Arajudia's Fate Learania, road to Arajudia, two weeks prior to the Great Eyris Siege A carriage road down a dirt road, lighting bumping upon the rocks as it rolled over them. Inside, a bored looking man with long black hair and a fair complexion stared out the window as he relaxed his head upon his palm. He did not share his bench. On the bench across from him sat two sophisticated looking swordsmen. One of them could not cease glancing back to the long haired man.
"...Are you sure it is safe to return, Mi'lord?" he eventually asked.
The bored man glanced at his guard, untouched by the concern. "The army protected the city and Lord Sceptan assured me himself that it is perfectly safe to return."
"...But the army was recalled."
"The commanders were recalled." he corrected. "Our troops are still there. I will not ignore my city, so I must return now to take care of business and get back to Eyris in time for the execution." He rolled his eyes and returned to staring outside. "Honestly, you worry far too much."
"... ...Yes, Mi'lord."
The carriage continued on in silence for the remaining duration of the ride. When it reached the main gate, it entered with no problem and continued on through the cobblestone streets. The guards observed the surroundings and nothing seemed to be wrong. The soldiers were posted on the wall and citizens were standing around. They did however not seem to react to the carriage and instead kept to themselves. Some even looked away as the carriage passed by. When the carriage eventually pulled up in front of town hall, the guard that was sitting up by the driver jumped down and hastily opened the carriage door. The long haired man emerged first, brushed himself off and eloquently slid his gloves on as the two guards inside followed him out. He waved for the three guards to follow him as he ascended the stairs and entered his home, his black cane tapping with every step.
When the lord of the city arrived at his office and went inside, however, he was greeted with the sight of a feminine looking man sitting in his chair, hands folded beneath his chin. "Greetings, Lord Arajudia. Welcome to my city."
The noble glared at the intruder. "Who are you?!"
"I am Vern, servant to Baroness Charolais." He grinned devilishly. "And the new ruler of this city."
"Alert the soldiers!" one of the guards shouted to the other.
"Oh, I'm afraid you'll find that quite impossible" Vern cooed as he stirred his tea. "You see, they're already well aware that I'm here. Those soldiers outside? Those were my soldiers in Learanian armor. As for the citizenry, well, they knew that if they tried anything, they would find an arrow in their backs." He chuckled. "They're being brought back to the dungeons now that their purpose is done, of course. I must say, it is very packed down there. I was thinking of selling them to Sentria... what do you think?"
The guard that went out quickly ran back in and shut the door. "Mordacheans... everywhere! They're already on their way up! Quick, help me block the door!"
Lord Arajudia growled. "Do you not know who I am? My line has developed the finest styles of swordsmanship in this world and I have mastered every single one of them!"
Vern rolled his eyes. "The way I see it, you have two choices. You can surrender right now and I may let you live.. or you can be stupid."
The noble twisted the top of his cane and then pulled out a thin, very sharp blade. "This is my city!"
"I take it you choose to be stupid."
Lord Arajudia hissed as he lunged for the seated man.

After the Great Eyris Siege, Mordache and Sentrian troops retreated back to Learania's other cities. Through the combined efforts of Estarcia and Adliana, the enemy forces were pushed back as far as Arajudia. After this accomplishment, Estarcia's new King, Cyric gathered his force with the intention of retaking Arajudia itself. To help with this, Learanian volunteers were called upon to be a part of this attack, since soldier manpower was needed more in rebuilding. With volunteers gathered, the force set out to retake the port city.Without knowing I'm alone underneath this moonlight I've got a feeling that fragile things are being moved far off By the power of always believing you'll be near me

Learania, encampment outside of Arajudia, several months later
A faint, circular vision of Arajudia's main gate could be seen through a scope. There was no movement and the gates were wide open. The situation was very peculiar. "...Still no sign of any movement." Cyric sighed as he lowered the scope, he couldn't get the eerie feeling that something was off. "It's uncannily peaceful, Horatio. I do not like it." He looked over to the commander he had brought with him to Learania, handing him the scope if he wanted to take a look himself. After a moment, Cyric turned around. "Let's return to the others."
When the two Estarcian commanders returned to the small encampment they had set up, the troops were gathered. "First, I'd like to thank and welcome the Learanian volunteers who will be helping in this attack." Scanning the area as he looked upon all the volunteers that decided to partake in this campaign. It put the Capt--No, that's incorrect, it put the new King at ease knowing that he was not failing in his duties. "It is volunteers like you that helped our country before and I'm honored to fight with you once more. As for our course of action, the city is currently being scouted. Until we receive that report, we will remain here. So, eat, rest, and congregate. If you need me... I'll be having my tea." He gave a small smile to the troops and then turned toward his tent.

