Quote:
It was a glorious afternoon with the bright sun hanging in the cloudless sky, raining down rays of warmth. Lady Luck had her legs folded underneath her as she laid just out of reach from the tide. Her tail stretched out so that the gentle motion of the waves could come up and dampen the scales that so often dried out and cracked if she wandered away from water for to long. Which was pretty often, since she did like to linger in the forest at times and greet all the precious woodland creatures. Lucky was in fact yearning for a little adventure or some good old fashion play time, but unfortunately her siblings were nowhere to be seen. Those were her usual play mates, since she hadn't exactly gone out and met any other soquili outside of her family. At least none that stuck around for long. She nosed at the damp, compacted sand she was laying on and tried to gather a mound so that she could scuplt it into some sort of castle, but she wasn't exactly the best at this task and it turned into more of a molehill than an actual castle. "Meh, it's such a pretty day but nobody to share it with," she complained just to have something to listen to. Perhaps somebody would come down to the beach to cool down and then she could coax them into having a day of fun with her. Yes, that was her plan and she was sticking to it.

Quote:
He had been walking for hours. While it was true the shade of the forest was a cooling feel across his shimmering fur he couldn't help but feel that it was just a little too hot for his own enjoyment. "Argh" he huffed as he made his way, winding around trees and trying hard not to slam into them as he argued with himself. It was normal for him to talk to himself, even more so that he replied to himself. His mind was wandering and he was growing tired. The sound of nature running itc course, animals, trees, the ocean. "Wait?!" he said to himself, his ears twitching as he strained a little trying to hear the sound. "Ocean!" he screamed running off in the direction of the waves. Making his way out of the tree line, he barely noticed the mare who was sitting out in the sun. Letting out a loud cry as he leaped, crashing into the waves with an odd laugh

Quote:
Time passed by and poor lucky was beginning to wonder if anybody would feel the need to join her for a cool dip on this hot day. Just as she was about to rise to her feet to go for a swim this battle cry like noise wailed from behind her and she sharply turned her head with a look of pure surprise. When she saw a bright stallion with interesting markings dash for the water she got to her feet, feeling her blood begin to pump with excitement. He seemed like a kind and energetic fellow. Somebody who she could see herself getting along with just fine, so she pranced her way into the water, crashing against the wave just as he did. Unfortunately, he did happen to be stronger and could take it while she was more frail and was completely sweeped off her hooves, toppling in the water before being washed up on shore. She had the widest eyes as she laid there for a moment, confused about what had just happened. "Maybe I should stick to littler waves," she laughed at herself before standing up, glancing back at the male to see if he had noticed her mistake, not that she'd be embarrassed what so ever. She was a hard one to humiliate.

Quote:
The wave crashed against him, bracing himself he let out a grunt as he hit it, trying to show the wave just who was boss. The feel of his hooves sliding in the sand, he let out a loud bray as he turned his head into the wave. Catching a quick glimpse of the female who came out of nowhere, crashing into the wave and then dissapearing as he went under the water. "What the..." he thought before coming up out of the water with a loud huff, finding his footing and jumping gently with the waves. The water came up to his neck as he kept with the waves, trying to keep foot and afloat. Turning he saw the female who had dissapeared standing on the shore. Smiling, he waved his head about. "Hello!" he called out, "Are you ok?"

Quote:
Young Lucky simply beamed at his pleasantly friendly greeting and she bounced on her hooves like a foal piping with excitement might do. "Hello, hello!" she cried out to him before making her way back into the ocean, relaxing all the more as her scales hit the water. She felt so at home in the ocean. She trudged through the water and used her tail to propel her forward, making her way over to the stallion with a look of pure eagerness, "I am fine fine! I just took a tumble. I'm used to them by now." She had to stand on the tips of her hooves to come to the save height as he was. "You're a bit taller than I am," she stated an obvious fact and felt the water lapping at her jaw as the waves bobbed her off the ocean floor. "Oh, I'm Lucky by the way. Lady Luck, but yeah... call me Lucky! What can I call you?" her voice was bright and full of life. Hopefully that didn't irritate the stallion.

Quote:
Seraphino was shocked and amazed at how eager she was. She was so bright and bubbly and oddly adorable he thought to himself as he watched her bob in the water. Feeling a little bad for her, he took a few steps forward, taking himself more inland and hoping she would follow suit to be a bit more comfortable. "Why hello 'Lucky'. He said with a half smile, he wasn't sure what to make of her but he was just glad she was ok. "I'm Seraphino, though you can call me Sera if you want." He stood there blinking at her. Unsure of what to make of her. "Your very....hmmm.." he paused for a moment, cocking his head to the side. "happy? yes...happy" he smiled bright at her. Trying to make her feel more comfortable

Quote:
As the kind hearted stallion went more towards shore, she happily wiggled her tail, pushing herself to follow him. Finally, her hooves could reach the ground and firmly planted them, standing with her neck just out of the water. She didn't think he have moved closer to the shore on behalf of her. She was sort of oblivious to simple secretive acts of kindness like that. She was the sort of girl who needed things of that sort spelled out for her. "Sera?" she giggled softly before blurting out, "Isn't that a girl name?" In no way did she intend for that to be insulting, though it probably sounded like so. She was just proud of herself for realizing it and didn't consider the fact that it might hurt his feelings. "I like your name. Heh, I would much rather call you Sera than Phino. Wouldn't that be a silly nick name for you? Here Phino," she pretended to call his name and laughed lightly, meaning no heckling. "I am happy!" she stated proudly. "I finally have a friend to play with! I've been waiting on this beach all day for somebody and finally you came! Thank you," she smiled brightly at him.

Quote:
Wow....just wow...he thought. She managed to insult him, belittle him and turn it all around and back to being happy. He stared at her as if she was crazy. A half smile on his face as he tried, really tried not to sound too upset. After all she could just be...that slow...he thought. Letting out a small cough, he sighed. "Say-Ra." he pronounced to her, "SAY-RA....not Sarah. and it's not my name it's just what my brother calles me. Seraphino is a very masculine name thank you. It means Fiery one, though that suits my brother more than me..." he snorted. "At least you like my name..." he was taken back in an instant. She had assumed he came for her to play. Smirking a little his smile turned almost twisted. "Ah. To play eh? Well then what do you want to play?"

Quote:
As he began to pronounce his name for her again and again she couldn't help but laugh at his attempts to over clarify. "Saaaay-Rah~" she sang in a pleasant tone. "Alright alright... it's not girly," she snickered softly noting to herself not to question his masculinity again. When he mentioned the meaning she tilted her head and looked him up and down. Well, from whatever part of him was out of the water at this point. "Fiery one. I think it suits you from how you tackled that wave the way you did! That was so cool! I wish I was strong enough to take on a wave like that," she perked up and glared at the waves that crashed against the shore. They were a little to far out to really be effected by them. She quickly ended her false intimidating stare when he mentioned playing. "Oh! We could play many things! Tag is fun! Oh, and I do really like hide and seek... though... sometimes I can never found..." Little does she know that sometimes he just pretends to hide and just wanders away to keep her occupied. "I guess I'm just a really good hider!" she beamed happily. She was such a foal at heart. Still so innocent.

Quote:
"Strength isn't always a good thing..." he paused as he braced himself, watching another wave form a little bit out. Letting out a cough and a nod, hoping she took the hint and saw the wave forming as he hurried forward in anticipation. " I don't run very fast, even though I am fairly strong." he called with a nod, ducking his head down and to the side taking on the hit of the wave, digging his hooves into the sand, trying to hold himself before shaking his head off. Smirking as he watched her and her excitement, he nodded a little more. "Well I am not very fast...but I am sure we can play hide and seek. Though a beach is a lot of open space to be playing such a game...don't you think?" he took this statement as his que to start making his way out of the water, shaking the salt and sand from his skin as he made his way to the shore. Looking at a few pieces of shell, stepping on them.

Quote:
Little Lucky wasn't to clear on his nodding but when he moved off towards the wave that was coming she finally put two and two together, backing away as if trying to escape, but there was no running from the wall of water that was approaching. Soon enough she took the hit and was buried under the water, though it didn't slam her against the ground like that initial hit had done. She popped her head back up out of the water and smiled at Sera who seemed unaffected for the most part. "Fairly strong?! You're like ... like... as strong as an Angeni or something!" That was the strongest thing she could compare him to at the moment, having been put on the spot. When he agreed to playing hide and seek she squeaked with joy and rushed out of the water, thanks to her tail for making her all the more quicker. She began to prance back and forth like a prize winning pony, "You're very right. We can't play hide and seek on the beach. Let's do it in the forest! I know the perfect area! It's got caves and big fat trees and lots of bushes and stuff!" she chimed happily. Well, before she heard a crack and her face instantly lost it's glowing happiness. Her eyes darted down to his hooves and noticed crushed shells. "Oh no! What have you done?" she pouted as she leaned down and tried to nose a little sand dollar back together. "Oh, that would have been perfect for my collection..." she sighed, feeling like she just lost the lottery.

