The one to actually open the door was a maid, her curious gaze falling on the couple at the door. "Hello? Can I help you?" By the look of them they weren't here to tell the family of the house to repent for their sins and burn in hell. At least she didn't think so.

The maid wasn't given much of an opportunity to get an answer, though, because from inside the house came the loud cry of a little girl. "Who is it?! Who is it?!"

Claire, as excited as always, came skidding around a corner to see who their guests might be. They didn't get visitors to the house very often so the girl was always on high alert when someone was at the door. And oh what a surprise it was! Her little lavender eyes lite up like it was Christmas day.

"Kitty!" Claire practically squealed with delight having not seen Riyo in so long. The maid had tried to get the little girl to stay back but Claire maneuvered around her so that she could hug Riyo around her legs. "You came to visit! I was afraid you wouldn't come back." Klyde had told her their father had been rather mean to Riyo and not to be surprised if she didn't come to visit at the house anymore.

If it was possible, Claire looked even more excited. "You're here to stay!?" Unicorns could have come bursting out of the ceiling pooping presents and it wouldn't make her more excited than she was right now.

"Claire?" This time it was a familiar voice, it was Klyde. "Who's at the-" He had paused for a moment seeing Riyo...and with her father. Well, he supposed a surprise visit was a surprise indeed. Was this what she had meant for the weekend.

"R-Riyo." A smile still crossed his face. He was glad to see her. "What brings you here?"

"Kitty is here to stay!" Claire chimed before she turned to the male feline. "It's another kitty....are you Papa Kitty?" The little girl asked looking up at Jess with those bright lavender eyes. She looked an awful lot like Klyde and with him near it was even easier to see.

Claire smiled up at Jess when he confirmed who he was. "I'm Claire! I'm glad to meet Kitty's Papa. Do you want to come play games with me?" The prospect that she would have someone to play with just made her day. Sure Klyde was entertaining to have around but this was a whole bunch of people!

Without much thought to the matter Claire's small hand reached up to take hold of Jess' to lead him inside the house. Her grasp was still so small, she only managed to take hold of a couple of fingers but her grip was firm as he tugged him lightly toward the door. "Come in, come in!" That was Claire's way of welcoming their guests into the house.

"Y...young Miss....I don't know..." The maid had a bad feeling about this. If this girl at the door was the one she thought she was...the Master of the house would not be pleased.

"It's okay Bella," Klyde finally cut in after Riyo mentioned taking her dad to see his. "I got the door you never saw who was here." He shooed her off before looking back to Riyo and that devious smirk she had on her face. It was hard to hide it, but Klyde was a little apprehensive...his father wasn't the most pleasant person to deal with...especially when everyone left and it was only him.

"Dad's up in his study...he's working on a case." Which usually meant the elder vampire was focused and didn't wished to be bothered. This would turn out delightfully.

"So you moved in next door," Klyde said finally piecing together the puzzle. Oh his dad was going to love this. He had to wonder what the old man would do when push came to shove.

Smiling Klyde brought up a hand to the back of Riyo's head to pull her closer for a kiss. "I'm glad you'll be near." It would make the summer much more tolerable though he was certain his father would 'forbid' him from going to Riyo's house. Not that he would listen.

"It will be fun!" Claire tried to reassure as she lead Jess down toward the game room. "We can play tea party, or house, or pac man.." Claire seemed to be going through a list of things to do now that she had someone else to play with. Klyde got tired of playing certain games with her so this would be her chance to play them again.

"That's okay, Rosco and I can show you how. He's a wizard after all." Claire said in a matter of fact way as she finally made it to the game room and opened it up. Just as before it was like a kid's paradise, every sort of game imaginable scattered throughout the room.

Claire immediately made a beeline for the small table in the corner with equally tiny chairs. Some already had a number of stuff animals occupying them but she made her way to one that wasn't and pulled it out. "You can sit here next to Rosco." Which was apparently the stuffed raccoon in the chair near by. "You have to watch him though, he likes to steal cookies." She explained. Which at least there were real cookies on the table. Probably due to Klyde having a sweet tooth and not wanting to suffer this activity without some sort of incentive.

Klyde was rather amused to see Claire taking to Jess so well...and the fact that the man couldn't tell her no. How could anyone though? Klyde was twisted so tightly around her little finger it was unimaginable.

"W.what?" Klyde took a moment to process what Riyo had just asked of him. "Oh, no. No they are both supposed to be at a concert for the weekend." Klyde explained as she followed Claire and Riyo's father toward the game room. He wasn't about to save Jess from game time, it would give Klyde a little break. "So you really moved in next door?"

Claire's eyes lit up all the more before she turned to the raccoon plush in question. "Rosco, I didn't know you could make cookies!" She exclaimed. "All this time you've been stealing them and you could have been making them." She nearly huffed now submerged into her little role play game.

Walking over to the toy box in the room, Claire seemed to be digging around for something for a moment before re-emerging with a hat in hand. It was frilly, it was pink, it had ribbon, and it was meant for Jess. Walking back over to the feline Claire held the hat out to him with a smile. "Papa Kitty needs a hat for the tea party."

Klyde chuckled a little when Riyo let her relief be known verbally. "It does make coming home a little easier." The vampire smiled all the more when Riyo nudged him, glad to hear she would be so close during the summer months. He was worried he'd have a hard time getting to see her.

Looking over toward Jess, Klyde had to keep from laughing at the scene before him. While he was sure he looked ridiculous sitting at that tiny table, Jess just looked completely out of place. And better yet, Claire had brought out the hat. It was the hat even Klyde refused to wear. "If your Dad puts that on I may have to leave or risk pissing myself."

Klyde tried to choke it back at first, the laughter bubbling up into his throat. It was actually making his eyes water a little he wanted to laugh so hard, but he couldn't seem to contain himself when Riyo started laughing. "Manly hat?" The rubbish that Jess was spewing just made Klyde laugh all the more.

"Yeah, old man, you're the manliest of the manly at the moment." Klyde finally said when his laughter had subsided.

Claire looked upset, Klyde was making fun of her guest. "Klyde..." She whined. "Stop being a meanie face." But Jess' request caught the little girl off guard. She had fallen out of her role play or she would have faked giving him pretend milk in a cup. "W..we don't have milk." She said sheepishly. "I'm sorry."

"I didn't realize we had guests." The smooth voice of a woman had come out of no where making even Klyde jump a little. Turning back he saw that it was his mother....oh....joy.

"H..hey mom."

Klyde's mother was a striking woman, though few of her features had been passed onto Klyde. The only thing he had obviously received was the curly hair, she had a head full of bright red curls that cascaded down her back. Intense green eyes looked from Riyo to the man in the room playing with his daughter, her facial features thoughtful and curious. "Are you going to introduce me?" She asked when Klyde hadn't said anything further.

"Oh....this is Riyo," Klyde gestured to Riyo. "My girlfriend," He added encase his mother had forgotten. She was away from the house most of the time. "And that's her father, Jesse." Klyde gestured to the back of the room. It was hard to say how Klyde felt around his mom though he didn't look as stressed for her to be there as he had been with his father.
