-It had been a few days since the event that had ended with Super Sailor Polaris becoming the 'new and improved' Eternal Sailor Polaris. A tiring and overwhelming battle. A couple days of healing and rest. A conversation with an old teamate... Life was spinning, but in the end there was one small thorn that pricked in her mind. One thing that kept coming up.
The senshi of magnetism was hovering outside a familar window, staring expectantly up in hopes that a face would appear from above. As a newly stronger warrior she should be out fighting.. or rallying others. But all she wanted to do was see Azzo. To show him what had happened and... and she wasn't sure what else. But she couldn't shake the feeling, and so she stood, her ivory hands resting softly against the trunk of a tree, her newly loose and wild hair swaying gently on her back in the light evening breeze. She shouldn't be here.. but she just couldn't seem to leave.-

Lucky for Polaris, Azzo was busy in his room. He was drawing, or trying to, plans for the recent puppet show. Granted Azzo would always say a five year old could draw better than he could, but the point was Azzo was working on the set layout and how things were going to work. He'd had his cast off for a number of weeks, his arm was still not quite as strong as it use to be, but it was getting better.
He'd stopped to walk around his room, pausing after having seen something at the window. Giving another glance back he lofted a brow and went to open it, honestly he wasn't sure who'd he find but he had a sneaking suspicion, "Couldn't bother to use the doorbell?" His head poked out the window looking at Aurora. He wasn't sure if her outfit had gotten skimpier or fancier. "Looks like you got some new duds." He commented, before backing away from the window to let her in if she wanted.
"And... wings?" He started to wonder why she had wings that low on her back. Glancing up at his angel puppet he'd invested in for Christmas, yes he was already thinking about Christmas.

-When his face appeared in the window, she paused startled, like a deer in headlights as if it weren't what she'd been waiting for. But she was stuck. What was she going to say? Thankfully he spoke first. Though she would have died if she could read his mind on his opinion of her 'new duds'.
She'd never been much a climber but the senshi abilities of added strength and jumping made the task not nearly as impossible as she might have thought it'd be. Nonetheless ending up awkwardly trying to pull herself through the window without falling gracelessly through it.-
"They don't work really.. I'm not certain why we get them" -She said finally once she was standing comfortably inside the window, brushing her multi skirts back into place before her hands went to work push strands of hair back over her shoulders again.
She was silent again for a long and awkward moment before finally she sucked up enough bravery spitting out the words before she had the chance to not say them.- "Do you want to come out with me tonight?"

Azzo chuckled when she came through the window, his head tilted. "Huh, wings that don't work, what a concept." He seemed interested. As she managed her way into the window, straightened her skirt and pushed back her hair. "Though I do think, they add a nice touch."
He stretched, "Maybe to say you're the good guys. I don't think it'd be uncommon, at the very least." Azzo swiveled the chair slightly, humming as he looked back at his sketches, before looking over to her. For a moment or two he was quite looking at her with a brow lofted, "Normally you guys assume I get in the way."
He was curious why the sudden change in opinion of the eternal senshi. He seemed stubborn to give her an answer if he wanted to come or not, "Why the change of mind?" He was twirling a pencil in his hand waiting for her answer.

-She smiled a little at the comment, casting the best glance she could manage to the little wings on her lower back. Proof that they were the good guys... that was a wonderful thought, one that made her chest swell with pride. As she turned back to him and the twirling of his pencil though her chest deflated.
Well... she hadn't expected that.
Polaris faltered with the sudden... wall, an ever so light frown marring her lips as she began to question herself. Had she mentioned it to anyone else they would have told her she was wrong to do it. And deep down she knew she was wrong to do it too.. But Azzo... She'd been so sure that he wanted it too.
Why else was he always there to face the fight with them? Why had he stood up against so many youma? Met and stood beside more senshi then many super senshi ever dreamed of seeing. Unless... unless it was nothing about want. And was just everything about bad luck.
In all the times she'd chided him about the dangers she never imagined that maybe he'd wanted nothing to do with it in the first place. Maybe Azzo really just had really really bad luck and a knack to be in the wrong place all the time.-
"I'm sorry..." -She said finally, quietly, her fingers settling softly on the windowsill. She should probably leave.. she shouldn't have even come.- "I was being so selfish..."
"I can't believe I'd actually get the idea to come here and ask you to put yourself in danger..."

He smiled and nodded watching her ego perhaps go up a notch or two, it was a good thing. Until he ruined it, Azzo sighed, "It's not something to be sorry about. I wanted to know why the change the of mind."
He stretched and grabbed his boots. "Either way I need to go out and grab something sweet anyways." It wasn't like there wasn't sweets in the house, just nothing he wanted. He smiled, "Might do good to get out and away from trying to plan another play without having gotten the first one finished." He sighed.
So many things kept him from completing that play. It was horrible really, perhaps it was cursed like Hamlet. He chuckled at his own thought, "Anyways, you ought to know better, I'm more than happy to fling myself at danger."

