Lilias was busy today, busy, busy, busy. First she was at the feeding grounds helping with the herdbeasts, then helping to wash the dragons whose riders allowed her to help. Now she was elbow deep in fresh greens making sure they were washed for the evening meal. Next she would chop them into proper sized pieces and place them with the prepared food to be dealt with by the cooks. Grab, wash, shake dry, grab, wash, shake dry. She was in the rhythm now, nothing could stop her. She had a fair pile of greens heaped up for the cools when there was a slight commotion at the entrance to the kitchen. She thought nothing of it, it was probably another set of candidates arriving to help.

Allaxon strode into the Weyr kitchen. Today had been a good day for him and he was looking forward to working with some of the excellent herbs he had found. Both of his fists were full of plant matter. He looked around for where he was supposed to go before he got harked on for standing around. His eyes fell upon a girl, whom he assumed was another candidate. She had long auburn hair and was beautiful in his eyes. He stared at her so long he forgot to watch where he was going and knocked over a few pots that where stacked and clean. The commotion alerted the cooks to his inaction and he was instantly scolded. The women stopped abruptly when she saw the herbs. They were good herbs so she simply scowled and pointed over toward the girl, indicating that that was where the herbs were to go. Allaxon blessed his luck.

Lilias started as a pile of herbs were dumped right in front of here. Curious she looked around for a cook. However, there was no cook. It was just another candidate with an undeserved grin on his face. What had she done? "Uh hello?" she formed it as a question. She studied him, he was good looking but looked like a trouble maker. Trouble makers didn't last long on fishing ships. They often swam home.

"Well hello gorgeous, what is a pretty girl like you doing in a hot chicken on a beautiful day like this?" Allaxon replied, huge grin still in place. He reached out and brushed a lock of long, auburn hair off her face. He missed the outraged glare as he continued to spout more flattering blather. "My name is Allaxon, and you are the best thing that has happened to me all day." He fluffed up the pile of herbs and reached for a rinse pot.

Lilias' eyebrow twitched at the compliment. And her entire face scrunched up at the contact of his hand on her face. How dare he, she was working!
"If your are just here to talk, stay out of my way." she ground out at the presumptuous boy.
For that was all he was, a boy. She new green firelizards who were more mature than he. And she was having such a nice productive day to. She sighed and grabbed a handful of the dratted herbs. She placed them under the water and then pinched a leaf and sniffed. Okay so they were good herbs. Pity that they came attached to such a womanizer. She then placed them on the cutting board.
"My name is Lilias and I don't have time to waste on blather." she told him outright. "Where I'm from, blather sees that you swim home." she stared at him to reafirm her point. She proceeded to chop up her handful into small sections for seasonings.
