Stepping into a wild white world, cast in frigid temperatures and painted with ice. The wintery winds almost obscure it at first, but then you hear it. Quingfu's voice calls from a distant peak, "What stronger weather's hardship than the spirit? Certainly not the body. To achieve Immortality a soul be be balanced between the spiritual and the physical. Heaven and earth. But before they can be balanced, they need to be understood. You have been sorted here because of your spiritual aptitude. You must come to terms with your own spiritual nature."
Even as the wind howls, you can still make out the disembodied voice. "Nidan... the intimate connection of all the world's chakra... well it's not really "chakra"... but I'm sure you'll discover that in time. This principle is hinted at by the art of the Toad Sages... "senjutsu". Your chakra... my chakra... everyone and everything's chakra... past and present...is essentially the same the chakra as "the world's". You'll soon understand... chakra cannot be created or destroyed, it merely changes from one form to another. Here in this special little playground, you can see the spiritual nature of your chakra as you manifest it. I will give you... well let's call it 1 year to master this... rely on each other for that is the nature of Nidan... and Nidan is Immortality."
RP Note: This location has it's time moving at a much slower rate. 6 months passes inside for 1 hour that would pass in the outside world. That being said, your posts will probably take long spans of time. (Kinda "birds-eye-view") Of course, interaction between characters will be at a normal pace. The training to "master" Spirit (Yin or "Inton" style) is 2,500 Words. You only have 1 week IRL to do it!!! That means you must do it by May 5th, 2011!

Can a Nightmare...
Gatsuei was about to take the pin from Ichi when the world around them shifted and morphed into a freezing mountain top. Her fingers graced the top of the pin and she gently picked it up with a soft 'thank you'. A shiver ran up and down her body and she wrapped her cloak around her tighter. She was a little more tolerant of the cold coming form the village hidden in the clouds, not to say that she liked the cold, but she was a little more use to it than Ichi and probably the others as well. She pushed that thought out of her mind as she turned her back to the others and listened to what Quingfu was telling them. She wasn't sure if she understood the whole of what he was trying to tell them to do. What would manifest if they used their chakra? The jutsu itself or something else. She was a little afriad to try it, actually, but if she feared taking the first steps to improving herself she wouldn't be able to achieve her goals, to be able to make up to those she betrayed and backstabbed. She wasn't sure how things worked here exactly but she was willing to take leap of faith. Though... did it really matter what jutsu that she conjoured? She had a lot of questions, and obviously nobody to give it to her, she was sure that this was part of the challange as well. Gatsuei closed her eyes for a few moments and thought about what she... they... needed to do in order to obtain this sort of power. She let the words of Quingfu run thougth her head once more. to rely on each other... she wasn't use to that. She was use to doing everything on her own, she was an outcast to her peers, she gave up on trying to get people to like her after a while and pushed them away. Now, here she was asked to open up and trust people she didn't know, she was now offically aquainted with Ichi, but the other two, she had no idea about, and she was a little unsure of how to break the ice, or even if she could feel comfortable coming out of her shell to random people. She tilted her head to the side when Inochi spoke. Everyone seemed to be panicing a little bit... well, Ichi was, and Inochi seemed rather distant. HIs stutter made her think that he might be nervous, but she wouldn't say for sure. She didn't know him very well, so she couldn't exactly pin point what his real emotions and thoughts were. She turned back to face the rest of the group again. "Should... we get started then? If we have a year, we have it for a reason so I doubt we should spend much time with our thumbs up our asses." She turned her mask towards Inochi, who had noted the thought that he might have been there before. "Inochi... if you've been here before is there any place that you may suggest were we can get the three basics while we train? We'll need food, water and shelter if we're going to be here for a year. Once we get that, we can start to expirement and see if we can figure out what on earth we have to do in order to obtain the balance we need to suceed in her training."...Be woven into a beautiful dream?