{Well... Rath told me to post in the upcoming mini event... So here goes. o-o -kinda nervous}
The sun was still relatively bright in the sky, but the air was that of dusk; Mia breathed it in deeply and smiled- it was cool and fresh. She'd always loved that smell, it kept her calm and at ease- which was something that was useful in sticky situations.... And this situation was certainly sticky to say the least. Although she wasn't from around here, the swordsman had enough experience in battle to get a decent grasp on the problem. From what she gathered, it was unusual for the city's gates to be wide open like that, but there weren't enough signs of suspicious activity for them to go charging in bearing arms... The only thing that was really suspicious was the lack of activity at all....In other words, they were at a standstill until there was some sign of commotion. Tensions were high and people were jittery.
Mia sighed. If Soren had been there he'd have been able to keep her entertained for sure- he might have even already come up with a plan- he was really good at that sort of thing.... Or she could have sparred with Ike to blow off some steam... She always ended up getting beat up, but she swore she'd beat him one day....
"None of them are around here though..."
Another sigh. After they'd defeated the goddess Ashura, Ike had simply run off and disappeared; Mia had stuck around the Greil Mercenaries for awhile, but things were slow and she ended up bored.... So she'd left too, looking for a good challenge.... Which essentially meant barging in on esteemed swordsmen at dinner and demanding a battle. One day however, instead of marching into the house of a great warrior, she'd ended up falling a good ten feet and landing in a lake in the middle of nowhere. At first she'd been very confused, but wandering around and talking to people shed some light on the situation about where she was and how she'd arrived.... After that.... Well, one thing had led to another, and she'd ended up here... Volunteering for another crazy adventure other than one involving her old friends. It was both a bittersweet and exciting endeavor at the same time.
She didn't say anything when the leader addressed everyone. The words weren't really meant for her- she hadn't fought beside any of these people before- she didn't even have names down yet... But she would earn her place in the rankings- she was determined to.
Mia smiled and stretched, deciding not to sweat anything yet. "Man, I wish there was something to do!"
{Blah. Suckish intro.... Sorry >_<}

Chince slowly paced around a nearby thicket a small distance from the camp. This was her fifth or so day in this new land and she was just picking up on some of the differences in her planet's common tongue, and Learania's common tongue. Every time she passed a tree, she would greet it, pull out her sword, feign a strike, and then put it away, finished by saying a farewell.
She had been practicing this ever since her old goddess had placed her here with just the armor on her back, her sword, and a small notebook with what she had learned about the local language.
Chince walked up to the next tree, "Hello. I is nice to meet you. Mine name is Chince." She whipped out the blade and disembowled the imaginary foe. "I'll must be going now." She put away her blade and checked her notebook.
Something was wrong in what she had just said. She had gotten along rather well in her studies... but in truth, figthing trees was boring work.
Looking around at the camp, she noticed many people tense, and at the ready, something she didn't understand, mainly because she had no idea what was going on and why. She did know that something was going to go down soon, and that she would need to be ready to fight it. She scratched her red haired scalp a bit as she thought of fighting again... the missing gap in her memory seemed to tingle whenever she did so.

{Omigosh! Another post! It's like MAGIC!}
Waiting around for something to happen was boring; with how tense everyone was, Mia half feared that speaking to anyone would cause them to jump out of their skin... And they probably needed that for the battle ahead. So she instead plopped down on a rock and looked around, examinging her new companions; it'd be good to take everyone in so there'd be less confusion if violence broke out.
Eventually though her gaze settled on a girl picking her way through the brush, and although her friendly smile never disappeared, she quirked an eyebrow. It was ironic to Mia that one of the few people who seemed as calm as her was spending their free time chatting with the wildlife; if it were a laguz it might have made more sense, but a beorc...? Well, that was just darn confusing. Mia tilted her head, intrigued. From the look of her, the girl didn't seem to be from Learania either... She wasn't really certain, but it seemed that way at least.... the girl certainly wasn't from Tellius though, even the oddballs on Tellius didn't go around talking to plants.... then again, Mia supposed that she had to give the girl credit... she was at least as smart as Meg, Micaiah, and from the look of it, some certain species of tree.
"...Is that how you deal with stress?" Mia finally asked, sounding uncertain.