"Stop it Azzo" -For once she was able to see past his soothing and accomodating. She'd always known of course, but in the past she was more than happy to let him give her all the power. To always be making sure she felt better despite perhaps what he was feeling underneath. To always give her what she wanted and relent to her words. But the words were out in the open now, worn like a badge across her chest, selfish. And it was about time he said what he wanted.
Her hand grabbed his as he reached to put on his boots, staring past his colorful words. Past the comforts and distractions of foods, right into the contridicting and battling smiles and sighs that kept touching his face.- "Please stop..."
"Please just be...." -Her lips couldn't form the word 'quiet', instead her free hand lifted placing two ivory gloved fingers gently on his lips. He'd asked why.. and he was going to get it. But it wasn't a thing that she could say if he was going to try to stop her.-
"You have to know that I never wanted you to get hurt. You're my friend.. really my best friend. So that's why I was always worried.. why I always gave you a hard time about things."
"But the truth is.." -She paused, uncertain, the helplessness of her face making her appear more like the schoolgirl underneath then the warrior she was playing dress up as.- "I want you with me. Even though I know it's wrong. Even though I know it's terribly selfish and you could get..." -Hurt..? Killed? It was that thought that dropped her eyes in shame. How could she ever be asking him?
The fingers on his lips dropped away as her eyes dropped from his face, her voice falling to a soft hush.- "When you are around I feel safer. Braver. Stronger... I just feel... happier when you're with me."
"But it can't just be about me..." -She was finally able to draw her eyes back up to him, swallowing all the fear that quivered in her stomach as she searched for an answer that she was almost afraid to receive.- "I need you to not just tell me what I want to hear Azzo. I need you to tell me what it is you want. With complete disregard to my feelings."
-Really she wasn't sure she was ready for the aftermath.. for all that could go wrong with dropping the bomb she had on the unsuspecting young man. Perhaps that's what added one last hushed whisper.- "If you tell me no tonight, Aurora will still be there for you in the morning."

Azzo watched her when she stopped him from getting his boots, a bit startled when she put her fingers to his lips to stop him from talking. He settled there leaning back in his chair listening to her, brow lofted and didn't speak until she'd talked herself out.
He brought his hands together tapping his fingers, it seemed he was in thought. Something his grandfather had done many times before him, it was odd, Azzo had been thinking things over to start with. Why was he in Destiny, why wouldn't he leave when it meant his grandmother would be safer if he took her with him. Was it just because he didn't want to face his father?
The young man sighed. "I've been hurt before you." He started, softly. "I was in Barren Pines, that organ trafficking ring?" He questioned to see if she remembered that.
"I lost at least a year of my life, my friends from my past, even my parents thought I was dead. I very well could have been if they had me for a year..." He paused softly, "Something happened while I was there, something that caused someone to break my ribs. Weather I was being a dumb a** and fighting then or what happened no one will ever know because it's not coming back to me. I've lost a year of my life and I'll never know what happened in that year."
He paused, softly shaking his head, "I found that I can track youma, as dumb as that sounds. After being rescued from that place, I was in the hospital shortly after I woke up and the day before I left... I felt one coming, the first time I'd ever noticed it."
His brown eyes were serious and watching her, "Most people don't know how hard it is to lose a year of your life and to be dealing with it for a year and half, if not going on two years. Most people also, don't feel youma." There was another break in his words, "Those that I tell think I'm crazy, or have something wrong in my head because of the trauma I went through, no one believed me until I met Ares of the Black Moon Court."
He paused, "I use to go out looking for danger because I wanted Explanations." He shook his head, "I go out now because I either stay too late at Kickboxing practice or I have friends that need me."
He paused, "Even if that means putting myself in danger, plus you're a terrorist right now so there's places I can go you can't." He moved to put on his boots again, lacing them up hoping she wouldn't stop him again.

It wasn't the reaction she was expecting. She hadn't been sure what to expect really. To be slapped or shook in disgust. To be dismissed and told to leave and never come back. Maybe even to be drawn into a passionate kiss as he pronounced his own desires to be near to her. But this was quite different, her heart aching as his story and reasoning unfolded.
She'd heard snippets, made out tiny bits from things Melody and Azzo had said to each other in her presence, small secrets from the past they shared. But having it all spelled out.. all the pain and uncertainty. The helplessness and bad luck. All of his sadness made sense. All of the small things he clung to to try and make life better. Why he was often out and risking his life among them.. it made sense. And it had nothing to do with her.
Somewhere inside there was a slight twinge of dissapointment, but it was one that was buried in relief. It wasn't her fault he was out, not alone atleast.
She didn't try to stop him as he moved this time, frozen in the room with a small look of pity. Nor did she mention her own thoughts of the Blood Moon Court, it was hardly the time or place.
He hadn't come right out and said it.. though the fact that he was getting ready was answer enough. He was coming, but not for her. "You've been through so much... more than most."
"I'll try to help you then"

