Sepheran sat up in his bed with a startled expression. "Liannan...I forgot!" he exclaimed suddenly. The white snake sitting on the dresser near the bed lifted her ghost like head her eyes glowing in the darkness of the night. She gave a quizzical look, or as much as one as a snake could give in the darkness. Sepheran quickly hurried off his bed moving to pick her up and turn the light on in his dorm. The homework Professor Blue gave before the field trip, I almost forgot about it! In the excitement of everything I never got to study. I would have done it on the trip, but I didn't want to risk harming the violin," Sepheran explained as he moved to the desk where he had laid the violin he had gotten earlier from class. "Best to get some practice in now...care to be my audience Liannan?" Sepheran asked as he moved to sit back on the bed this time with Liannan on his shoulder for support.

It had been a while since he had played, he hoped he would still be able to play the instrument well. The first thing he had to do was to tune the violin since it had been some time since he paid attention to it, surely it deserved some attention before he used it. Once the body was cleaned and tuned he set his attention to the bow making sure it was properly cared for before finally nodding. "Let's see..." Sepheran said softly as he ran it across the strings. The screech the erupted however made him tense, perhaps he had tuned it wrong...

Lifting his hands to the knobs he began adjusting them again tightening the strings on the violin. "Looks like I didn't tune it right...this seem good Liannan?" he questioned not able to see himself. It was one of the disadvantaged to his condition, but as he learned from his experience on the last trip, it could also be a good thing that he couldn't see properly.
Lifting his bow once more he took a breath before sliding the bow across the strings hoping he had done it correctly this time. A small smile emerged when he heard the right tune resound. "That's better, sounds much nicer now...which song should I play though Liannan?" Sepheran questioned as he began to think of something he could practice playing.

Sepheran took a few minutes to think of a song to play, the only one coming to mind was the school theme. Shrugging his shoulders he decided to go ahead and play that. "Well, here goes nothing I suppose," Sepheran commented as he positioned the violin against his chin and closed his eyes to help him focus. He knew the song it was only a matter of playing the right notes now.
Surprisingly the beginning seemed to be going along well. He played decently enough losing himself in the tempo of the song. Oh how he loved to play the violin, he had forgotten how nice it was to just relax and play. WIth the first part of the song soon passing he moved to the middle of the song hoping it would go as well as it had with the first.

Sepheran felt a little tense as he continued to play a bit worried about how to play a certain part. It was that tenseness that shown in his playing, luckily he hadn't screwed up so much as to play the wrong note, but it was quite obvious it wasn't as good as he had been during the beginning.
Liannan seemed to feel his body tense, gently she slid her tail up to lightly rub against the base of his neck before thumping the beat softly in an attempt to get him back on track for the ending.

The gentle thumps of Liannan tail seemed to do the trick. Sepheran calmed again letting him body loosen the tune returning to it's beautiful tone he had started with. Yes, that was better, and it was thanks to Liannan's quick thinking that he hadn't messed up. He had to be confident in himself.
A few more stroke of the bow and the song sadly finished. The lovely notes that filled the room were soon cut off as Sepheran lowered the violin opening his eyes and turning his head to Liannan on his shoulder. "Thank you Liannan," he said putting the bow down to give her a gentle rub to show his thanks.

Looking at the clock Sepheran blinked. Was it that late already? A few hours had passed without him realizing it, perhaps because he was having so much fun. He still had a bit more practicing to do though. Taking the bow he started again playing the song a few more times before feeling confident enough.
Taking his violin he got up once more heading to the desk to set it back down carefully. "Liannan...I should play more some time...maybe I can get a new violin later..." he mumbled lightly. For now though it was off to bed for him. With his homework out of the way he felt his eyes grow heavy. Leaving the violin on the desk he moved to turn off the light and head back to bed setting Liannan on the tabletop next to the bed before climbing in himself. "Night Liannan," he said before drifting off to sleep.
