Monster in particular. Beware. As awesome as it is, so delicious, so addictive.... prolonged use can have negative consequences. I lost half of my kidney functions with Monster playing a role in that. Stopped drinking it, only to bring it back in, once a day, just as a pre-workout 'meal' along with a cookie when I went out to the garage to lift weights.

Once the weather got cold again and I had to abandon my lifting for the year, I went right on drinking them. I stopped a few weeks back for good. Pissing blood has a rather dramatic motivating factor in quitting a bad habit. X3

I find energy drinks highly entertaining, but I have found out that they don't go well with drug use. X3
When I did Rocky Horror (if anyone is interested in what I mean by that other than Kan, let me know and I'll explain) I ended up drinking grape Nos at the beginning of every show to keep myself awake. There was one time when I added some Klonopin to that mix. I had this very amusing sensation of being totally aware that I couldn't hold anything up. Add a beer and clearing an in- line bubbler a few hours later, and I passed out so fast I can't remember it.

These days, I enjoy a Redbull or a grape Nos every now and then, if I have to stay awake.

I have no idea Rocky Horror means. You should quote me on this.

By Rocky Horror, she means the orgies she used to participate in at this shack in the hills.

I know Nos tastes good. I never saw what the effect on people they had till this year and that's when I started drinking them here and there. I've had a little sip of Nos, it's good, one my friends went all out and stupidly spent a 100 dollars on as many as he could get. I've had this one called Knockout, the blue one.... It's good, but I can only stand so much. What is in energy drinks that makes them so addictive to you guys? Is it taste? Or just the fact that you can do them and they make you stay awake?

The taste factors in a bit in which one you most prefer, but the addictive quality is the amount of caffeine that is put in them. That, combined with the cocktail of vitamins, especially the B set which contributes to an energy boost, makes them habit forming.

Ah, I see. I'm not a caffeine junkie, but those things don't make me really hyper either. But they don't sound that bad, well.... everyone once in a while.

I never really got into energy drinks other than for awhile I got into Monster. Normally I just drink tea or water. Kind of boring, but they are good for you. Better than sodas or other sugar infested drinks.

I agree with Kan for the most part, however, taste is really important as well. I don't drink things that don't taste good no matter what. If it tastes good and should so happen to help me stay awake, all the better.
I do make an effort to be sparing with the amount of energy drinks I consume, no more than a couple a month usually.
