I like certain kinds of metal, hate others. I like symphonic metal, melodic metal, metalcore, and progressive metal. But I hate things that just focus on speed rather than sounding good, and a lot of different types of screaming bugs me.
I basically just love a** kickin' music.

I like rhythms.
Melodic/symphonic metal bores me, as does ridiculously fast shred, I just love it when a band plays around with interesting complex rhythms. So, usually tech/prog death metal.

I like steel, and brass, and...wait, I like Dragonforce, that's about it for metal, if you can consider that metal, otherwise Jazz, Classical, Rock, some techno, J-rock, J-pop, and soundtracks.

I'm a proud metalhead of one of the purest forms - the only metal to pass through my headphones is straight-from-Europe, untranslated, obscure-genred, or Fear Factory.
In fact, I'm about to post my playlist in the forum.

European metal is too... meh. In fact I really don't even listen to much for metal anymore.
