DIsclaimer!: Time line wise this happens before shilo tell ali of his foals an before briallan meets Rakshi.
Rini:
Alinea was a little troubled, how was she going to even come to terms with...well, an obsession with her best friend...it was only obsession, no real meaning, nothing serious...she just didn't like others getting close to him, but where did her jealousy come from when she was watching him at a distance with random herd members? What the heck was wrong with her now? "I must be a fool." She sighed and started to bang her head against a tree in an attempt to knock some sense into herself.
Lysia:
Briallan stepped around a flowering bush to find a mare bashing her head on a tree and blinked a few times. This was just... well... odd to say the least.... Still it was a rather funny sight and she couldn't keep from letting out an audible giggle. It wasn't that she was a rude individual.. she just found it strange in that funny way that someone would bash their head on a tree.
Rini:
Her ears flicked at the girlish giggle, oh good god...what now? There wasn't a mark as she turned her head to look in the direction of the laugh, it was one of the prettiest mares Alinea had ever seen, perfect, dainty...everything the larger mare simply wasn't. Her wings flicked as sighed and went back to banging her head. Males like Shilo, liked little things like that...not bulky females who could kick their teeth in, and certainly not winged females who could leave at the slightest notice.
Lysia:
She blinked as she was looked at by the other mare before she'd continued with banging her head. Clearing her throat, she finally spoke. "Excuse me.. bum... why are you banging you're head? Is it some form of training?" Really she hadn't been THAT clueless.. she just knew some of the more.... battle warn soquili would often do odd things for the sake of training. Still she tilted her head to the side in curiosity letting her mane fal away from her to pose her shoulder and it's rather large scar as visible.
Rini:
At the question, Alinea stopped banging her head against the tree and simply rested it there for a bit, then spoke, "I'm just trying to...sort out my head, and thought maybe I could knock some sense into myself, and stop fretting over my friend who..." She sighed, "It's nothing, just a stupid mare thinking too much on something idiotic." She sighed deeply, her wings drooping as did her ears. She felt like crying, but there wasn't a real reason to cry, other than her inability to figure out what the hell was going on inside her head.
Lysia:
"Oh? What did your friend do?? Or is it something more?" This mare seemed like she needed a shoulder to lean on.. a female friend to help talk things out with. "Would it help if you had an open ear to listen to your troubles deary?" She offered her a small friendly smile. "I'm Briallan by the way."
Rini:
The bigger mare flumped down on her haunches and looked over at the cheery delicate mare, "I don't even, know. You're part of the Primrose herd, right?" She didn't think much, but she thought she might have caught a glance of the doe in front of her wandering around the same lands as Shilo had.
Ardell Moonblade: "Well.. yes.. It's my mother's herd." She smiled brightly. " Tell me.. What's your trouble hmm? A pretty mare like you shouldn't be so upset." She settled herself down so as to make herself comfortable. "Having boy troubles?"
Rini:
Alinea stared at the doe, her jaw dropped, then closed, and she blinked wildly at her, "Pretty?" She asked slightly, "Did you happen to suffer recent head trauma?" Her head tilted to one side at the question of boy troubles, "Shilo...yeah, could be a boy." She snorted a bit, "I...He's my best friend...but...I just...am so confused because...I think..." She mumbled under her breath, still not sure if it was the right answer or if she was fooling herself again.
Lysia:
"Well.. yes, pretty. Why don't you think you are?" She blinked a few times she guessed it was possible that some one wouldn't see the beauty in them self.. but why this mare wouldn't was beyond her. " You're quite pretty..." She smiled. then it registered who she was as soon as the mare had mentioned shilo. " Oh, so you're Alinea.." She giggled. "Shilo speaks of you... He's such a nice stallion if a bit goofy isn't he?" She listened to what the mare had to say. "Oh so you think you have feelings for him?? I see.. And you don't think he'll like you back or what?"
Rini:
Alinea's cheeks flushed and the effect gave her a bit of a purple tinge, "Of course he wouldn't like me. I'm...a bloody two ton bird, with gigantic ropes dangling off my rump and my head." Her complaints were everything she'd heard growing up, knowing she wasn't a delicate flier like the other females, "I mean seriously, eyes that are black except for my pupils? Which are demon eyes by the way..." She rambled off every last piece that was totally wrong with her, "He's a nice guy, but there's no way he'd have feelings like that for his best friend, especially when said friend has been and still is a monster."
