I've just found out from users here on Gaia that the end of the world will contain zombies. eek I couldn't even get past the first episode of Walking Dead. I couldn't survive a zombie apocalypse. gonk
To those who really do believe the end is tomorrow, please forgive me if you feel I am insulting your beliefs. I am not trying to. I just wanted to share my fear of zombies because so many people are mentioning it now.

My personal opinion:
The worlds not going to end. It'll be another y2k like scare and severe disappointment afterward when everything is still spinning.
Like I said, no offense to others, just my opinion.
Btw, I'm not much for Zombies. But my hubby thinks it would be cool.

My husband and I have several plans ready to be implemented at a moments notice if zombies to break out. My husband takes it a little bit more seriously than me but because of him I believe in it more and more each day, what with all the human experimentation going and what not, it's bound to happen. As for the world ending tomorrow, didn't they change the date recently to sometime in September?

Actually, I think there are already real zombies in Africa. I read an online article about it somewhere. Forget the exact details but it had something to do with giving something to someone that makes them seem dead and they are buried but re-dug up to be used as slaves and they are in zombie like states.
The end of the world date is always changing. o.o

Last I checked the 'end of the world' was supposed to be Dec 21st, 2012. (which is my mother in laws b-day. We joked with her and said she's getting a 'great' b-day gift in 2012) xD
The end of the world bs is just a way to cause panic in those who are gullible enough to believe the world with suddenly go BOOM! If it's gonna end, it'll be a slow decline. That's what I believe.
Zombies...well, at least you could take your anger out without getting charged with murder. Just wish your enemies to be Zombies and go on a rampage. smile

I actually have a "zombie kit" >.> or actually, a friend and I put it together, I was never one to think that one day zombies would come at me trying to eat my brain or whatever, but she was a real nut about it, one day talking her..."paranoia" got to me, and we but it together. It's in the top shelf of my garage xD

My sister (lepordstar) and I are currently having an argument. You see I'm going to feed her to the zombies as a distraction while I get to my shelter. ^^ Zombies will happen, it's just a matter of time. It doesn't matter the cause, whether it's government experiments gone wrong, some brilliant yet sick person's creation, a combination of drugs that are out in the world or a disease. They will come, and unless people are paranoid (Hi!) the world won't survive. O.O

I can't say I wouldn't do the same thing if I were in your shoes Kitty. My child would come first.
Though, here's a heated debate question between my group of friends. If your significant other or you child got bit, could you shoot them?

If my sister got bit, I wouldn't shoot her. I would share her same fate because I just couldn't do it. I'd rather be a zombie too than hurt her. Then again, she already went through a lot of pain to become one.... maybe putting her out of her misery would be the best thing but as a zombie, maybe she doesn't even feel any pain. I don't know. All I know is it would hurt me a lot to see her like that. She was already a zombie several times in her life, anyway. Not the kind of zombie-like state you see in horror movies. More of a catatonic state. Well, it would be a tough call, is all I know, if it involved my sister.

Yup. I'm prepared. and if anyone I knew got turned into a zombie, I'd shoot them on the spot, not because I'm a killer waiting for my chance to do such a thing without consequences, no, but out of mercy and compassion, I know my sister (Lunchbox Material) would want me to kill her if she turned into a zombie =)

If your significant other or you child got bit, could you shoot them? If it were my husband, yes, in a heartbeat. I love him to death and I'd die doing it but yes. Even though if he were able he'd do it himself. We already agreed if we were to get bit, we'd kiss each other and all of our kids that we may have at that time, then go out like a fighter and take down as many as we could before we got done in. If it were my little angel though, even if she were a zombie I don't think I could do it but we'd never let that happen to her. We're over protective as it is and if a zombie-pocalypse were to happen that child would never see danger. I'd die before I let that happen to her and we have people lined up to take care of her should we get infected.
