Thursday had come around, and Spinel was sitting on the bottom of the fire escape at his apartment building. Before settling, he'd done a careful sweep of the area for senshi auras--there were a few powerful ones around here occasionally, but he assumed since he could sense none, none of them were going to get to him before he knew they were there.
...Theoretically.
Still, it was a safe enough place, and they would be on the move anyway--to an abandoned warehouse, the same one where he'd made that plan with Vivianite. Isolated enough to keep most senshi away, but close enough to home that they wouldn't need to teleport back. Logical, like he liked his plans to be.
Now he just had to keep his eyes and... other senses... open for Corrupted Sailor Alunite. It wouldn't be hard to know when he was approaching, but he still didn't want to be caught slacking.

A corrupted senshi's aura was hard to overlook - and completely impossible to miss if one was actually looking for it. It wasn't long before Alunite's aura was able to be felt from where Spinel was left waiting.
Another advantage was that the newbie would have no issue following Spinel's aura straight to him - which he did. It wasn't long before he could, in fact, be seen.
This was definitively Lieutenant Fluorite's brother - a little darker skinned, deep brown eyes rather than vivid green, but beyond that, had it not been for the fact that he was obviously older, they might as well have been twins.
...Alunite was also short. Not as short as his sister, but... short. Must run into the family.
He looked more than a little lost. Tentative, perhaps. He hadn't met many others of the negaverse yet, and not one of them had been someone who was basically just like him. He was fidgeting, hands pulling at his skirt with a barely subdued annoyance So did the ponytail. Fidget fidget fidget. The senshi couldn't seem to find a way to lay it without it bothering him.
"Hello ?" He called out, mot having truly spotted Spinel yet.

"Hello." Spinel stood up--with how close he sat to the building, it must have looked like a tall shadow unfolding itself, except for pale spidery hands. He could clearly see Alunite's resemblance to the short Lieutenant who had come to him for help less than a week before; taller, a little sharper and rougher, but they were still clearly brother and sister. Spinel knew that he, himself, looked more like a stereotypical vampire--milky-pale skin, dark hair, reddish eyes. It was a trick he'd used to great effect on gullible women to steal starseeds--and later, energy.
He stepped forward then, having had a moment to observe. The man was nervous, which was understandable. The man felt lost, which Spinel understood as well--it echoed, perhaps, how he felt at just that moment. "Alunite," he said, extending one hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Spinel. Your sister asked me to look out for you." A senshi with a year's experience behind him, yes--he knew his place and rarely tried to leave it, which explained why he had gone unpromoted for so long. Still, he was perfectly capable of helping newbies to their ranks, whether they were corrupted senshi or lieutenant. "Do you have any fighting experience, first of all."

Alunite only seemed to truly spot Spinel when he rose, and then finally headed in that direction, taking the offered hand. "I am, it is a pleasure indeed."
Though a part of him was still very much asking himself what the hell he had gotten himself into, that fateful night. It was too late for that, through. Too late for second-guessing.
"Not all that much of it..." Unless one counted shoving younger brats in lockers for picking on one's sister, but Alunite was fairly certain such did not apply here.

Honestly, Spinel had always doubted there was even a chance for second-guessing. Even if he'd wanted to, would he have been able to refuse Charonite's offer and live? Was that even a true choice, if... having no had such terrible consequences?... He didn't think so, and it was like a bone caught in his throat when he considered it now. He'd always been so proud to have chosen the right side.
"Well. It's something you'll work through," he said. He knew that his... um... Well, they'd picked him for a reason and that involved being tall, fairly strong and able to flip people over his shoulder. (Or that was what he'd been told.)
He crossed his arms over his chest and considered it. "Or I could show you some things, later." Perhaps they could spar? He almost never got to practice against another senshi. It could be educational!... couldn't it? He supposed so.
Spinel rubbed the space just behind one ear. "For now... Do you have any questions?" He didn't remember having very many when first corrupted. It had, strangely, been like a breath of fresh air. Finally: An opportunity to control everything that had ever bothered him! ... It was rather hollow, though. In retrospect.

Whatever reasons Alunite had ended up in the negaverse that had not been for his sister's direct involvement, it certainly didn't involve the same reasons that Spinel had. He was on the short side for a male, looked like a lanky computer nerd (because that was exactly what he was), and probably wouldn't be able to flip a dude over his shoulder even if his life depended on it.
There would need some work, here...
Questions... "So what... do I have to do ?" He asked. "I mean, Fluorite told me that as a senshi, my... tasks wouldn't be quite the same as hers, but she wasn't able to tell me much about it."

After a moment, Spinel started to head away from his apartment building; he'd sensed a good senshi's aura nearby, and didn't want to risk anyone catching them. Especially not anyone who seemed that strong. "You assist the officer you're assigned to in their duties," he said as they walked, accompanied by the faint jingle of the bells on the ends of his sleeve. The bandolier, however, was completely silent. He wasn't entirely sure why, only knowing that they wouldn't ring unless he wanted them to.
"There's nothing we as a group are actually meant to do, as far as I understand it, unless you're specifically given a mission from the higher ups. But that, as I understand it, is rare. In fact, I've never heard of a, quote unquote, corrupted senshi getting a mission specifically." Spinel shrugged one shoulder, bringing an extra jingle. "I assist my officer with his energy collection duties, and that seems to be where it ends. For me. I understand sometimes it works differently."
He could be incorrect, though. He just wasn't going to admit that might be so.

Alunite seemed aware of the senshi presence, but only on the basest of levels - he was looking out and about as he fell into step beside Spinel, looking vaguely confused. He clearly was looking for something, but he wasn't completely sure what.
Sure, he'd been told about auras - but experiencing it for himself was another thing. "...Is something nearby ?" He finally asked, trying to pinpoint this odd sensation he had never felt before.
Assist the officer you're assigned with ? That meant Fluorite in his case, most likely ? At least, he hadn't heard of being assigned to anyone else. "I get it." Still... working under his little sister.
Well, there were worse things.
