Alright, with the new Batman film coming out and Anne Hathaway being the new Selina Kyle/ Catwoman, that leaves me with a question to ask you all. Who in your opinion did Catwoman ( Not Selina Kyle because of Patience Phillips aka Halle *Evil glare at that film* ) justice live action wise? I will be posting up videos of the contestants shortly. Can't add Anne yet because we have yet to see what she can do, but here we go, lol.

In my opinion I think Michelle Pfeiffer did the role justice. I loved Tim Burton's films of Batman before Nolan's hit the theaters and swept Box Office which is why I have high hopes for Anne, but anyway I feel Tim Burton captured the entire concept of Catwoman except for the resurrection thing of what Catwoman is supposed to be about: Dark, beautiful, and that whole mystery about her. Anywho, what are your thoughts after you see these clips or who have you always loved? If I didn't post any scenes you liked. Feel free to voice your opinion and show the clip you like. After all, this is a discussion topic, lol.

Here are the contestants!! XD!!!

Julie Newmar: ( Loved her for being the first Catwoman live action wise )
Scene One
Scene Two

Eartha Kitt ( Yzma from Emperors New Groove) R.I.P. crying : *Coughs* Way better than that Halle Berry crap *coughs*
Scene One
Scene Two

Michelle Pfeiffer ( XDDD *Hugs Tim Burton and Michelle for this* Loved every aspect of the film except for Penguin...you slob >.> ) Got four scenes I liked the most from her in this film and the fact this was a high grossing film for Batman until Dark Knight swept it by storm. Anyway, lol

Scene One
Scene Two
Scene Three
Scene Four

Halle Berry: *Fake smile for tolerance* Love you Halle ( Not love love >.>) but this was horrible in my eyes. Then again, I blame Warner Brothers for not letting Tim do this with Michelle recasted. Kind of like the first scene though. Everything else was meh...

Scene One
Scene Two

These are the Catwomans through the years. So who has been you favorite of all time or did you change your mind as years went by?

Eartha Kitt was the greatest. She had the moves and the voice. they even semi-reference her role as catwoman in New Groove (when Yzma is turned into a kitten)

Michelle Pfeiffer all the way. She had that weird villian-not villain thing going on that Catwoman had from her earliest appearances in DC Comics. I watched the movie about 2 weeks ago(first time I watched it I was 10) and loved it. She has that flirtatious/craziness that makes her appealing. The chess game with the Bat.

Yea, I noticed that in Emperor's New Groove, lol. In general, I love all the actresses that did Catwoman right ( Julie, Eartha, and Michelle ), but Michelle was it for me, lol. As you said, she had that vibe to her that defined her as Catwoman like in the comics. Now I can't wait to see how Anne will do it.

T.T I'm so sad that this is going to be the last movie Nolan makes for the Batman series.

They need to bring Tim Burton back, and they need to find another Joker. I'm conflicted as to which one I like best. Jack Nicholson played the Joker perfectly. . .except that they revealed his identity! Heath Ledger was a way darker version of the Joker(not that he hasn't always been dark) but his skin wasn't dyed, it was makeup.

Yea T.T

Tim and Nolan know what the comics were about and they brought them into the films. What I liked with Burton's Joker was that instead of saying some man ( can't remember his name ) killed Bruce's parents, The Joker killed them instead. That left Bruce with reasons to get revenge. Batman Forever was another Burton film in the works until WB let him go and gave it too...ugh....Shumacher *Shotgun at the ready*.

What I like with Nolan was that he applied Realism to it. I can't decide who was the best Joker live action wise between Jack and Heath, but Mark Hamill takes it for me voice wise. Looks like he went to the dark side after all, lol.

I love Keaton and Bale for Bruce, but I think Bale does Batman better while Keaton did Bruce better. That's my opinion lol.

Joe Chill.

