I know I'm not a womanz, but I figure you gals know more than guys in this subject.
Basically, I'm growing my hair our long again, and my hair's brittle and thinner than it was back when it was long before. What's the best way to add volume and strength?

trim off any split ends if you've got 'em. and if you don't know what that is, split ends are when the ends of your hair splits off like little Ys

if you blow dry your hair, let it air dry more often / all the time. also if you brush it, wait until it's at least a little dry after washing it / use a wide toothed comb instead. and don't towel dry it. fffffff just don't. like you can squeeze out water with the towel if needed, but don't like rub your head with it.

Huh. I always dry my hair right away with a towel -- I'll have to try this out.

towels are really rough on your hair, especially if you scrub at your hair trying to get it dry and your hair is breaking off to begin with.
i kind of just scrunch a towel through my hair just to soak up the initial wetness after squeezing out as much water as i can with my hands, then air dry.

I might need to get the a salon or something.. you could go to a salon, or you could ask a trusted friend to trim your hair fo' free. you only need to trim off 1 or 2 inches, which'll grow back pretty quickly.

My hair doesn't grow as fast as it used to. Used to be that it'd grow like a weed, and now, only 4-ish years later, it takes it's time.

I'd recomend prenatal vitamins to make your hair (and nails) grow fast, but not sure how those affect dudes. A multi vitamin probably wouldn't hurt though.

Going off the 'damaged' thing. If you go get the repairing, leave in for five minutes and it's gone, conditioner, it could help. Healthy hair generally gets stronger, and grows faster. Idk otherwise, I always cut mine off. I hate hair.

leave in conditioner, if your serious about healthy hair, will help a lot too.
a serum, instead of a cream, will weigh your hair down less. just run it through the ends. lolol i use a john frieda serum, but they're like 17 dollas so i would recommend Got 2 B smoothing satin drops. they're like 6 bucks, but smell kind of girly and come in a girly package sooo. :<
