AMITYVILLE ACADEMY ENROLLMENT FORM Name: Artemis Montgomery Flinch Nicknames: Art Gender: Male Age: 16
Faction/Race Demon - Tattoo Demon Natural Ability: Tattoo Possession xxxx Tattoo Demons can enter and manipulate the tattoos of other living beings. This has various purposes in the human world, the main one being stalking their prey.
Right now, all Artemis can do is enter a tattoo. He can't do anything to or with it, and has trouble staying in someone's tattoo for more than five minutes.
Personality: Theme Song! - Little Lion Man by Mumford & Sons
[+] – The Leader
Artemis has a natural magnetism (non-magical) that draws others to him. He’s always been the team captain, the lead role in a play, the prank maker, etc. He leads by example and by words – showing his group how to scare and instructing them on the proper way to do it. He’s very loyal and appreciative of his followers, and defends them when another student is messing with them. He settles conflicts in his group with words mostly, but if someone needs restraint, he’s more than happy to provide it. He attaches himself to his group, and takes it personally when someone leaves for another group of friends.
[+] – High Morale
Artemis is one of those people that can pep most people up for anything. Heck, he could probably make you excited about watching the paint dry, or hear a banshee concert. He’s always smiling, always encouraging, always laughing. He seems to have an endless batch of energy brewing inside him at all times. This energy stems into battle, where he somehow constantly keeps a smile on his face, even while taking a pile drive to the gut. It’s kind of creepy sometimes…
[+] – Drive
Artemis WILL win, though not at any cost. He refuses to get his friends too hurt in the process. But, he will do anything and everything he can to win. Yes, he will trip you in a Sock-her game, or dramatically act like he’s been fouled in a Batsketball game. He never gives up though, not until it’s over. This applies to his school ethic too, he will study his hardest, give his best homework, and make his nose the brownest to teachers. He WILL win.
[=] – Blunt
If Artemis thinks you’re being dumb, he’ll tell you – probably with a smile on his face. He doesn’t do it to be mean, but so you can be the best ghoul or boil that you can be. He does lack tact though, and some things he says are just plain insulting. He doesn’t mean it though, promise!
[=] – Quick-Witted
Do you need some ice for that burn? Getting into a vocal duel with Art is a bad idea for the most part, unless you’ve got a tongue that’s quicker than his. Quick to retaliate, and usually pretty funny too, Artemis comes back with full force, sarcasm fully loaded.
[-] – Arrogant
If you disagree with Artemis, you’re wrong. Actually, you’re stupid. He’s right, and always will be. Artemis can do no wrong, and never says anything that could possibly offend someone. He doesn’t like being confronted, and shuts out anyone who tries to criticize him. It takes a lot of persuasion and evidence to actually show Artemis that he’s wrong, and when he is proven wrong, he shuts down for a while, reflecting on what he’s done. It takes a while, but he will eventually correct the mistake he’s made, and try to readjust that part of him that hurt another.
[-] – Attention Hog
If Artemis sees an opportunity to garner attention, he takes it without batting an eyelash. Is that a guitar that no one’s playing and a group of girls? Done. A Batsketball just waiting to be dunked in front of a crowd? You got it. An elderly woman who needs help across the street, in front of hundreds of cars? Artemis will gladly do it. Many take this as “talent” or “kindness.” If no one was watching, Art wouldn’t give any of those things a second glance. He needs a crowd to perform at his peak, or he’ll quickly lose interest. When upstaged, he reacts in one of two ways. 1) If he can do something even better than what just upstaged him, he’ll do it, with some added banter to make the offender look like an idiot. 2) Get sullen and sulky, storm off, and then hit something to make a big noise. Hey, he still gets attention, right?
[-] – Train Wreck
In the case that Artemis fails, loses his drive, or is successfully upstaged, he becomes the king of apathy. That homework assignment that’s due the next morning? Forget about it. Feeding the Minis? Nope. Shower? He’ll take one tomorrow. The only way to shake him out of his “woe is me” state is to force him to a gym (he won’t go on his own), put him in front of a punching bag, and let him go at it. He’s a very physical person, and his aggression needs to be taken out as such. After it’s all out of his system, Art will act like it never happened, and probably won't talk about it when pressed. He also starts showering again, thank Jack.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? A huge crowd of people to show off to? Heck yes! Artemis was waaay ahead of his parents, he actually signed up before they signed him up! He also wants do away with all the negative stigma associated with Tattoo Demons, though he dreams of owning a Tattoo studio one day.
FEAR: Tattoos' Uprising xxx A prankster attack; Artemis chants a quick spell, the tattoos spring off his body, and bull-rush his opponent, exploding and splattering them with ink, then reappear in their original places. Depending, this could do as little as annoy the opponent, or do as much as blind the victim temporarily. The ink tattoos are very fragile, and simply shoving them to the side can render them useless.
Year 2 - The tattoos become more stable, able to withstand up to two hits. They can be used to attack or defend now, and still explode into ink when they are used up.
Year 3 - Tattoos can now have different elements, depending on a dice roll. If hit with an opposite element, the tattoo is immediately destroyed. If not attacked with the opposite element, the tattoos last for three hits.
How is this scary? >>>> Drip. Drip. Drip. Something wet and sticky continually hits your face, agitating your slumber, causing you to grumpily wake up. What the hell man? Fluffy shouldn't be in the room...
Wait, when did Fluffy get so big? And how was she hovering over you like that? And... sniff sniff, is that the smell of ink? Wait, Fluffy wasn't shaped like a massive pumpkin with tendrils slowly trying to curl over your throat.
Oh s**t.
Flailing in fear, a clumsy fist collides with whatever the hell is looming over you. You hear a SQUELCH, then a BOOM.
Then everything goes black, and you hear a wicked, demonic cackle.
You wake up the next morning, finding your room the same as it was last night, Fluffy at the heel of the bed.
What on earth...
Physical Description: Eye Colour: Chocolate Brown Hair Colour/Style: Brownish-blonde, medium length, slightly "emo" style. Skin Colour: Tanned white boy Clothing Style/Colours: He likes his shorts baggy and puffy, his shirts tight, and his head covered. Piercings and accessories are a MUST, and shoes are for the weak.
Punk meets Fantasy, with a bit of Cirque de Soliel.
See Refs.
Extra: As of now, he only has one sleeve tattoo on his right arm. It's a scene of a group of skeletal koi ascending a toxic looking waterfall. He has two stars tattooed on his neck, and a deranged pumpkin on his calf.
As for demon parts, he's got a medium sized, black kirin-like horn in the middle of his forehead that he hangs charms on. Wings look like tribal tattoos, as does his tail.

