Asu's house is the most obnoxiously bright house in the parent housing complex. Really. It's entirely impossible to miss.

--------------------------------

The day had finally come for Asu to officially adopt Silas and Moira into the DeLaplane family. She had somehow acquired news that Des had bought a ring for Sonnet but of course hadn't proposed yet, so she saw fit to invite the Taji family over since they would all inevitably be one huge family anyway. That, and Cedric apparently had a power that could prove to be quite useful for dealing with Silas's unique problem.

While Deskri was out fetching Silas, Asu had Hayden setting up tables for people to sit and eat at, as well as setting those tables. This of course was the last thing the sound Meta wanted to be doing and made it quite known the entire time. Sono wouldn't be arriving until later, so Hayden was stuck doing just about everything by himself until Asu finished cooking.

------------

Deskri stopped in the commons area of the dorm rooms to look up which room Silas was staying in. He'd never really talked to the kid, just a few sentences at the Halloween ball, but he figured he'd do a better job at convincing Silas to come along than Moira would, since Whisper had outright tried to attack her.

He walked down the hallway, passing his old dorm room and then eventually reached the one where Silas was living. He took a deep breath, trying to quell the butterflies in his stomach. Dealing with Bad Things was not something he particularly wanted to do, but just leaving the situation alone wasn't really an option. He knocked on the door and waited for a reply. A few moment later the door opened to reveal a small boy, not even a teenager yet. He looked exhausted, and his eyes were not quite focused.

"Hallo...?" Silas looked Deskri over before it clicked in his mind that he sort of knew the moody looking adult.

"You're Silas, right? I'm Deskri." Deskri held out a hand for Silas to shake. The boy stared at it for awhile before cautiously taking it for a moment. "Rasiel and I were wondering if you wanted to get to know each other better? I mean, we've met all of your siblings before but not really you." Deskri did his best to keep his voice level, and face neutral. Well, the face bit wasn't hard since he'd long since put up an illusion to hide just how sick this was making him feel.

"Oh, unkle wants to meet me finally? Werr is he?" Silas looked around the hallway, but saw no one but Deskri.

"Well, he's making lunch. I can't cook to save my life so he asked me to come get you while he makes us some food." Deskri put up a smile and stepped back a little, hoping it would draw the boy out. "So what do you say? You want to come over?"

"Okey, I guess so. I never met unkle b'fore. I herd that Yoko did, but Yoko gotted everythin' she wanted so I'm not supprised." Silas stepped out of the room and closed the door behind him. He then offered his hand to Deskri. The adult awkwardly took it in his hand and started down the hallway again.

After much walking they finally made it to Asu's house once more. It was going to be a little hard to convince Silas not to just run off once he realized that he'd been lied to, but Deskri was confident that with the amount of adult Metas present they'd be able to keep one kid in place.

"Thassa purdy house, issit yers?" Silas pointed to Asu's house, a large grin on his face. He was fond of all colors, and houses were usually all the same color.

"Well, yeah... it's my mom's, but we live with her right now since y'know... Dr. Broken is gone so we can't live with her, and it takes a long time to get a house of your own you know." Deskri shrugged. He felt Silas's hand tighten on his own and looked down for a second. The boy looked awfully nervous. "C'mon, I'm sure he's done with the food now." Deskri opened the door to the house while making a small motion with his other hand.

He'd discussed it with Asu previously, so no one was surprised when an image of Rasiel popped out of nowhere in the kitchen. "We're here, is the food ready?" Deskri lead Silas into the dining area. The boy looked around, wondering why there were so many plates and why there were other people around.. Deskri hadn't mentioned others.

"Silas, this is my younger brother Hayden... and that's my mom." He nodded from Hayden to Asu. "And you at least know what Raz looks like, right?" He pointed to Rasiel just in case. The fake Rasiel smiled in response and then continued to stir some fake pot on the stove.

"I guess I should've mentioned that some friends of ours are gonna be over too, but y'know what they say, right? The more the merrier?" Deskri put up another smile, but knew that Silas still wasn't really comfortable.

