This is a private RP between Jianyu [Kuro-Mizuki], Huang [Nyxtsuki Moon], and A'Meiya [Matisha]

Setting:
The Legion training fields.

While on her way into town, the curious A'Meiya stumbles across the Legionnaire training fields and finds more than what she bargained for...

"Aaarrrgghhhh!"

For the third time that morning, Jianyu's opponent found himself on his back on the ground. "Ow," mumbled the boy; one of the new recruits to the alliance, was only seventeen years old and completely inadequate. And Jianyu, in charge of training the group of about ten, was beginning to grow impatient.

"Pathetic!" he snapped out, his hair whipping across his face as he took a step away from the boy, unyielding as he did not even offer him a helping hand up. "You call yourself a member of the Legion, but what you really are is a child who cannot focus correctly!"

Standing there in front of them, his bare chest streaked with sweat, dirt, a few drops of blood, and several cris-crossing scars from old wounds, Jianyu surveyed the boys in his team. It was not normally this bad; since becoming a Captain, Jianyu had been in charge of training for quite some time, but this latest group was sloppy and ill kept. A few were back-talkers, spoiled rich kids whose parents had chosen their paths for them, who had swaggered in confidently, expecting to be accommodated for, but Jianyu was not one of those Captains. They had learned very quickly that he did not make allowances based on their riches or status, and had rapidly grown surly and irritated with him. However, when Jianyu had merely gestured to the exit, telling them that he wanted no halfhearted miscreants in his team and to go join the Nobles should they wish to be lazy, none of them had moved. Although they were messy and untrained, it seemed as if most actually were loyal enough to go through the rigorous training exercises that he gave them.

One among them, however, was not so useless. Jianyu gave a nod to his most prized pupil, the barest hint of a smirk touching his mouth before he pressed his lips together in a firm line, eyes flashing towards his students.

"Come, Huang," Jianyu said, motioning to the other man. "Let us show these newbies what it means to fight."

Ah, Huang thought as the boy hit the ground, another mistake. He had been watching the daily training with Jianyu for a couple of days and sadly had seen very few promising recruits. It was sad to see that none lacked the motivation that was required once joining a army. Sometimes, as he watched these students, he wondered if any of them knew how merciless war could be.

He crossed his arms over his bare chest, he too sweaty from his practices with the students, and constantly trying to teach them the techniques they would need for survival. Though he did not have the patience to deal with them, he could tell Jianyu was at his rope's end as well and wondered what his master would revert to. Especially with such a spoiled group of Lunarians.

Even after Jianyu's constant threatening, not a student had left the courtyard to join the other alliance. Though Huang thought in general that was because most of these kids were sent here in mother and daddies rich pocket books. I doubt any of the kids wanted to face the wrath of their parents for one: wasting their money and two: Joining an alliance that was not their parents.

Huang sent a silent glare to one of the groups of boys as he mumbled and grumbled before turning to face Jianyu and crossed his arms. "I hope that I will not embarrass you in front of your students Master Jianyu." Huang snorted with caution before coming forward. He was stripped from his armor and was dressed in a simple pair of training pants and boots. His tan chest bare and rolled with sweat gleamed under the unforgiving sun up above. The students held their breath as their two mentors faced each other in the field.

"Watch closely soldiers."
Huang turned to the students, his face was cold and serious. "Maybe you'll learn something about fighting for you life." Huang cocked his head before turning back to Jianyu. "After you Master." Huang said as he set himself up in a defensive position.

For the third time that week A'Meiya had ducked through the crowded alleyways, skipped across the market square and forced her way through some less desirable districts. For the third time this week A'Meiya had forgone her Fue training in the name of adventure...or just plain getting away from the slow musical death that was her rendition of playing that god-awful instrument. Her step-brothers were the musical ones, begrudgingly very good at it but her Ma's wish was to have her at least apt in one instrument, just one. No matter how obvious it was that she couldn't play a note if her life depended on it! A'Meiya was gifted in body, in her quick moves and lightening responses, of course that would never do in her mothers book. She needed some womanly attributes too, sowing was one of them, dance the other, if she could get her daughter to play an instrument as well she could almost smell the grandkids.

