 Zahariah trots back to the territory that is claimed by him and his mate with dead fawn in his mouth. He decided to surprise Obsydian with a fawn since he was gone pretty much most of the day. The wolf wanted to tell his mate about the interesting encounter he had few hours ago with this temperamental male wolf. He wants to gloat to Obsydian about how he beaten the black wolf since he almost got beaten. But that detail is going to be opted out because he doesn't want his mate to taunt him about almost letting a strange wolf beat him. "Syd?" He calls out as he drops the body in front of the den and looks around for his mate. Zahariah always enjoyed being around his mate but it is not to be expected since they have been mated for very long time. He is actually proud and happy that Obsydian beat him in the fight because that means their puppies will be just as strong as them.

Syd had spent the day paroling the edging of what would someday soon be their territory. Zahariah was out hunting, which left her little else to do with just the two of them at the moment. She arrived back to the den they had chosen. Zahariah was not back yet. She surveyed the cave with a pleased look. She drempt of the day it would be filled with tiny paws, and perhaps that of a pack.
Her train of thought was broken though at the familiar voice of her mate calling her name. She strode forward out of the den, eyeing her mate curiously with a raised brow, then her gaze finding the fawn at his feet. "Well my my what is this my dear Zahariah?" She grinned, knowing full well he had brought home a delicious meal for them.
She moved in closer to give him a loving nuzzle on the cheek. She rarely showed affection for anyone except him.

Zahariah grins at his mate when she appeared just within few seconds of his call and he nuzzles her back fondly while making soft murring noises. "A gift for you, love." He whispers to Syd as he nudges the fawn forward toward his mate. "Plump and juicy baby meat." He looks at his mate with a fond yet crooked grin.
"I would have gotten us a bigger deer but I ran into a very interesting wolf today." He twitches his now clean ear but there is a tear in it. Zahariah actually took a bath in the river before he went hunting so he won't come back to his mate covered in blood or dried blood. He stretches his body out as he nuzzles her more. He can't seem to get enough of his mate, he always need to feel her against him and constant contact. Its almost like he is addicted to her love.

Syd could feel the murring vibrating against her cheek as her mate returned her nuzzle. Syd looked at the fawn and back to her dear beloved mate. She just loved how he knew what she loved. There was nothing as tender or tastey as baby flesh and blood. "Zahariah" She nuzzled him some more. "You know me so well." She gave him a pleased grin.
She quirked a brow and dismissed the bigger deer comment. "Its jsut the 2 of for now my dear. A larger deer would be a waste really without a pack or a family to feed. " However the strange wolf he spoke of made her curious. "What wolf of which do you speak my love? " It was then she noticed his ear. "Did he do this to you?" She snarled angrily, fur bristling down her shoulders and back, her eyes flashing with rage.

Zahariah grins at Syd, pleased that he did something right and brought the smile on his love's face. "But of course, my love." He nuzzles Syd more and murrs softly. "Only the best for you, Obsydian." He grins at her, immensely pleased while his tail wags back and forth behind him.
"That's true.." Zahariah mentally calculated how much meat they could eat and agrees with Syd that there will be so much meat left after they ate their fill. "The wolf is black with white star on his forehead. He was very belligerent toward me because I was making noises." Zahariah says with an amused smile then when he sees her eyes glance toward the ear and asked him that question. "Yes, he did that to me, love. We got into the fight but I beat him. He's probably still limping right now." He says with a smug tone in his voice while he looks at Syd's pissed off posture then he nuzzles her softly. "I think we will be running into him more often in the future. He vows to get me back for what I did to him." He smirks lightly.

Syd snarled as he spoke of the black wolf...she would surely make him pay for bringing harm to her beloved mate. No one...was allowed to touch or harm him, but her. He was hers and hers alone. "Noises? What kind of noises? hardly seems a reason to attack another....." she stopped a moment, knowing her mate all too well. "did you taunt or provoke him Zahariah?"
She noticed the smile on his face and she knew he must have done exactly that. But it still did not warrant the other to touch her mate. She smiled sweetly, almost sadistically as he told her he had won. "Thats great news but I still will whip his mangey tail...." she snarled slightly, her hackles bristling some. "A limping wolf should be easy to track my dear, but first, let us eat, Then,...we hunt. I cannot have some lone wolf out there undermining and damaging you, my soon to be alpha at my side. "
She moved towards where the fawn laid, its blood staining the ground at the entrance of their new den. "Then we shall have to teach him just who's in charge here and who he has crossed...won't we my dear?" And without another word she ripped into the fawn's carcass, hungrily devouring the sweet, juicy flesh.

