 Dhiren shook the little needles from the bush he squeezed past out of his fur. They poked and scratched the skin underneath is soft fur and made for very uncomfortable adornments. He shook out his wings and was amazed to see even more fall from his feathers. Snorting the foal continued onward, now wary of anything with poking needle-leaves. It was nice to have been able to slink away from his family to explore quietly. It was so much different in the woods without giggling sisters bounding around. So much more quiet. It was so much to take in, he stared around at all of the trees, taking in how much bigger they were than him and wondering if one day his wings would become useful for more than landing gracefully when jumping over things he otherwise wouldn't.
Slowly the light purple and blue foal emerged from the forest and appeared in a clearing much similar to the one he and his family stayed in. He wandered around the oddly familiar place, trying to find a difference. Finally he stumbled upon an odd shaped pond that was stream fed with a small trickling vein of a brook. He followed it and realized it went back into the woods. He shifted his wings and slowly stepped back into the forest.

 Lucian was in the forest, wandering around. He knew that Karloff would be worried if he didn't come home soon. Ailbhe was a little more relaxed, but Karloff seemed more wary these days and was not amused with his little wanderings. It's because he doesn't trust you, Than scoffed. He's worried, Lux cooed. Don't listen to her lies. Karloff has never trusted you, never loved you....Don't say such things! Of course Karloff loves you, he's just worried...He'll tell you when it's time.He'll tell you when he abandons you. Who'd want you? The war rocked back and forth in his skull, without any apparent side winning or conceeding to stop. Lifting his head, he though he heard something. Silently, he crept forward to look.

Dhiren heard other noises besides the ones he himself was making now and stood still peering about with wary green eyes. His black and blue ears flickered to catch any sounds he heard, though unfortunately he saw nothing.He snorted at his own wary-ness, figuring it was probably a deer that had spooked him, and in turn he had probably spooked it. Shaking out his coat he continued on, following the trickling stream, trying to find it it went to a larger body of water.

Lucian kept creeping, low like a cat, how Karloff had taught him. Spotting an orange tail, he followed. It was someone his one age. Why were they out here alone?
Nobody would know...
You're good Lucian!
He tried to block the voices as best he could, he was interested in the foal up ahead. What was he doing? Why was he alone?

Dhiren stoped where he was and looked around. He was certain he wasn't alone. He pined his ears back and looked sround him questioningly. "Is any one there?" He stomped a hoof and snorted. "If there is someone here, then show your self!" He continued on when no one appeared but he wasn't convinced. "Well if there is someone here...following someone is creepy." So is talking to someone who isn't there, he thought and shrugged, continuing to follow the stream.

For a moment, Lucian considered speaking. But the voices wouldn't stop.
Don't tell him. Follow him longer.
Maybe he'll be your friend.
Kill him.
No! You're better than that!
No you're not. It's who you are.
Following a little further behind. The foal knew he was there on some primal level, but he had not learned to follow that instinct yet.

Dhiren spun around in frustration. He was sure someone was there, yet perhaps it was his conscience. After all he did wander away from his parents without their permission...And then perhaps he was just being silly. Sighing he rolled his eyes at himself for thinking too much, but then thought he heard rustling. He stopped suddenly and goosebumps shivered across his flesh, but then a squirrel scurried up a tree, which made all suspicions fly away.

Lucian was crouched low to the ground, trying to keep out of sight. Even his voices were being quiet, as if they could hear them. Of course, even he knew they couldn't. Sneaking forward, low to the ground in the cattish way that Karloff had taught him, he tried to get closer.

Dhiren was starting to get very creeped out by this point and was on the brink of deciding it would be best if he were to just go home. Then he wouldn't have this feeling anymore, like something was watching him. Abruptly her turned around and marched in the direction he had come. It was easy to tell where the path was, he had made quite a commotion in the woods in his endeavors to try and see if anyone was following him. It was clear now that no on was following him, but that he just needed to go home because he was feeling guilty about not asking fist. Yes, that was exactly it.

Lucian decided, in a fit of social behaviour, that he would let himself be seen. So standing there, with his blood stains, he awaited for the other foal to turn around the corner...

Dhiren stopped in his tracks as a bloody foal made his presence known. He put his ears back now slightly wary. "Who are you?" He took a step closer, his wings ruffling to make him self look larger than he really was. "Are you the one who has been following me? Are you hurt?" His eyes were narrowed and he was indeed wary. He was alone in the woods with a bloody foal. What would he do if harm was meant for him?

"I'm Lucian." He did his best to smile, not something he was very use to. "I...Yes, I was." He realized that sounded really creepy, but he was just interested in other foals his age. Wary, as Karloff had taught him, but still curious.
"Who are you?"

Dhiren watched the other foal curiously. His movements seemed foreign to him, like he didn't smile or try to interact. "Dhiren is my name....Lucian. Why is your muzzle red?" He stepped closer to the other, slowly so as to not frighten him..if he could. Perhaps he got lost and thats why he had been following him? To perhaps find a way back? Or perhaps Dhiren was giving credit where it wasn't deserved. After all, he did follow him un-seen for quite some while.

Lucian felt his face burn red beneath the blood, "I...can't talk about it. Father said not to." He looked warily at Dhiren, afraid he might leave or think him a creep. Because, for the first time Lucian cared what someone else thought. He didn't want to be left on his own, and shunned. He wanted someone other than Karloff to understand.
"I...I just wanted to meet you," he mumbled. The voice in his head, for only one was awake, chuckled sullenly.