Quote:
Seraphino looked down at her confused, it was just a shell, nothing more. Stepping back he gave her some space as she tried to peice it back together. "Hey now...it's just a shell there is no need to get all bent out of shape. I am sure you can find more all over this beach?" he felt bad this time, leaning down to push the other edge towards her, knowing it wouldn't peice back together but was willing to appease her. "Come...let's go to this area you're talking about. We can play a game and you can forget all about the silly old shell. You can even tell me about your collection as we go." He hoped this made up for the fact he hadn't watched where he was stepping not that it mattered much to him. She shouldn't be so downtrotten about something as silly as a shell.

Quote:
True, Lucky was rather down in the dumps now about the shell being shattered under Seraphino's weight but her mood quickly picked back up as he nudged a piece over to assist her. She could tell that he was sorry and she shouldn't bash him for a simple mistake. "You're right... I'm sure I could find another one to go with my collection..." she stood back up and gave him a genuine smile, stepping beside him and walking him to the secret location where she played her hide and seek games with family. Not that it was really secretive at all. "Well, I have this collection you see," she began, ready to tell him all about her doodads and thingamabobs, "It's a gathering of things I find on the beach, like shells and rocks and even interesting peices of wood!" It was very exciting to her and just talking about it soon wisped away her previous emotions of loosing a potential attraction in her collection. "I like to collect pretty things," she chimed and nudged him. "How about you? Do you like to collect things?" she tried to get him to speak up, because as much as she loved talking she enjoyed listening as well.

Quote:
As they walked she stood by his side. It made him feel awkward, as he would glance over and listen to her go on and on about her collection of who's its and what's it's galore. All the shapes, sizes, colors it was filling his head with nonsense as he continued to smile and nod. When she nudged him, he looked over for a moment, hoping she didn't move to hard and even pretended to step aside as if she had managed to move him. "No. I have no collections, I travel to much to keep one. I have to travel light you know, pretty much just me. I find water and food as I go and sleep in thickets I find here and there. Its a calm and relaxing lifestyle." He said with a smile.

Quote:
Lucky felt her curiosity starting to kick in when he described the sort of life he lead and wanted to ask so many questions but noted in the back of her mind that it usually made the strangers she met leave sorty after. She was just to much for some soquili. "I've thought about traveling myself, you know. It seems fun fun fun~" she cooed, mostly to herself at this point. Her mind began to drift as she began thinking of what wonderful adventures she would have whilst exploring the unknown. "Maybe I should start traveling. I shall ask my brother or sister if they'll join me. If not... well..." she gave a gentle shrug, the best a horse could do, and trailed off into silence again. She finally stopped in her tracks though and peered around, noticing familiar hiding places. "Oh! We're here," she beamed brightly, a smile that could light up the night. "Who goes first, Sera?"

Quote:
Sera smiled, a rather large smile, the fact that she had taipered off eased him. For the moment, the brief glimpse of silence was a godsend. "We're here eh?" he said taking a look around surveying the land. He was going to play with her all right, he needed to scope out some of the better hiding spaces. True she had a home field advantage, but his game was going to be more of who scares easiest. Though he wasn't going to tell her that. "I don't mind counting first if you want to hide. You did say your an amazing hider yes?" he brayed a little with this comment, his tail swishing from side to side the best it could as he grew excited about the game.

Lady Luck wiggled her nose to get a small itch on the bridge of her nose. Thank god for these spiffy specs. "We are. Isn't it awesome?" she smirked at him and began to look around, wondering which of her favorite hiding places would be best for round one. In her mind she was already going to hide first. It just seemed fair to her since it was her idea to play the game after all. When he offered to count first she nodded quickly, "Oh yes! That's a good idea, I shall hide. Though, I must warn you... I'm an expert!" She wasn't all that wonderful at hiding but she assumed she was since she was rarely found, often left alone. "Okay, now start counting, Sera~" she sang his name and bounced on her hooves, feeling the excitement building.

Quote:
He turned to face the closest tree, tilting his ears back to try to listen for her as he cocked his head watching her as she hid. His mind wandered as he counted aloud, first calling out. "I'm going to count to 10!..." he paused as he loudly exlaimed "one!." As he counted slowly he thought about the best way to scare her. Each turn would be another type of scare, but what was a good first one. "Hmmm..." he thought as he called out five. "I know...." he laughed as he fought with himself for a moment, "You really should be nicer to her maybe she's ill?" "Nah, she's dumb, deserves it." "Seriously you should play a propper game with her." "OH WHAT DO YOU KNOW!" he cried out, looking around for the moment in embarassement, before shrugging the conversation away. "Eight, Nine, TeN! READY OR NOT HERE I COME!" he cried out turning around to survey the area for changes.

Quote:
Lady Luck had managed to trot away to her favorite hiding spot. A cave who's enterance was overgrown with vines, hiding the darkness within. She snuck to the very back of the cave and huddled up on the floor, giggling softly as she heard his count down. "He'll never find me in here. Never ever. This is my favorite spot. Only I know where it is," she chimed softly but it wasn't long before she heard him shouting angrily, making her ears flick back with concern and a bit of fear. She was about to get up to go check on him when he called out that he was coming to find her. She perked her ears fowards again and ducked down in the dark. She didn't even give it a second thought to who he might be talking too.

Quote:
As he searched for her, he kept his ears out, listening to every crunch of the ground beneath his feet, the sound of every bird chirping, bug humming. He looked down at the ground looking for any sign of where she may have gone. "Oh little lady bug...where have you gone?" he snickered as he peered behind a rock, "Nope not there..." he called out again, looking for her, as he got close to the edge of the hillside, he let out a loud gasp a shrill cry deep from inside his chest as he began stomping around loudly, flailing his body weight into the near by brush and trees. Snaps all around him. As he called out, making his voice go from high to low and then dead silence as he made his way side stepping up the hillside and down behind a rather large thicket. Not another peep was uttered as he waited for his moment, trying not to laugh.

Quote:
She was giggling softly at the sound of him calling out to her. Lady Bug. She beamed happily at the nickname and was now trying to think of cute things to call him. They would be the best of friends. All the sudden though, there was a loud yell, accompanied soon by stomps and cries. Instantly she jumped to her hooves, startled and weary of what to do. Should she go and help? What if it was a big bad skinwalker? Still, she couldn't just leave Seraphino all on his own. As strong as he was against a wave he certainly wasn't a match for a beastly Kalona or anything of the sort. She dashed out of the cave, getting tangled in the vines for a moment before breaking free, ruining her perfect hiding spot for later use. She darted off in the direction of where she heard the yells but before she could reach the area they fell silent and she stopped at the hillside, glancing around. Her heart was pounding in her chest as she meekly called out, "Seraphino? Sera!?" she was obviously shaken up from what she had heard and prayed that he wasn't far. She began turning in all directions, trying to see which way he could have possibly disappeared. If anything happened to her new friend she would be oh so sad.

Quote:
He watched her with a smile, she was genuinely worried about him. It kind of hit him like a punch in the gut, how could he have been that cruel. As quietly as he could he snuck up the soft ground, moving his way around before popping out behind her half jumping atop her with a loud, "BOO! found you." he said with a small laugh as he slid off her and looked at her. For a moment there he thought he had killed her. "Great! Another one!" he thought to himself, remembering that he infact had never killed anyone but had given them a good run for their money as well. "Hey..." he said pausing as he reached his hoof out, "You ok?"

Quote:
A tiny bird rustled in a bush just ahead of her and her ear twitched at the sound. There! Maybe that was the direction Sera had been dragged off in. By this point she thought maybe somebody had kidnapped her only friend and she needed to go get him back. She was completely unaware of any activity going on behind her so when Seraphino leaped out and practically landed on top of her she gave a shrill scream, "Ahh!" she cried out, feeling her legs give out from the fear and weight of the male. She landed on the ground and bowed her head, tucking it against her chest as she took a sort of fetal position. When she heard him call out that she was found she slowly opened her eyes and blinked up at the male, feeling relief wash over her. She just had a blank expression though, not knowing what to feel at this moment. Though, it seemed her body was taking over. An unfamiliar sensation forced its way inside of her, and soon tears were gathering in her eyes. She had been scared to death, to the point of tears. "Y-yeah... I'm fine..." she muttered in a broken voice. Something that wasn't a usual for Lucky.

