Aden was standing at the tall, metal gave that was the barrier between the facility he worked at the outside world, a simple enough thing from the looks of it but it was oh so much more to those that knew what was actually standing there, not just a tall gate made of wrought iron and a wall of stone but a barrier as well that cut them off from the other beings outside that might thing to disrupt the day to day activities of this place. It was a truly amazing thing if you knew it was there... most didn't though. It was just a gate that one needed keys to unlock or wings to get over.

He was there with said keys, awaiting the one that he was supposed to be seeing today, a spawn named Edes. A mix of... Kindness and Sloth? He blinked a couple times then chuckled, "Doesn't sound terrible scary." He mused to himself, finding such a mix comical and cute at the same time, he didn't see how such a mix, especially being the original Sloth, could be at all dangerous. Guess he would know the answer to that as well as the reason behind the appointment soon enough he thought as he leaned against the fence, taking the time to light up a smoke, enjoying his vice while awaiting the arrive of the one called Edes.

Something inside of Edes was changing. Ever since their honeymoon in Gambino, where he and Cody had made love for the first time, he had felt strange. It wasn't a bad feeling, quite the contrary, it felt as if he had eaten a warm bowl of soup on a frigid day, at the bottom of his abdomen rested a warmth, a little ball of something he couldn't describe.. What ever it was, he kinda liked it, and every time he returned to Cody's arms, it grew.

What had led him to decide it was time to visit the facility was when one morning, while he was getting ready for work in front of a mirror. He closed his eyes while brushing his long, near infinite curls, and saw his normal yellow aura outline. Everything in the room had auras, so when he saw something a little different, he attributed to an object in is room.. But where the new color aura was coming from began to make him think differently. Right Below where his belly button would be glowed a small, but vibrant greenish aura. It was difficult distinguishing his aura from the small ball that seemed to have come out of no where, but he kept it too himself, believing it was nothing.

After a few weeks, watching the aura slowly grow bigger and bigger, as well as realizing a few changes in his body, he had come to a decision, pulling Cody aside to talk to him about what he thought the light was..

Then the next thing he knew, he was here, at the facility with a possessive husband, and something he only wished were true.

"Aden.. You know this man?"

"Yeah, I know him. He was the one I talked with when I was here. Again, he's alright but really flirtatious," Cody muttered quietly enough for Edes to hear but not the doctor they were approaching. No need for him to overhear their conversation and get some sort of idea in his head about something and go on it. It was bad enough that he had been in Aden's care for several months and knew more about him than he had wanted, but to return...

Cody nearly bared his teeth at the doctor as he heard Aden greet them, deciding to instead flash him a dark look as if daring him to try something. "Yeah, it has been a while Aden," he commented, suddenly seeming wary as they stepped through the gates of the facility. It had to happen sometime, he figured, that he'd eventually return for some odd reason or another. At least it was on his terms and he'd be leaving the same way he arrived; with Edes.

Aden look in the dark look that Cody was giving him before he gave a grin, "Yes, I can tell by that look of yours that you missed me greatly." He said to him in an amused manner before his attention turned to Edes who was far more talkative and friendly then Cody was at the moment.

"Oh? Married? Awww... and I suppose that means my chances with you have passed, huh? What a shame! I will be sure to mourn alone after the appointment." He told the greed spawn, giving him a playful wink before he looked over to Edes once more. So the pair were married were they? He found that to rather cute in fact, nothing he was interested in himself but then again he wasn't really interested in any sort of serious relationship at the moment, not after his last one.

"Once we are in the medical ward we can get to talking things over." He told the pair, the walk took a few minutes, a long and winding path through the white halls before they were heading into one of the rooms. It was an open one that had various cots set up in it along one wall. His desk was in the same room as were all of his files that were needed for when he did these appointments. Had he known Cody was going to be here he'd of gotten his file out as well. For now though just Edes's file should be fine.

Motioning at a cot he gave a smile, "How about you sit down Edes and tell me why the two of you are here today?"

It truly figured that his visit here was going to be an awkward one. It always seemed to be that way, when ever he had something imporntant he had to attend to. But to him, the awkwardness was also what made every situation unique. With his fingers laced with Cody's, he began to speak, his eyes gazed down in a slightly embarrassed, but throughly pleased manner.

"Well... Um.. As a kindness spawn.. I can see auras of many things... Yours.. Mine.. Cody's.. But.. Not too long ago, I've started to see something different when I gazed at my own.. It was small, at first.. But the more it grew, the more I realized it wasn't something that was normal for me.. It was a different color, and the constant feeling of warmth filled me.. So.. I came to the conclusion that.. I might be pregnant.. I'm confident I am right... What mother would not know the changes in their own body?"

Mother.. Now that was a good feeling, having that roll off his tongue..

"We are here today to confirm that, and to make the necessary preparations for having a child."

"Luthor. Wouldn't trust Vampy with such a thing," Cody replied, watching Aden carefully as he moved around to grab various things for a test. He didn't bother acting surprised that he managed to figure out they were to one of the two people, figuring they were the only ones who could allow such a phenomenon to occur. And since Edes was so sure about such a thing, the idea that they had made a sort of deal with them and wasn't absolutely off his rocker made sense.

Still, the spawn didn't bother relaxing. His hand still entangled with Edes' main hand, he gave it a little squeeze in reassurance for anything he might need it for. Cody didn't mind needles but he wasn't entirely sure about his husband sharing that same indifference.

Aden gave a smile as Edes relinquished his hand to him, "Good, its going to be just a little n** of pain but nothing more. I am sure that Cody will be more then willing to kiss it better." He said, giving him a smile before he reached down opened up the sterilized needle, using the sharp point of it to p***k the tip of Edes's index finger. There wasn't much blood, just a couple drops and that was all that was needed for the test. The drops fell onto the test and after that he set to cleaning the would, put a dot of ointment on it, then a tiny bandaid just in case, "There we are." He said gently, "Now, all we have to do is wait and the test will reveal to use the information that we already know." He was pretty sure from what Edes had told him that he was already certain about what it was that he was experiencing but it was good to confirm.

Leaning back in his seat Aden looked between the pair before giving Cody a smile, "Come on, Cutie, you really do need to relax. I don't mean to jump you and your safe here now since you seem to be well in control." He recalled the last time he'd seen him, the time he'd spent with him, and compared to then Cody was like a whole other person... or more like he was like a single person instead of a couple of them fighting for dominance, "Once we confirm this with the test there will be a few things I will give you to aid you in a healthy pregnancy and we will make a second appointment so that you can come in for your sonogram." He told Edes, giving him a smile. It seemed that the parents rather loved those and he found enjoyment in them as well, getting a sneak peek at the next generation of spawn was quite exciting if you asked him!

Edes was more than highly sensitive to pain, but when his finger was pricked, he managed to simply flinch a small bit, before fighting the instinct to stick his finger in his mouth, allowing the doctor to patch up the p***k. As soon as he was finished he pulled his sleeve back down, leaning against Cody as they waited for the test result. Did they doubt him? Naw, it's because it was procedure.

"I'm excited for the next appointment! Though.. I'm sure I'll be significantly fatter the next time around. " This was said with a grin, since he knew that it would, of course, be the good type of fat, that being it wasn't fat at all. "Oh.. We need to go shopping for Kiddy clothing!"