Kazuki Habaragi
Kazuki was walking toward Ichi's group and then he was suddenly he was on some sort of mountain range that was FREAKING COLD. He noticed that both of the Anbu were still around him as well as Ichi. He listened as the Immortal Quingfu spoke about what they were here for. It was very vague however and Kazuki wasn't quite sure what he was supposed to learn here. He also wasn't too keen about staying here for a year either. Wasn't there a big army of doom heading their way? Of course they were in a place where time passed slowly but still..... This was looking like it was going to suck. He wasn't even sure if he was going to be working well either seeing as it was still FREAKING COLD. He listened to the girl speak and then the other boy who the girl called Inochi, which Kazuki figured was his name, and then Ichi answer. They were talking about some dude named Lu and Saito and how they had done training with them. Kazuki didn't know who these people were but decided not to ask, thinking it might be stupid. He did however decide to comment of their new shelter. "Thanks Ichi. I was really starting to freeze out there." He turned toward the Anbu. "Uh...I don't believe I've met either of you. I'm Kazuki Habaragi." Kazuki figured he would throw his name out to them to at least introduce himself. Otherwise this was going to be a long year together.

Can a Nightmare...
Well damn... there went that idea... but then again, what Inochi said previous was interesting - if he didn't feel hungary and only fatigue when he was here (if he was here) and if that was the case then they wouldn't need food or water. She would feel a little better if they had that sort of thing nearby just in case, but if what Inochi said was true, then finding a safe place to stay would be a must incase one of them passed out do to the exhaustion. "If that's the case, then we definately need shelter incase one of us needs a long nap. If we're caught out in this sort of wilderness and we don't have one then we might have problems. Shelter should be our top priority now. If any of you have the earth element we can make this quick and easy if we can use that to make a cave or something. I don't have the earth element, so I can't help there." Once survival was out of the way, then she could worry about her training. If they had a 'Base camp' then they could have a little privacy while they tried to figure things out of meditate a little when either frustration or mental rest from their training. Seeing as Gatsuei couldn't really sense the flows of chakra, she couldn't really sense the ebbs and flows of the chakra. She had the average Shinobi's sense when it came to things like this, so...
Gatsuei's atteniton breifly turned to the only one who's name she didn't know. He had stayed quiet for a while now and he seemed distracted from something. She wasn't sure if he was concentraiting to try and figure something out about this place, or perhaps he was just trying to get a feeling for anyone. Regardless, she debated for a few moments before deciding to leave him be for now. It was about then that the other face spoke up and introduced himself to herself and Inochi. She looked up and nodded her head. "My name is Gatsuei-anei, its... a pleasure to meet you, Kazuki." This was suppose to be the spirit land, according to Quingfu, but she wasn't exactly sure what that meant, she wanted to take a look around, explore and see what the effect of this world had on her. If she got hungar, priorities would be switched back and food and water would be put back up on the table. She might also be able to find a clue as to what she needed to do in order to suceed in this task. Gatsuei plopped down on her rear, her cloak covering her butt so it didn't get wet. She sat in a cross legged and forced herself to calm down a little and try to think about things for a moment. She closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths, she had a bad habit of loosing her patience and going off on her own. It was likely the reason that she did so many missions alone, she wouldn't fault herself for that. Things needed to get done, and if she had to do it by herself then so be it. Idleness was the enemy at times. And perhaps now was one of those times, but then again... if she rushed around she might not accomplish anything. Relax, now was the time to find a way to balance herself. If she needed to take on the physical, then she would have been sent somewhere else. Possibley where the others were. There many others who were with them in the tower, and only four of them were right here, right now.