Running through another tightly knit group of buildings it took a moment for A'Meiya to realize what they were. They were barracks. She could smell the sweat, feel the earth move with powerful steps and almost hear the tears accompanying every wrong move. She stopped, a hand resting on the wood of the closest building as she steadied her breath. These weren't her barracks. How far had she travelled? Who were those around the corner training? Training...training. "Ohh!!" She squealed her hands connecting together as her feet began doing little hops of joy. She had stumbled across training grounds! It didnt matter what they were, training was training. It had no name, no face. Just pure power pumping through it. She had to watch, had too. It wasn't a question of sneaking around or stealing moves. She could see warriors. Captains even. Her heart fluttered briefly as if it had caught in her throat. Oh please let there be a Captain here...

She knew there would be others watching the training as well, maybe she could just blend in? Act like she was meant to be there, as long as she didn't lose her head. "A'Meiya, are you listening?" she scolded herself for a moment. "Don't do anything untoward, your just watching skilled professions. Skilled and deadly and powerful. So powerful and...Ohhh they are starting, they are starting, do you see!!" The lunarian closest may have been shocked to see a young girl running and squealing right up to them but she was blissfully unaware. Her eyes were rested on the fighter and captain, and she was mezmorised.

Jianyu gave a derisive snort at his student's first comment. "Do not tempt me, Huang-Fu Lee," he said, and smirked. "Otherwise I will show these students what it really means to be thrown over my shoulder."

They were both dressed very similarly; no shirt (Jianyu had discarded his during the first few minutes of training, when it became both too hot and a nuisance to battle in) and training pants, although where Huang was wearing boots, Jianyu was barefoot. He rarely wore shoes when training, which he supposed was not a particularly good habit, but it helped him, rather than hinder him. With his torso bare, the curled markings around his navel, as well as the elaborate tattoo imprinted upon his back were clearly visible (so was the much smaller name of Bataar scrawled on his lower back, beneath the other, but Jianyu tended to both ignore this one and try and forget it was there).

Across from him, Huang's shoulders were set, ducked low in a strong defensive stature. Jianyu walked around him, directing his comments towards the students. "See how he lowers his body?" He put a hand on Huang's lower back, pressing him forward a bit, his other hand moving under to his friend's stomach and straightening him out just a fraction of an inch. "This is the most appropriate stance when you are intending on defending yourself from a perceived attack."

Jianyu's eyes cut across the group of recruits. "You should always be on your guard," he said sternly, his voice laced with all the implications of what might happen if they weren't. He got several stunned nods and a few swallows.

Nodding his head, he returned to his place across from Huang. "Watch us and learn from us," he said, and then lunged forward, raising his leg in a swift roundhouse kick to the side of Huang's head.

Huang was set in his position, and knew it was as close as he was to get to the position that Jianyu would later place him. He was use to his mentor's constant touching and didn't flinch as Jianyu came over and moved his body to the more comfortable stance. He did however blush lightly, while he was used to Jianyu, sometimes he just wasn't.

After he was placed and Jianyu showed the students his form. He prepared himself for Jianyu's swift attack. He always knew his mentor moved fast as the kick came swinging for his head. His hand reached up, using the forearm to block, letting the kick's power revert down his body into the ground. The bonus of his position was the impact of attacks were lessened by the balance of weight and feel on the ground. It was the basic's. He could hear the students murmur at the block. His face was determined though as he pushed the kick away and threw his pal out to retaliate to Jianyu's kick.

"A counterattack." Huang said as he kept his eye's focused on Jianyu. "For one brief moment after the enemies attack, they're defense will weaken and if your quick enough, you can land a swift counter attack, usually enough to either push your enemy back for another attack, or to set yourself up back in your defensive position." Huang as he spoke felt a unsettling chill down his back and looked over to the group of students. He sensed a forbidding danger, a feeling like he would get if he was on a mission and a enemy attack was on them. His eyes searched the crowd of students, causing him to lose focus in the fight, giving an open he would have never allowed happen. His eyes finally landed on a pink haired girl, her eye's we're looking at them and in them Huang saw....unsettling adoration. He didn't remember this girl from before in their training group. His distraction cost him though as Jianyu came at him.