(Don't worry, I wasn't thinking it was at all)
Chince looked up quickly not having realized that there was someone else nearby. She stopped momentarily in her cycle and repeated the words "deal" and "stress" out loud followed by some strange gibberish and ending with a quick laugh as she understood the joke about fifteen seconds after it had been said.
"No, I'll some what new to this..." She paused to process the next word, "planet." She checked her book and noticed her mistake, and to prove she could get it right, she added extra emphasis on the start of her next sentence, "I'M, just prognosing my hello and good bye." She finished blissfully ignorant that prognosing and practicing were two different words, and that she had used singulars where she should have used plurals.
After finishing she walked off towards the next tree at a slow pace, seemingly muttering "I'm" to herself over and over, believing she had done pretty darn well for her first conversation with whoever it was that she had just talked to. Suddenly she realized that she hadn't even asked the name of who it was she was talking to.
Chince turned around and said, as if she had rehearsed it, "Hello mine name is Chince, where is your name?"
(Sorry btw for her talking mannerisms. She doesn't speak the language here fluently and sometimes messes up long words (though I'll usually put the word she meant somewhere in the post so the sentence is understandable still))

{It's alright, I can make out what she's saying okay. ^^}
Mia couldn't help but smile at how the girl spoke; when she'd first come to this world she had trouble with the language too, but it had been similar enough to her own that she was able to catch on quickly enough. This poor girl was stumbling over her sentences like a blind person in the woods, but she had an accent with a nice ring to it, and it was almost cute how pleased she looked with her butchered.... Whatever the language on Learania was called.
She could have corrected the girl, but Mia decided that it was probably best not to confuse her any and let her figure things out.... And she'd made so many mistakes that the swordsman wasn't even sure where to begin in terms of corrections. Proper grammar had always been Soren's thing- she just liked slashing things and sparring.
So instead she smiled warmly and exclaimed, "My name's Mia!" Then curiosity got the better of her and she added, "Where are you from?" But she was careful to speak slowly and enunciate her words, so the question would be conveyed easier.

ﻬ Horatio ﻬ ▫ ▪Altiplos Warrior▪ ▫ Horatio looked through a scope as well, and the he scowled. Just what was the meaning of this quietness all of the sudden? He didn't like it. Altiplos's leader scowled. "In true peace, Cyric, you can hear the noise of markets hustling and bustling, but this..." muttered the red-head, now turning to his... new liege's face. Calling Cyric "King" was going to take some getting used to, but he knew the reasons behind his reign. He would follow Cyric. The two were good friends, and Cyric even freed him when those foreigners departed.
"I guess there's nothing more to see." Horatio said when Cyric gave the signal to go back. When the two got back to the encampment, he continued to stand at Cyric's side. "I hope there's going to be more than this! It really is an honor to fight alongside real warriors." He said to encourage them. "I might not be as high-class as his Maje- ... Cyric, but I'll still be ready to talk to any of you when I have my own lunch." With a good nature about him, he proceeded to his own tent which wasn't too far away from anyone. Maybe there would be more, he told himself. Just maybe.⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹ My hammer forges new hope, My bow strikes for glory. May I bring you both, My liege, my country!

 Clara Risna
-----------------------------------------
Clara was on a tree looking out onto the horizon. She was just waiting for the order to get going. This probably wasn't the smartest idea for her to be doing this after she wore herself out and passed out a few months back, but she had her reasons.
Reason one was she felt like she could still do her job to protect her country. The myrmidon had that strong sense of duty to her. Reason two was the fact that she was one of the few people in Eyris who had fought and wasn't covered in bandages. Reason Three was a bit more personal. She wanted to get away from Eyris for the time being. There was a bit of an problem back there and she really wanted to avoid it. Someone really messed with her emotions and anytime she saw him, she wanted to cause him problems. She never did cause problems though. Clara was never the type to try to start conflict, she was always to type to stop the conflict. She felt better since she left. If one took a good look at her eyes though, they would see she was still a little hurt.
Clara's hair flew a little with the wind and the grip on her sword tightened. The sword she had was brand new. It was a custom made silver sword. Normally steel would be her preference, but this sword was a gift. She doesn't know who it came from though, but it did bring a smile to her face. She gave a small smile as the grip on her sword loosened a little.

Chince seemed a bit stumped for a moment, since the trees hadn't ever answered her. She then composed herself and answered, "I'm from Tuling, capital city of the South West of Arganthia, central continent on the planet of Targe." She had practiced this many times as it was one of the things her goddess had written in the notebook. She even underlined it. It took her a while to get it memorized, and in fact, she could almost say it without the stuttering and stumbling accent.
The sound of someone talking back in camp caused her to look over at the spot then back to Mia. She had almost forgotten to say her follow up greeting, "Thank you, the Mia."
It had suddenly occured to her that she hadn't fought against any one since she was on Targe except that one startled stable boy who woke her up. She also noticed that Mia had a sword. The idea flickered then was snuffed as she remembered that they had to fight others soon. Not to mention...
"Gurrrrrrrrrrmph!" Her stomach growled suddenly. A blush hit her cheek as she remembered that she hadn't had anything to eat in the past two days. "Sorry, I hadn't had anything to eat in two years." She expressed.

