This is an indie game that came out through Steam for computers a short time ago. It's sold pretty damn well for having such a limited release, going only through Steam, having sold 200 thousand in 10 days.

I'm curious if anyone else here is playing, and want to gauge if there is any support for a guild multiplayer game. I'm not sure of how the MP mechanics work just yet, but would be willing to look into them if there is support for the idea.

If you want some details on the game, just google the name or check it out on youtube. In a nutshell, it is similar in some elements to Minecraft, but in 2D, with a more combat and goal oriented style. (It's not just build and explore, there are many enemies to fight including bosses, despite it being a randomly generated world.)

I haven't tried it out, but the gameplay video of it that I saw left me a bit wanting. It looked like it had a lot of potential but made me glad that the video said the game was still in beta. I don't know if it's out of beta by now or not.

I don't believe it ever went into an official beta. They released it to the public directly from Alpha, and will continue adding content and fixing bugs, performing tweaks as times goes on, similar to what Notch does with Minecraft.

Gameplay video can be mixed. It depends on who you are watching play. My best advise would probably be to find a good Let's Player like Northlion, that is fresh to the game, so you are experiencing the game as they are to get a true feel for the game.

I wouldn't have been very interested if I first saw it in a video of people running around with high tier gear tearing through the game. It's all about progression.

I've watched a lot of Terraria videos as well and it didn't look too appealing to me.

And this coming from a Minecraft fanatic may sound ridiculous,
but I don't see the point in the game? DD;
