Flying, Falling, and Love
We fly with the open wing,
But what we are flying towards is unpredictable.
Does love compulsively swing or sing?
Do we expect to find love approvable?
We fly and then we fall.
Then the dark days came,
And I regret it all.
The letter, the thought, and the talk was lame,
But life moved on and I hardly looked back.
New school and new friends somewhere I could start over,
I was just looking for regular friends and I was on the right track.
I met you Tina, at first I was just a friend of Stephen's who said, "Do you love her?"
We've only known each other for a year and when we were close I didn't get to tell you
I'd tell you myself, maybe when it's just us two.
