 Hiyoko stood by a lake, laying on a large rock by the shoreline. She looked at the stone 3 hearts that were clawed into it each scratched out, one for each time someone she loved, or even remotely cared for turned her away. she looked at her reflection on the water. "Geeze, I look pitiful...." she groaned. not far away, about a half mile off was her home, an old abandoned shrine that she came upon as a kit, where she was raised by a cat."everyones out doing things today.... even the damned Parrot"

 He had met the most darling vixen awhile back, but she had disappeared and he hadn't been able to find her. Sighing heavily, just when he thought that he might have found the one, she up and disappeared on him. it was tragic really. What was a male supposed to do to find the perfect mate? Traveling alone down the road, he discovered that his mind kept returning to the fair maiden that had been so abused by love. She was so fragile, so delicate and yet there was a strength about her that drew Shuuha in. She was a paradox of traits, and so beautiful he wished he was a painter.

Hiyos mind suddenly drift over to the male she had met just days before, she remembered how she ran off. Not wanting to set herself up for more heartbreak."Im a coward.....that girl was right all I do is run away!" she laughed it off however her emotions got the best of her and she stopped."Wonder where Shuu is, probably looking for some one else...ha...must be nice to be so likable!" she sighed, still looking into the water."Maybe I should go look for him...."
she stood up and looked at the forest clearing behind her. she wondered if he had come looking for her.Before walking away from the lake.

Shuuha sighed as he continued his way to the forest. His attempts to locate Hiyo were coming up dry, and he was almost ready to give up. She must have run away for a reason, maybe she wasn't in to him. Maybe he was only fooling himself that such a proud, beautiful and strong female would see anything in him. He was too soft, not much of a warrior. Why would any female want him? Looking down at the ground sadly he continued to walk, not paying attention to where he was walking until he ran smack dab into something solid.

Hiyo heard something coming from her home, she rajn over hoping a daeva wasntg trying to eat Sulpher again. when she arrived she saw a sliver of blue had run into the wall of the old shrine she called home. Thae place was abandoned and run down after something chased humans away from the area.
"Sh-Shuuha... what are you doing all the way out here....?"she asked, worry in her eyes.

He blinked as he looked at the most beautiful female he had ever laid eyes on. "H...Hiyo?" Slowly things in his brain began to click and he tackled her to the ground, something that he usually didn't do because he was so level headed and all. But he was so overcome with happiness to find his beautiful princess again that he could not help himself. "Hiyo..." He nuzzled her neck, "I thought I would never see you again." He closed his eyes and inhaled her unique scent, spicy with a hint of something more delicate, feminine.

Hiyos eyes opened wide when he tackled her to the ground and started Nuzzling her. her face became bright red."sh-shuha...st-stop it, not out in the open like this!" she began squirming and tried to shove him off. after a moment she decided it was no use and gave up, with a sigh.
"what are you doing out here. This is kinda far from where we were before.,and what do you mean you tyhought you would never see me again...?!" Hiyo gave a deep sigh, after questioning him further.

Blushing heavily he removed himself from on top of her and looked away. "I....apologize for such forward behavior. It was ungentlemanly of me." He looked down at the ground ashamed of himself. That was certainly no way to treat a young maiden. "I beg your forgiveness...It shall never happen again Hiyo..." He bowed his head forward slightly. Then he listened to her questions before responding. "I was wandering in the forest looking for food. And what i meant was that when you ran off I was afraid that we would never cross paths again." He looked at her, "Why did you run away?" He looked at her saddened by the thought.
"Did I do something to displease you?" He looked back down at the ground, "I know that my forward behavior is appalling, I honestly have no excuse for it other then...I cannot seem to control myself when I'm around you."

Hiyos laughed at him."dont apologize you just surprised me is all..Im sorry.Im a coward, I started feeling attached and just ran away. That stupid witch was right Im a coward."She sighed.
She looked at shuuha."I usually fall pretty easily, I feel so hopeless now I wasnt always this way, It was just after Gimpi hurt me like he did then Erik dug the knife in deeper, although Looking back it was probably my fault. for hoping that I could find someone who would accept me....you know kinda like you."

Shuuha nodded his head as he looked at her softly, "My poor Hiyo..." He wanted nothing more then to nuzzled against her neck and make all the pain from her heart melt away. But he had pushed her too far too fast before, and this time he was determined not to make her run away again. "I understand.....But I would like nothing more then to just...have a chance....I do not care how long it takes for you to be able to trust me....I am a patient male." He smiled at her.

Hiyoko sighed."well I dont need you to wait, I just...need you to be there."her tail wagged. she rubbed up against him."I just need you to not turn me away. Im already a bit fragile, and I may act like an idiot so forgive me."
She tried to laugh off her actiions knowing she was making a fool of herself. she didnt want to look desperate, she didnt even want to look interested but her mouth moved without her brains permission.

Shuuha smiled at her, "I am here Hiyo....I am not going anyway unless you ask it of me." He leaned in and nuzzled against her neck. "I want to see you happy, any way that I can see it done. "I know you are fragile Hiyo, love.....That is why I wanted to make sure to take things slow....I do not want to scare you away with my affections...But they are not the kind that are going anywhere..." He shook his head. "They are the permanent kind." He smiled.

"who knows if we make it bvefore she goes we may even catch lady sulpher." her smile widened when she brought up the cat she called Mother the cat who took her in.

"This sulpher you are speaking of, she is the one that raised you correct...it would be a great honor to me to met the one that raised such a fine daughter."

Hiyoko grinned and nodded."yeah Sulphers my mother....kinda." Hiyo figured that mother would be a good term for her and sulphers relationship. she cared for her from kithood after all.
"well we have to see if shes even home right now, and if she is is she awake, or asleep...If shes out or asleep I'd rather not pester her, being a cat shes always on her guard, other foxes are always trying to eat her up, especially this one Daeva. Shes lucky I havent had to thrash her yet!" Hiyo groweled playfully with a hint of arrogance.