{blarg.... gaia is glitching up sooooo bad..... 'tis annoying}
Communication was hard with the language barrier. What with Chince's talk of 'planets' she made it sound like she was some sort of alien- which Ashera above, just made the conversation feel strained.... Actually, Ashera should have been left out of the equation- she was dead on all mathmatical levels and thus certainly couldn't create anything, much less extraterrestials. Thinking there had to be some easier way to communicate, Mia was about to ask the girl to spar with her; it was really what she tended to do upon meeting new people- she just loved looking for a challenge, and in general she tended to communicate better with a weapon in hand. Maybe she'd ask the girl sitting in the tree to join in too- her sword looked pretty nice to say the least, and if she had any skill with it then it'd be fun. But when Chince menioned she hadn't eaten in two years any thought of battle was blown out of her mind- she couldn't battle someone half starved- it just wouldn't be fair!
"How do people on your world survive so long without food!?" She stared incredulously for a good long moment- the thought that Chince might have mischosen her words never occuring. Eventually though her smile returned and she turned and pointed dramatically at the tent that she'd seen someone walk into just a couple moments ago- it was a man who'd been talking to the boss, or one of the bossmen at least- but he'd mentioned lunch, so it was likely that there'd be food in the tent.
leading the way to the tent, Mia exclaimed, "Let's get you something to eat!"
Hopefully Chince wasn't like Illyana when it came to food...

Chince followed along eagerly hearing the word food which she had learned only recently meant food. She thought back on her sentence wondering if she had said something wrong and wondered if she should have said decade... but that was in the wrong direction... they both started with d... oh well. She gave up on the thought.
Chince entered the tent Mia had pointed out, and entered with her retrieving a small fruit that looked like it was a few days old. She had forgotten to plant the seeds earlier so she quickly ripped it in half and retrieved them, She then ate one of the halves and offered the second half of the rather odd fruit to Mia. The pale, some what brown hues were changing colors from red to blue to yellow and back to red again. She explained it to be, "Wtohtaow."
She slowly chewed on it, the expanding juices of the magic fruit turning solid once in the stomach and providing an entire meal in such a small bite. Of course, the only problem with it was that it tasted like mulch and it had almost no nutritional value... and was purely sustenance to curb hunger. The seeds had all the nutritional value, but if another fruit was to be grown, the seeds would be needed. Not that this really mattered, she only wanted some food, and she could always forage for what she was lacking later.

Mia followed Chince into the tent, sending a friendly smile and a nod in the direction of the man who had walked in eariler, but letting him concentrate on his food.
She blinked when the girl handed her half of the strange looking fruit she'd found; it wasn't that the gesture was shocking so much as the fruit itself didn't look very safe. Generally when something was so many colors, and steadily changing at that, it wasn't healthy. At the same time Mia wasn't one to consider risks. She simply figured that since Chince had taken a bite of it it couldn't hurt to try it... it'd probably hurt her tongue less than trying to say 'wtohtaow'.
She only nibbled at a tiny morsel of the thing, but grimaced at the taste- even such a tiny piece had a very strong flavor; it certainly tasted as bad as those strange colors made it look. If that was what they ate on Chince's world then it was no wonder they ate only once every two years!
"I never did like eating my fruits and vegetables much." Mia admitted with a slightly strained smile- that fruit's aftertaste was still stuck in her mouth.

Chince knew what fruit and vegetable meant. She pocketed the seeds content with what she had just consumed, but she was still hungry. Though she had meant to say two days, it was true that she had once not eaten anything for two months, as such she always had room for more food. Sadly, she had no idea how to get any food in this place and waited for Mia to lead the way. She didn't even notice or care that Mia had only taking a small n** of the fruit.
In a happy tone she requested, "Lead the way the Mia."

Ziaram You may call me useless for the fact that I am learning swordsmanship with my left arm "You need your rest! There is no reason you should be going out to battle with a wound like that!" Called a medic that was helping him out. He merely ignored her, and continued on his way out. He was going to help out, even if he had to use a different arm with his swordsmanship. He wanted to prove himself.
Wandering back to his usual home, he grabbed a knife. It was time for him to do something about his hair, since it was just getting annoying. He had managed his hair many times, and so this wasn't much of a problem for him, despite using his left arm for the job. Although, the end result was still the same thing he was looking for. He quickly changed out of his old clothes, and into a new outfit, and wandered off to join the other soldiers...
He now found himself leaning against a tree, staring at the killing edge he would be using. His Light Brand had finally broke with the siege, so it was useless to him. He figured that he would eventually get himself another magic sword, since they seemed to work with him just fine.
"All I have to do is find myself something to do. A little training won't hurt me. I'll need to get used to fighting with my left arm anyways. Just gotta find myself a sparring partner for sometime." A quick look around the camp told him that others would be busy with others, so he let out a sigh. "Ah well, I am sure I will run into another swordsman sometime. Besides, we aren't gonna be moving out soon, so I have time to find a sparring partner." I say that this is just another challenge for me to overcome while my arm is recovering