Quote:
His heart sank. He had never been this cruel to anyone but himself. But seeing the poor girl crying on the ground before him. Actually made him sick to his stomach. "Hey..." he said in a much softer voice than before. Leaning down to nudge her with his forhead. "Hey look..I'm really sorry. Don't cry. I can't handle girls crying. Come on now. I...It's not that bad. I'm ok. Really look I'm ok...your ok... we're all ok." He took a few steps back, slinking slowly as he fell to his rear looking at her. "Come on now. Look, we can play a real game if you want. I won't be mean this time. Just please don't cry..."
PostPosted: Fri May 06, 2011 8:30 pm

Quote:
Lucky sniffled slightly, actually feeling the weight of embarrassment starting to kick in when he practically begged her to stop crying. She turned her head away, forcing her legs to get their feeling back and stand up. "I said I was okay... really." She assured him, not liking the sickness that flooded his usually handsome and rich voice. It was weird, why did she feel so ashamed, and what was with these tears? She took deep breathe and found it hard to get excited again over the game that was offered. "A real game?" she blinked a few times, feeling her eyes dry up. "I don't know... I don't think I wanna play anymore..." her words were a lot slower than before. She wasn't angry, nor sad. Maybe just a little confused as to why she couldn't perk up.

Quote:
His ears grew flat as he slowly stepped back, tunring to take a look around, trying desperately to find something to change her mind. "You don't want to play? How sad. Maybe...you can make the playing field a little more even and show me some of your favorite places to hide? For later?" he laughed a little, while this was something diffrent to do, it would be a blatant cheat help. "Are you sure your ok?" he said, his ears still low. He knew he messed up bad but he didn't think she would be this dead. While he didn't mind the break from stupidity. It just didn't sit right with him for her to be so...lifeless

Quote:
Lady Luck's ears were pinned back due to an emotion she couldn't quite comprehend. Though, the weight of confusion was lifted from her as he mentioned that he wanted to inspect some of her favorite hiding places so that it was a bit more fair for a later game. "For later?" she questioned in a hopeful voice and felt her spirits starting to rise. He wanted to stick around? Nobody ever came back to see her, but maybe this time would be different. "Yes, yes! Let me show you, Sera," she sang slowly, working herself back into her cheery state of mind. "Follow me. I'll show you--" she was cut off by his sudden concern and she faced him fully, tilting her head. "I'm fine now, friend..." she smiled at him and approached, leaning into the stallion and giving the simplist nuzzle before turning on her hooves, "Now follow me. I'll show you where I was hiding before you.... yeah..." she lead him towards the thicker part of the forest. When she came to the vines that laid ripped and torn from her previous sprint to save him she felt her jaw dropping to the ground. "Oh... well... it was my favorite spot... it's not so secretive anymore," she pouted and nudged at the vines that were left. "I guess I got tangled and broke them when I tried to leave..."

Quote:
He sighed a little, his body tensing up as she nuzzle nudged him. He was half expecting her to hit him. He wasn't sure why, probally because he desrved it. But as she walked him into the woods he smiled at least until they came up to the torn up vines. He had inadveratedly destroyed her favorite spot as well as torment her. "Great..." he thought to himself as he watched her pout and nudge the ruins. Oh she was good, he knew it was just her nature, but she was good at laying on the pity. "Awww it looks like it was a very good spot, it still could be a good spot. How deep does it go?" he said as he looked down into the hole, slowly stepping in.

Quote:
Lady tilted her head as he explained how it could still be a decent place to hide and she nibbled her lip as she pondered how that could be. "But... with no vines--" she began only to understand later what he meant. "Oh, it goes deep. Very deep," she explained happily and nudged his rump to speed him up. Once he was in she followed and lead him to the very back where light didn't even reach. No matter how bright the two of them seemed in the light all that Lucky could make out at this point was their outlines. "Sera?" she spun around for a moment, finding a black blob and approaching it. She leaned in to give him another nuzzle to make sure he was okay in the dark but ended up head butting into a rock with a small, "Oomph. Oh~ Well, that's not you... Seraphino? Where'd you go?" she spun in little cirlings, straining her eyes in the dark.

Quote:
It was very deep, deeper than he even thought it would be. As she nudged him in deeper he let out a small bray. The sound echoing off the walls as he continued on his way. This was the darkest area he had been in. Not even being able to see the bright glow of his own long hair. He was now lost. As he leaned as close as he could to the wall, he pressed himself to it, following it along the frame. "At least I should be able to follow this out..." he thought as he heard her bump into a rock. "I'm back here..." he said, the soft sound of bits of dirt dropping from the walls inder his hoof made him feel a tad uncomfortable. "Where are you Lady?" he said as he tried to follow her sound not straying from the wall.

Quote:
The confused kelpi heard his voice though it was a bit unreliable since it kept bouncing from wall to wall. "Oh, I think I see you now," she chimed happily as she followed approached another shadow only to find it was a rock as well. Her glasses slipped from the bridge of her nose, hitting the ground and echoing in the cave. 'Alright, I need to stop running into whatever shadow I think is him...' she thought to herself, starting to get frustrated. She wiggled her nose, finally realizing that her specs were missing and began to panic. "Eeep!" she yelped as she squinted through the dark. She didn't need them to see but she certainly couldn't leave them here. Her father and mother would be oh so disappointed. "Sera! Sera, I've dropped my glasses! Oh, my father is going to be so upset!" she whined nervously and nuzzled at the dirty floor, attempting to find them. All the sudden there was something touching her tail and she gave the smallest squeak of surprise. She spun around swatted whatever it was with her fin. Unfortunately, it had only been Seraphino scaling the wall, looking for her.

Quote:
Her tail was like a whip as it smacked up against his neck with a sting. "Hey now! Hey now!" he called to her. "A little bit more careful yes?" he said in a playful tone. He wasn't to upset, he understood because you couldn't see. Not having heard her glasses fall, he stepped as gently as he could feeling around for them trying not to step on them. As he pressed his hoof down, he felt a soft crunch under his hoof. Praying to himself that he didn't break them, it was just the pressure of his hoof against them, he leaned down and picked them up. Holding them gently in his mouth. He mumbled, "We should back out...."

Lady Luck gasped as she heard Sera shout out in surprise and she giggled softly, "Oops! My bad Seraphino... I thought you were..." she paused, thinking that talk about monsters would only further freak herself out. "Oh, nothing..." she continued to feel around on the floor, but when she heard the gentle crunch she gasped and felt her heart drop. "Did you shatter them?" she slurred from how quickly she spoke, her heart pounding in her chest. When he spoke with a muffled tone she put two and two together reasonably quick for her usual wit. "Oh thank goodness," she sighed with relief washing over her. "Yes, lets do that. Before you drop them this time," she giggled happily and walked in front of him, drapping her tail around his neck so that she wouldn't loose him. As they neared the entrance of the cavern she felt the warm light hitting her again and slunk her tail from his neck, walking out and bouncing on her hooves with glee, "Oh, you did find them! Sera, you're amazing! Thank you so so much!" she craned out her neck, as if expecting him to help ease the accessory onto her face.

Quote:
As they stepped into the light, he let out a small sigh of relief. His eyes closed for the moment, trying hard to get his eyes to adjust again. His eyes were dialated for the moment, giving him a slight headache as he shook his head, leaning his head in close to hers as she tried hard to slide the glasses unto her face without dropping them and or hurt her. "There. I think that's right." he said with a small laugh. "Well that was interesting...." he said with a jilted grunt. "It's a very nice hiding space. Get all the way back there and no one can ever find you."

Quote:
The Kelpi mix gave the most adorable little hop as he finished placing the glasses on her as if testing to make sure they wouldn't fall off. "Yep, you did it perfectly! Thank you again Sera. Thank you, thank you," she sang sweetly to him before her attention was being brought back to the cave they had just emerged from. "Now that I think about it, that's still the best hiding spot," she gleefully leaned up against him, "Can wait to play with you later." It was almost as though she had forgotten about the cruel joke he had played on her before all of this exploring in the cave. "Say, I wanna give you something," she seemed to get all worked up about whatever idea was brewing in that somewhat hollow head of hers. "Come, follow me Sera~" she lead him back towards the beach. Hopefully he enjoyed shells and the like. She was going to give him the best little trophy for finding her glasses in the dark.

