Noon was early for Altair to be up, but the incubus had reluctantly rolled out of bed this morning. After spending much of the semester idle, playing various games to win minipets, the demon teen's grades were suffering and his parents were not amused. They knew their youngest son too well and under threat of having his trust fund of silver pumpkin seeds forcibly withdrawn, they prodded him into at least showing up to class.

Still a little groggy, the incubus took a final drag off of a hastily rolled something-or-other and flicked away the smoldering roach, letting the smoke billow out of his nostrils as he strode through the chill October air. His golden eyes fell on one of the numerous signs posted up about a minipet infestation. Anything having to do with minipets necessitated a closer look. Altair was quite an avid collector and he never could quite resist the draw of obtaining more.

"Bring your own cages... hm," the demon mused, scanning over the instructions on how to reach Mandy's dorm. Quirking an eyebrow, he headed off in that direction, crossing the grounds to the monster dorms-- a place that the incubus frequented rather more than he was willing to admit to his family. Expecting some manner of chaos with minipets crawling everywhere, he was mildly put at ease by the quiet in the dorm and even more by the doors flung open wide, and the sound of his footsteps fell heavy with booted feet as he stepped into Mandy's dorm, stopping short and glancing around at all of the containers, bemused.

"... So I heard... there was a minipet infestation?" he cocked a pointed ear at Mandy, his tone a little dubious. "Did I miss it?"

Altair flicked his tail as Mandy got up, picking up a container, and snorted as she said of course she wouldn't ask people to help her catch them, relieved that the dirty work was finished and he'd make off with a free pet. At her change in tone he hesitated, a guilty look passing over his face when she gave him that look. He glanced down at his person and reached up to grab the strap on his backpack, unslinging it and smiling at her charmingly as he opened it, offering the empty bag. "Of course. This should do it," he fluttered his lashes.

"What are these things, anyway?" he asked, his eyes flicking down to rest on the container, suddenly feeling a little trepidation. They couldn't be too dangerous if Mandy had captured all of them herself. Usually he wasn't one to look a gift horse in the mouth, but 'infestation' just begged the question. "And where did they come from?..."

Altair cocked an eyebrow at her as she described the creatures, grinning when she said that they multiplied like rabbits. He wasn't sure what an akubra was, but he figured there were more pressing matters at hand, so he didn't ask. "They sound charming, really," he teased a little, glancing down at his backpack when she gestured to it. The incubus spread open the mouth of the bag wide and looked over at the container.

"Open the container towards my bag and I'll shove it in," Altair said, shifting his stance to be on the ready for a fiesty minipet that sounded like a cross between a snake and an octopus. "They don't bite, do they?" he asked, wrinkling his nose a little.

Altair nodded. "Well those are both reasonable conditio-- wait, you give them alcohol?" the incubus paused, quirking an eyebrow at the monster, about to question further when Mandy opened the container and he had to pay attention in case the monster conveniently forgot to mention it sprayed acid or something.

The demon flinched away at first, though he pretended that he just had an itch when he sheepishly realized that the Akubrapus was asleep, scratching the back of his head and snorting softly before he reached in to fish the little tentacle monster out. He gave it a cursory examination before sticking it safely in his backpack, peeking in at it.

"Huh. This little guy doesn't seem so bad," Altair smirked, reaching in to tickle it a little. "Now I have to wonder how you know not to give them alcohol at those specific times..."

Mandy scowled lightly at his comment clearly remembering past incidents with the pests, "I don't give them alcohol, they steal it. It's like catnip to them, only way I managed to catch them all was to use up my whole supply."

Mandy herself may have given the tiny tentacle monster a small smile when Altair was transferring it. May have. They where so gosh darn cute and if anyone heard her admitting that she'd have to kill them. At least that one had given them no trouble, no certainty with the rest.

"Eh like I said their native minipets for where I live, these things have been discovered over ti-"

OH. MY. GOD.

IT WAS CLAIRE.

Mandy didn't dislike the ghoul it was just....

She was very blonde and Mandy had never dealt with someone like that before.

Help.

"H-Hi Claire. Nice of you to come help."

"....That's good. I don't think I'll be leaving though, it being my room and all. Did you bring a cage? The help is taking one of these pets off my hands and into your care."

That pose Claire was holding should be illegally adorable for a demon.

Infact she was sure it was.

((1-3: Your Akubrapus is unconscious from whatever Mandy did to get it in it's container, there is no fuss transferring it to your 'cage'

Mandy stared. And stared a bit more. And vaguely hoped she wouldn't put the cage back in there once it contained the Akubrapus. That.... might not end well.

Snapping out of it she got back to business. "Er, now I take one of these containers, open it and you grab the Akubrapus and put it in your cage. Simple yeah?"

For some odd reason she went along and started whispering too before holding up her fingers and using them to count down from three, opening the box when it ended.

Barley a blink after she did so and a blur of tentacles shot out in a desperate break for freedom.

"Jack! GRAB IT! GRAB IT"

((OH NOES ITS ESCAPED - QUICK CATCH IT! Roll a six sided die and react accordingly until you manage to catch it! If you roll too many times without success Mandy will catch it for you using beer to bribe it, but don't think she'll be happy having done so!
