Shun had been back for a while now and Mitsu was finally settling into the fact that he was actually going to stay. For the first few days she had feared he would just run off again after making sure she was okay. Luckily he had stayed put and it finally seemed like things were turning around a little, though her weeks continued on with one painful truth that would never change. She still had to go see Suto.
Like today, she had left class to go sit in the courtyard after school waiting for the students to leave and go back to their dorms. Once the school was cleared she would go back inside to meet with the science teacher.
She had been leery about letting Shun know when she went. He really threw himself on the line to help her out but she didn't want him to feel like he had to. It wasn't the best of situations but she could get by.
Eyes staring at the homework in her hands that she had no desire to do, Mitsu waited and listened to the sound of retreating footsteps. There weren't many people left on campus so she would have to go back inside soon. It was a shame, it was a nice day out. She would have preferred to be out in the sun instead of stuck in the school basement all evening.

It was a little weird to be back after pretty much cutting himself off from most of the world for weeks. Shun was still a bit on edge as he knew he hadn't gotten rid of his enemies. At least he wouldn't have to worry about his father's assassins or Nyx. .
That day, he was about wandering the campus, getting some fresh air. School had ended for the day, and all the students were slowly filing out to do other things. As he looked on around, he managed to spot the white haired girl not too far off, doing her homework in the open.
He was well aware that Mitsu still had to see Suto and it still irked him as hell. There was still something he needed to confront the scientist about as well
"Hey," he said quietly to her as he came on by, wondering if she had to meet with that b*****d today at all.

It took a moment for Mitsu's rather blank stare to turn up toward the assassin. She had been holding a pencil over a problem like she had been trying to attempt it but in all reality her pencil had been sitting in the same spot for the last few minutes while she was lost in thought. When her brain finally registered who it was in front of her she seemed to snap out of her trance finally able to offer a greeting of her own.
"O...oh hey. Sorry...was kinda focused." But it certainly wasn't on the work in her lap. She was fairly quick at getting her homework done and not a single thing was written on any of the papers.
"How has school been? Do you need help with any of your classes?" Mitsu asked knowing Shun was probably readjusting to school life all over again. No doubt he was fairly behind after his little absence. She wondered what excuse he might have given the teachers for why he was gone so long.

"Eh," Shun started while glancing away. Schoolwork was never a major concern of his.
"Still catching up I guess," he said after a pause. He knew if he didn't get some of it done, Mitsu would likely get onto him for it. It all just seemed rather menial to him though. It didn't help that whenever he actually did his work, he ended up misreading things most of the time or something along those lines. His grades certainly weren't a reflection on his intelligence, however.
"What are you up to?" he asked, glancing at the homework she had on her lap.

Mitsu frowned a little. She knew Shun didn't like to do his homework and she knew why. That's why she had offered to help, it would make things a little easier on him. "I can always help." She offered again.
Though when he asked what she was up to she faltered. "Just...trying to get some chemistry homework done..." Though when she looked down she realized a fatal flaw in her lie. What was on top wasn't chemistry but a math assignment. Shuffling her papers a bit she set them aside, weary eyes looking to the last of the students leaving school grounds wishing she was among them. Suto would be expecting her soon.

"I don't want to trouble you.." he replied. He really didn't. The girl already had her own homework to worry about without needing to help him because he had issues reading.
Glancing at the papers before she shuffled them, he took note that it didn't look like their chemistry homework much at all. While he didn't get to see much of it or even paid a great deal of attention, he had glanced at the papers received earlier and it didn't quite appear like the one that she had.
"You seem.. tired. Maybe you should try to take a break," he said. Though, if Suto was involved at all in her schedule today, that wasn't going to be happening at all.

Tired? Well, Mitsu supposed that was a good enough excuse. Smiling rather nervously she looked up toward the assassin. "I..is it that obvious?"
Looking over toward the clock tower Mitsu noted the time. She needed to be at the office within minutes. Mr. Adolphus would be expecting her. "I..I guess I will take a break. I need to head inside for a moment." Maybe if she left it vague Shun wouldn't figure it out...but she knew he was no fool. He knew what she often did after school hours.
Quietly she shuffled her things into her bag before pulling the item up and throwing one of the straps over her shoulder. She had gotten a little bit better at hiding how nervous she felt but it was still clear in her eyes as she focused on everything except the assassin. "If you need help with your homework let me know. It's no trouble to help."