A'Meiya could feel the blood pumping through her ears, her knuckles white with anticipation as she threaded each finger to a merciless grasp. She couldn't keep her eyes of the two warriors. They gleamed and shone like gold, no, better than gold, diamonds, diamonds of power. If she had felt the earth moving before they started she certainly did now...or was it her feet hopping up and down beneath her, she couldn't tell.

The round house kick flew swiftly finding its mark, but as quickly as it sprung the fighter had blocked the attack with an impressive defense stance. His body taking the brunt of the force that would have left any unprepared solider out cold on the floor. She couldn't help her vocal cords from reacting to ever move, her yelps and cheers were getting louder and louder.

"Ohhh....Aye....Ufff! Hold your ground, ohhh, thats it!!!.....Eii! Front paw strike, FRONT PAW STRIKE!!!" Her arms were flailing now, caught up in the excitement in front of her. She was bedazzled, her eyes wide like saucers as she watched the men move. Oh how she wanted to be like that. As swift and sure of her moves as she was of her hands. To have them apart of her, like breathing. It didn't matter that she was making one heck of a spectacle. If it wasn't for her status as the new girl others would had done the shutting up for the warriors but as it stood students were gaining more interest in her antics than the ones on show. But she didnt care. Didn't even notice. It was just them. Her and her warriors.

Jianyu was pleased that Huang had blocked his kick. His leg swung back, Huang's forearm pressing against his ankle as he pushed it sideways. The movement spun Jianyu around, his feet moving quickly in the dirt. "Always stay focused!" he shouted to the students, giving a nod of approval to Huang-Fu. As usual, his most prized pupil was doing well. It was to be expected, however. Since meeting the younger man, Huang-Fu had always shown himself to be a confident, determined man with both a strong heart and a strong mind. He was agile and extremely capable; Jianyu had always felt a special connection with Huang-Fu, one that was irreplaceable. Despite the fact that they had held some awkward moments, some sad ones as well, and despite the fact that he had never wanted to open himself up to another, the younger man occupied a very special place in Jianyu's heart.

Training had become more work for Jianyu, since he was still weak on his left side due to his blindness, but he was rapidly growing more confident in his own abilities. He moved to the left, then to the right, his gaze locked on Huang's eyes. He was preparing to move forward, gauging the other's steps, and then with a grunt, Jianyu ran towards Huang, intent on landing a hit to his stomach. He was fully expecting Huang to block it -

- except he didn't. Huang's eyes had moved elsewhere, and Jianyu's fist slammed into his friend's torso, his other hand gripping Huang's upper arm. In one quick, smooth movement, he rammed his shoulder into Huang's chest, and pulled down on his arm, successfully throwing the other man over his shoulder. Huang landed on his back on the ground, Jianyu's bare foot pressed to his chest to pin him, his hand gripping his wrist. The expression on his face was thunderous.

"HUANG-FU!" Jianyu snapped. "You are off your guard! Why were you distracted?!"

It was odd that someone like Huang had let himself lose focus; Jianyu's eyes swept across the training field, searching for the reason. His students all shied away, looking away hastily when he glared at them, but one glance towards the left and Jianyu found where Huang's gaze had fallen.

A girl.

Giving Huang a somewhat exasperated look, Jianyu removed his foot, sweeping across the field towards the far building. When he was close enough, he reached around the wall, and taking a handful of clothing, he pulled the girl gently but firmly out into view.

"Might one ask what you are doing here?" Jianyu asked, giving her a disgruntled look, one eyebrow raised. "You do not seem familiar to me. Who are you?"

If the gaze of the squealing girl hadn't distracted Huang already, Her high pitched cat calls and girly whistles certainly did. He was unaccustomed to such...enthusiasm and adoration from the female species and in such, lost his edge of seriousness during the battle, especially he couldn't focus on the defense as she kept yelling attack calls. It was more shameful as Huang felt the palm of Jianyu's hand in his stomach, sufficiently knocking the air from his body. As he tried to catch his breath, he felt himself lifted upwards and over his mentor shoulder, Landing flatly on his back which any breath he had left exited and left him gasping like a fish. Much like the situation he had just described to the students. There was snorts and snickers from the students as they pointed at him but he ignored them.

