Ever since I got Windows 7 Ultamate plus the new laptop, just about every touhou game I own now works 96% with no further flaws. But there are still some issues left for some fan made games I have, especally touhouvenia (not the new demo). When I had my XP laptop, I was told that I need to go to the control panel and in the Regional and Language Options, you need to click the advanced tab and under the drop down box for non-unicode programs, you need to switch your system to Japanese.
Im sure Windows 7 can do that automaticly, but I wonder if there's anytheing else I missed? Although im still new to Windows 7. (I also dont go online with it as much)

I use AppLocale for that, or if it's being REALLY bothersome I'll switch my locale to Japanese for a bit. Just Google AppLocale and it should be near the top (make sure the download comes from Microsoft and not someone else)

This program should work automaticly when I try to opperate Touhouvenia? BTW, which vers. of AppLocale do you recomend?

AppLocale will have you choose which executable to load and then which language you want to run it in. You'll want to use Japanese, which will show up as "日本語" in the drop-down menu (should be the very last option) for most any Touhou game that isn't English patched (or if you're running the original Japanese executable)

I get a bit confused although im still not used to W7 yet. Thanks for the help again. wink
