(To clear up any confusion here, I get permission from Dante to play one of my commission pokemon, Pastin. <3 so no rules are being broken :3)
White boots crunched against the gravel path that lead just outside the city, where the wilderness and thinning building met. walking with a brisk skip almost, and a voice that sang to no one but herself, indicated that the traveler was high spirits. It was a common occurrence actually, to see Rosie singing and smiling, and on such a beautiful day, it was hard not to.
Dressed in her trainers outfit, pink skirt swishing around her legs as she hurried off the path and up more gradual slops of lush early summer grass. She wasn't yet entirely comfortable going to far from the city, but she knew of a place that was very good for open space training. Sure it was nothing like the Calamus Plains, but she didn't have to go so far to get there.
A shadow passed over her in a flash, causing Rosie to look up, eyebrows arching to see her Pidgeot, Perdy fly past her. She had let him fly free on the way to the field, he liked that, and he never flew out to far. "Perdy!" Rosie called to him, holding an arm out as she moved continued up the hill.
Banking in a wide circle when he was called, the large brightly colored bird answered her call, flying back over her.

It was quiet in that open field, and nothing but the sound of the wind whispering through the trees and the heather could be heard. In the middle of the field was a young man kneeling in the wild grasses, his head bowed and his hand positioned firmly on the hilt of the long sword at his side. There was nothing to be heard for a few moments, or a few minutes, or perhaps even longer than that. As if from a sudden, unheard signal, though, the man raised his head, opened his previously closed eyes, and from his kneeling position leaped into the air while simultaneously drawing his sword. His hands hit the ground as he flipped backwards and up into a standing position, the sword in his hand glistening in the midday sunlight.
His feet landed in a fighting stance and, with a burst of determination, the man began to move this way and that way, cutting down countless rows of imaginary enemies with sword in hand. He made strikes and feigned blocks, only to parry the attacks of the invisible foes and mow them down. His blue eyes were narrowed with concentration as he struck down enemy after enemy after enemy. It seemed like no time at all had passed when, finally, the young man ceased his practicing and sheathed his sword, breathing heavily as a droplet of sweat trickled down the side of his face.
Behind the man, the sound of a tiny pair of hands clapping made him turn around to face his audience. There was Anonymes, whose expression was one of absolute delight and wonder. That was so cool! How did Master do all of that? Did he practice like that all the time? So many questions! Guy chuckled and gave a mock bow to his fan. The little Litwick was so easy to please...
Above the field, Guy heard the call of some kind of Pokemon. He looked upwards in his surprise and found a large Pidgeot banking above him. It seemed to be responding to someone... or something. Guy's eyes glanced over to the small hill at the edge of the field as he heard someone approaching him from it. The swordsman frowned and retreated back into his battle stance, hand hovering over his sword-hilt. ...Well, one could never be too careful in a foreign country. "Who goes there," he called out to whoever this stranger was.

The Pidgeot's brown eyes stayed locked on the man below on the grass as his long wings splayed, one side dipping as he circled around to return back to Rosie, Brightly colored feather crest gleaming brightly in the sun, slicked back with his speed. "Pigooo" He called again, with good natured intent before his large pink and white form leveled out and he soared back to his trainer.
"Hum?" Blue eyes blinked when a call from another human drifted from the wind, she lifted her head, lips parting slightly, using a hand to keep her hair back from her eyes to try and get a better view of who she was sharing the field with today. Feeling a little cautious herself, but something about the distant form looked familiar.
Taking a step back when large beating wings lowered her Pidgeot by her, she drew her attention back onto him and giggles lightly at the mellow smile feathering the corners of his beak, he greeted his trainer with. "Lets go see who else is here." She told him, stepping back over to Perdy.
With a low chirp in reply the pink Pidgeot lowered himself closer to the ground, splaying his wings to give the impression that he was taking a regal bow. From there, Rosie was easily able to hop onto his back, and with a confirmation that she was set, Perdy once again lifted his wings into the hair, and three hard flaps managed to push himself back into the air.
Rosie held onto her pokemon's shoulders, easily staying on while they made the short trip across the field, the blond girl leaned forward, tilting her head as they got closer to the man, before she suddenly smiled upon recognizing him. "Hey!" She called back, holding a hand out as they flew by, and circled around again.
"You're Luke's friend." Perdy hadn't taken to long to bank back around, landing once again to allow his trainer to hop off, and take a couple of steps forward, stopping with a stance that held one foot in front of the other, hands folded in front of her. "You're Guy" She remembered that he was one who was uncomfortable with women being so close to him, so she was careful to keep at a polite distance.

