Okay, I'm getting my braces this thursday.
And I play the tuba.
Now, i know braces really effect the way someone plays. But what does it do for a low brass player?
I'm really good, and im scared that ill be really bad at playing. But any tips to get used to it?
And since I play Tuba, my band directors say itll be easier then most.
I just wanna know what you think.

I play trombone, and only had to miss two days of playing when my braces were put on. With you playing the tuba, I would think you'd only have to miss maybe 1 day of playing, if any at all. You may be able to play without having braces affect you at all.

Tuba is probably the easiest the instrument to play after getting dental work because the mouthpiece don't really rest on your teeth like a trumpet or any smaller instument does

All the same, though, your embouchure will change. The same thing will happen if you end up getting your wisdom teeth out. It just takes some adjusting to how your mouth is.