"O-okey... um... d-do I do anythin'?" Silas noted that Asu was helping Rasiel cook, and Hayden was setting up the dining set, so surely he must have to help out, right?

"No, don't worry about that. Do you want to watch some TV while we wait for the others to show up?" Deskri lead him over to the living room and turned the TV on, Asu had already put it on a kid's channel. Silas sat down on the couch and then looked up at Deskri almost expectantly. Deskri hesitated for a moment before sitting down on the couch next to Silas... he just hoped the others would arrive sooner rather than later.

Moira had decided to go over to Asu's house earlier that day to help with the cooking seeing as not only were they going to have to feed her, but a handful of other people. She didn't want one person to do all the cooking, so she woke up early, went to the local grocery store and bought several ingredients before making her way over. After meeting Hayden, and being amused by how loud he was being at his dislike of setting the tables, Moira had taken over the kitchen and was going to keep at her cooking for awhile.

That was until the shadow of her uncle popped up, which was the obvious foreshadowing that Deskri had gotten Silas out of the dorm and all the way over here without a hitch. Not wanting to upset Whisper and screw the entire plan up, the pink haired meta dropped to the floor behind the Island, letting out a quiet sigh of relief at the fact that she hadn't knocked anything over with her wings. When It sounded like Silas had settled on the couch, she started to crawl to the closest wall, wanting to move out of sight just in case he wandered into the kitchen.

If there was one thing Cedric loved, it was being an adult staged meta. His monster form had completely vanished and was replaced with a soul form, and now his reaping powers were finally going to be put to good use.

It was quite amusing to see Deskri's reaction to the answer of the request he had given the fallen without hesitation. Was this going to be painful? Probably, more for himself and the malice than the boy, or so he hoped. This was the first time he'd had the chance to completely remove a soul before. He seemed to be leading the way to Asu's home, energized for once in his life, because for once in his life, he had a purpose, one he intended to pursue as well as he could. He knocked on the brightly colored door and waited for an answer.

Sonnet was next in the Taji horde, carrying a few bags of food. Salad and a few other side dishes, as the ones inside were in charge of the main course and dessert. She was...calm about the situation. She'd be there in case Silas/Whisper tried to make a break for it. She had Deskri's mode of thinking, there were going to be enough adult metas there to handle him, hopefully anyway. She was also wondering just when Deskri was going to admit to him searching around for something for her. She wasn't 100% sure as of WHAT it was, and she had been a good girl and not looked into it any more then what her observations had pointed out to her.

Kyle was...hesitant, which was odd for her. She had never dealt with an actual bad thing before, but she heard horror stories from Sonnet and delt with Monster Ceddie to know it couldn't be good. She clung to her mother, frightened that someone might die today, unknowing just what an arsenal was coming to deal with the situation.

Mizu was last, just as chipper as always. She was more looking forward to chatting with Asu about grandchildren then anything else.

Everyone seemed to look at the door at the same time, except for Silas, who was beyond lost in the show playing out before him. He didn't ever use the TV in the dorm, it was on Gavin's side of the room after all. "Uh, I'll get it." Deskri got up and shuffled to the door. He opened it slowly, just in case it wasn't who they were expecting. Thankfully it was and he moved aside for them to come in. "Remember, Raz isn't real so... don't touch him." He spoke in a quiet voice and then looked back over at Silas, who had managed to pry his eyes away from the TV long enough to look at the new guests.

"Baby doll, we'd best be leaving." Whisper spoke up from her spot on the couch armrest. Something about the fallen boy that was coming in just didn't feel right. "But we just gotted heer..." Silas looked away and mumbled the response, just so no one would see him supposedly talk to himself.

"Silas, uh, this is Cedric, Sonnet, Kyle and Mizu. They're good friends of ours." Deskri walked back over to Silas and pointed to each Meta (and parent) in turn. "You okay? You look a little sick." Deskri squatted down in front of the boy with a somewhat concerned look on his face.

At some point during the arrival period Hayden had put as much distance between himself and Silas. He still remembered the fiasco with Obscurite and Kagyaku at the Sparkling Lake, and didn't exactly want a repeat even if he was a lot older.