Batman Forever did not do Jim Carry justice. . . *Shudders*
There were some seriously questionable moments between the Riddler and Two-Face XD

I think Bale did Batman the best as well. Keaton was more playful as Bruce Wayne, Bale just kinda hides from the world, and falls asleep during the board meetings XD

I agree. Riddler wasn't like how Jim was which made me annoyed and seriously people? That didn't do them both justice. Last I checked in Batman ( 1989 ) and the animated series, Harvey Dent was black. *Knocks Tommy Lee Jones role into the ocean and spares Nolan...for now*

I'll have to give props to Uma Thurman though. She fit the role for Poison Ivy well if only it was in a better film

lol, yea. The original Harvey Dent was white though. But I did find it funny how they were attempting to make sequals off of Batman, and not use the same actor for Two-Face.

That's the one Batman movie I haven't watched.

I liked all the actors that played catwoman so far. I am looking forward to seeing how she will be in the new movie though. I think Halle was a good also, but the movie was the issue. She is a good actor but in a bad movie, Movie directors do not seem to get that an actor can only do so much. She had what it took to be catwoman and i feel she played the part to the T. The same could be said about Batman Forever and Batman & Robin. Who the BLOODY HELL!!!! thought George Clooney would make a good Batman =_= just like why the Hell was Bane a ********. I mean come on. Don't get me started on the Riddler, Jim is a good and he is funny but the Riddler with the Jokers personalty doesn't mix at all.

Hmm I may like them all from those scenes. I agree. Halle was good at being Catwoman, but Warner Brothers should have left it to Burton to who was intending to do it with Michelle cast once more as Catwoman. I would have liked to see a continuation to her as well as the Catwoman with Halle. The thing I liked about the Catwoman with Halle the most was that they were saying Selina from Batman Returns wasn't the only one who was revived by cats with those abilities.

I was seriously wondering why Burton left that big cliffhanger on Batman Returns in the end when the Bat signal went up and Catwoman rose up. That sucks that Warner Brothers didn't let him follow up on it. That annoys me, lol. Why do you give something one director was working on and give it to another one who makes Gotham City another Las Vegas? Riddler wasn't what he was supposed to be. I like Jim Carrey, but don't give that role to a comedian if he isn't going to have some serious edge to it. It didn't help any with their second choice. They were going to cast Robin Williams as The Riddler too.

I agree that Uma Thurman did a decent job as Poison Ivy, but that man killed the films with his "Take a lighter approach to the films compared to Burton's Noir and Action feel to it." He literally took a lighter approach to it. Ivy was one thing he at least managed to get right. I can't recall about Mr. Freeze though. That was as bad as those people watching that tape on The Ring, lol.

Only thing I can say now is let's see what Anne has to bring because the recent Batman films haven't disappointed yet. I think Nolan and Burton should get together though and work on some films, but then I wouldn't know how good that would turn out, lol.

I think Halle Berry is an amazing actress.

However, I'm unsure of where the revival by cats comes into play XD In the comics, Selina was a cat burglar who took insperation for a costume from Batman after watching him. She has been beaten and left for dead, in which case cats seem to flock to her, but I don't recall her ever being revived by them.

If Nolan is done after this movie, Tim Burton should come in and continue it. Bring in some other villains like Poison Ivy, Hush and Mad Hatter. That would be fun.

Well Sky that is something that both the Catwoman in both Tim's verson and the Catwoman move share. I mean in the comics i never really understood why cats flocked around her after she was left for dead also. I mean its like they where setting you up for something but decided to leave you hanging for a cliff, I loved how they tried to explain it too. Like in Batman return Halle came back from near death acting more cat like. Usually the wouldn't go to details like that in comics unless they play an important role in the development of a character, Like how Bruce choose the Bat. Again Halle has all the makings to be and was a great Catwoman. She is smart, sexy lol it was just a bad movie all together, I blame the Director just like M. Night and the crap he trust to call the last air binder. I will hunt him done and make him repent for his crimes against that cartoon

My Dad just got really excited when I mentioned Julie Newmar XD

Hmm, how many boys grew up into men, who dream of they're own Catwoman? XD
