hello im professor albiz and i will be your transfiguration teacher this term
now im new to teaching this class so we will take things a bit differently than your previous professors
in this class i will teach you the basics of transfiguration and hopefully you will come out better than before

rules and guidelines
rules
1. follow the tos
2.follow all guild rules
3. post in your house color or lose five points for every time i have to remind you
4. if you dont turn in the home work i will dock you 5 pts per day late
5.be civil towardds all
6. roll a single 20 sided dice for each spell cast only one spell can be cast per post
dont cast spells that you havent learned in this class you can reverse your mis fires after they have gone off
7.turn home work in with your username rp name house year and lesson name
8,hufflepuffs please post in orange/bolded black yellow hurts my eyes

1-5 nothing happens
6-10 you transmute or transfigure when you should have done the opposite
11-15 you manage to do as you should but just barely
16-19 you do the spell at a higher level(above average)
20 perfect you did the best possible double points

current lesson
ok today we will be learning how to trasnfigure things since we got the basic princepals the wand movement and how to transmute things done
this is very similar to transmuting things
you need to concentrate on the object and use your will to see it as a different object of the same material
like so
*swish and point*
"presto chango"
*wood chair becomes a wood desk*
the key problem for most people is to be able to change the object with out changing the material most naturally do both at the somae time
now all of you should be able to transfigure something with out to much effort
but just in case your having difficulties try calming your self first for some reason anger and frustration tend to get in the way of keeping a mental picture of the item turning to something else
today we will also be learning how to tansfigure and transmute at the same time now when you transfigure and transmute something you need to make two seperate images one of the orignal object turning into another object with the same material and a second image of the new object changing material to suit your needs now this can be quite difficult but you then must merge them perfectly into one image in your mind while you do the swish and point and say the incantation presto chango
classwork pt 1
using the dice system you will turn a "iron" chair into all of the following
"an iron desk"
"an iron hat"
and
"an iron sowrd"
(meaning you have to turn the iron chair into each of the m not just two of them))
after you have done cw pt 1 you will take another 3 iron chiars and you will transmute and transfigure the chairs into a wood desk
a cloth hat
and a copper sword
no hw for this lesson

past lessons
welcome students today we will go over the basics of transfiguration and the terms used in transfiguration
transfiguration is a subschool of alteration. the other schools of alteration are transmutation and alchemy .
transfiguration is the changing of one object to another shape but keeping the same material.for example you could transfigure a wooden chair to a wooden table but you couldnt transfigure a wooden chair to a stone table
transmutation is the changing of the material but keeping the shape. for example you could change a wooden chair into a stone chair but not into a table
alchemy is the scientific way of changing a set of ingredients to a specified items or object for instance mixing certain elements to make lead turn to gold is the most popular version alchemy is most often associated with potions so we wont be doing any of that in this class
most of the time you use transfiguration and transmutation simultaneously with out thinking about it such as when you turn a steel cup into a bird
today we are just going to work on using the basics of transfiguration
we will be learning to change a chair into a different object while trying to keep its material the same
now in order to change something you need to have good concentration and will something into being different than it was
like so
*points wand at wooden chair chair and turns it into a wooden table*
in this exercise you will need to do the basic swish and point in order to get the magical energies flowing
as class work please practice the swish and point 2 times for 1 pts each
((roll 1 10 sided dice
1-2 you poke yourself with your wand
3-4 you swish but dont point properly
5-6 you point but dont swish
7-10 you succeed at doing it properly))

ok welcome students today we will be learning how to form the image that will allow you to turn things into others
the first step is getting a very good mental image of the item or items as they are then you have to think of the image you want after finding the image you want you use the swish and point that we practiced and will the first image to become the second image like so

*wooden chair turns to stone chair*
now this lesson wont have any home woprk but it will have class work
using the dice system you will try to tansmute this iron cup into a steel cup and into a stone cup and into a glass cup
after that you will then write a 4 sentece report on your experience with transmutation
