So, I've noticed that topics about books crop up quite often around here (understandably) and it made me think, Why don't we just have one specific thread for it?
This way there aren't a whole bunch now and then that is basically the same thing. So, yeah. What are you reading right now?
Feel free to discuss any book (you don't have to be reading it right at this moment) or recommend favorites to other people.
Right now I'm reading City of Glass by Cassandra Clare. It's quite good. 3nodding

I read City of Glass two years ago, and have yet to read the 2nd book, I really should though. I've read Clockwork Angel which is the prequel to that series, and it was really good! I didn't have to read the other books in the Mortal Instrument series to understand anything.
Right now I'm reading Hard Bitten by Chloe Neill, the 4th book in the Chicagoland Vampire Series.
I also have a few books checked out from the library right now that I have yet to read like, I am Number Four, The Lost Hero, and Truth of the Matter. I'm hoping I can finish all of them before their due dates.

Riku;; City of Ashes... wasn't GREAT. But I enjoyed it. I'm REALLY excited to read Clockwork Angel, my friend's bringing it to school tomorrow since I'll probably finish City of Glass tonight. (I really need to seeing as I have to give the book back to the person I'm borrowing it from tomorrow anyway.) Yeah, I've heard it's a bit more enjoyable and some things make a bit more sense if you read them in the order they came out, which is what I'm doing. 3nodding
Lost Hero is great! That reminds me... I need to make sure I get that book back from my friend tomorrow.
Icee;; Of course! I'm gonna try really hard to make sure this one doesn't die though.
And I should reread the series again before Deathly Hallows Part II comes out.

I just realized that I've never read City of Glass, but City of Bones! Silly me! It would be kind of strange if someone started with the 3rd book.....
Clockwork Angel is AMAZING. I absolutly loved it, and can't wait for the next one in September.
I plan on starting Lost Hero this weekend, excited to start it!
I hate myself right now. I have a REALLY bad habbit of always looking ahead in books and I looked ahead in a book I'm reading at the moment to find out a main character DIES! Ugh, it's hard to keep reading after you find that out.

I recently began reading the Oz books by L. Frank Baum. They're actually some interesting kids' books. I have a Kindle, and I've been reading the free archived copies at Project Gutenberg. I've actually just finished reading all 14 Oz books that Baum wrote before he died, as well as a couple of other books that he tied into Oz. And I read the first book after that in the Oz series as it was continued by Ruth Plumly Thompson. She's got a few differences from Baum, but she does justice to the characters. I'll continue reading, but I don't know how much farther I'll be able to get on Gutenberg.org because I think the point I'm at is nearing the advent of copyright. I don't know how many more books in the series are public domain. Might have to hit up an actual library. Anyway, I highly recommend checking them out.

I'm currently reading Fairest of All by Serena Valentino. It starts with the Queen's marraige to Snow White's father and follows through to her end. Along the way you get to see the person she was and what drove her to make them attempt on Snow's life. I've only started it but the book is amazing.

Riku;; Haha, I was wondering about that, but I know a lot of people that read series in weird orders, so I wasn't going to comment. xD
Oh, I hate when I do that too. >w< After I read the last line of Catching Fire before I had finished, I decided to never do it again.
Just finished reading The Forgotten Locket by Lisa Mangum (AMAZING SERIES, I'm sad it's over now, but so happy at the great ending!)
And I'm currently reading The Clockwork Angel. 3nodding

You guys kept talking about City of Angels or City of Glass and it made me remember a book series that kinda went by constellations. Has anybody read the City of Masks or any of its sequels?
Oh, and currently I'm reading Catching Fire because I want to know how it ends before the movie gets here.
