Basically, there's a game I've played before called 'Murder' that I've found to be awesome fun. Sooo, Lone suggested that if I liked it so much, I should just bring it over here and have Nirvani characters be used in it as a side fun game! You can only have one character each inside a single game and, really, post size doesn't matter here. This is more of a relaxed, quick, side thing than anything. It, of course, doesn't affect the actual RP in any way! So, let's carry on with the rules, shall we?
-totallycopyandpastedmostofthisfromtheoriginalMurderthread-The Rules Firstly, if you have questions within the game, review the rules or PM the proctor - we don't want anyone figuring out who is and isn't the killer.Keep in mind, while the proctor participates in the role play, the proctor cannot be the killer nor can they be killed. When the proctor decides there are enough players (Usually five or more people, excluding the proctor) the game is closed from participants. The proctor will randomly choose a killer using their awesome favorite random generator. If you are the killer, you will be pm'd. If you do not receive a pm from the proctor, then you are a civilian. The killer will pm the proctor with who they will kill. The proctor will in turn pm the victim and inform them they are dead. The victim must immediately post a "death post," and then they can no longer post in the game.Do not PM any of the other players during the game or, if you do, don't tell them what you are. D< That's cheating, yo.After the first victim is killed, the civilians can accuse someone as the killer. They should do this within the role play in character. The killer cannot strike until an accusation is resolved. If a civilian makes a correct accusation, then the civilians have won.If they are incorrect, the accuser must die, and post a standard death post. The killer can't kill again until there have been three posts after a "death post," whether the death was inflicted by a killer or by a wrong accusation. If the killer continues to murder until there is only one civilian left, then the killer has won. (Remember, the proctor does not count as a civilian.)The game is wrapped up with the killer's post, either vocally explaining their reasoning or stating it somewhere - come on, folks, everyone's got a reason~ ;DAh, also, to join, just post the character you want in! 8D When we have at least five users involved, then~ We can start~ >w>The first death will always be a random NPC to signify the beginning of the game~! The Stats Name: Romane Bissette // User: Serend S T A T U S: ProctorName: S. Reinbach // User: Lone/Zem S T A T U S: DeadName: Mei Hwa Li // User: Loli S T A T U S: AliveName: Gemma Rhodes // User: Osaka S T A T U S: AliveName: Milly Parker // User: Anji S T A T U S: AliveName: Crimson Skizo // User: Seryn S T A T U S: DeadName: Eleanor Vatonage // User: Fanta S T A T U S: AliveThe tacky Plot It's the annual Masquerade! Yes, he's doing it again – don't blame Gaston for having such a short memory for the unimportant things like those old stains that were bleached out seasons ago on his carpet.. Anyway, as expected, it's not really the most popular event as, well, not everyone has the gift of idiocy that the mayor has, so to remedy that and give Gaston some beautiful, graceful fun like he so badly wanted, he sent out his armed knights to arrest and drag some guests in for his amusement. The doors have been locked and barricaded, the windows all barred and covered in barbed wire as per the request of a certain officer, and the lights.. well, power just went out. Could anyone expect any differently? Oh, well.
Welcome, one and all, to the Masquerade! The Score

♺Game 1 :: Begin!♺ (( >'D Go ahead and post casually until the first murder~ ;D No black out until then! :'O ))
The festival was on~! Romane was dressed in her usual uniform and standing in the perfect posture she was normally seen in -- all in all, Romane looked just as she would on any other day in Nirvani. Though, she was the sole officer on duty that day - why? Because Rachel and Jonathon both had excuses not to show at some silly get together at the mayor's mansion. Though.. She did strongly suspect they were sleeping together somewhere, much to her disdain. Not that she would leave her post to find out, but that didn't stop her from thinking it.