Jianyu looked at him disappointed though, It hurt for a brief second on the ego and made Huang disappointed in himself, had he not been distracted by the little girl.....No, she was not to blame. Huang had not steeled himself enough and had only himself to blame for his insufficient training and easily distracted mind. "Sorry Master Jianyu." Huang mumbled as he pushed himself off the ground and dusted himself off, dirt stuck to the sweat darkening the lines of body and was not brushed away when he tried. He followed his master as Jianyu pulled the girl out into view for everyone to see before crossing his hands over his chest and glaring at her silently. Regardless that she has distracted him and caused him to lose a chunk of ego, she was a uninvited peeper, and Huang never trusted uninvited guest.

"A spy from the nobles maybe?" Huang raised his eyebrow much like Jianyu's before sweeping back to the class, who had begun to murmur loudly over the word of Noble. "Quiet Soldiers! Your Captain hasn't given you orders to do anything yet. Stand strong and in line or face....Captain Jianyu's wrath." Huang mumbled the last words as he ducked his head in shame, again much to letting his friend get the upper hand in battle against him. "Who are you...Lady Peeper?" Huang said with thick sarcasm yet politeness. He was still Huang even if he was a bit pissy over a landed hit in battle. He really needed to stop kicking himself over it.
PostPosted: Fri Apr 29, 2011 9:37 am

She was blissfully unaware of her doings in the distraction of Huang, she assumed his mis-timing of his defensive to Jianyu powerful punch was merely a strategic strategy, to have the opponent think they had the upper hand before finishing them with a crouching spin kick or something along those lines...although..why would he want him to land a blow? It obviously hurt as she watched with bated breath as the taller male lifted him up and over his shoulder finishing him with slam to the ground that made her teeth rattle. "Ouch..." She flinched, her chest heaved a little as she imagined the wind being taken from him forcefully. Strange tactics that did not work, heh, she knew all about those as her mind drifted to a previous training session with Master Yumo... trying to hide gas canisters down her chest bindings for a surprise distraction technique didn't really work... especially when they went of mid Phoenix Strike, when she needed her eyes.

With her mind racing over those memories she didn't see both Jianya and Huang walking up to her. She was pondering. Maybe some sort of animal would work? "No...think of all that fur A'meiya, it would get everywhere."

"Might one ask what you are doing here?"

"Who are you...Lady Peeper?"

The voices struck a harsh cord through her thoughts and she froze with panic as her tense body was pulled to face her newly found idols. "Oh....." She whimpered looking up at them both, their forms blocking out the sun and casting shadows across her. They stood, she stood. There was staring...a good few seconds of staring and then as if someone did a scorpion kick to the back of her head she grasped both hands in front of her, elbows sticking out and bowed. Nearly touching the baked floor with her face she held her gripped hands out in front of her, almost shouting as she replied to their questions.

"OH PLEASE FOR-give me mister-san* I did not mean to intrude on your practice, I am no peeper. I was lost and stumbled across your training grounds in my haste to escape my Fue training, am no good at it you see, no sense of rhythm but...err...My name? My name is Quan A'Meiya, my family have just moved to this fair city but a few weeks ago. I am still getting my bearings and I...and I-"
Her head and body had slowly risen as she spoke, her eyes gaining confidence as she stared at their torsos and then their shoulders finally resting on their eyes. She took a chance then and stepped forward, her hand still caught tight within each other and she brought them up to her face as if she held something inside. Her eyes once again big and brimming with awe.

"But I..I couldn't tear my self away...you two....you two were, were amazing! So, so swift and graceful...except when you lost concentration"
She nodded towards Huang with a look of regret & sorrow for his fall and then masked her features once more with feverish worship. "Master Yomo would never stand for that, but you mister-san...I...I - " She took another step further towards Jianyu her form getting dangerously close and then also looked towards Huang, admiration burning through her eyes. "I find you both so...magnificent"

Jianyu gave a dry stare towards the girl before turning his eye towards his pupil. "She is no spy," he said, the disgust and exasperation easily audible within his voice. "Though I have explained many times that spies come in all shapes and sizes, this girl here..." His gaze flickered to the flushed cheeks, the pale eyes, the breathlessness of her words. "A spy would not be so careless, after all."

