I yanked this idea from serenesforest.net as usual and you probably know where this is going, I give out a hint, and you guess. However, every wrong guess one makes, it is the person with the answer's job to supply a new hint at their discretion (ie: if four people guess before the current person with the answer gives a new hint, he or she can choose to give out as much or as little amount of hints as they want) and once one guesses the character, it is their turn to ask a question.
Oh, and for future causes (although with nice kids like you, I'm not seeing it happening) don't be a p***k and say to yourself (yourself and only yourself of course, not to everyone you silly cat!) "I pick Ishtar" and when someone guesses Ishtar, change it, it makes the game impossible. D;

Captain is very loyal to the monarch, I'm not so much, my companions lived simple lives before and will continue to after the war.

So, either Blazing Blade, Sacred Stones, Path of Radiance, or Radiant Dawn... a group of mercenaries... probably from either Lady Lyndis's Mercenaries, Greil's Mercenaries, or Gerik's mercenaries... different from my companions... bad weapon type..... Gerik? He's loyal to Joshua's mom (Queen of Jehanna), and is paired up with Tethys and Marisa, making him different from his companions, as he is a guy with two female partners.

Swords as a bad weapon type? I think I'm missing something here.. (subtle hint: doesn't use swords)
Close (ish) on Boyd, as in right weapon type.
In the games I appear in, my hair style has not been changed once, just the way I'm facing has.

Got it a member of Greil's Mercenaries without a sword (for the record swords were the only unfitting description of Gerik. I f'ing love swords, although the super mages are also good, especially Super Pupil Ewan)
So my options are Titania, Soren, Rolf, Rhys, Boyd, Oscar, Shinon, and Gatrie
Of those, Titania isn't much different because Mia is also female, and Oscar is also a Paladin
Rolf and Shinon are archers, so that eliminates them
Boyd, Oscar, and Rolf are brothers and are all capable of using bows (Triangle attack ftw)
gonna have to guess Gatrie. Knights generally are cannon fodder, but I hear he's really good

Gatrie doesn't use axes and I didn't say Greil Mercenaries. IIRC, Gatrie was only a mercenary for the money, not for Elincia, however, I do admire your logic on that, that was a great guess.
After the war, my disloyalty towards the Kingdom of _______ really shined when I quit my job they gave me to become a p _ _ _ _ _.