His eye brow raised as he eyed her carefully. She said she wanted to give him seomtehting and it just didn't compute with him. As he watched her walk off and becon him to follow he was sure it was a trap. Almost certain it was one in fact as he slowly followed wondering what horrible thing he was up for. He was certain it was a trap. As they came back to the beach, he let out a sigh of relief as he pranced around her.

Quote:
The eager mare watched as this brightly colored Stallion began prancing around her as they neared the destination. "Hehe," she giggled as she began to pick up her own hooves and pranced very much like he did. Not to make a mockery of him but because she wanted to look just as appealing as he did. "I have just the thing for you. I really do. I've been working on it for a while now and just managed to get it right, Sera~" she told him before coming to a rocky area and nestled between two boulders was a stash of her most prized possessions. Drife wood, shells, rocks, and even a few peices of dried kelp. "Here it is!" she leaned down and picked up a necklace that was looped with a bit of leather she stole from a teepee. "It took me forever to get it the stringy thing through the shell." She beamed brightly. "Wanna try it on and see how it fits?"

Quote:
He eyed her oddly. What on earth could she have for him, they had just met and he found all of this to be very awkward. As he let out a small muffled laugh, he couldn't help but take a look at her digging through a mound of junk before pulling out a long string of leather with a small shell on it. She was proud of what she found and he was certain that she felt that this was the best thing. He smiled a little awkwardly as he straightened his neck out towards her with a smile not wanting to offend her as he slid it around his neck, brushing against her accidently as he leaned his head up and shook, letting the necklace hang down around his neck. "How do I look?" he said as he put on a cheesy smile.

Quote:
A slight shudder traveled down her spine as he brushed against her lightly but she took it simply as a jolt of excitement running through her. Though, it did leave a funny feeling that lingered a bit longer than usual. When he leaned back and questioned how he looked she gave a small hop before nodding, "Sera, you make it look so good! It's even more prettier on you~" she sang sweetly to him as her tail swayed back and forth happily. It was true, the way the pink and blue hues sparkled on the shell matched fairly well with his pelt. "You make it look sooo good Sera, I'm jealous. I wish I had your prettiness," grins happily at him.

Quote:
"Prettiness..." he paused for a moment. That was funny to him as he broke out into a fit of chuckles. Stepping back to hide his face slightly as he laughed. He had never been refered to as "Prettiness." "Prettiness...." he tried hard to choke out as he said it. "Wow...just...Thank you." he took the awkward compliment. "Though you're very pretty too in a very bright and unique way! Don't see many with a look and style like you running around."

Quote:
The Kelpi flicked her tail like a playful cat as she watched him chuckling. She never took it as offensive. In fact, she was very much enjoying the sound of his laughter, and found herself giggling along, "Yes, prettiness. That's what I said," she spoke as if confirming his 'question'. He was just stating how strange it sounded though and that never occured to her. When he thanked her she glowed like the sun, "You're welcome, Sera." The compliments are what caught her off guard though. Nobody had ever really complimented her looks. Well, as a whole. She usually got compliments on her eyes and maybe her funny looking tail but never all of her was pretty. "You really think so?" she asked, just to be on the safe side? She looked sort of baffled all at the same time though.

Quote:
He let out a laugh and a loud bray before taking a few steps back, trotting around in circles. "Yes, I meant it. Your pretty in your own unique way. It's not every day you find someone who is as dark and bright as you are.. It's unique and interesting. Though I doubt you can ever get lost." he snickered, "Dark enough to not blend in, light enough to brighten the dark..." he said as he paused thinking, "Unless it's pitch black! we proved that already didnt we?"

Quote:
Lady was all to intrigued by his words, flattered but obviously struggling to keep up with what he was trying to convey. So, was this good, to be unique, never fitting in. When the brightly colored stallion spoke of the recent situation they had gotten sucked into she giggled and nodded enthusiastically. "We did! Oh, that was spooky. I had never been that deep in the cave before." She tilted her head and eyed the pretty little gift she had gifted him. "Are you going to keep it forever? Forever and ever?" she questioned with a soft voice. "If you ever take it off I'll notice..." she spoke, assuming that he'd stick around. Assuming he'd be back again and again and remain her friend.

Quote:
His ears twitched as he took a few steps back looking at her with a very confused and slightly weary face. "You'll notice eh? If I take it off. Well then I guess I have to keep it on then now wont I?" he was a little taken back, he knew she was a bit slow, but that sounded down right creepy to him. As he smiled he thought hard for a moment, "Then I guess If I have to keep this on forever I'll have to find you something in return now wont I?"

Quote:
Lady Luck tilted her head to the side slightly, cropped hair fluttering as the wind picked up. She bowed her head slightly more to look over the rim of her glasses, "Well yes. I mean... why wouldn't you want to? It is pretty snazzy on you, don't you think so?" She paused for a moment, glanding him up and down to make sure it fit with his whole look and she had to admit it was quite tasteful. When he spoke of getting her something in return she beamed as if she were a child on Christmas morning. "Something for me?! That would be awesome, Sera! What did you have in mind?" she was all to eager to have something she could show off. Oh how she'd cherish it till the end of time. She always treated her gifts with so much love and respect.

Quote:
"I'm not sure yet. I think if we look and wander around long enough I am sure I can find something that I feel will suit you well. I mean this.." he paused looking down at the necklace tilting his head to the side with a slight swing. "Suits me so well It will be hard to find something to suit you." he said with a laugh. "I assume you know this area far better than I would. Aside the beach where is a good place to find knick Knacks?"

Quote:
Lady smirked as she trotted around him a few times before coming right up along side of him. "You wanna wander around? With me?" she seemed all to pleased with the thought and even gave a little throw back of her head, having to keep back a whinny. "Well, you could make anything look good Seraphino. It wasn't a difficult thing to do do," she laughed light heartedly before bumping her rump against his, "Come. I'll show you where I usually find the most interesting things." She nipped at his braid, finding amusing how it wrapped around him. She trotted along, hoping he'd follow close.

Quote:
"Heyyyy now!" he called out as she began to trot off, "Be careful of the braid! It takes forever to get it braided let around wrapped nicely where I'm not stepping on it! I was blessed backwards. A short stub of a tail and a long flowing maine." he laughed as he wiggled his short tail before trotting up along side of her. "So tell me a few of your likes so I know what to look out for."

Quote:
Little Lucky wasn't slowing down but definitely wasn't going at a quick enough pace to leave him in the dust. It was a relaxed sort of trot that Sera easily caught up. "Heh, I happen to enjoy your oddity. It's so cute~" she mused as she glanced back, adoring his little bushy tail. What really got her thinking was his last request. The mare never thought about what she liked, she usually liked everything. Well, except when her friends were in danger, obviously. She did not like that heart attack from earlier. "Mmm, things that I like?" she thought for a while, a bit slow to come up with ideas. "The ocean... um... friends... you..." she listed off all the things from the top of her head.

Quote:
Sera trotted up to her quickly and laughed a little as she listed what she liked. "Me eh?" he said in a slighly cocky tone, well then that solves this issue. Opening his mouth he pooled his saliva onto his tongue and with a big lick, covered her short hair in saliva. "There we go, my present to you, my spit." he said mockingly with a snide laugh as he picked up his pace and half trotted ahead of her quickly.

Quote:
Lady Luck was quick to nod her head, "Yes you, silly. My best friend," she giggled in an innocent way before watching what interesting faces he was making as he waited for his saliva to gather in his mouth before he leaned in and gave her mane a long lick. It made her hair stand in a silly mohawk sort of deal and she shook her mane with a shiver. "Ick~" she spat out watching as he trotted away in his amusement. "Hey! That was gross! I don't want your nasty spit!" She picked up her pace, "get back her so I can give you another present of your own," she stuck out her tongue, using it as a threat, wanting to return the favor.

Quote:
He picked up the pace, trying hard to get himself to a full gallop. This mare was crazy if she thought for a second he was going to let her spit anywhere near his luxurious hair. "Oh hell no!" he called out as his hooves hit the ground with loud thuds. Closing his mouth tight he began pulling even more into his mouth, just in case. Pulling it into his cheek to call out "Stand down! I repeat! STAND DOWN!" as he choked back a laugh, loosing his breath for a moment with his own spit.

Quote:
Lady was running with all her might. What advantages she had in the water she definitely lacked on land. Speed was not her strongest point but as he shouted at her she slowed her gallop in confusion before noticing his puffy cheeks. Oh crap. She froze with a look of disgust on her face, "Oh, you so wouldn't dare...." she half warned and half prayed as she came to a stop and just stared at him with a stern look. "Seraphino.... noooooo..." she spoke to him as if he were a dog about to do something terrible.