Azzo hadn't known what became of Ares, Laocoon or Zirconia after their Princess had passed. He knew them when they weren't blood thirsty and his thoughts where they all were on the same side. He began to hum the tune he'd hummed when he was pretty well doped up on pain meds from his arm having been broken.
Something that probably seemed odd considering he'd just spilled out his past and his reasoning. He frowned when she said she'd help him, "I wish it wasn't always about me being the one getting help."
He muttered, not so much in anger than being annoyed. "You gunna sneak back out the window or do I have to tell Grams that a terrorist decided to drag me out of the house for a while and we'll be back later?" He was teasing, something he probably hadn't done since he'd met Aurora. He stretched before getting up, eying her, thinking what sort of spectacle walking around with a Terrorist would make.
He shrugged and in what seemed to be a joking tone, thoughit was hard to tell Azzo added; "If you want to pry more lets talk outside at least. Then you won't have played super woman for nothing tonight." They could continue the conversation outside, as it was there were things that needed to be said between the two and that much was obvious to the boy. Plus he didn't really want to explain to grams why there were voices coming from his room other than his own.

"It isn't always bad to need help or to ask for it... it's what friends do" She offered softly as she waited. After all hadn't she just asked for HIS help? Wasn't that the entire point of her coming here? It seemed too needy to bring that back up however, later on when she had time to think about the evening she'd probably die of embarrasment at the things she'd said. Perhaps it was a blessing he'd shifted the conversation.
The shift in mood was welcome, and she offered him a small smile, making her way back over to the open window. "You sure know how to make a girl feel guilty"
She didn't know whether he was coming behind her, or if he'd sneak back down, but she hardly thought he had any plans on being carried or assisted down. Her legs swung over the edge, bottom sitting on the sill, and then she was gone, landing on the grass below with a soft thud. On the ground she stepped back, watching the window mildly.

The window closed and the light in his room was turned off. Azzo would go out the door like he always did, and not have to sneak out. "I'll be back later Grams." He called as he headed for the door.
Grams watched as Azzo headed towards the door, "I thought I heard voices."
Azzo stopped his eyes closed lucky him his back was turned to her, "Yeah that was the radio." He tried to convince her. "I wanted to hear the weather report before I headed out."
He turned and gave her a smile, "Need anything?"
Grams lofted a brow at him, she didn't seem to believe his story. "Flour and eggs if one of the stores is open when you head back. Be careful, you know there's terrorist out there." She said, not mentioning that she didn't believe him.
"Flour and eggs got it!" He smiled as he headed out the door, "See you tomorrow."
He strolled out after a couple of minutes and smiled at Polaris. "See that's how you normally enter and leave a house." He teased as stretched, "I gotta pick up flour and eggs for Grams if one of the stores is still open when we get done."

The light flipped off and Polaris settled herself up against the tree, half waiting, half trying to use it for cover incase some neighbor might look out and see her just standing there.
When he finally appeared, teasing her at that, her nose wrinkled a little giving him a playful frown. "Right.. because me coming over to see you in the middle of the night is totally normal and lady like right?"
The frown disappeared, replaced by a contented smile as she turned and waited for him to follow or take the lead. He seemed more like he wanted to talk then hunt down bad guys, but she was fine with either. "Got it. We'll try to return you in one piece. With flour and eggs. Minus anything broken if possible."

Azzo chuckled, "It is when you live in this city." he answered, "Grams was watching some lame late night movie while it looked like she was debating on what to cook."
He walked along taking the lead eyes looking around, "Yeah one piece. That'd be nice." He chuckled, "So now then. Where were we?" He was looking curiously at Polaris as they walked wondering what else she wanted to know.

"I guess I'm just a country girl then" She mused softly at the idea. It couldn't be further from the truth. An Academy girl was more appropriate.
Where were they? A dubious question. What else did she want to know? It was the silent question that she read from his face, and for a moment she paused. What was there left to say?
"Do you feel as stuck as I do?"
"Here I am almost out of highschool.. ready to start college.. and it's not graduation or getting a job that I'm worried about. Or what things will be like as an adult. It's all about how I'm going to keep up this whole senshi thing."
"I'll have to get a job eventually if I want to have a home and food. But what kind of job can I really juggle with staying out all night fighting. And everything else.. Men.. families.... All my dreams."
"Stolen and locked in a box of second priority." She didn't look sad about the revelation just.. thoughtful as she turned to him curiously. Was it the same for him? Had the year stolen from him and all the events after it locked him into the same box. Unable to move on with life until.. something happened.
"What do you want to be when you grow up" She mused softly after a long moment.