The girl had squirmed out of his grasp now, and to his surprise, she had flung herself to the ground, her face nearly pressed against it. Jianyu stared down at her, his eyes wide, casting a startled gaze back towards Huang. Her apology was rushed, her words tumbling over the others, and although he was irritated that his training had been interrupted, he found he could not quite be angry with her.

Especially not after she called them amazing. Jianyu stared at her. "Er," he said, uncertain as to what exactly to do next. She was flighty and...well, girlish, but she was not rude - except for the fact that she had stepped quite close, which was a little bit awkward. He let out a sigh.

"Quan A'Meiya," Jianyu said, his voice laced with exasperation, and reached down, his fingers grasping one of her slender wrist. Spinning around, he began to make his way back towards the training field. "Seeing as how you have interrupted my training period and distracted my best student into performing badly, I will have need of your services."

The students tittered with confusion, their gazes curious as their instructor returned, bringing with them a young girl and a sheepish Huang-Fu. Once they reached the center of the field, Jianyu let go of A'Meiya's wrist and turned to face her.

"Now you will be my opponent," he said, and lifted his brow, the expression on his face almost teasing, his lips twitching almost indistinguishably. "Come and show me what you have, young Quan A'Meiya."

Huang glanced down at the girl before looking at his master, one eyebrow raised. "I realize master, but one could never be too cautious in these times and well...." He gave a aloof smile to his friend, "You know how paranoid I am about these things." Huang looked back to the girl before bending down to stare, memorizing every detail of how she looked in case she tried anything. "Of course Master Jianyu is right." Huang mumbled as he bent back. The girl escaped Jianyu's grasp though and to both men's astonishment, flung herself to the ground, almost kissing it with her forehead. Huang met his master's wide eyed stare before shrugging again and mumbled a "Girl is weird." and let Jianyu deal with her.

Huang started to feel uncomfortable though as the girl gushed about their battle, stiffening as she spoke with obvious adoration that had Huang stepping back and to the right, so he was positioned a little behind his master. He mentally kicked himself when he realized that she was assessing them in an almost unladylike manor. Though Huang didn't have much experience with women, he didn't like the awkwardness from this girl that he felt. "Um, Master Jianyu." Huang whispered in the man's ear, "What is she doing? Why is she staring.............Is she getting closer????" Huang said deeply confused as to what this girls game was before he stiffened at her comment of his concentration. He held his tongue in check to retort that the reason he had lost concentration in the first place was being of her girlish screams and unfamiliar presence.

He instead watched as Jianyu took the girl's wrist and escorted them to the middle of the field, his face still showed the signs of shame for his defeat and lost of concentration. He stood in the middle as Jianyu positioned the girl and then himself before snorting, a habit he had picked up lately. "Then I will referee this training match." Huang looked over to the students, "Pay attention Soldiers, this is no different then a match between myself and Master Jianyu." He snapped before going to the middle of the two holding out his hands. "This is a training match of course but we must have some rules, as much as it pains me to establish them, since you are not part of our training group Lady A'Meiya." Huang said her name with a little drawl dragging it out, "The way to win is to get Master Jianyu to touch both of his hands to the ground. There will be no hits to the face or the...lower half. As you are not as experienced as Jianyu and myself, Lady A'Meiya we will give you lenience." Huang gave her a sly smile before his face returned to its usually stoic expression. "Are you ready?" He looked to both contenders before waving his hand up, "Begin!" He said as he stood off to the side, his hands crossed over his chest so he could watch the young girl, how well would she do against Jianyu, He highly doubted she was master fighter like himself or a captain. Too young,

[OOC: all images taken from google]

If A'Meiya's eyes could have popped out they would have exploded. Here in front of her were not only trained warriors glistening like the moon lit tide, but they were talking to her! TALKING! TO HER! Some brain cells died in the following excitement as her head nodded as if it was going out of fashion. With every syllable that left their lips she carefully gathered and treasured them in the back of her mind, as if they held some sort of wisdom that would be needed at a later date. Yet all the warriors had to say about this meeting followed the path of questioning her person and she was almost feverish in her will to put them straight.