Lysia:
"Of all the things Shilo's ever said.. monster was never the word my dear. I might not know much about males and romance... but.. I have to say... friends can some times become more.. Why. My mother and my father were little more than friends.. and now.. they're mates.. through it all side by side." She smiled hoping it would help to reassure the other mare. "Look.. I'm sure it couldn't hurt to tell him how you feel. the worst that can happen is that he says he doesn't fell the same right?" She leaned out her neck and gave the other mare a reassuring nudge.
Rini:
Alinea stared at the smaller, much more delicate female, and sighed, "Nothing wagered, nothing gained, and I sure as hell don't have anything to really lose." She glanced upwards and sighed, "How come you've got it figured out? And besides, wouldn't Shilo be more attracted to your type than mine? Dainty pretty thing with flowy mane, and you just look like a princess or something."
Lysia:
"You just need some confidence is all." she smiled. "Figured out? nah I've never even had a real romance." She snickered some. " And I'm not sure what kind of girl he's into though I can say he's never showed any interest to any of the girls in the herd. Maybe.. Maybe he doesn't know his type? Though I'm pretty sure what ever it is.. it's of the female persuasion."
Rini:
Alinea's eyes went wide at that thought, "Oh dear gods...if he swung for stallions...I'd have to shoot myself..." She snickered at the thought of Shilo making a pass at a stallion, "Nope, doesn't work, he just couldn't keep a straight face, and would turn into a goofball..." She snorted with laughter at the idea of her best friend being of the homosexual persuasion. She just couldn't see Shilo doing anything with a male, mostly because she couldn't see him as a bottom stallion or a topper..."I think he'd have to be really out of it to do that."
Lysia:
She couldn't help but to laugh. " Oh goodness.. I'm sure he's not the type to chase stallions around... well.. not in THAT way any how..." She smirked and stood up shaking the grass and things out of her coat before walking over to a plant that had white lilies in it. Carefully she picked the lilies and fashioned a few into a small wreath before walking back over to the other mare. " Here... Put this on you're leg." She smiled brightly. yes. a nice make over to help the other mare's spirits would be in call today.
Rini:
Alinea was busy laughing and took the wreath, managed not to crush the flowers and put it on. She looked at them with a tilt of her head, and smiled at how they looked against her dark coat, "They're beautiful flowers. They really are." She giggled again at the thought of Shilo chasing some stallion, "Yeah, I think he'd be flattening the male for making a pass at him, rather than chasing tail."
Lysia:
"She snickered some more. "Yes.. well he once nearly got into it with what he called a deranged mare for trying to bury him alive once..." She shook her head some and plucked a few more flowers before returning and arranging them in the mare's mane and tail. Stepping back she looked the mare over and gasped. "Oh how pretty!"
Rini:
Her eyebrow quirked, "Deranged mare? Buried him alive?" She hadn't been in contact with him terribly often, since she was...well trying to figure things out on her own, so obviously she'd missed a few things, "What's pretty?" Her head tilted a bit, the flowers shimmering with the remnants of dew from the morning.
Lysia:
She motioned Alinea to follow her. " Common you'll see..." She smiled as she started walking to where she knew water to be. " OH yes.. he'd gotten pretty banged up while wandering around, taking in the sights after he had first arrived to these lands.. while he was unconscious he said some bat wacky mare with a mirror buried him alive and he had to dig himself out dirt in wounds and all or suffocate..."
Rini:
"That's just insane..." She mentally made a note to murder said mare if she ever came across her, or at least flatten her enough that she got off the high horse she was on. Getting up and following after Alinea blinked a bit, "So where are we headed Bri?" She smiled, "Ehhh, hope you don't mind, I shortened your name. Saying the whole thing...I'd rather not risk butchering it with my maw." She gave a sheepish grin, that showed her teeth to be sharp like a Kalona's.
Lysia:
"Yes well the more insane part was that he had said she insisted that he worship her like a deity of some sort.. he laughed call her a nut job and walked off.. apparently she wasn't so happy about that but ah.. oh well.." She smiled and continued to walk only stopping when they reached a small brook. " We're coming here so you can see the lilies, silly." She giggled lightly and shook her head. " I don't mind.. my family and friends all call me Bri for short any ways."
Rini:
Alinea's eyes narrowed a bit, "She really was crazy." Her head tilted as she glanced in the brook and saw flowers on her frame, and in her main and tail, it looked...oddly feminine, compared to how she usually was, "Well, they're pretty flowers...but...I'm not sure..." She fumbled about, "I like them, but I'm not sure this suits me very well.
Lysia:
She gave a small shrug. "It's ok.. flowers aren't always for everyone." She smiled. " If you like, I can take them out.."
