners of the voices and recognition flooded him. There was the green chatty female and the much calmer blue male he had met. Akito searched for their names...Lorelz and Edward. Akito plopped himself under the new tree he was under and waited to be noticed. Shouldn't be too hard, he was only slightly to the left of them.

Edward listened to Lorelz begin to ramble, tail flicking lazily side to side. Yes, he wondered if they would meet Akito again, and yes, he was fairly attractive, but Edward did not live looking to the future, unlike Lorelz. He enjoyed the present, unlike the green vixen who would indulge mostly in the past and the future. However, his eyes caught a familiar creature, turning his head to click his tongue at Lorelz.
"Lorry, I'm sorry to interrupt," This was true. "However, the gods have smiled upon you." He poked his nose in the direction of a black and bright male, watching Lorelz's green eyes roll over.
"Gods my butt." She chirped back, turning to spot the very male she had been talking about. Her tail wagged furiously, grinning at Akito from where she was. "Oh! So they have!" She turned to Edward, nipping her friends ear to follow and galloped over to the males side, plopping down beside Akito, her tail wagging a mile a minute.
"Fancy seeing you here~ Remember us?" She beamed at the younger male, barely noticing when Edward settled down a distance away, giving both her and Akito room.

The black male watched the interplay between the two foxes, once again realizing how close the two of them were. He cocked an ear, unabashedly listening in on the part of the conversation he'd come in on. They seemed happy to see him too, as evidenced by Lorelz plopping herself down next to him. He forgot she was like most of the other females he knew: far more touchy-feely than he was normally comfortable with.
Akito felt his near instinctive response of tensing up when someone was too close but forced himself to relax. After dealing with his mother, his sister, his kit, and a tribe, he really shouldn't still be so sensetive, but he was. "Hello...Lorelz." Boy, he hoped his memory was correct. "And Edward." He nodded to the blue male.
Looking between the two, he cocked an eyebrow. "What's this about smiling gods now?" He asked.

Edward shook his head, nodding to Lorelz to explain. She bounced in her seat, if that was even possible, and grinned at the male from ear to ear, tail wagging. Edward knew she loved males attention, sometimes even females. As long as they looked at her and liked her. He was pleased Akito remembered their names, even impressed. Lorelz however looked elated.
"We were just talking about you!" Lorelz noticed how tense Akito was, moving slightly away and lowering her voice, careful not to frighten the male away. Younger male! Awh, how cute~
"He was mentioning how the gods must love us for bringing us to you, Akito~" She hoped she was right about his name, smiling over at Edward, who nodded in agreement.

Akito looked from Edward to Lorelz, since she seemed to be the spokesperson. He noticed her sliding away and inwardly kicked himself while a voice that sounded remarkably like his sister scolded him for being so anti-social. Giving a small, but sincere, smile, he nodded in understanding.
"I see. Though I think most think the gods love them when I leave." He said jokingly. "How have you two been since we last saw each other?"

The male was content with watching the two, smirking to himself. Well, the male seemed to not be completely recoiling from the love-struck vixen, even though she was acting like a teen. She was older than Akito....right? He was pretty sure she was older than him, too, though barely. The male smiled back when Akito offered a small but true smile, amused. Last time they had met he was more stand-offish.
The question didn't need him to answer, he was normally reserved and quiet unless directly asked a question Lorelz couldn't answer, but she could now it seemed. Anyway, she seemed truly happy having the male talk to her.
He smiled! And was joking! Lorelz giggled, tail wagging side to side lazily but happily. "Mmmm, we went hunting recently and Edward caught a....a..." "A bat." "Yes! I almost forget! It tasted disgusting though. Oh and Edward met a girllll~ And and and we almost got crushed by a tree recently, but Edward saved me in the nick of time!"
She grinned, tail wagging faster now, excited and encouraged by Akito's past responses to them, however her eyes widened and a pout formed when her stomach rumbled, ears flicking backwards. "But we haven't eaten in a bit since a storm is coming and Eddy rather find a cave then eat... He doesn't understand how to treat a girl sometimes."