“I give you my word, I am no spy, If I could prove it I would! My views, what ever views I have on this war can not dismiss the strength you hold and it is truly an honor to watch you both.” She blushed slightly at these words as if admitting a grave secret. “Enthusiasticly I know!” she added with extra gusto to prove a point. She listened again as Huang gave his 2 silvers worth of opinion and was more than happy to answer the soldier, who's obedience clearly shone through for his master – extra 5 points in A'Meiya's mind, when Jianyu took her by the wrist and started to lead her onto the training grounds. What came from her lips could only be described as a squeal that dogs could only hear. The passing comments by the others were lost in the idyllic music that had filled Mei's mind, her eyes were glazed over, and if possible she was foaming at the mouth. The sun shone for her, the birds sang their approval, it was glorious. But sadly over all too soon for the salmon haired girl.

"Come and show me what you have, young Quan A'Meiya."

“Huh?” Her hand was now back down at her side, it felt strangely weightless and not really hers as she stared almost questioningly at Jianyu. “Me? Y-you want to train with me?” Mouth agape and opening and closing like a fish it took several awe inspiring gasps of breath before she found the words, or at least the sound to express her answer.

“EAAIIII! ME! ME! Oh goddess!! Me, like in me, me? Mister-san!....Me! ME!...Me?..M-” "- Are you ready?-" "- Me...huh? I mean...yes!" If it wasn't for Huang's quick thinking the torrent of shocked sounds would have spilled forth for eternity, the snap of his voice cut through her jabbering mind like a whip and as quickly as he said the words her body moved into position. One foot slid back as the other took its place in front, her back bent slightly so she could spring away at a moments notice, her arms folding into the familiar pose like so many times before. If it wasn't for the events that had led to this moment any new onlooker would be gazing upon a girl who looked every inch the trained soldier, it was just the stupid grin on her face that gave it away.

“Heeii, lets do this!” she shouted, her vocal cords straining for control as Huang initiated the fight to begin. As fast as her eager body could muster she leapt forward with sickening speed, but instead of reaching out to strike Jianyu her arm went down towards the ground, touching the floor and bringing her whole body up into a handstand, one that would have been mistaken as any normal childlike pose if it wasn't for her leg swinging in from above to catch him hopefully off guard towards his torso. As the momentum of the move made her body twist she brought her other hand down to take the strain, her legs fell apart to open out like a fan (luckily for everyone involved she was wearing shorts – not by the looks of it would have put A'Meiya off from performing this move though!) and began to twist and circle her legs round, moving forward all the while to push Jianyu back. Of course being a warrior of higher training and greater experience it wouldn't have taken long for him to break the circle of legs before they struck a meaningful blow.

Jianyu did not take a step back as A'Meiya stepped closer, though the look on his face implied heavy confusion as to why this young woman had decided to move a little bit into his space. Huang's quiet hiss only confirmed that she was a tad awkward. Jianyu turned his face, speaking low into his student's ear. "I am...not entirely certain," he murmured, eying A'Meiya with a sort of wary apprehension. "But I do not think that she intends any sort of harm..."

He hadn't intended to train with the girl, but now that he was standing here, in the middle of the ring facing the girl, Jianyu felt a strong sense of amusement. And from the quick, sly smirk that Huang-Fu offered her, he was not alone in this.

Although from the way that A'Meiya's eyes widened to almost impossible proportions, the way her squealing and squeaking reminded Jianyu of an overexcited puppy, this was not exactly going to be the most difficult fight. Jianyu's eyes narrowed slightly, watching the girl slide into position, her arms bent in the proper form for defense, rather than offense. He nodded at her.

"Good," Jianyu said, and there was a low rumbling of murmured comments from his students as they watched eagerly. It was rare that their teacher provided any sort of entertainment, and this was the closest thing there was to it.

