Aluska is from the Karelia region of Finland. As a young boy, the region was invaded by the Soviets and overtaken. Aluska's father was extremely upset along with a vast majority of others and participated in the Winter War. Unfortunately, his father never saw the end of the war, dying in battle. Aluska never met his mother due to her death during childbirth so he was rescued by Isaak, who had a mission during the Winter War. Despite being an enemy, Aluska was terrified yet believed the words the Russian spoke to him. The promise made was if Aluska went with Isaak, Isaak would teach him the ways to prevent him from losing anyone important to him again. The two of them grew a strong brotherly bond, one that even Isaak's wishy-washy behaviour cannot break. It can even be seen as one of mentor and student. Regardless, Aluska has a lot of respect for Isaak for the Russian has never once broken a promise to him.