Quote:
Trying to choke back another laugh he turned quickly darting into the woods. His plan was to back track around and get her from behind, as he slowed his pace he heard her call out. "I wouldn't dare..." he thought to himself with a snicker. He was going to get her and he was going to get her good. At least this time it wasn't something menacing like the last...right? He smiled as he was proud of himself and the thought he was having as he silently stalked her, hoping his green coat would blend in better and that the blue would be less noticable.

Quote:
Lucky widened her eyes as he darted into the forest. "No fair!" she called out even if there weren't any rules to this 'game' they were playing. When she ran into the woods, tongue still hanging out as a threat she paused when she realized she lost track of the stallion. She slurpped her tongue back into her mouth and turned in circles, "Sera? S-sera?" she bit her lip. Maybe he had galloped off further. "Maybe... he'll come back?" She seemed a little eager for the thought, beginning to shift her weight on her hooves anxiously as she waited to see what would happen.

Quote:
He kept quietly circling her, every so often stepping on a branch or brushing against a bush to let her know that something was following her as he turned he looked down and saw it, it was perfect. Tilting his head down he picked the object up in his mouth covering it in spit. It was becoming hard to contain his slobber as he watched for the moment, waiting, crouching down the best he could behind a bramble. Waiting for his moment to strike.

Quote:
Sera was certainly confusing the poor daft female. She glanced around at every sound, jumping and gasping at the possibilities of what it might be. Maybe a bear? A mountain lion? A rhino? Lady Luck had heard of many beasts but wasn't smart enough to realized they belonged in certain parts of the world. "S-Sera, is that you? It better be you!" She heard a sound coming from over in a bush and she tip toed over to it, slowly peeking through it to see what was on the other side. She saw a little squirrel though and sighed with relief. "Oh, well you're certainly not a rhino," she giggled, feeling relaxed. "Were you the one who was making all those noises?" she completely dropped her guard.

Quote:
Sera took advantage of the rouge squirrel incedent and pounced on it. Jumping from the bush behind her he pranced up with a loud roar, licking her from the bottom of her neck all the way up and down her hair in one foul, long swoop. A Tiny violent snail shell trailing along the slime gently falling to the ground at her hooves. He trotted off and around in circles snorting in triumph

Quote:
As Lady inspected the squirrel there was loud thuds coming from behind her. Hoof steps? Then came a mighty roar that frightened the poor squirrel anyway and just as she pulled her head back from the bush there was a sickening feeling of something wet and warm sliding along her mane, making the hair stand on end like jell. "EEEP!" she squeaked out in surprise and pulled back quickly, stumbling over her hooves as she stared at what Sera dropped on the ground. "Ewie! You've gotten me dirty and sticky with your cooties!" she giggled and stared are the shell that was once home to a snail. "Oh? What's this?" she leaned down to pick it up before noticing the shell was filled with his saliva and she blurted out, "Gross! I'm not putting my mouth on THAT!" she scrunched up her nose and looked at it long and hard, wondering how she'd handle it.

Quote:
He snickered. He had done good, found something pretty and yet had still managed to give it his own personlization. As he smiled at her, he wondered too, how she was going to get her pretty gift if she was refusing to pick it up. As he trotted over he looked down at it and frowned a little. Looking up at her, he pouted a little. Deciding to tug at her heartstrings once more. "Did you not like it? I thought it was really pretty...." he sighed a little nudging it with his nose.

Quote:
Lady glanced up as he trotted up to her and stared at the shell. "Who said I didn't like it? I love it! It's freakin' awesome... I just..." goes back to her intense staring of the object. "It's been in your mouth obviously, and if I pick it up your spit is going to mix with my spit and ... " shudders. "That'd be like us kissing," she made a silly face before leaning down to nose it as well.

Quote:
He raised an eyebrow and snickered a little. "Your silly. Have you ever drank from the same small water source as someone? Or bitten off a family members apple after they have? Were you kissing them?" he laughed a little more, though the idea of a kiss did intrigue him greatly. "Better yet are you saying that a kiss from me is gross?"

Quote:
Lady considered the following examples and she shrugged slightly. "Well, I.... that's different..." she tried to convince herself more than she was trying to convince the stallion. Out of nowhere it seemed she froze solid. "Kiss from you? Gross? I... well... heh, I've never had a kiss at all so ... I'm not even sure if kissing in general is gross..." is obviously growing nervous from the way she keeps glancing around.

Quote:
"How is that diffrent?" he huffed a little as he slowly stepped around her, circling her much like prey. He was amused, so much by how 'special' Lady was. She was easy, to easy to get exicted and he loved it. It fed his slighly more sadistic mentality while still feeding his kind side too. Brushing up beside her, he rested his head atop of her's, wiggling it slightly to knock her glasses down her nose.

Quote:
Lady's scaled tail began twitching around wildly at the sensation of being brushed up against her body like so. "Er... I..." she bounced slightly on her hooves just from the agonizing nervousness that was building in the pit of her stomach. Her ears twitched about and the way her eyes squinted softly at the feel of her glasses loosing their grip as Sera so casually wiggled her head to the point of loosening them. "S-Sera? Come on... you're going to make them fall again..." she giggled softly and found herself learning against the stallion. "S-so close..." her words continued to be stuttered out with a hint of panic in her voice, but she seemed to be excited rather than frightened.

Quote:
He slowly moved his head down the back of her neck, slow and steady listening to her breathe as she went on about how her glasses were going to fall. As he slid from beside her, he let out a small laugh as he looked her in the eyes, pulling his face close to her's. Sliding her glasses back up her nose with his own. Pulling himself closer to her, watching her squirm a little before opening his mouth, running his tongue down the bridge of her nose and stepping off with a laugh. "I love you." he laughed, "That face, priceless."

Quote:
Lady Luck felt her skin shiver from where ever his touches fell upon her. The laugh that even left his lips caused her hooves to tingle. These feelings were strange to her but she was to dense to really pay them much attention. Seraphino even did the honors of pushing her glasses up for her, which was kind. She couldn't exactly do it by herself, really. As his face pulled close to her she gasped slightly and pulled back with uncertainty. 'Wait... what is he doing? His mouth! Why is it opening. Oh god, oh god!' she thought in panic to herself as she wiggled her body uncomfortably on her hooves but just as she suspected him to kiss her his tongue pressed against the bridge of her nose, leaving a wet trail. She made a oddly pleasured face before shaking her head and substituting it for one of disgust. "Sera! That was icky! How could y-" she was cut off quickly though, silenced by confusion. Love. A word she didn't exactly understand, but had heard much of. It was suppose to signify a great liking, right? "Y-you love me? Sera loves Lady Luck?" she asked, letting her excitement get the best of her. "Well,I totally love you too! I'd be happy to make any face you'd like," she smirked at him.

Quote:
He stared at her blankly for the moment, his mind not sure how to comprehend what just happened. He had expected her to freak out but yet she stood there before him making happy and yet very stupid gestures. "Faces..." he laughed to himself as he lowered his head and shook it. "You're something Lady..." he said pausing for a moment before looking back up at her, stepping close to her again and brushing his neck against her's as he walked by and back around her, leaning in close to her ear, "Love..means many things...:" he said in a low tone before gently pecking at her cheek, pulling away and running off into the brush with a snort.

Quote:
Lucky didn't exactly know how to take his words. He was acting somewhat funny now. The rubbing, the soft voice, the luring eyes. Everything was just so strange to her for she had never been in a situation such as this. She didn't hesitate to lean against him at every touch he gave now, finding it to be strangely addicting. Things took a sudden turn for the worst though as he spoke in a low voice, right into her ear, making her twitch so bad that her tail flicked about. "W-what is that suppose to--" she gasped, silencing her question as his lips pecked her quickly before pulling back. "Seraphino... I-" she was about to explalin her confusion when the stallion ran off, leaving her with her jaw on the floor. "H-hey! Hey, where are you going?!" She panicked and didn't want to be left along. She found that she had grown quite attached to this male and if he left her now she doubted she would ever see him again, and she couldn't like this happen. She sprinted off after Sera, trying to catch up. "W-wait! Wait, Sera, wait!" She panted as she chased him. There was a bit of sadness and fear in her voice, terrified of the possible loss of this male.

Quote:
Seraphino heard her call out, even more surprised she was coming at him full pace. He hadn't expected that, it sent a shive of excitement down his spine as his heavy hooves, crushed the ground beneath him. Looking to the left and to the right frantically trying to find a place to hide, before giving up for the moment, stopping himself. He pranced in place for a moment before he nodded to himself, turning back he galloped towards her. Hoping she would be smart enough to move.

