One of the things Andrea enjoyed about spring was that it stayed light later. He kind of hated having to go to his dance lessons in the dark, and when he had to add patrolling onto his schedule, too, it felt even more like he had precious little time in the day.

Now, it was at least light out when he went to class, though by the time it was over, it had gotten dark out anyway. Andrea slid his cell phone open just so the screen would illuminate and give him the time.

"Oh, s**t," he murmured. The lingering twilight made it look earlier than it was, and so he had forgotten that the buses were not running quite as often now. And, with his dance lesson running a bit later than usual, he had missed the bus and would have to wait some forty minutes for another.

"Shouldn't have dragged my feet so much about leaving," Andrea sighed, running his fingers through his still slightly-sweaty hair, making it stand up for a moment. He had been more tired overall lately, and so he had taken his time after the lesson. There was a little cafe near the bus stop, at least; Andrea figured he could head down there and get a roll or a bagel or something, along with some juice. Kill some time while he waited for the bus.

Shifting his duffel bag on his shoulder, the boy shuffled down the sidewalk to the Bread Basket.

Rea had been staying out longer and longer.

The sun had been a bright red ball against the horizon as the strawberry blonde girl meandered aimlessly through the maze of skyscrapers and dotted shops of Destiny City, no particular method to her madness as she walked. There was no particular place she wanted to go -- in fact, she'd been doing it for hours, everything passing by in her peripheral vision, the steady rhythm of her shoes against the pavement only a subconscious thought. It was the mere act of going nowhere which attracted her, the fact that she was going 'away' from certain things far more appealing than a destination. So when the sun had finally set, and twilight was fading into a darkness that should have been worrysome for any normal young adult, Rea was just beginning to notice the change, completely unperturbed by the darkness. It was with a complete lack of interest that she glanced up at the darkened sky, her eyebrows furrowing a little as if momentarily annoyed before she looked around at where she was, watching a few street lamps flicker on.

Unbeknown to most, the threat of muggers or rapists hadn't even crossed her mind. In fact, even the threat of the negaverse hardly raised her concern anymore. Ever since the battle for Elysion, things had been... different for the Eternal Senshi of Dreams, the things she had always counted as fact suddenly coming into question as to their validity, and, somehow, it seemed the negaverse had taken notice. Since then, she hardly ever worried of a negaverse agent lurking in the dark, the sudden realization that nine times out of ten she had been the one to start the fights startling. And the other one time out of ten... well, she was Eternal. Experience had left her far more than capable of taking care of herself.

Still...

It took a good few minutes of eying the surrounding darkness before hazel eyes settled on the cafe not a few doors down from where she stood, and a few more moments to mentally waffle over whether or not to go in before she headed in that direction. And although she didn't know why, her eyes were immediately drawn to another figure walking the opposite way, towards her down the sidewalk, so much so that the curious stare might have been construed as a judging eye as she looked over his sweaty hair, the dance bag hiked up over his shoulder.

Dance really helped clear Andrea's mind. It was a great distraction, to focus on movement and balance, and making the right steps in order. And the physical exertion on its own worked wonders for his mood. It was part of why he kept at it. Whatever troubled him in high school would invariably let up on the dance floor. And now he had dance to thank for his strength and balance now that he had other uses for it as a senshi.

The evening breeze helped dry the sweat off of Andrea a little as he made his way down the block, but he still looked like he had definitely been working out when he reached the little bakery. He brushed his hair back out of his eyes with one hand, and waved a little as he saw the other girl watching him.

Andrea was aware he looked a little less than presentable, but he suspected he was far from the worst thing to walk into the little bakery. And hopefully not the worst thing the other girl had seen. As he reached the door, he grasped the handle and pulled it open, then gestured for her to go in ahead of him.