The hand hovering over the sword-hilt at Guy's side fidgeted in anxiousness as he kept one eye on the flying Pidgeot above him and one eye on the figure in the distance. Who was that person...? Somehow, it seemed familiar, but that was surely impossible, right? After all, Guy knew hardly anyone in this strange region. What would be the odds of running by someone he recognized in such a foreign place? His eyebrows raised at the call from the person who had since mounted the Pidgeot and lifted off into the air.
His blue eyes opened a bit wider as he found that he, in fact, did recognize the mysterious person joining him in the open field. 'Luke's friend'...? Yeah, that was pretty much his official title, Guy supposed to himself. Either that, or 'Luke's babysitter,' he thought cynically. His thoughts were quickly eradicated of any sour thoughts towards his younger friend as he regarded the girl with a kind smile.
"Oh, miss Rosie! What a surprise to meet you here," he said, relaxing his hand and replacing them on his hips. He was vaguely aware of Anonymes hovering close to his shoulder, a slightly concerned and curious look on his face. "What're you doing in a place like this?"

She smiled when he seemed to remember her as well, "It really is a surprise, I guess Kodo is a smaller place than we realize. Its good to see you again." At his question she looked over to her pokemon, the large pink Pidgeot stepping up next to her and lowering his head a little to peer over at Guy with an easy going, friendly expression. Rosie reached up to put a hand under his beak.
"I recently got a new pokemon, I was hoping to start his training today as a part of my new team. And this is one of the more open places to train that is close to the city." She explained, with a glance around the field, before looking back at Guy. She noticed the small pokemon floating around the other man's shoulder. It was so cute! "Are you training today as well?" she asked, with a friendly smile to the little pokemon.
She remembered the time they talked to Steven, and how Guy had agreed with Rosie about training and getting stronger.

"Haha, I suppose Kodo is rather small if we keep running into each other like this. It certainly isn't a bad thing, though," he replied, chuckling. Guy regarded the friendly Pidgeot at Rosie's side with a curious smile. It seemed pretty easy-going, but how much power it held couldn't be determined by a look-over alone. "That's... quite a lovely Pokemon you have there. A Pidgeot, is it?"
He blinked as Rosie as she explained her reasons for coming to such an open place as where they were standing then. "I see. Looks like it might pack a real punch." At the mention of his own Pokemon, he smiled and tilted his head towards the little Ghost Pokemon, who frowned slightly and his behind his master's head, tiny hands lightly gripping the mass of blond hair. Guy chuckled, somewhat embarrassed by his Pokemon's shy manner.
"Well, I was more thinking of training myself than anything else today..." He patted the hilt at his side to emphasize his point. "...But now that I have someone to train with, I don't think that a little exercise for Anonymes would hurt. What do you think, little guy?"
The Litwick pondered his master's words for a moment. Should he train with this strangers? He didn't know them very well. What if they tried to hurt him? That would be bad! But wait. Master had a sword. Master could stop them if they tried to hurt him! Yes, Master would protect him. Definitely. And he kind of knew the human girl. Yes, she looked rather nice. He didn't know the other Pokemon, though. He hoped that he was nice as well.
After a few moments of meditating on such sound logic, Anonymes peered out from behind his master's hair and smiled, bobbing up and down. "Lit! Lit-lit!" Guy smiled and petted his little friend affectionately, being careful to avoid the small flame on top of the Pokemon's head. He turned back to Rosie. "I think that means yes. Would you like to train with us? It might prove more effective if our Pokemon practice with each other rather than on our own." Guy also recalled the day not too long ago when they had met the former Hoenn champion and agreed to start training to get stronger and stronger to help with the fight against those wretched Rockets. Anything to get rid of those bastards.

She giggled lightly, in good nature at his comment about them bumping into anything, shaking her head, in agreement to his statement that it wasn't a bad thing, hair bobbing lightly around her cheeks. "Not at all."
Rosie beamed at the complement to Perdy, and the Pidgeot himself seemed to smile a little, puffing his feathers slightly. "Thank you~ I think so to" She answered, reaching out to run her hand through the feather's on the Pidgeot's chest. "His name is Perdy, Perdy, this is one of Luke's friends, his name is Guy." She introduced, gesturing toward the Grand Ile swordsman.
Perdy snapped his beak a couple of times as he chirped, flicking one wing out in greeting.
It was a well known fact, that the best way to help a pokemon with training, and with getting better at battle, was to battle them, not only against their own team, specifically with other trainer's pokemon. So when Guy suggested they train together, Rosie couldn't help but perk up, blue eyes bright with this idea. "I would love to~" She answered, with a smile to the little Litwick. "Its been a while since we got to train with anyone else. And it would be a great start for the newest pokemon on my team."
As she said this, she reached back, to the bow that was sitting on the back of her hip. there she pulled out a Love ball.