Cedric smiled and waved at Silas, looking through Whisper as to not make her freak out. "It's nice to meet you Silas, and...oh!" he looked to the TV and shuffled over to a spare part of the couch and flopped down on it. "I remember this show! I watched it when I was a kid." He then just seemed to stare at the box, as if lost in the nostalgia, thought it was all a ploy. Ger Silas comfortable around him, get the breakables out of the way, and then it would start.

Sonnet rolled her eyes at Cedric, acting as if he was always this scatterbrained. "I swear Cedric, you're more of a child then most kids here," she laughed, and when she recieved a stuck out tongue in responce, she couldn't help but laugh some more.

"Well, it's very nice to meet you Silas," she said before heading off into the kitchen and placing the food she had brought at the places she was directed.

Mizu and Kyle both said hello and were called away by Asu for 'chatter and assistance' aka getting the frik out of ground zero.

Silas made a sort of pathetic attempt at a smile as Cedric plopped down on the couch next to him. "I'm okey Desskri. I dun get to wach teevee so... I never seen it beefor." Silas looked Cedric over, wondering why Whisper didn't seem to like him very much. The Malice had gotten up and walked around to stand directly in front of Cedric as if to test him, she had a feeling there was something special about this Meta. "Baby doll, there's something wrong about this one. We should go back to the dorm. Tell them you have something you need to do for school or something." She looked to Silas expectantly. The boy fidgeted a little, unsure of what to do. Would they buy that excuse?

Well, he had to get going now. Seeing Silas wiggle and fidget at what the woman had said he knew he wasn't going to get another chance at this, so he yawned rather loudly and stretched, which seemed to alert Sonnet into moving back into the living room and towards the front door.

"You know..." he said, the child-like tone of his voice gone as he stood. "It is very impolite to stand in front of the television when people are watching it..." he said, looking right into her eyes, letting her know finally that he could in fact see her. "And really, there's no reason to make Silas leave. He did just get here after all."

Cedric snapped his fingers, and at once a dark poled scythe with a bright silver blade appeared, a teal ball grasped in the bottom half.

"You aren't being a very good house guest ma'am. I do believe it's time I showed you the door."

The instant Cedric began to speak to someone he couldn't see, Deskri let the Rasiel illusion disappear and he himself was soon sucked up by the shadow of the couch. He reappeared a few seconds later in the hallway, though saw fit to turn himself into a shadow on the wall while Cedric did his thing. At least that way he couldn't really be attacked all that well, but he could still see what was going on.

Silas let out a surprised noise as the adult sitting in front of him disappeared into nothing. Though, what surprised him more was that Cedric could see and hear Whisper. He turned his eyes on the adult Meta next to him with a look of wonder, and yet absolute fear. He was sure Whisper was going to be very angry with him about this.

"Oh, so you can see me? I told you there was something wrong with this one, Silas. We're leaving. Get up and start walking." Silas slowly stood himself up, not wanting to make her even more angry. "Okey, we can go now, pleez dun get angry laik that Wisper..." Silas began to edge backwards, toward the door. Hayden had placed himself next to it just in case something like that happened, and readied himself to have to momentarily shock the kid into temporary paralysis. "There's no need to show us to the door, we'll be leaving on our own. You'd do best to stay away from us from now on, boy."

When she had noticed that the shadow illusion of Rasiel had vanished, Moira slowly and quietly made her way back towards the door of the kitchen that looked out into the living room and the start of chaos that was about to unfold. As much as she knew her presence wasn't wanted by Whisper, she wanted to be there for her brother - even if she wasn't in view. The pink haired meta just wanted to be in the general area if she was needed, though she wasn't completely sure how much help she would be in this situation seeing as she wasn't able to do much aside from knock the possessed Silas out last time.

Cedric shook his head. "You do not seem to understand, ma'am," he said flatly as his free hand seemed to touch one of his ears in turn. Earplugs, so he would not be effected by Hayden's abilities if they were used. "I said nothing about Silas leaving. Only you." The hand that was not holding the scythe reached out and gave Whisper a light poke, one she would be able to feel.