Gatsuei had calmed herself down a little, while she was meditating, she felt something, something sinister and cruel. She looked over her shoulder at the sandwall. She felt a pull, a nagging somewhere inside of her that beconed. She could hear the wind as it screamed and howled outside of Ichi's little shelter. From under her mask, her eyes narrowed slightly. Was the wind calling her? Why was it so aggitated? Seeing as wind was her first element, she was curious to know if this was a manifestation that the charming Quingfu was talking about. She wanted to check it out. She wanted to see if this was something that she could bring back to the others and help them on their way to becoming immortals. "Hey... Ichi... would you be able to lower this sheild for a moment? There's something that I would like to check out. Thought I can wait till we get a better plan going and a Base-camp set up for ourselves." Gatsuei fell silent as she listened to the wind and tried to find that feeling again. That hair-raising siren call that she felt not long ago, but seemed to have passed by now. If it was something sinister, and if it was wanting her, she didn't want to burden the others with something that she was meant to confront. Besides... her spiritual aspect was probably really foul concidering her not so distance past and she wasn't sure if she wanted the others to see that... embarassing side of herself....Be woven into a beautiful dream?

Kazuki Habaragi
Kazuki nodded towards Gatsuei-anei. He wondered what kind of a name that was offhandedly. He did take notice of her tone of voice though. It sounded nervous. Was she naturally cautious or was she just not comfortable with everyone yet? He shrugged this off for now but kept it in the back of his mind. He shivered as the wind blew back into the sand shelter but not just from the freezing cold but also a strange voice that sounded remotely close to his seemed to speak to him through it. It whispered that it awaited him outside. This voice was unnerving to Kazuki and he felt a chill run up his spine(pardon the pun). He turned back towards Ichi though. "Building the shelter for us would be nice. Probably a good idea since its really chilly outside and we'll be here awhile." He removed his pack from the back and set it down against the wall. He felt like he needed to head out into the cold too. Though the voice seemed to say that this particular spot wasn't the right one. He needed to be closer to the sky, it said. That meant he was gonna need to travel a bit. Now he wished he had brought a cloak for warmth. "I think I'll join you outside. I'm sensing something outside......calling to me." Great now he was going to sound crazy to these guys. Good first impression.

Can a Nightmare...
"You as well then?" Gatsuei asked as Kazuki as he came along side of her to take a look outside as well. She step through the little opening that Ichi graced her with so that she could go outside and take another look around. Ichi was free to close it up after she left so that Inochi and himself didn't utterly freeze to death while she trying to figure out what was pulling on. Once she was outside and clear of the passage way so that Kazuki could get through so that he could do... whatever. Gatsuei looked around once more at the artic wasteland as the wind tossled her hair around in a chaotic dance, she brushed her hair backwards to get out away from her face. From under her mask her eyes narrowed. She wasn't sure what to make of this place, she almost felt repressed here, like there was something about this place that was rejecting her and trying to supress her. Gatsuei raised her hand up and removed her mask so that she could feel the world aroud her with her own skin, she once more had to push her hair back out of her face as she looked around. This place was so peaceful, so still and tranquil spare the wind, and even that was something that could be taken and manipulated to be peaceful and soothing. Gatsuei crossed her arms under her chest and looked dreamily out at the landscape. She wondered what Quingfu meant by the Nature of Nidan. She didn't really understand, everyone was attached to each other in this strange network that links everyone together... past, present and future. Was it something like being reincarnated? The chakra and abilities of another passed onto someone else when they came into this world. Their potental locked away within the chakra network and body. It could explain why some people had it easy when it came to learning techniques and various styles of taijutsu and why other struggled like she did. But if this was the case, what was it that decided who would have it easy and who would have to struggle for their abilities? She wouldn't be able to say for sure, but maybe those who had to struggle were the ones being tested. Those who were marked for great things needed to be prepared for the hardships that they had to endure. Maybe that was the case, or maybe everything was just randomized and the individual themselves was the things that decided what potential they had or didn't have. It was them that decided what they could achieve and what they could not. When she looked at it like that, she seemed to have twisted something else into a dark and nightmaric viewpoint.
