Hey guys, I just finished watching Movie War Core (thanks to Over-Time Subs) and I have my personal review of the movie:
Well, coming off of watching Kamen Rider W Forever A to Z - Gaia Memory of Fate, I was hoping that Movie War Core would just out-do that movie by far. I was a little disappointed, however.
This movie is broken up into three parts, much like how the Decade x Double movie was. Part one is Kamen Rider Skull's back-story, as Ahiko was experiencing it through the Memory memory. Part two was OOO storyline involving Kogami (Cake-Boss) reviving Oda Nobunaga as a Greeed. Part two Double x OOO battle against Kamen Rider Core, a giant half formed fiery version of Rider 1 made from three Black Core Medals and the Memory memory.
Honestly, I did enjoy the Kamen Rider Skull's back-story about how he became Skull, though it felt a little rushed and didn't really flesh much out in it. The other two parts felt just as rushed, and really didn't feel much like an epic movie to me (after the hype I had read before watching the movie).
As for my rating, I would say if you are a mega-fan of Double and OOO, go for it. But I would recommend A-Z more if you want an epic movie.
And as for the recent news of the OOO summer movie: Kamen Rider OOO: WONDERFUL Shogun and 21 Core Medals, I think I will pass up this movie when it eventually will be subbed.
As for the 40th Anniversary movie, I do want to see that one when it is subbed. It does look very good. Just hope it's hype holds up.