Quote:
Lady couldn't quite catch up but she could hear his hooves stamping against the ground just ahead. She was close. Getting closer. Closer. Wait, why were the hoof steps getting so loud so quickly. Then she saw Seraphino, coming at her full speed. She was a bit dazed at the idea of him returning and a stupid smile passed over her lips. She didn't realize that she was still in a sprint though and once she snapped out of her happiness she skidded to a stop, but not nearly soon enough. She collided with the male, hitting chest to chest with him, causing her to get the wind knocked out of her. She exhaled dramatically before wobbling and falling with a thud to the ground, trying to gasp for air.

Quote:
"She didn't move..." he thought to himself as he collided into her, forcing himself to stop the best he could, to keep from trampling her as she bounced back and too the ground. "Idiot..." he said with hard breath as he tried to catch his, leaning down to nudge her, trying to make sure she was ok. "Why didn't you move?!"
PostPosted: Fri May 06, 2011 8:49 pm

Quote:
Lady Luck huffed and coughed, whimpering slightly at the pain in her chest yet most of her sadness was from how harshly he called her that cruel name. "I... I don't know..." she spoke softly and scooted back from him, forcing herself to her feet even if she wasn't ready for it. The mare's face scrunched up with discomfort as she felt her chest throb with pain but it'd settle down eventually. "Why'd you run at me like that?" she asked her own curious question, not traces of harshness in them.

Quote:
He stood over her for a moment before watching her scoot back and right herself to her feet. As he stepped close to her, he watched her carefully. "Why didn't you move? Did you think I could stop on a dime? If something bigger than you is running towards you...you get out of the way!" His tone was harsh at first, taipering off into a more quiet and worried one. As he got closer, he held his nose out, reaching towards her carefully trying to make sure she was ok.

Quote:
Lady eventually managed to obtain some form of normal breathing again. The yelling caused her ears to tilt back, bowing her head much like a scolded dog. "I... I don't know... I-" she cut herself off, not knowing what to say to the stallion. Her dodger blue eyes slowly found their way back to his, afraid to find anger but there seemed to be something else. Maybe concern? Sera leaned in close to Lucky, attempting to make sure she was alright but all he recieved was a quick step back. She did this for a number of reasons. Maybe he'd yell at her, lick her, say something that would make her brain hurt. "You're upset with me, Sera?" she asked in a soft voice, not wanting to speak up to her friend.

Quote:
"No..." he paused for the moment, watching her carefully and stepping back to give her the space she wanted. "worried....furious...I don't know." He wasn't sure how he felt at the moment. On one hand he was worried, she could be hurt and it being his fault would bother him greatly. On the other hand he was angry, furious that she hadn't moved out of the way. He was used to her slow nature but that took the cake. " I could have seriously hurt you..."

Quote:
Lady Luck felt the weight lifted off her shoulders, only to have it come piling on again. Not upset but possibly furious? Well, that wasn't a good thing at all. "Oh... I... I don't understand..." she tilted her head and shrugged it off, finding it not really in her best interest to pry. When he spoke about her nearly being seriously injured she smiled at him. "Aw, but I'm fine. Just a bit of soreness, but I've never let that stop be before..." she trailed off, not very happy about the fact that he seemed genuinely bothered. "Seraphino... please don't be uh... furious with me... I like it when you're happy..." She takes a leap and steps closer to him once again, pressing her forehead against his, fixing so the bridges of their noses were laid against one another's.

Quote:
He stared at her and closed his eyes for the moment, exhaling hard as he let the breath he was holding out. "you really are quite dim..." he said with a small laugh, keeping his forhead to hers. "I'm fine, I'm fine, promise. Just don't be like that again. If someone or something comes running at you, move. Turn, jump, run, roll....whatever, just move." he said with another small laugh, shaking his head pulling her's with it

Quote:
Lady couldn't help but laugh at his comment, finding it quite funny. "Well, my colors may not be as beautiful as yours but I think they're pretty bright." She managed to stray away from the embarrassment by letting her thickness take a hold of her. She giggled as he gave her the small lesson and shook her head with his. "I will, Sera. Heh, sorry about that." She took a moment to enjoy the contact between them, nuzzling her face against his, allowing her eyes to flutter shut and just melt. "Sera, can I tell you something?"

Quote:
Closing his eyes for the moment he pushed his head against her's continuing to rock it back and fourth, even going far enough to snort when she made the comment about their skin colors. As he opened his eyes, he gave a small nod, stepping back from her a little, his ears twitching. "Sure.." he said, a little hesitant

She bounced softly and swayed back and forth with excitement, feeling her body buzzing with happiness. She was going to tell him the most exciting news ever and she just hoped he would show the same thrill for her. "You... are... my.... bestest friend ever, Sera!" she did a little squirm before squeaking out happily and leaned in to lick his cheek happily.

Quote:
He just kind of dropped. His face dropped as he watched her bounce and give her announcement. Sighing out loud, he hung his head, before flopping his heavy body down to the ground. Something inside of him just kind of died for the moment as he sat there in complete silence. As he looked up at her, he gave a sad, almost fake smile as he laughed. "That's very good, very good, your mine too I guess."

Quote:
Although Lady wasn't very bright she did have some level of empathy. The fake, almost pained smile on his face didn't sneak passed her censors. "Sera?" she slowly lowered her body down on the ground next to his, scooting closer to cuddle and drape her scaly tail over his back. She lightly swished it back and forth over his pelt in a comforting fashion. "You're upset... is it because you're my friend?! If it makes you so sad we don't have to be friends," she was starting to feel a stabbing pain in her chest. As much as she didn't want to let go of Seraphino she couldn't force him to be her friend if he didn't want to be. "I just... I thought we were having good fun together..." her voice wasn't it's usual bubbily self. Instead it was cold, distant, and eerily slow for a change.

Quote:
The feel of her tail brushing up and down his back was weird. Her tail was smooth yet heavy. It threw him off a little as he thought about it. "No...it's not that we are friends. I am enjoying spending time with you. It's not an issue. I think it's good fun. Don't worry." he said, shaking his head. "The sun should be setting soon.... I think we should get you home before your family worries, yes?" he said with a nod, not wanting to stand.

Quote:
Lady Luck tilted her head slightly, eyeing the stallion as he tried to sooth her worries. Any normal Soquili would have understood this was just a simple way to make her feel less guilty but her being who she was fell for it so easily. "Okay!" she instantly lightened up and nuzzled against him. When he brought up the sun she glanced off in the distance and noticed it was setting rather quickly. "Oh... but... but I don't wanna go home, Sera... Can't I spend the night with you?" she asked hopefully, staring with her big bright blue eyes. "Pretty please?" she gave a small wibble of her lip.

Quote:
He blinked for the moment and looked up at her with a slight air of worry. "What do you mean you don't want to go home? Everyone thinks of going home right? I...I don't know if you should spend the night with me. I don't really have a home to go back to, so I...can't really...say yes..." He paused for a moment, trying to look away from her quivering lip.

Quote:
Seraphino was confusing her right now. Why was he being so different? Something wasn't right but Lady just couldn't put her finger on it. "Well... then you should come home with me~" she sang sweetly to him in a soft tone and leaned closer, pressing her cheek against his. "What do you say Sera? Wanna go home with me? I promise you'll like it..." She thought that her dad would be fond of her new best friend. Plus, she sort of wanted to show him off.

Quote:
Pushing his cheek back against her's he leaned up, throwing her head under his and laid there with his head on hers. "Home with you? Do you really think its appropriate for a girl to bring home a random male she found when he crashed into the sea?" he said with a small snicker. "I don't remember my parent's well, I haven't seen them in a long time, but I would hardly think they would feel it would be appropriate. I mean, I'm sure your father would see me as somewhat of a threat, no?"

Lucky couldn't decide if he was trying to let her down easy or coax her into easing his own worries. "Daddy wouldn't by upset..." she tried to ease him. "He'd be so happy to meet a friend of mine~" she trailed off though as she let his words sink in. "Your mother and father... you haven't any memories of them?" That small fact saddened her a bit but if he didn't feel comfortable going home with her she wouldn't push it. Her main worry though was that after they parted they would never have another day as fun as this. That is even if they saw each other again. Lady was just so afraid to let him go. "I don't wanna see you go..." she confessed softly and buried her face against his neck, feeling her eyes starting to sting out of nowhere with random tears. What a jumble of emotions she was having.

She was crying. She was crying and he had no idea why. "I know my mother and my father, but I left home as soon as I could and didn't really look back. I see my brother sometimes and even more rare, my sister but I don't really make it home so to speak. I enjoy travelling much more...then having to be home..." He sighed once more, closing his eyes, "Hey....don't cry...why are you crying? Seriously, no reason to cry...did I do something wrong?" He paused looking up at her.