His eyebrows rose when A'Meiya moved; the girl was surprisingly fast, leaping forward and pressing her palms flat to the dusty dirt ground, swinging her legs upwards in an attempt to catch him in the stomach. It was a reckless move, though a confident one, one that ordinarily would have caught its opponent off guard instantly.

That is, if the opponent had been anything less than a Captain. Jianyu bent backwards, his hands whipping out, as fast as lightning, one catching A'Meiya's ankle with an iron grasp, stopping them mid motion to draw both legs together. His other arm went around her legs, below her knees, and with a quick jerk, he pulled A'Meiya from the ground, lifting her easily and flipping her onto her back. He did not throw her nearly as hard as he had thrown Huang-Fu (and even then, Jianyu had thrown him a bit harder just to be obnoxious to one of his closest friends), but it would still send reverberations throughout her. Kneeling beside her, Jianyu pressed a hand to her neck, fingers lightly pressing, though not putting much pressure. There was more murmuring from the students.

"You are too reckless in your movements," Jianyu said. "You put too much focus in attacking quickly, rather than defending your weak targets, and your movements are sloppy and uncoordinated."

A small smirk graced his lips. "However, your courage is admirable," Jianyu said, and his fingers slipped from her throat, grasping A'Meiya's wrist and pulling her easily to her feet. He backed away, stepping until he reached Huang-Fu, and then he pressed a hand to his student's lower back, shoving him forward.

"Your turn."

Huang sent a shrug to his master as they started their training session. He would've thought the girl was serious at least during her training and yet, by the stupid dopey expression Huang wasn't sure if A'Meiya realized that she was facing a captain in battle. He half expected her just to stand there, but nodded in surprise as she set herself in first defense and then just as quickly went on the offense. Huang appreciated the quick attack, speed was defentitly a assets to this girl and a move he would've chosen himself if was faced in a death battle against that of a higher ranked solider. Here in training though it was useless, quickly demonstrated by the fact when Jianyu easily caught her flying kick, batting it away and slamming her to the ground. Not with enough force to hurt her. Huang snorted as he rubbed his back where he had been knocked out, his friend obviously didn't show restraint like he did with the girl and Huang vowed that he'd get his master back somehow.

When the battle was said and done, Huang sighed out a breath before keeping his arms crossed, watching the pair as Jianyu gave the girl tips on her battle style. "Far too reckless for training." Huang looked at the girl before cocking his head at her, "Were this a battle on the war field, your courage might have prevailed you through a battle with someone stronger or an attempt to escape through distraction Lady A'Meiya." Huang shrugged, "While Master Jianyu is a Captain, your first line of strategy is to base your attack after seeing your strength against that of your opponent. The more information you have, whether it be from watching the other fighter or battling them and learning their weak spots, the greater chance you will survive your battle. We are at war, but war does not mean to lose your life foolishly in a half-hearted attack that would do you no good." Huang looked to the students now, "Remember this soldiers, a good defense is the best offense, do not let your blood flow hot so that you attack first, the chances are slim of you coming through with pieces still attached." Huang gave a wide toothy smile to the students before his eyes widened. Jianyu had come behind him while he had spoken and was pushing him towards the weird girl.

"Wait..." Huang mumbled weakly as he was pushed onto the battlefield, staring into Jianyu's eyes with a little bit of shock and more of uncertainty. "I don't think this is a good idea Master." Huang protested, though he was sure it was met with deaf ears, once Jianyu got something in his head, it was rare to get the idea free again. Huang stood awkwardly on the training field staring at the A'Meiya....just staring....awkwardly. "This is really not a good idea Lady A'Meiya." Huang said to her as he positioned himself in his usual defense form, legs spread apart with his right foot behind him, arms bent from his chest up and his hands palm out with his thumb tucked underneath. He waited for the call of the match to begin as he focused his eyes on something...that rock by her foot so that he didn't have to look at her. Especially if she had that weird look on her face...or said something awkward or show of affection. Just breathe and focus, Huang mumbled, his eye's changed to the stoic battle face he showed whenever he started a match, his mind drawing inwards so that he could battle still without the overwhelming amount of emotion.