Zahariah flashes his mate a sly look when she questioned him about the noises then about taunting or provoking the male and he pulls off an innocent expression. "I was just simply howling and he got mad so yes, I was taunting him." He gives her a coy smile while he flexes his muscles, revealing a wound on his neck.
He laughs as he looks at his mate with a huge grin, knowing that Syd will follow through with her comments and this... he won't miss for the entire world. Zahariah nuzzles Syd little bit as he murmurs lightly to her, "Mmhm..let's eat then have some fun." He grins more at Syd calling him soon to be alpha and he can't wait for that day to come. "But of course, my dear." He murmurs as he follows his mate to the fawn.
"Yes we would, my love. And it will be fun, teaching him that." His eyes glints mischievously as he waited until Obsydian attacked the fawn with vigor then he dove in, ripping meat off the bone but leaving the best and juicy parts for his mate like he always have been doing.

Syd stared blankly at Zahariah. Droopping the flesh she was holding in her mouth/ "Howling? whatever for?" She quirked her brow once more. Curious as to why her mate would be howling such as he said he was. Giving him a sweet, ever so innocent smile, Syd rubbed herself against Zahariah with affection after he mentioned why he was taunting the strange black wolf. "Well I can certainly see why, but whatever made him so mad and cranky with your howling? Wolves do howl after all my love, do they not?" She gave him a wink, before spotting the neck wound. "He did this to you as well?" she nearly screamed out her words in her mate's ear, anger rushing to her gaze once more.
She would maim this wolf for wounding her mate as he had done. He would feel her wrath, oh yes. She felt Zahariah's nuzzle. It had such a calming affect on her. She could not help but return his nuzzle. "Yes..lets....the sooner we eat, the sooner I can get to tearing into him." . She caught the flicker in her mate's eyes. She knew that look anywhere and she grinned, nodding in approval. Without another word, she began to meticulously pick at the carcass like she always did, carefully choosing only the best meat she could find and stripping the bones down bare.

Zahariah stares at his mate and chuckles while he grins more. "Well we are wolves, my love. I don't think I would need a reason to howl." He says with almost flirtatious tone. He almost purred like a feline when his mate rubbed against him with affection, and he gives her a loving n** on the neck. "Well he was already cranky but I couldn't get the reason why he was so pissed at my howling." He chuckles but his ears flattened against his head instinctively when she almost screamed the question out at him. "Yes... he did." Zahariah flexes his shoulders and extends his head out more so she could see the wound in his neck.
Pretending to be full, Zahariah steps away from the fawn and sits on his hunches with a grin on his face, watching his beloved dine on the fawn. He didn't say any more since they are pretty much going out after this meal to hunt this particular male down to make him regret what he have done to Zahariah. His tail thumps against the ground as he mentally visualizes the encounter they would have and he is eager to see Syd going after this male.

Syd shot Zahariah a glare. "Perhaps but others may not appreciate it in their territories for whatever reasons. Still...it was not reason enough to maim you my love...." She hungrily devoured her meal. She felt different as of late and her tummy had been growing some. She suspected the reason behind it but was not fully sure yet. Perhaps her mate would tell her if she had indeed grown a bit more plump or if it was her imagination.
Setting aside thoughts of the black wolf she laid down a moment, licking the blood off her claws and paws. "There is another matter I wish to discuss with you as well. I am sure you have noticed my increase in appetite and...I've been trying to determine the cause. " She looked at her belly. "Do I look like my stomach is growing larger?" What she suspected was that she might be with pups....but first to see what he had to say.

Zahariah smiles unrepentantly at his mate when she glared at him while he shrugs and sprawls out nearby, watching her devour the fawn. "I checked for the scent markers and there weren't any so it was a fair ground, I can be there whenever I want." He says as he chuckles softly before he smiles gently at his love. "I know, my dear. And we shall get him soon." He closes his eyes briefly, wondering if he is imaging things or not because Syd seems to be little bit more plump than before.
"Hmm?" He opens his eyes as he looks at his mate when she mentioned that she wanted to discuss with him about something. His ears pricks up as he brought his head up to show her that he is paying attention to her. Zahariah froze as she asked him that question that he was hoping she won't ask him because he have no damn clue to how to answer that question. "Hmm..." He sits up on his hunches and looks at Obsydian with a slight worried look in his eyes. "Yeah....You have been looking little plump lately." He is not sure why she brought it up at all as he looks at her. "Are you pregnant or something?" He is just taking wild shots in the dark to see if he does score an answer.
