Okay, some of you may or may not care, but this is a major thing for the US at least.
Osama Bin Laden has been killed and is US hands by the last thing I've heard.. I'm seriously surprised and taken back by this cause its so random. There has been no major effort to increase the look for him and all.
Not saying I'm not at least happy about it, the man was a terrorist not only to the US but many other countries if not the world. Its just that '......' type of moment. You don't know what to do or say except wonder what's next now.

It was only a matter of time, honestly. Whether he died of natural causes or was killed as the result of a strategic operation is a different story.

I'm kind of shocked that it took this long to actually get him confirmed dead so it's not really a win-win since no one really won anything (we aren't getting a trial from it and it won't effect the war really).

I'm glad he's dead, but other than that, I don't believe anything else will change [much].

I agree with uranus. It would have been interesting to see some sort of trial come out of this. Wouldn't seeing him be convicted of his crimes and rotting in jail give more satisfaction to the victims family?
I must say that the first thing that went through my mind when I found out was: well obama that's one hell of a way to start of your new champaign trail. I think you just won yourself the next election. ♥

I'm not sure this would win him the next election, there is too much talk and too much going on in the republicans and democrats who hate what he hasn't (and has) done. Yes, some stand by him, but there is many who don't like what he has done as he hasn't kept any of his promises or words.
That's just my opinion though.
I do agree though, that now that this is done, now what? Like I said. I said it perfectly to my friend, lol. Now that he is dead, we stay in Afgan and keep fighting. Nothing's going to change, nothing is going to be different. We just killed one of the major leaders and that is all.
My biggest issue is...lets give some d*** credit to who did it, not freaking obama. He's not the one who charged downrange, he's not the one who pulled the trigger, he didn't go through the hardship of a firefight. The Freaking man needs to get over himself and give credit to who it rightfully belongs to, not himself ><
My rant is over with, please do not flame me or attack me for my words. this is what i believe and what i see and as a veteran once in the army, i feel he is taking all the credit where credit isn't due.

Death of bin Laden won't change any ******** thing. There'll just be another leader, who retaliates by making another devastating terrorist act at the US. It's the circle of violence, that keeps on feeding itself.
