Name: Canon Indy
Nicknames: Indy
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Faction: Monster
Race: Skark
Natural Ability: One-Man Band -
Skarks can manipulate their voice to an insane degree, mimicking music, voices, and other sounds convincingly. They can even sing in harmony with themselves since they can force air out of more than one breathing hole at a time.
Personality: Indy may not be a cat, but her curiosity has gotten her just as close to being killed. She considers herself to be a scientist, and eagerly pursues 'research' along topics that interest her, whether it's concocting new poisons, or following someone around to see how they spend their day. However, Indy is terribly naive. Sarcasm tends to fly right over her (as do most thrown objects; she's barely two feet tall in her natural form). She has little sense of personal space, and she can be quite gullible about something she doesn't have personal knowledge.
Her curiosity does tend to make her an amiable little companion, if you can stand the questions, not to mention how she says hello. In Skark society, it's polite to attack and narrowly miss the person you're meeting. There's no actual malice in the attack, though if you should take a swing at her in return and hit, that's generally considered an invitation to spar. And when it comes to fighting, Indy always attacks with a joyful ferocity.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? To research poisons, naturally. While she has done a lot of research on her own, her home bog only offers a limited selection of flora and fauna to chose from. She's hoping a true education will open the availability of study material. Also, sparring is a traditional pastime with Skarks, and Indy has heard about the Amityville dueling system. She's extremely excited to have a chance at fighting people who aren't her relatives.
She's currently enrolled in a small school, primarily for local ghouls, close to her home swamp. Canon was lucky enough to have the opportunity to sign up for a study trip to the Horsemen Islands. Although the trip ended up going horribly wrong, Canon got to meet a great number of Amityville students, and was utterly fascinated by a certain purple Illithid. Ever since returning to her regular school, she's pursued a transfer to Amityville with all her energy.
FEAR: Apothecary (Tainted Fang) -
Skarks are creatures capable of absorbing and replicating poison in their body to use as a weapon. Indy's FEAR ability allows her to combine the poisons in her body to create different effects. She's just started experimenting, however, and in the interest of not killing off her test subjects, she sticks to poisons with mild effects. This doesn't mean they can't be an effective distraction in a fight, however. Indy also makes sure to have an antidote handy if someone has an unexpectedly bad reaction. No hard feelings, after all!

Physical Description: Canon is short. Like Arel short. Skarks aren't big creatures; their bodies are just a little bigger than a football. So Canon would be about 5 heads high at the most.
Eye Colour: Red
Hair Colour/Style: Long and black. Tied back in a ponytail usually.
Skin Colour: Gray
Clothing Style/Colours: Up to artist, but Canon has horrible fashion sense, and an unconditional love for the color red.
Extra: She has a long tail, about as long as she is tall, with a black barb on the end. She doesn't have a nose. Instead she should have a line of breathing holes above each clavicle, and above her shoulder blades. She can have one big eye, or she can have two eyes. (If she has two, one is always covered by an eye patch. During the event I rped her skull pin being incorporated with her eye patch)). On her visible eye, she has the four long, prehensile eyelashes. Two on the top, two on the bottom. See her reference.

Skarks don't actually have skeletons. They're kind of like octopi, or sharks. They're also rather bouncy. The spots you see on her back are actually breathing holes that connect to one large lung-like organ in the central body. They talk by restricting the opening of some holes and forcing air through them like a voice box. Skarks are amphibious, and they can also use air to propel themselves through the water, though they usually use their webbed feet and tail. The fringe along her underside is her mouth. Skarks melt their food with quick acting toxins, and then absorb the nutrients through the fringe. The four antennae around her eye are infinitely flexible, surprisingly strong, and sensitive. Skarks use them to convey emotions, as well as to examine objects, and even carry smaller ones. Their main weapon is their stinger. Any toxins that a Skark wishes to use are stored in glands in the brightly colored section of their tail, and released upon contact with the stinger.