Quote:
The way Seraphino spoke about his family made poor Lady's heart ache. How could one want to leave their family behind? Lucky couldn't even imagine not seeing her parents or siblings for long periods of time. "I like to travel too but... familiar faces... they're nice aren't they?" she answered in a soft voice, still pained from the tears in her eyes. When he pointed out her saddness she quickly shook her head, wiping them on his pelt as if it were a tissue. She was so dense she didn't think that it was gross or bothersome to the male. "I just... I don't wanna see you go. I don't want you to leave and never come back, Sera. I... I really really like you..." she hoped that confession would make him want to stay with her. She didn't know what else to do.

Quote:
Smiling he nudged his head against hers and smiled. "I'm glad you feel that way...." He paused. Looking over at her he nudged her head once, then twice, flicking his body into an upright position. As he stood over her, he leaned his head down to hers, resting his forhead against hers. "I travel a lot, I never stay around one place for very long..." he kept his gaze on hers. "While I like familiar faces...I've never been much of one for company... Though... I'll gladly escort you home..." he said, turning his head quickly to lick her cheek gently.

Quote:
Lady got to her feet, not feeling any better about the fact that he was leaving like it or not. "Alright..." she simply moped and dragged her body up off the ground, leaning away from his touches from this point on. What was the point of getting close to him if he was only going to wander away? She sighed and just started walking off in the direction of home. For a girl who was as ditzy as she was at least she could remember the way her home was.

Quote:
He huffed, "women..." he mummered under his breath as she skirted away from him, starting to walk towards her home. He never understood them, never wanted to. His sister did her own thing and he didn't see her often so the most female interaction he got was from those he met while wandering. This was no diffrent. Except, this had become diffrent. He paused, letting her get ahead of him as he watched her. Wondering to himself why it was she got under his skin. Shaking his head he caught back up, snapping gently at her tail fin. "Do you live very far?" trying to make light conversation

Quote:
As much as Lady wanted to pull her tail away from the sudden nippings that the male was doing to her tail but she found herself strangely comforted by the sensation that he was trying to get her attention. She glanced over her shoulder, torn between going closer and pulling away. "I... um..." she glanced around at her surroundings. "Yes? It's a good walk... far, I think..." she glanced back at her tail, noticing how her scales were getting try. "Need to make a stop though. Back to the beach with me for one last cool dip..." she suddenly changed directions, as if changing to that one idea on a whim. At this point she wasn't sure when Seraphino would leave her side. It clearly bothered her but she didn't voice her worries. That didn't mean that they were well hidden though. She grew rather selective with when she spoke and how she held her head. She seemed all the more paranoid.

Quote:
For the moment, he felt completely and utterly slow. He wasn't sure what it was he did wrong but he could clearly tell that somewhere she had changed on him. He nodded as she mentioned they were taking a detour back to the beach they first met, earlier that day. Seraphino made sure to stay behind her, trailing her quietly trying hard to think of what he had done. It was frustrating him, making him angry, he wasn't used to females and all of their emotional baggage but he was trying.
“Hey...are you sure your ok?” he said as he picked up his pace to catch up to her, bumping his heavy body against hers. He could smell the water as they grew closer and he was determined to find out why it was she was acting so cold, why it was he was feeling like a horrible jerk for her feeling this way. “Seriously...I mean I know I come across as a bit brighter than you..” he paused adding in a “no offense. But even I am slow at times....I just...I just don't understand you.” he huffed as his hooves hit sand.

Lucky felt like she was walking alone because of the way Seraphino was lagging. The only thing to keep her company was his weight cracking twigs and leaves on the ground. Suddenly, the pace picked up and she could hear his voice speaking though her and she was all to eager to listen, even though she wanted to be upset with him for a change. When he spoke about himself and the way way he was brighter than she was she glanced down at her body before looking over at his, feeling a bit put down that he would bring her looks into this. Though, that wasn't what he meant in the least bit. It just goes to show how truly honest he is. Though, when Sera brought his slowness into the conversation Lady finally glanced over her shoulder at the male, giving him a soft stare, drained of all her usual happiness. "I am okay..." she simply answered at first, building on the idea and what to say. In awkward silent situations like these it took her longer to form an idea that would actually get her idea across. She stepped into the ocean, soaking her tail and spiny webbing, enjoying every second of it until she realized she had been prompted to say something. "O-oh..." she came back to reality and stared at Seraphino with sad eyes, utterly lost. "I don't know, Sera. I've never spent so much time with... with a friend like you... I just... I don't want you to leave and..." she paused, hating to even have to say the words so she mumbled them in a whimpered fashion, "never come back..." She dropped her stare to the sand, unable to look him in the eyes.

Quote:
“Leave and never come back?” those words, passing his lips, truly sank in. “That's what she's worried about....” he thought to himself. No one had ever truly voiced that fear to him before. Though he was usually on his way and gone before they really could. He wasn't sure how to react to this truth. He liked Lady, enjoyed the company he was sharing with her. Today had been one of the best he had, had in a long time, but the thought of never traveling again upset him deep down. He watched her carefully though, as she waded in the water, pacing back and fourth on the beach. He had heard her words, the words he wanted to hear from her and now he hated himself for it. “Hey, I didn't say I wanted to stop being friends...just that we should get you home, you know? So that your family doesn't worry to much. Friend or not I am certain it wont make a good impression...” he paused, stopping to stare back out at her in the water, “Going Hey Dad this is Seraphino the Stallion I stayed away from home with. I happen to value life.” he said trying to ease the tension, taking a few steps back towards the woods.

Quote:
Lady flicked the water off her tail fin and pranced over to the stallion. It seemed she was at least happy to hear that he enjoyed being friends with her, though he wasn't exactly easing her fears either. There were no definite words saying 'I wont leave forever' and this kind of left her hanging, worrying, panicking on the inside. "N-no!" she shouted finally, stomping her hoof into the sand like a child and running put quickly, biting down on his tail and tugging him to stop. "I don't wanna go him," she started with a mouth fool of hair before spitting it out and staring at the male with a determined glare. "I...I don't wanna go back home if you're not staying there with me... let me go with you! My daddy wont mind. Not at all! Please, Sera? Can't you see that I wanna be with you?" she was talking quick, in a high pitch, eyes wide and desperate.

Quote:
l He smiled as she grew close, turning he looked at her, his smile turning to a short look of almost horror as he became witness to her childish fit. Before he could say two words she had bitten down on his tail and was tugging. Slightly annoyed he tried hard not to retaliate. He could feel his more cruel side wanting to take control of the situation. Everything would be fixed if he just made her go away, he thought to himself as he shook his head, his other inside voice telling him he could very well regret it. Not only did he have some emotional investment that he was trying to keep hidden, but if she was this crazy over going home, who knows what she would do if he just shattered her and walked away. He had his own share of crazy women and this was no different. Letting out a loud bray, almost in a warning. Jerking his body, not caring much about his tail, he stomped his foot. “How would you like it if I bit down and tugged on your tail?” he said as he leaned his head forward snapping his jaws hard at her tail. “Your going home Lady. That is settled and I wont hear another word about it.” his tone was much more serious now. “But I will go home with you tonight and stay. Apparently there are things we need to discuss.”

Quote:
What she was execpting was certainly not what happened next. When he snapped at her she shuffled back, jerking her tail far from his chomping teeth in fear that he might take a chunk out of her delicate fin. It hurt Lady to see him like this, short tempered. "I... I would not like it at all..." she answered, thinking it was what he expected. There were no such things as retorical questions to this girl. When he announced that she was going home and this was final she swallowed hard, feeling a large lump forming in her throat as her tears began to sting all the more. She had never cried so much in her life and was starting to think maybe her eyes were broken. For somebody who she was trying so desperately to keep around he did hurt her more than anybody else she had ever met. She turned her eyes down to the ground, staring intensely and wishing she could just bolt, making a run for home to cry to her daddy, but her hooves were glued to the sad. Heavy with sadness. Though, the next words that left his mouth caused her to instantly flick her eyes up towards Seraphino, confused slightly. "Y-you will?" she asked cautiously and without so much as thinking about the reasons she approached him, nuzzling against his neck with her soft muzzle. "Thank you thank you thank you..." Any smart female probably would have realized he was still upset and yet she was to dull to realize this and just wanted to smother him in her thanks.

