"Look, Copeka, isn't that pond pretty?" Lira picked her baby boy up, standing his feet on the guardrail so he could get a better look. Jake looped around his waist, giving him an extra layer of protection in case he decided to act like a toddler and wiggle around too much. The woman smiled softly, stroking her boy's cheek with a finger as she stared at the tranquil water. This was a wonderful idea. Aludra had taken Demetre out to the aquarium for the day, making up for his prolonged abscence bit by bit on his fiancee's recommedation. And Lira had taken her baby here, just one more peaceful way for him to get out of the house. She held a cheap camera out towards the boy. "Wanna take a picture?"
Copeka gasped happily when he was lifted, golden wings flapping around excitedly. He nodded rapidly when the camera was offered to him, lifting it up to one eye and pressing the button, taking a rather wobbly photograph of the water. His tail wiggled a bit as he used two hands to wind the film, smiling softly.
"I like dis, Mama. Is super purty!" the little boy said happily, bouncing a bit for his mom to pick him up off of the bridge's guardrail and put him back on the ground. Once there, he toddled off with the camera, taking pictures all across the garden, pictures from a two-foot perspective. However, it wasn't long before he came upon an interesting sight: a red spider web. Blinking a couple times, he took a picture of it before wandering closer, extending the tip of a finger to poke at it curiously, surprised when his finger stuck.

Kana had been left to her own devices for the day.
Again.
It didn't bother her, not really - after all she had been given a handful of money and a bottle of water, so she could entertain herself until evening; she was a big girl now and could go lots of places on her own! like this one; where she was forming a little cave made out of sticky blood webs and humming to herself. Who needed a Mom around, anyway? Not her! She could catch everything she needed... she just needed to practice.
Working at another web, she looked off to her right and spotted someone sticking to a web she had hung earlier.
"Hello there..." The redhead bit her lip to hold back her natural inclination to say 'you look tasty' - that hadn't gone over well when she was little, and she didn't want anyone else to think she was a scary monster... Not again.

The web was unlike anything that Copeka had experienced in his young life. It was sticky and smelled metallic in a weird, familiar way that he couldn't figure out. The toddler pinched it between his fingers, watching the way it stretched when he pulled them apart again. A bright smile lit up his face. This was certainly an interesting find, that was for sure!
The voice surprised him, as he hadn't expected anyone else to be down so far away from the path, let alone someone who looked to be not much older than he was. Golden wings fluttering a bit, he turned and gave a bright smile to the redheaded girl who had greeted him, eyes taking in all of her unexpectedly extraordinary features. She was so pretty!! With two more arms than he had, and four more golden eyes! And even her normal parts were pretty, with red hair and tan skin. Initial, affectionate impulses caused him to try to walk over to her, but when he tried, he realized how stuck he really was to the webbing. Giggling a bit and tugging at it, he smiled and took a picture of the girl, too.
"Hihi! You're reaw pretty-lookin'. I like youw hairs an' arms an' eyes. Can you see with all of 'em?" the little one asked, little tail twitching around a bit. Gently, he tugged at the red web once again; it certainly was strong...
"Copeka! Copeka, where are- Oh! Oh my goodness..." Lira cried out as she rounded the corner, one hand resting on her chest as she spotted her wayward son. She couldn't believe how quickly he'd gotten away - she'd only glanced away for a moment, it felt - and now he was in... Well, she wasn't exactly sure. Whatever it was, it didn't look healthy. "Sweetheart... What is this?" she asked cautiously, poking a finger at the bizarre, sticky substance. Golden eyes eventually found the odd-looking girl, and a wary smile arose. Something about her.... All those arms... It didn't sit well with the young woman. "And who is this?"