Reinbach was as happy as a man like him could be! Standing on top of the stairs, he couldn't help but giggle over the little party they were having! Not many people had been kidnapped[/stirke] showed up, but it was still good! They had the Harvest Goddess of a few years back and most of all, Crimson! Of course, he didn't care much about the man himself, but his hair! Ah! His hair! They reminded him of the gracious.. uh.. female dog...that was with him... what was her name again? Oh, he would rename her Biere Blanche! Yes! A name fitting of a wonderful animal like that! A bit slim, tho... Oh, that could be changed easily... But for now, he would need to concentrate with Crimson. He pointed one of the servants to take the bigest, fastest food to the redhaired man! He needed to gain some weight. Or be naked. He would be happy with any of the two.

Gemma looked around curiously, wondering where the heck she was. She had been having a rather good time while taking a stroll, when everything suddenly went really dark. Hands and arms were gripping her around her body, she had noted. But, they weren't rough with her at all. And rightly so! She didn't struggle, not in the least, because that's what got people hurt in those kinds of situations. And when she was released, in some mansion of some kind, the man had disappeared before she could ask why she was taken. "I wonder if I should be scared right now..." Gemma said softly, her eyes closing to slits as she looked to the side. Like this: >_>
Oh, look, Crimson was right over there! And that crazy cop Matthew had told her to avoid was here, too. Aside from them, there was a girl with pretty white hair, those two women she saw every time she went to the clinic, and the Mayor's idiot brother. This was probably the most random people trail mix combination she'd ever seen! And now started wondering why she was chosen among the people here. She, however, huddled over to where Crimson was. Appropriately looking around like the situation would demand, "Crimson, you've lived her longer than I have, what's going on?" She asked, her hand on his arm. She wasn't exactly scared, just a little worried as to why they were barricaded in.

Usually Mei liked any excuse she got to wear a pretty dress and feel fancy and ladylike, but this definitely wasn't the way she had wanted it to happen. She had been looking forward to a quiet evening with Catrina -- as quiet as it could get when the young girl was involved -- but that's definitely not how the day ended up. And so now she stood in what seemed to be a party of sorts, standing awkwardly off by herself, her hands folded neatly in front of her. She glanced around the room -- she recognized faces from around town at work, but she didn't know any of them personally or well enough to go over to speak with them. Ah -- Milly was here! ...But she didn't want to cling to her coworker with that. And so she shifted uncomfortably and stared down at her feet.
She had a surprisingly high tolerance for strange situations like this. Working with Mao and living with Catrina, she wasn't unused to her day completely becoming something different. But that didn't mean that she wasn't used to it. She still remembered the Masquerade, quite vividly, and the similarities between the two made her tense and worry. She didn't know what she would do if there were a repeat. But security was probably even tighter this time, right? She hoped so. Oh she hoped so.

Crimson had no bloody idea what in the hell was going on. He looked around the space that he had been thrown and saw a few people. None of which he had really ever spoken to. Well, Gemma aside. But, she was a completely different story. He was about to make his way over to her, but she had beat him to it and was now standing next to him with her hand on his arm. Well, that was comforting. He smiled over to her, knowing that even though this entire thing was eerie, he needed to be the strong man type. "I really don't know, love. But, I'll protect you." He kept the smile on his face and continued to look around.
Surely there would be some kind of clue as to what in the world was happening. Who in their right mind kidnapped an entirely random group of people and took them to their house?! Well, there was that one freak a few seasons back, was he striking again? His mind then flashed back to a horror film he saw ages ago. Five people were pitted together because they were connected somehow. His mind then started racing over ways they were all connected. Maybe if he was the smartest of them all, him and Gemma could survive. Was it awful that he didn't care about the others? Nah, survival of the fittest.