Guy chuckled and smiled at Rosie's Pidgeot. The Pokemon was nothing if not polite, he noted silently, as it flicked out a bright wing in greeting. To return the gesture, Guy folded one arm across his stomach and the other behind his back, bending his back slightly in a small bow. "Pleasure to meet you, Perdy. How do you do."
"Fantastic," Guy said in regards to the training for both his and Rosie's Pokemon. "I've never really trained Anonymes much... at all." He smiled sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his neck with one gloved hand. "But what luck that I can train with you and your Pokemon, miss Rosie! I certainly hope that we do well, right, Anon?" He glanced over to the small Ghost Pokemon to affirm his wishes, and the Litwick smiled and nodded in agreement. Anonymes was, understandably, nervous, but he had high hopes. After all, if he got in a jam, Master would surely help him! Of course. There was nothing to worry about, no sir.
When Rosie took out her Love Ball, Guy motioned for Anonymes to move outwards for his imminent training. The Ghost Pokemon obliged, hovering out further into the field. All right... He was ready for anything.

She perked her stance, spinning once, rather skillfully before hurrying back a little to create some distance between them for the battle. Perdy hopped along after her, using his wings to help catch up as he took his place behind his trainer, and out of the way of the battle. Smiling coolly as he settled in to watch his newest team mate, and see how he did.
Rosie took a bow " Thank you for accepting Guy!" She called to him, and with a bright smile lifted the ball quickly into the air, letting it go to permit it to burst open in the air.
Being a love ball, it was expected that the energy that sparked and darted from the split ball was bright pastel pink, dancing happily as it grew, and began to form the outline of the pokemon it held within.
Just as the form became identifiable, the energy broke away in bright sparks, and a Ponyta, who's whole body was covered in handsome splotches of gray, white and brown. Rearing up with a gleeful nay, as the brown colored flames down his back and for his tail licked the air.
"Ready to go Pastin!" Rosie called to the Ponyta, catching her Loveball once it flew back to her.
Pastin snorted happily in reply, tilting her head as blue eyes found the man, and the Litwik standing opposite him. His first battle! He was so excited!

"It's my pleasure," Guy called back to Rosie as she threw her Love Ball into the air. "After all, I'd never refuse a request from a lady!" He and Anonymes both watched and tensed slightly as the Ball opened and released its contents in a beam of bright pink light, congregating and solidifying and revealing itself to be an impressively colored Ponyta. Guy had heard several stories of the fire-type horse Pokemon, but he himself had never seen one in the flesh. Although it was smaller than he had originally imagined, it was impressive nevertheless.
"All right, get ready, Anon," he shouted to the little Ghost Pokemon. Anonymes took a deep breath, exhaled, and narrowed his golden eyes in concentration. His tiny hand balled up into equally tiny fists, and he had a very grave expression on his face. A battle... How enticing it sounded! Would he do well? Would he win? Anon hoped so. Master was here with him, so of course he would do his best. He would always do his very best for his master. Always. That's right; he had to be just like Master! He would fight! He would make Master proud of him!
Guy took a fighting stance, placing his feet shoulder-width apart with one foot slightly behind the other. He placed a hand on his sword hilt, and his blue eyes were filled with quiet determination. He had never had a real battle before, not like this... This was his first Pokemon battle; truly a milestone. No matter how much he respected miss Rosie, he would not hold back. "Right! Anonymes, use Confuse Ray!"
The little Litwick heard and obeyed, moving his tiny hands and sending a beam of bright, confusing light from the flame on his head towards the Ponyta. Thus, the battle had commenced!

The Ponyta lifted a front hoof off the ground, lifting his head high as he blinked at what the litwik was doing. Pastin was hit with the full force of the Confuse Ray, and with a nay of bewilderment staggered through the grass on his hooves, shaking his head.
"Oh dear." Rosie said, watching her dizzies Pokemon. "Its okay Pastin!" She called to him "Just keep calm and try and focus!" She couldn't have him stop now though, and she knew there was still a chance he could pull through. "Lets try a Flame Charge!"
Pastin heard what Rosie said, and attempted to stop staggering around, still shaky on his hooves as hi head lowered to the ground to try and shake his sense back. At her call for him to use an attack, the Ponyta forced his head back up, blue eyes finding the Litwik... or where he thought the ghost was.
Charging forward, the flames around his main and tail burst into a deep red colors, and coiled around the Ponyta's body. He did pretty well... up to the part he suddenly list his footing and tumbled head over hoof into the ground.
"Ohhh" Rosie said, lifting a hand up to her face. "Are you okay Pastin?"
The Ponyta gave a dizzy whinny from the ground.