It seemed like everything that she did up until this point was a mistake, every hatefueled blow, every conjoured nightmare in her genjutsu, and everything that she had worked, struggled for and sacrificed was for the wrong reasons. She pushed others away when she didn't have too, she lashed out at others when it wasn't necessary and she tried to oppress and dominate those who didn't share her views.... just like others had done to her. The Raikage had mentioned something like that when she was there last time, she brushed it off as self-rightous prattle from someone who thought that they understood her but didn't, but now, she was starting to see that he wasn't all that wrong. Yes, she saw things from others prespectives to some extent, but she didn't place herself in their shoes, she didn't do it because she didn't want to get attached to others and have them betray her, hurt her because her thoughts were different or because she just didn't think like they did. It happened with Kazin, in a way. It kind of hurt when he wanted her to change because she wasn't like him, he wanted her to be all smiley and happy like she didn't have a care in the world because he did, he didn't take the time to understand why she was feeling this way, but nor did she try and understand him either... granted... she saw so little of him that she didn't have a chance and that wasn't either of their fault. The escort mission for the band had made things awkward for her, with Mana gone and Kazin wanting her to be something that she was not, she felt even more alone from what little group that she had left. She didn't know how to approach people, and although Ichi was clumbsey in his corny approach in offering her a chance at friendship it still meant a lot to her, especially after what she had done to him. He forgave her for her transgressions to him. Now... if only everyone else she needed to do that to was going to be that easy to please.
Gatsuei moved over and leaned agianst the wall, she readjusted her cloak before crossing her arms under her chest again. The numbing cold seemed to lessen and the wind was starting to calm down slightly. She wondered how far she had gone and how close she had come to utter self destruction and madness? Once more her thoughts were weaving their chaotic dance macabre; just like in the prison cell after she was... well, kidnapped was the right word but it was the closest she could think of... after she was kidnapped by the ANBU, she found herself wondering if she would ever truely expereince what so many others allowed themself to feel. She supposed that it would be up to her in the end. She did want to be loved by another like how Kiko and Ichi seemed to be in love, she wondered what that was like... she wondered how it felt to have your mood so directely influenced by someone else's mood that every hurt inflicted on them was inflicted on you as well? What was it like, she pondered, to have moments where you felt utterly safe when you were in someone else's arms? She turned her head to look back over her shoulder at the dome of earth that Ichi created and once more thougth back to Kishi. She wanted to have that loonie do that obnoxious laugh and pat her on the head with a quick quip and a something obnoxiously charming to say. When he took off that last time before she left for the sound village, it tore her heart out and she still feared that she would never see him again. She still wanted to see him, if only to let him laugh that obnoxious laugh at her and tell her how badly she screwed up this time, or maybe even how proud he was of her for becoming an immortal. She wanted to breath in that cabbage and candy smell one more time before she died. Kishi... he was the first to accept her and she found it kind of ironic that she was thinking of him when she was suppose to try and find purity. That tender and awkward moment they shared when she gave him that sandwich was something that she would never forget. Oh she longed to see him once more, just one more time to tell him she was sorry for screwing up so badly. Then again, maybe she would have to. Was this love, that she felt, or was it something of an admiration that she was warping and blowing out of proportion? Anything was possible in her mind anymore, she supposed.
Gatsuei closed her eyes and pushed the thoughts of something that could never be out of her head and tried to add some order to the chaos that was storming around up their. She needed to think of how she was suppose to create balance within her soul. She didn't really know where to start, she had an idea of what she needed to do in order to do it.... she thought... but then again, nothing might be as simple here. Wherever hear was. She looked at the sun, and its position in the sky. She needed a place to think, she wanted to explore and be alone for a while, but she had others who were with her and she was appart of a team, she didn't feel right just abandoning them suddenly, if she caused worry then the others might try looking for her and skip out on their own training while looking for her. That was neither fair to them nor was it going to help anyone situation, they needed immortals... how many she didn't know, but they needed them and they needed them fast. Gatsuei raised her arm and knocked on the side of the dome, requesting to be let in so that she could tell the others what she was hoping to accomplish and how she wanted to accomplish it, if they wanted her to stay close she would respect that, but she was an intervert, she found the best thing to clean out and cleanse the mind was quiet alone time. If she did that in bits and pieces many she could find that thing that allowed her to transend mortality and become what she needed to be in order to save the world, Humankinds desires, were her desires... that was what her goals had evolved into and that was what she was hoping to accomplish still. However, she needed wisdom and clarity for that. Something that would come with immortality....Be woven into a beautiful dream?