Milly was still rather upset at practically being forced to attend this event. These sorts of things really weren't her thing. And besides, she had enough with being bossed around by Mao when she was at work. She didn't need to be bossed around by the Mayor as well. And after all of the gossip she had heard from the NPCs who kept the hospital and it's employees from gathering cobwebs, she really didn't want to be locked in the Mayor's Mansion. Yeesh, it could be the name of a horror film.
She wrapped her arms around herself to rub the goosebumps that thought had given her away. Luckily at that moment she spotted a familiar face and all thoughts of horror and the Mayor fled. Milly picked up the skirt of her dress and made her way over to her coworker Mei. "Mei!" She exclaimed half happy half relieved. "I wasn't sure I would know anybody here and as bad as it sounds I'm glad to see you." She wouldn;'t wish this place or this event on anyone, least of all sweet, timid Mei. But she was happy to have someone she knew here. "You look very pretty, by the way."

-Eleanor Vatonage-
To be horribly naive must be a bliss. Eleanor had been oddly interested in the little masquerade, if only because the last one turned out so well~ Well wasn't the right word, but hey, her husband basically proposed to her there so it might as well have for her. Ellie was aware of what had happened, but since it didn't scar her for life, well she just pushed that aside. Everything would be fine. Right?

(( Okay! 8D Black out now! Also, NPC is first death (as will always be the case)~! >w> So.. say good bye to.. D'< ))
It seemed as though everyone was gathered as they should be.. Good. Romane didn't have very many to really watch over that night, which helped ease her nerves some. After the last masquerade, it was needless to say that she wasn't a little on edge about the mayor's idea of hosting another one - but, she couldn't oppose the man being just an officer. As much as she disliked him referring to her and her partner as just his 'bodyguards', they may as well be. Politicians - always such - "Ah.." Her thoughts were intruded on abruptly as the lights suddenly flicked off at once, forcing them all into total darkness for a few minutes.. Until Romane remembered she had a flashlight on her belt. She took it off when the thought occured to her and flicked it on, flashing it around as she spoke as loud as she could to the gathered group, "It is unnecessary to be alarmed; it appears to be a simple - ...ah.." She swallowed and stopped once again as her light came across something.. disturbing. Some short distance away from them all, on the stairs for whatever reason, was one Gaston Sonata - quite obviously dead. Or sleeping in an unusual position with his eyes open and partway down the stairs.. Right, that wasn't going to work.

Gemma's lips tugged downward when Crimson said he didn't know, letting out the little hopeful breath of relief she had been holding. It was not relieved, however. Turning her head down and away, she looked over the crowd, dropping her hand away from his arm. But, then he said the most oddest thing she'd ever heard. 'Protect me? Protect me from what?' Gemma thought, not understanding what she needed to be protected from-- oh, wait! A hot flash of an elephant at the Beach at the Beach Day Festival made itself very apparent in her head.
But, she had to scrap up what little pride she had and say something brave. "I work under Judith, Crimson, I'm pretty much invulnerable to fear!" She said a little too enthusiastically, but whatever. She was sure Crimson knew about Judith, too. She'd told him a little about her, and aside from that, he's spoken with her on the phone, probably. That whole job day thing with the students, she remembered. She knew she saw Crimson on the list, remembering her gentle chuckle when his assigned student said he had a funny accent, and that he was very tall.
But none of this could be fully appreciated, as the lights suddenly went out. Gemma tensed at the brief shock, sucking in a very sharp breath. Her mind ordered her body to reach out for the much bigger man, Crimson, but her body didn't obey. Just clenched her fists into even tighter little balls at her side. She was a little glad that her hand wasn't on Crimson, that would not have been a pleasant squeeze to his forearm. Once the little stream of light came on, she relaxed a little. She opened her mouth to say something after she managed to get over the insane trepidation she felt, but it was all for naught. The dead body of Gaston Sonata was not a pretty picture. Both her hands went up to cover her mouth, feeling nausea at the scene before all of them.
Unseen to most of them, she turned her back to the corpse. She couldn't see anymore. Maybe it was the fact that she'd soon be facing things like this more often than she thought, or something else. But, for now, she just couldn't face the fact that she had been snatched from reality and placed into some nightmare. All of these people in for the ride... unbeknownst to her then, except one.
So much for being invulnerable to fear!