Anonymes hovered in mid-air for a moment, mouth agape. His eyes then lit up in excitement. He had actually done something! He had successfully confused an opponent! He honestly did not expect it to work at all, but he knew better than that now. Master ordered him to use a Confuse Ray, Anon used Confuse Ray, and it actually worked! Yes, Master knew what to do! All Anon had to do was trust in Master's judgement, and that would lead them to victory! They were a team! This gave the Litwick a new burst of determination, and he readied for his master's next command.
Guy smiled proudly as the attack landed without a hitch, and miss Rosie's Ponyta looked down for the count for the time-being. "Way to go, Anonymes! That was perfect! Now, um..." Guy stopped, thinking on what he should have his Pokemon do next. Pastin seemed pretty much incapacitated right now, but who knew how long that would last? He should attack now to try to keep the upper hand. He shouldn't use any Fire-type attacks, though. That wouldn't do them any good. So, by process of elimination...
"Okay! Use Hex now!"
Anonymes nodded to signify that he heard and understood the command, and he lifted his tiny hands as high as he could reach, small particles of darkness gathering around him. The particles gathered into a cloud above Anonymes, and once it was sufficient in size and strength, the little Ghost Pokemon unleashed it onto Pastin.

The attack would have hit the Ponyta hard enough, though, when attack didn't have much of a visible substance. but as Anon used the attack, Pastin was jerked up and knocked back by something that caused him to whinny in surprise and pain. Rosie's eyes widened, but she didn't look away from Paston as she scrambled back to his feet, shakily. "Good job! Hang in there Pastin, and lets try a Double Team."
Pastin didn't look as if he would be able to pull the move off at first, weaving steps that implied that me might fall over again. He paused for a moment, as if he regain footing, and suddenly flashed away, creating a whole line of specked Ponyta in the field.

As the Ponyta disappeared and several different images of it spread far and wide across the field, Anonymes's eyes widened with surprise and fright. Wh-what was happening? What was the Ponyta doing? Where did all of these new Pokemon come from? What was going on? The little Litwick started to tremble from shock and confusion, and he looked positively terrified.
A short ways away, Guy blinked in surprise at Miss Rosie's Ponyta became several copies of itself. Probably some sort of move meant to confuse the opponent... The only problem was where the actual Pokemon itself was. Guy could tell that Anon was starting to lose his nerve, so he called out to the scared little Ghost.
"Don't worry, Anonymes, it's all right. Just... try an Astonish!"
Anonymes, his eyes still clouded with worry, nodded to signify his compliance and took a massively deep breath. Shutting his eyes tightly, he rushed towards one of the Ponyta with his tiny fists raised, yelling out a gigantic cry that was completely out-of-character for the timid Ghost. In fact, it was such a frightening shout that the Ghost himself got scared, and he fell flat on his face a few yards away from his target. Quickly, Anon rushed back to Guy, grabbing hold of the orange vest and burying his face into Guy's chest.
Guy raised an eyebrow and raised a hand to awkwardly pat the distressed the Litwick's head. "Uh... It's okay, Anon. You just scared yourself. Calm down..." What an odd Pokemon he had. Guy glanced up to Miss Rosie with an apologetic look.
"Sorry. I, uh... I don't know if Anon wants to fight anymore. He just got frightened."

Anon was heading in for a good attack, Rosie waited to see if the one that it was aimed at was the real Pastin. But as the small ghost yelled out, what she was looking at was no longer what affect the attack had on her ponyta... it seemed that Anon had reacted to the attack as well, and was suddenly fleeing back to Guy, seemingly frightened.
Large blue eyes blinked in surprise from the other side of the battle aria that Guy was on, Watching the knight try and comfort his pokemon, rather awkwardly, before looking to her and calling off the battle.
The row of gray Ponyta let out a whinny, tilting their head to the side before they all turned to look at Rosie. "Its okay Pastin, I think we're done for now." The trainer said, causing all, but one of the Ponyta to fade out of existence. The remaining fire horse let out a whinny, and turned to trot back over to Where Rosie was.
"Is Anon's okay? maybe that was a bit much for his first battle..." Rosie said, concerned as she started over toward Guy with Pastin.