Tattoo Demons
Tattoo Demons came to be as a result of many a holy roller dubbing tattoos "sinful", which caused many faithful people to start fearing those with tattoos. And so, due to misplaced paranoia and overall intolerance, the first Tattoo Demon was born.
Due to their origins, Tattoo Demons prefer the "edgy" or "dodgy" jobs of Halloween. Most tattoo artists are Tattoo Demons, as well as your piercers, pro skaters, and sometimes even your plastic surgeons. Tattoo Demon children have a reputation of being punks, hooligans, and ne'er-do-wells, even by Halloween standards. This, however, is based on a small portion of the population, like most stereotypes.
No Tattoo Demon has the same pair of wings, or the same tail. While similarities happen within the various families, there will always be subtle differences. Different families have different horn types, but no family has an even amount of horns. The less horns a family has, the are held in higher regard throughout the Tattoo Demon community.
One unique feature of the Tattoo Demon is their skin: when a member of the species receives a tattoo, a Fear reaction in the genetic make up causes the tattoo to achieve a stat of semi-coherence, that enables them to respond to the wearer's changes in heartbeat, body temperature, and nerve responses. (In other words, their tattoos react to how the demon is feeling)
Each Tattoo Demon child is born with their family's tattoo on their neck, and it can never be removed, replaced, or covered up with a different tattoo. It can become part of a larger piece though. It is required by tradition that as a Tattoo Demon grows, they get more and more tattoos. The first is usually received upon their 13th birthday, while the second is received upon applying to school. After that, its up to the Demon when they get tattoos.