Shun nodded slowly, but he still didn't really think that weariness was the only thing plaguing her right now. He watched her for a moments before glancing towards the building.
"I'll come along," he said almost nonchalantly, "I get the feeling you're about to pay him a visit... I have a bit of a bone to pick with that man still."
The assassin grimaced with these words. He wasn't sure how encountering Suto in the basement will go. The scientist sure acted like nothing was wrong during class and such. But there was no denying that the man had asked for him to be killed off, and infront of Mitsu.

As she suspected he had a pretty good idea where she was going. "S...shun. I....Please..." She was having trouble trying to get out what she wanted to say. "I...I don't want you to get hurt." She finally managed looking the assassin in his one good eye. He had already endured so much pain.
The clock tower started to chime letting those close by know the new hour was upon them. Clinging to her backpack strap tightly, Mitsu started to edge her way toward the building's entrance. "I...I have to go or I'll be late."

"I need to speak with him.." he said softly, staring back into her eyes. Shun could see the concern she had and it hurt that he was worrying her like this, but he felt he needed to do this. Getting hurt was not much of an issue for him as usual. Pain may as well be a part of his everyday life.
Nodding to her, he started to head towards the building at a fair pace. He didn't want to end up making her late.
The assassin wasn't sure how this was going to go but he was trying to prepare himself for any potential signs or acts of hostility.

Mitsu made her way inside, disappointed to hear Shun's footsteps behind her. She really wished he would have just gone back to the dorms where it was safe. Suto hadn't asked about him, even after seeing him in class so she was certain he had given up on the boy.
Turning toward the Teacher's office Mitsu's pace started to slow. She always had to force herself the rest of the way being in no real hurry to get where she needed to be. When she was finally at the door she peered in, the science teacher sitting at his desk typing away at his computer.
"You're running late..." He stated bluntly not even bothering to look up toward her.
"I..I'm sorry. I was doing homework..."

Quietly making his way through the halls, Shun paused as they came on into the office. He saw Suto sitting there and the sight of the man had him narrowing his good eye. A part of him wanted to go and try and slit the man's throat or something along those lines on the spot, but that wouldn't get him very far.
It was a sensation he had in class even, but it was stronger when they were in a more private environment.
Rather than announcing his presence, he stood there, glaring at the scientist.

"I see we have an old friend back," Suto said with amusement, for the first time acknowledging Shun. Even during class the scientist hadn't made note of the boy's return. Instead he continued on as if he had never vanished.
Mitsu looked back as Shun entered the room behind her, seeing that glaring look he had for Mr. Adolphus. She didn't like the scientist either but by now she really had no choice in the matter. The wolf girl had to come see him to get her medicine, medicine that barely seemed to work anymore.
"I hope you enjoyed your little vacation," Finally Suto glanced away from the computer to look at the boy. "By the lack of an eye I can assume it was eventful."

"You could say that," Shun said lowly while remaining where he was, "I'm surprised I didn't end up running into any of your little minions while I was out. Decided to give up on killing me after that night?"
The tone he used was practically venomous, but he pretty much cut straight to the chase of why he had shown up. He really wished there was some why he could try and find out what sort of pills it was that Mitsu took or find some way so that she wouldn't have to rely on this man. For the time being, he was unaware that Blade had been caught in this trap as well, but he didn't really care about that guy that much in the first place.

Suto smiled at Shun's venomous words his attention going back to the computer as he started to turn everything off. "What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. I'm sure that's a phrase you are accustomed to." It's like he was avoiding the subject but not entirely. He didn't agree that he had been the one to seen the creatures into the alley.
Everything shut down the scientist stood from his seat. "Well, since you are here you might as well join us. Our other guest will no doubt be arriving shortly." If Blade showed up on time.
Turning back Mitsu looked up at Shun with worry. She shook her head slightly trying to tell him not to come. He could be rid of this place, there was nothing tying him to the scientist like there was for her and Blade.
