Source.Regardless of political affiliation, no matter how long it took, I think we can all agree that the psychopathic monster is gone.

The second I opened this thread, my roomie turned on the television and I heard it. Also, I can hear several people outside my window shouting "NO MORE TERRORISM, WOOOOOOO"

Holy s**t, 'bout damn time that royal son of a b***h kicked the bucket.
Does this finally mean the war on terror will end soon and we can pull the troops home?
That remains to be seen, I guess, but this gives me new hopes. Eh, who am I kidding...

Eh. He is dead. There will be someone to take over his position. Same system as us. President is killed, VP. VP is axed, Speaker of the Senate (methinks) and so on. We got a major kill, yes. However we need to make sure it stops here. Terrorism isn't over, I can see a retaliation strike happening though. Nothing as significant as 9/11 though.
Facebook and the News was rather annoying however. OSAMA LOLOLOLOL HE DEAD OLOLOLOL MAYBE GAS PRICES WILL DROP OLLOLOL.
Shut up, this won't change anything over a long period. This will change for now, but life will return to the olden ways in no time. Just like Haiti, Japan, and now Osama.

I was actually more annoyed at the ILLUMINATIx9001 posts that some dude kept spamming in the chat, but then again, I'm just like that when it comes to conspiracy theories.

The War on Terror probably won't end very soon. Osama may be dead, but Al-Qaeda still has a leader, and there is the danger of a retaliation. Also, Al-Qaeda isn't the only group targeted in the War on Terror, there are others, including the Taliban, although I'm not up to date on how things are going with those guys. Let's also not forget that terrorism is an abstract. It has no physical form and therefore it can never truly die. However, this doesn't change the fact that this is an important occasion and is quite a step. @Gligar: That was Saddam Hussein.

I know I'm totally terrible for giggling at these pictures, but I saw these two in the Top Notch forums equivalent of this thread and thought I'd show them.