Quote:
She was crying again. Great...he thought to himself as her water works continued to pour, tiny droplets falling unto the sand. How....how do they always know how to make you feel like a young newborn foal with nothing more than a flurry of tears. “Hey...hey don't cry come on...I thought we had this conversation earlier about you and tears.” By the time he managed to ease his face to a softer look she has already preformed her 360 now nuzzling against his neck, thanking him. He gave her an awkward look but closed his eyes, the feel of her against him sending small shivers down his spine. Exhaling loudly he leaned his head down against her's. For the moment, he was just taking in the smooth feel of her skin, feeling her heart beat deep in her throat. “You don't have to thank me Lady. It wouldn't be right if I didn't escort you home. It also gives me more time with you, rather than sending you off alone. No? See there is no reason to be worried.” He was trying hard to reassure her for now.

Quote:
Lady pressed her face against the soft pelt of the stallion, taking this moment to catch her breath and all her tears on his fur. She sniffled, clearing her nose before blinking the last of the salt water from her eyes. "More time..." she repeated in a happy voice, or at least happier than it previously was two seconds ago. "Yeah, I like time with you~" she finally gave out a sing song voice like how she usually did, signalling that everything was fine now that she got her way. He was coming home and staying the nigth with her, just like Lucky wanted all along. When he told her not to be worries she only giggled and nodded, "Not now. Come on, I'm sure my daddy is already asleep by now... BUT you can meet him in the morning when we wake up. Come on Sera, come on!" she cooed at him walking off but draping her tail over his neck so that she could lead him. She very much liked draping her tail around him. It seemed to satisfy her clingy-ness without having to be right by his side all the time. Plus, the feel of her delicate, thin fin cradling the back of his neck, brushing against his soft mane sent shivers down her spine like nothing else could.

Quote:
He smiled, trying hard to ignore the flood of confusing and yet dirty minded thoughts that were filling his mind as her tail draped around his neck, the fins gently twitching as she moved. This mare was going to be the death of him, he thought as he followed her. His eyes periodically breaking from the watch of her hips moving back and fourth to that of the landscape. Taking it all in trying to set it in his mind, in case he ever needed to find his way back, or worse away from where he was going. “So tell me...is it just you and your father at home? I wont be killed when I wake up in the morning will I? If he finds me there....” His mind was busy thinking about how this next stage of their adventure was going to prove deadly for him.

When she heard him speaking she instantly looked over her shoulder, as if she had been waiting for him to say something. This girl was just far to eager for any sort of conversation between them. "Oh, my daddy and I? Well, it's just me and him most of the time, like tonight." When he asked if he'd get killed Lady couldn't help but give a sudden giggle, silenced quickly with a snort, thinking he wouldn't like it if she laughed at him for his concerned. "Sera-ra~ My daddy couldn't hurt a fly. He'll love you, I promise." She finally lead him to a nice clearing where she could see a slight glow off in the distance. "Oh, there he is... my daddy..." she stopped for a moment and gave Sera a reassuring smile, because it looked as though he needed it. "Come on, don't be afraid. I think he's sleeping anyway," she urged him on and together they walked towards the glow. There was rave, sound asleep and snoring a bit. Lady giggled and leaned down, giving a small lick to her dad's cheek before stepping a few yards away and laying down, "Here Sera. Right here is good, yeah?" she spoke in a hushed tone, not wanting to wake her father.

Quote:
Seraphino was taken back for a moment looking at the stallion laying before them resting in the night. His pelt blended him into the darkness of the night. The only things telling that he was even there at all was the bright colors of his legs and mane. He stared at him for a moment, watching Lady move quietly around him and beckon Seraphino to her. As he walked by, he moved as quietly as he could trying hard not to be heavy footed. Growing close, he looked Rave over as he passed, trying to size him up. Walking up to Lady he leaned his head down to hers, gently nuzzling against hers as he flopped down beside her. His breath quickly catching in his throat as he hoped that he didn't wake her father. “He's going to love me right into a grave.” he whispered as he scooted closer to her.

Quote:
Lady watched as Seraphino closely as he stared at her father. She wasn't entirely sure why he was trying to get a good look. "Come on silly. You can meet him in the morning." Her innocent and naive mind drew it out to be some sort of eagerness the other stallion was having. Just that thought alone made her excited about the morning. When he finally came over and nuzzled her she was all to quick to lean into the touch, humming happily at the warmth. When he collapsed beside her she squirmed closer the best she was capable of and was keen on listening to his soft whispers. "Sera..." she spoke back in an eqaully soft voice, "why do you keep saying things like that? He's really nice... honestly..." she nodded and leaned in to comfort her friend, giving a nudge, "maybe he'll even be happy you spent the night. He... um... he knows how I have trouble keeping friends..." She spoke a bit self concously.

Quote:
“You? Trouble keeping friends? Nah, your quite special enough I find it hard to believe that you have no friends. Surely you have some?” he said quizzically. He had noticed she was an overly friendly mare. The thought that she had no friends baffled him. Could she really relate to me in that manner? He thought to himself. Looking over and gently chewing at her hair, playfully tugging. This was nice to him. It had been so long since he laid beside someone, anyone. He closed his eyes for a moment taking in her feel, smell, and warmth. “I just feel that many parents dislike me and if I am to keep you around...It would be best if your parent liked me, no?”

Quote:
The thought that Seraphino was attempting to make Lady feel as though it was a shocking idea that she had no friends was nice. In fact, she actually started to believe him. "I know, right? I don't know what it is... I just... once I meet before never come back... maybe I'm just not... memorable enough?" She began to ponder ideas on how she could be more assertive and stick out to other soquili. Though, she was rather distracted by the way he nipped at her short mane, tugging playfully. A small giggle came from her lips and she leaned away, saving her mane from being nommed to death before leaning in and giving his own mane a tug. She had forgotten all about how before he was over protective of his braid. Though, maybe now would be different? It wasn't certain. When he asked about keeping her around she widened her eyes. "For good?" she beamed, visibly glowing from happiness. "If keeping me around is something you worry about then you're worrying for nothing. Dude, Sera... relax... I don't see how anybody could hate you... you're just so... loveable!" she spoke in an excited whisper, licking his cheek, and yet unlike the other times she began to feel this sort of knot forming in her stomach, causing her hooves to tingle.

Quote:
Seraphino gave her a quick, yet small dirty look as she tugged at his hair. He was going to let her get away with it for now, as long as her playfulness didn't cause his braid to shake loose. This was comfortable for him, laying beside her, in the dark with nothing but their playfulness and whispers. “People dislike me, they dislike me because I don't stay around.” he gave a small, uneasy laugh. “Though I am glad you seem to think that I am loveable. Though I will definitely say you are much, more loveable and easier to get along with then I am. You have this wonderfully tedious way about you. A very interesting innocence to you.. It's a little refreshing.” he said with a small smile.

Quote:
Lady listened to him, finally letting his hair fall from her lips. She laid her head beind his neck, resting on his shoulders as she curled against him tighter. She was starting to feel sleepy, though she fought it with everything she had. "Mm, but you are staying around..." she reminded him as if he was being silly for forgetting such an important thing. "Sera, I think you're more than just loveable," she whispered softly to him, her voice growing slower and thicker with sleep. "You're super addicting Seraphino. Mmm, never gonna let you go," she hummed before yawning.

Quote:
Addicting? He thought to himself as he tried not to move his head to much, the feel of her head draped across his shoulders. He closed his eyes for a moment, her yawn, causing a chain reaction. He hadn't realized how tired he was till that moment. His body sore from the day's busy moments, the feel of her body moving against his. Her words of him staying around we're floating about in his head. His mind full of happiness and sadness, worry and carelessness. These were all issues to be laid out at another time. For now, he closed his eyes, giving a soft whinney to her lick as he whispered, “Sweet dreams Lovely Lady.” Curling his neck to lick her cheek before drifting off.

Quote:
Lady was slipping, dozing off every few seconds before forcing her eyes open just to stay conscious. She wasn't ready to fall asleep. At least not in the sense that she wanted to. This day had been far to enjoyable and she never wanted it to end but it was the middle of the night and Lady was sort of a big baby still and needed early bedtimes. When her beloved friend wished her sweet dreams and shifted, just enough to lick her cheek she felt that familiar knot tighten in her stomach. Something told her it wasn't going away anytime soon, and oddly enough, she was okay with that. "Sweet dreams to you too Sera-ra," she cooed his name softly, finally allowing her eyes to remain shut as she dripped off to lala land. As if the day hadn't been wonderful enough her dreams seemed to continue their activities. Fantasies of having all sorts of fun with her new found friend. Though, something felt strange. Perhaps stronger than friendship even.
