I'm currently new to gaia and the community in general so I have yet to study seasonal trends and the like; but I've noticed something particular in the MP...

That is that people have a tendency to release hoards.

So the question is : should i be hoarding up due to the dip in prices?

Let's take this item for example :

It was nearly 100k right when the hoarder released his hoard.. Should I now be stocking up on this item?

I would advise you study the graphs. I am not familiar with this item but looking at its graph for the last month its highest abp was around 56,000. All that are on the market right now seem highly inflated in the low 70k area. The graphs are an invaluable tool to see if an item has been artificially inflated. As to whether this would be a good long term hoard I dont know as i am not familiar with where it came from. Hope this helped somewhat and good luck.

In my opinion I don't think you should ever hoard an item just because you see someone else doing it.

I think you should look at the actual item, the graphs, & the Average Buy Price.

Then, if you think the item is worth it, but a few. But don't spend all of your gold in one item.

Put a limit on how many you would like to buy, & know how much you want to sell them for.