 Kazuki Habaragi
Kazuki nodded to her as he followed her out of the sand shelter. "Yeah....it is....." He stopped speaking as he heard the voice speak to him again. He spoke again after it stopped, but his voice sounded strange, like he was in a daze. "It's telling me to go up there." He pointed toward the top of the mountain they were on. Since everyone could see chakra, Gatsuei-anei could see a glow of yellow up near the top.
Kazuki wondered whether he should head up there now. Should he forgo the others company until he mastered this "nature of Nindan" thing? Was that really wise right now? The voice seemed to read his thoughts and respond to them. It didn't matter what his choice was but he needed to come up here. He shook his head. No. He should wait first. At least let everyone know if he was going to leave them so they wouldn't worry. He turned back with Gatsuei-anei as she knocked on the sand to be let back in. He wanted the others opinion first before he made a decision that would affect them. He didn't want them worrying about him for the fact that he was suddenly missing and that he had just wandered off into the snow following a voice. Goodness he must sound really insane to this girl right now. If he was in her shoes he would have definitely ran the other direction.

Can a Nightmare...
Indeed, if Gatsuei didn't feel the pull of something as well, she would have thought this young man beside of her out of his mind. His tone indicated that he wasn't lying to her, and they were here for a purpose, maybe that purpose required him to go where the light he saw was... to be honest, she couldn't see it, maybe there was something wrong with her chakra or maybe she was just visually impared when it came to chakra and the so forth lights that seemed to becon. Gatsuei turned to Kazuki and tilted her head softly. "Then perhaps you should go and find out what's calling to you and why. We are here for a reason and maybe yours is presenting itself in an obvious manner. I was going to wander around a little bit too, if you would like, you can go ahead, and I'll let the others know where your going when I tell them my plans for travel as well. I don't know how much time it'll take to master this Nidan. But if yours is calling for you already, then maybe you should head out right away so that you can get started. I don't know if any of the others will want to go with you, but I'm sure that they will be able to find it easy enough if they need you, am I wrong? Though I might be the only one with that line of thinking, lets go in and warm up quickly before we go out." Gatsuei looked over her shoulder again, she wondered if Ichi even heard her knock or if the sand barrier was just too thick for something as light as what she did to travel though. She wasn't about to just up and leave without saying anything, like she thought before, that might lead to panic amongst the others and it could interupt their training and purification. She thought things for a few more minutes until her toes were starting to feel the bite of the winter winds. Gatsuei wondered if Ichi had left the sand a little softer for them to come in again, if he did that, and hardened it enough so the weather didn't get through that would have solved both problems. She felt the spot where she came out and with a little effort she was able to push her hand through. She followed her hand into the dome again, then moved out of the doorway so if Kazuki wanted to come in her wouldn't fall on top of her and be the source of amusements for the others. Gatsuei took a seat on the other side of Ichi. She inhaled deeply and sighed a little. Closing her eyes for a moment. "Alright... I'm not sure if you reached a decision about what to do while we were out there, but... how about this; Kazuki has someplace that he really feels he needs to go, and I would like to look around a little bit. There might be clues here to how we can succeed in what we were sent here for. Ichi, why don't you make us a cave here and this will be our 'Basecamp' if we have to split up for whatever reason or we leave to go on our spiritual purification journey we'll meet back up here when we're finished or in one years time. Does that sound like a plan to everyone?" There was a pause. "I think that I'll be leaving shortly to take a better look around. If I find a place that might be a little better suited for our purposes I'll come back here."...Be woven into a beautiful dream?

Kazuki Habaragi
Kazuki listened to Gatsuei and nodded. "I like that idea. Could you let the others know what I'm doing? I think it would help if you guys didn't worry about me, especially since we all need to focus here." He watched as she turned and went back inside the shelter. He smiled and turned his attention back to the voice calling to him. It was time to find out what this was all about. He began to trek towards the top of the mountain, the voice encouraging him towards itself.