MiscellaneousClasses Human History 101 - To scare the target, you must know the target. Knowledge is power, and bragging material! Introductory Music - To increase his talent, so he could show off a bit more. Gym - He likes being active, plus there's all those ghouls to show off to... Curses, Hexes, and Spells - This and Human History are probably the only ones he'll take seriously. You never know when you'll need a quick hex to fend off your opponent.
Clubs Fitness Club - Gotta work on those PECS! Plus, who doesn't want to stay in shape? Fright Music Club - Can you say "groupies"? Frighteningly Fashionable Freaks - Resident pierce master/ temporary tattoo artist? Or, if anything, finding out the clothes that will garner the most attention.
Fun Facts: . He actually hates the tattoos he has right now (save for his family tattoo), and plans on changing them as soon as he can. His parents were the ones who picked them out, and he feels they're very cliche. But, his pride as a Tattoo Demon demands he show them off to the world.
. Artemis can't cook for the life of him, and has always relied on a ghoulfriend to cook for him.
. He is constantly working on new tattoo ideas, to replace the ones he has now. If he's not taking notes or showing himself off, he'll be working on his latest tattoo ideas.
. Artemis is willing to do tattoos and piercings for free, though tips are appreciated. He also gives away tattoo erasing cream if you have a tattoo you really want to get rid of.
. He's got a pretty hardcore attraction to Ghost and Demon ghouls.MinipetsTo be found/given IClyRoom Located on the top floor of the Demon dorms, Artemis's room is pretty simple, and he likes to keep it clean. Posters from his favorite music groups are on the wall behind his bed and couch (which he often alternates between sleeping on), while two shelves of comic books hang on the wall that houses the only windows in the room. The windows themselves are long and thing, arranged In a horizontal line with the middle one slightly lower, for the sake of being abstract. Above the middle window is a square, black clock (smaller than the one in the picture) that is set five minutes ahead, so Artemis is never late. As for other furnishings, Artemis has a small dresser in the corner of his room that holds his clothes, and on top of it sits his journal. Underneath his comic books is his favorite piece of furniture - his hand chair. Plush, made of white leather, and with a hidden cupholder in the "thumb", this is where Art prefers to read, enjoy a cup of coffee, or crash for a quick nap. Below the windows is an antique oak desk, accompanied by a classroom-type chair made of pine and steel. The bathroom is a simple affair of a toilet, sink, and shower, with a few candles for decoration and smell purposes. Art opted out of a kitchenette.

Hm.
My first thought was something like Intimidation. His Fear could naturally enhance his physical prowess to the point where it has an intimidation factor on the opponent. Kind of like Pokemon. It doesn't always work in that it can miss occasionally or on some types, it isn't affective. You might want to chat with someone who knows a bit more about the battle system than I do to see how that could officially work. I am not the best with coming up with Fear, but hopefully this might help a little?

i love his personality <3
the only crit i would have is that i dont know if the whole ranger thing is too close to a cosplay or not ? to me its a bit too close, but im not a GM of course o 3o
personally i dont know if you should include the intimidation bit. different characters will react to his fear in different ways. to claim they're intimidated is a bit ... much?
thats about all i have to say xD

Thanks for the crit! You're right about the intimidation, so I took it out. I'll ask one of the GM's about him being too close to a cosplay. ^^

just a quick ... i dunno clarification?
it seems like your demon is more based on the ideas of tattoos than "ink" itself. ink can be used in a lot of different ways, so i dont know if narrowing all of the ink demon's options down to tattoos is the best way to go i dont mean for your character- i think your character is awesome i mean for all the "ink demon society" info you add
for example; "(This is useful in the race's preferred job as tattoo artists.)"
i wouldnt go into too much detail about actual society because you never know if someone will want to quest for an ink demon and have different ideas ?
you dont necessarily need to change it- i mean merope (maru's character) has tons of info about undead leviathin life, but it's just a suggestion o Ao;
tldr; perhaps make him more "ink" based than tattoo based, or change him into a tattoo demon (which i think would be awesome)
-crawls back into the corner-
