History: Having been first caught as a wee little Dratini, he had remained with the same trainer, Ellen, all through his evolutions. She had been an older lady, who had doted on him as if he were her child. His trainer was a lover not a fighter although she had been a Ranger in her prime years; she didn't engage Klaus into many fights. Ellen made sure he knew how to battle; however, so he could defend them if the occasion ever arose. Their time together was wonderful until Klaus noticed his trainer wasn't moving as quick as she used too. The now Dragonite knew his trainer didn't age like he did and Ellen had already been in her later years when she'd caught him. Klaus loved her dearly and she him so her decision to trade him; or really to give him away, had come as a shock. She had gently tried to explain to him that he had out grown her home and he was still very much so in his prime. Her prime had come and passed many years ago and as much as it hurt to give him away she knew he wouldn't survive in the wild. His trainer tried to reassure him that he could still come and see her but her god daughter; whom Klaus had never met, would be better suited for him now. Since she could no longer travel, train or play with him, he was better off with someone else.
As pure as her intent was; Klaus only saw this as abandonment. He didn't care if she couldn't travel or play with him anymore; all he wanted was her. She was his mother and he loved her more then anything in the world. But he couldn't tell her this, he was just a pokemon with no true voice to tell her how he really felt.
So the trade happened against his will and he soon became Milli's pokemon. Now Klaus; as betrayed and hurt as he was, wanted to give this Milli a chance. However he would quickly learn that she was nothing like her god mother. Where Ellen was kind and reassuring, Milli was cruel and demanding. She would force him into harsh battles that he was unused too. She figured just because he was a fully evolved pokemon that he could battle better against foes that were stacked against him. Klaus was miserable and just when he figured things couldn't get any worse; they did.
It was one rather nasty gym battle that had been the last straw. By this point he had long given up trying to get along with the vile girl and chose not to heed her orders. She in turn would only send him out if it was a last resort. Since he was one of her highest leveled pokemon she reluctantly kept him in her team. Now in this battle he chose once again to disobey her and used attacks that he knew weren't of any help, or he'd just lazily dodge attacks. So when it came to a point where he needed a healing potion, he looked to Milli and all she did was smirk at him and shake her head. Normally she'd sigh and give him one, knowing after he reached this point he was bored and ready to get the battle over with. Without the help of the healing potion, the battle only went down hill from there. Klaus was no longer able to dodge and took hit after hit till finally the ending blow was delivered. Unable to dodge the last attack; Stone edge, he took the attack to the face. His pained cry echoed the area as he fell to the ground. Blood poured from his left eye and splattered before him as his vision failed and everything went to black.
The next few parts are still to this day sketchy to him. He remembers Milli not taking him to the pokemon center but releasing him into the wild instead, leaving him there presumably to die. Then next he remembers waking at the panicked screech of a different human and being captured again. After that he woke up in a pokemon center for a moment and foggily noticing he could only see from his right eye. Then next he fell into a deep sleep where Musharna and asked him what he wanted. He told the pink pokemon that he wanted to be able to be on his own, not need a human to tell him what to do or to travel or anything. But most of all, he wanted to go and find Ellen again.
So when he awoke the second time, and got the hell out of dodge!
