Physical Description: Jinketsu was a very active person when he was alive. Since he was really active, he is currently extremely fit and muscular. It would be hard to notice at first though, because a lot of his muscle isn’t really visible unless he flexes. In fact, the only clear definition he has are his abs, where he has a six pack.
He has really messy, black hair that goes down to about his eyebrows. The reason why it's so messy is because he never combs it. He believes that combing his hair would waste useless energy on something really frivolous.
His face is pretty “normal”, for the most part. The only things that are outstanding are his large, cold black eyes, stoic expression, and something else that’s in the next paragraph.
He has a scar that goes down from the middle of his left eyebrow down to about his cheek bone. He doesn’t cover it though, because he doesn’t care all that much about it or what other people think about him having it. The only reason he even thinks about sometimes is because it causes him extreme amounts of pain. The pain only happens occasionally, but when it does occur, it’s so painful that he has a hard time moving.
He wears a regular shinigami uniform, for the most part. The only changes are that he doesn’t have sleeves on his kosode. He does have a pair with sleeves though, for special occasions and other things that he may need a sleeved kosode for. He also wears a gray sash to keep his sword in place.
Personality: Jinketsu is a very reserved person. He rarely speaks unless spoken to first, unless it’s necessary for him to say something or he’s with one of his very few friends. He also tends to keep his opinions to himself because when he was alive, no one really cared about what he thought. And when he joined the military, he learned that no one really cared about his opinion unless he was asked for it. So now, he only ever gives his opinions on things when he’s asked for it, or when he’s talking with a friend.
Even though he doesn’t say much, he tries to be kind and helpful. It doesn’t always work out though, because he’s very impersonal. There’s also something about him that makes him seem distant and cold. Perhaps it’s the eyes, because some people may notice that it looks like he’s always staring off into the distance, or looking for something.
Special Accessories: Jinketsu only had one thing with him when he awoke in Rukongai. It was a bronze medal that was inside of one of his pockets. He still has it because it’s essentially all he has left of his old life, and he believes that holding on to it may help him to remember his life. On the back of the medal, “Jinketsu Hades” is scratched on.
Skills: His father taught him the way of the samurai that was secretly passed down through his family. Although his brain doesn’t remember much, his body does. So because of that, he’s proficient in using pretty much any kind of bladed weapon. Mostly swords, though. And he does have a basic understanding of the naginata, kanabo, and yumi.
He's also lacking a skill, if sight would be considered one. His left eye can’t see as well as his right eye, possibly from the same reason he has a scar. The difference between his left eye and right eye isn’t all that significant though, but it’s noticeable when he closes his right eye and tries to look at things with only his left.

Biography/History: Jin Miyazaki was born in 1920 to a World War I veteran and a nurse. His mother (the nurse) died when he was only five years old, so his father had to take care of him alone. He was a very strict parent, but he taught Jin many valuable things. For example, his father taught him the way of the samurai and also instilled within him the will to never give up. These lessons ultimately shaped the way that Jin is today.
When Jin was around 17 years old, his father died from cancer. Right before he died, he told Jin, “Be strong, for no one is going to be strong for you. Be wise, for no one is going to be wise for you. And most importantly, be happy, for no one is going to be happy for you. Goodbye, son. Please know that I’m proud of you, and I know you will do great things.”
After his dad had died, Jin went back to their home to mourn. As he entered, he noticed that there was a note on the table. The note simply said, “Check under the bed in my room.” At the end, it was signed with a “Love, Dad”. So Jin went to his father’s room and looked under the bed. He pulled out a small box that simply had the word “College” written on it. When he opened it, he saw that it was filled with money.
About four years later, Jin graduated college and decided to join the Imperial Japanese Army. He felt that he would be able to honor his father that way. That wasn’t the only reason he decided to join, though. He also liked how organized that the military looked. So right after he graduated, he was commissioned into the army.
A few years later, Jin was an experienced lieutenant in the Imperial Japanese Army. He had earned a medal during one of the battles with the Allied forces, and got the nickname “Jinketsu Hades”. He received that nickname because he was a hero to the Japanese, and fought like a demon on the battlefield.
On February 18th, his unit was moved to Iwo Jima island. There were fortifications all over the place, and the entire area looked gloomy. “So…we’re here for battle.”
“WE’RE TAKING HEAVY CASUALTIES!” A soldier screamed before
getting shot through the neck.
“Wow, that kid dropped like a sack.” Jin said to himself. He was in the middle of an intense battle with the Americans, and somehow ended up leading his unit. “Damn the Captain for dying!” He muttered under his breath as he hid behind a large rock. He scanned the area to assess the situation. “28…29….30. Alright, so I still have 30 men left. We may still win this one…wait a minute.” He paused and counted again. “s**t, only 10 are still combat effective. I guess I’ll have to do the charge…” He got up and called the 10 men over to him. “Alright, men. Do you want to die now for the Emperor, or die years later in some American prison?” All of his men said the first one. “Then you know what to do.” They all nodded and got ready while Jin took out his sword.
“BANZAI!”
Jin woke up in the middle of a grassy field. He was still wearing his military uniform, but he didn’t have any of his weapons. There was a newly formed scar going from the middle of his left eyebrow down to his left cheek bone. “Ugh, where the hell am I?” He groaned as he got up. While he was getting up, a strange man wearing a shihakusho appeared and started staring right at him. “Who…are you?” Jin asked the man. “And more importantly….who am I?” The shinigami just smiled and motioned at Jin to come to him.
“Come with me. Everything will be answered soon.”