"A bat?" He asked, one ear going back and a skeptical look on his face. He had to agree with Lorelz, that didn't sound remotely appatizing. "You met a girl?" Akito asked Edward, wondering if Lorelz meant like a mate or a friend.
Ears flicking forward at the sudden rumble of Lorelz's stomach before looking up at the sky. It did seem as if a storm was going to break soon. "...I can hunt." He offered. "If you're hungry, I can hunt. I come from the north, and the storms around here have been very mild compared to the ones we have in Kousetsu."

"Her name is Peri." He said, his smile slowly returning for a split second. The smile became still finally, looking at Lorelz, who was obviously dying to ask a question.
Lorelz looked at Akito, tail wagging. "Really? Eddy won't let me hunt, he wants me to get into the cave and somewhere safe. Say! How about we hunt, and you can join us for shelter?" She stopped, blinking at Akito, smiling. "Wait, what is Kousetsu?" She looked at Edward, then Akito.

Judging by the smile, Akito figured it was a girl in the mate-ish sense and the black male sent Edward a small grin before turning back to Lorelz. "Ah, well, if the weather's too cold for you, you should probably find shelter." He said tentatively, after all, if her friend thought it was a bad idea for her to hunt in a storm, there was probably a good reason for that, right?
On the other paw, maybe she knew what she was doing, and he shouldn't question her. Akito sighed quietly; his sister would probably have his head about now. He wasn't trying to be anti-social, and he hoped it didn't come off as that.
"Kousetsu is my tribe. It's located in the far north and our elder's name is Loki." He replied. "Kousetsu is my home."

Lorelz frowned, nodding softly. A tribe? She always wondered what being in one was like, and, was highly curious to if she would fit into one in the first place. However, before she could question why he joined she caught Edward smirking back at Akito. Were they sharing secret smiles? She (jealous slightly) sighed, looked at Akito, and grinned sweetly.
"Well, if I have to go in some stinky cave, would you come with us? Edward said he smelled the storm approaching quickly, and, you'd get caught into it too if you don't move soon. Why not join us?" She asked, looking at Edward, who agreed with a slight nod.
He smirked when Akito sent that knowing smirk, thoughts of Peri drifting through his head for a brief second before focusing on Lorelz and Akito once more. When she mention the storm, he nodded.
"I will not force you to come with us, but, you should find shelter." He said, genuinely wanting Akito to be safe, just like he wanted to protect Lorelz.

Akito scented the air and realized Edward was right; the storm was coming in fast. "Thank you. I suppose I should go to ground too. If you really don't mind, I'll join you."
Being used to the storms in the north, Akito was leery of taking shelter without food, but he also knew the storms weren't that bad down here. Still...he tilted his head and regarded the other two foxes. "I passed a rabbit warren on the way here. Maybe we could get a couple before finding a cave?"

When the male agreed she giggled, tail wagging as she grinned. "That's great!" She mewled, looking at Edward, who nodded in agreement. "Lets get some food then!" With this, she tested the waters by nudging Akito's cheek, just a gentle and testing nudge before standing and padding to the side, eager to get food and have Akito in the cave!
Edward smiled at the male, nodding. "Alright. We can grab a few rabbits." He was worried they wouldn't make it time, and it showed by how he shifted from foot to foot. Suddenly, he had an idea. Lorelz could go to the cave and be safe while they hunted. Then again, she'd think he was babying her because of her gender. True, he was acting like a gentleman because she was a lady, but, she didn't need to know that. He had raised himself to be polite.

Akito immediately tensed, still not used to being touched, and he winced. He really, really hoped that Lorelz didn't take it the wrong way. Thinking quickly, Akito surged to his feet and caught up with the green female, giving her a friendly shoulder rub. That was a pretty big move for him since he never initiated contact.
Akito looked back at Edward and tilted his head confidently, hoping that the other male would know that the two of them could definitely keep Lorelz safe. "Come on, the warren is this way. We'll get a couple and find a cave before eating."