"You, ma'am, are a soul," he said as he grasped the scythe with both hands, "and I am your reaper."

Cedric peered at the two nearest the door. The faster they disabled the boy, the easier it would be.

Silas continued to move backwards until Hayden decided he'd gotten too far and let loose a small warning shock. Alarmed, Silas turned around, eyes wide. "Sorry kid, we're going to get rid of her, and you're going to have to stay put." Hayden shrugged, hoping Cedric would be able to get it over with relatively fast.

Whisper looked back at Cedric, and then down at the spot he'd poked. Without a word the visible Whisper was sucked into Silas's body, kicking his soul out into view. Once in control, she turned around, a wide grin on Silas's face.
"What now? If you hurt me you'll kill poor little Silas. The only soul available to you now is his. Are you going to reap him as well?" She let out a laugh and shook her head. The soul version of Silas began to tug at his body, but wasn't able to regain control again. "It's useless Silas, you're not strong enough to keep this body. Let's see if we can convince our captives to let us go." Whisper turned around and pointed her index finger at Hayden, and then a second later released a few paint balls aimed at his face.

Hayden ducked, two of the balls smacked the wall, the third managed to hit the top of his head.
"You asked for this one." Hayden smacked the ground in front of him with his hand and sent out a vibration that shook Whisper to her core, causing her to be momentarily stunned.
PostPosted: Fri May 13, 2011 7:43 pm

Without a moments hesitation, Cedric took his right hand and thrust it at Silas' chest, but as soon as it would have collided, it instead looked like it plunged right into his ribcage.

"Nice try, but I am a professional..." he said as he dug around for a moment in soul territory before yanking it back out with Whisper in tow. He nodded at Silas' own soul as he gripped Whisper tightly.

Where was it? The line that connected her soul to him. After a second of looking he saw it, hidden in Silas' shadow. His scythe gave a sort of 'fwp' sound as he snapped his wrist in a circle, quickly cutting it, his grip on Whisper tightening so she wouldn't escape.

"Now!" he called a bit louder then he should have, but earplugs and such. Sonnet tossed an odd colored mason jar at him, keeping the lid in her hand as she moved over while Cedric proceeded to cram Whisper into the thing, her body getting smaller and smaller until he stopped and Sonnet popped the lid on it.

And now everyone could see her, a tiny Whisper in a jar she should not escape.

As soon as Whisper lost control of the body, it fell to the ground with a thump. Silas's soul was immediately sucked back into it once Whisper was officially cut from him. The boy sat up slowly, rubbing at his head. He hadn't quite grasped what had happened just yet, but he did know that he felt strangely empty, like there was something missing from inside.

Deskri un-stuck himself from the wall once he saw the lid go on the jar. He figured Moira would want to go to Silas first, so instead of going to the boy's aid he moved closer to Cedric and Sonnet to get a better look at the soul that had previously been plaguing Silas. "That was.. a lot easier than I thought it was going to be." He sighed and looked back to Silas.
"Wha' happened...?" Silas looked around the room, confused. He remembered losing control of his body, but not really what happened after that.
PostPosted: Fri May 13, 2011 7:56 pm

The girl watched as Cedric, one of the few other she hadn't gotten the pleasure of talking to yet, did what he seemed to have come here for. Moira couldn't help but watch with wide eyes, her mouth gaping open for about a minute until everyone started to move again. Even though she was one of these interesting beings, she never thought that her powers were helpful.

After a few seconds, she jumped out of her state of awe and ran to her brother, dropping to the floor and pulling the black haired boy into a very clingy hug. "You're free.." she whispered, seeming to choke up a little.

Cedric looked at Whisper and poked at the jar for a moment before handing it to Sonnet. "It's easier when you have someone who can deal with souls," Cedric said as he removed the earplugs and flopped back down on the couch, the scythe vanishing. He seemed drained of energy.

"Now I do believe I am going to pass out for a bit. Wake me when dinner's ready." And with that he closed his eyes and was almost instantly asleep.

Sonnet headed back into the kitchen with the jar to where Asu was. "You said you had a safe place where were this could be kept, right?" she asked the woman.
