"I would like to remind everyone taking the exam that cheating will result in immediate and permanent expulsion from the test." The voice came from nowhere. "In addition, only using a HB pencil is allowed when filling in your answers, I am not scaling the grades, it is entirely dependant on how well you have.... studied."
The room itself consisted of three rows of five empty desks. Stacked on each desk uniformly were three items: a sheet of paper, a pencil, and an eraser.
"All right, you may take your seats and begin your exams, whenever you are ready. You have one hour to complete it."
It was obvious what the next step was, and it was better to get a head start with this 'exam' than to wait, right?
The paper itself was written in simple type. A slot on the top wrote "Name"____. Perhaps that was for the squad name and number? The rest of the paper contained simple fill in the blank answers:The Paper Name: ______ (Please fill in the blanks to the best of your capabilities. If they do not apply to you, please leave them blank) 1. The area I was training in was called the _____. 2. Two squad members I worked with were _____ and ____. 3. What were the supplies necessary for your training? 4. List four unusual things about the training routine that you encountered or heard of. 5. Think of when you first woke up on day one. Think of everything you have encountered and experienced. What do you think is your purpose here? 6. Are you afraid of dying? After all the fighting, the deaths, the killing, everything strange and phenomenal that happened, only to have the last exam be taking an exam, literally. How oddly inappropriate and yet fitting. ((OOC: Feel free to rp your squad member approaching the desk and onwards, but make sure to write in your rp all answers (as possible) to the questions above, along with their thought process. This thread will be open for all rps for the next three days for all stragglers, one post per person please. ))

"..pid test!" Bix was still yelling and mashing his phone when he appeared inside of the... classroom? His bluster suddenly faded with this unexpected turn of events and his bony shoulders sagged. A voice? Was it Dr. H? He had a bone to pick with that guy!! But Bix was not the kind of guy to start a fight with a disembodied voice. He wasn't a total idiot. His only verbal response was a garbled cough. Bix glanced around for others before he simply shrugged and looked for a seat. Something told him that he was the kind of student who placed themselves right in the middle row. Not too eagerly at the front and not in the back trying to be inconspicuous. The middle was just inconspicuous enough. He sort of collapsed into his chair and let out a relieved sigh. When was the last time he'd sat in a real chair? It was AMAZING. With a wheezing breath the Beta wiped the blood splattered lenses of his gas mask and he also made a self conscious effort to wipe his gloves clean. Even with his effort the first grasp of his pencil and paper left a dirty bloody smudge on the sheet. Name: Beta-6 (Bix) He smiled a bit to himself and let out a small "Heh.". He'd just discovered what his handwriting looked like! It was a bit scratchy but impressively legible! (Please fill in the blanks to the best of your capabilities. If they do not apply to you, please leave them blank) 1. The area I was training in was called the Cornfields."Corn... fields.." He licked his lips. Apparently he was also someone who spoke out loud while writing. Bix was already questioning his answers. Did they mean where he started? He hoped so! As far as he was concerned this whole place could be considered training. Were there trick questions? He didn't want to ask the disembodied voice. He was still pretty mad at it after the Gym. 2. Two squad members I worked with were Beta-4 (Before) and Beta-3 (Bee). "Be..fore.." His tongue stuck out slightly under his mask while he muttered and thought. "Bee." Good old Before and Bee. They had been with him through this thing for the majority of it. Their memories were still fresh in his mind and he felt his chest tighten slightly when he thought of their sacrifices to keep him safe. 3. What were the supplies necessary for your training? Medkits, weapon (BB Handgun) and pendants. The medkit had saved his life and as it stood he was feeling fairly spry even after all he'd gone through. His weapon, of course, had been dissolved in the gym but he had been less than effective with the gun anyway. The pendants, of course, were told to be very important. When he thought he had one they ended up being burned up duds. Bix had sort of failed the pendant part of this challenge. But was this the end? He couldn't be sure, dammit! "Oh Oh! MAP!" he'd remembered something and scribbled it in underneath. MapHe may have only looked at the map briefly but the names of the places were few and he was able to retain that info rather well over his time here. 4. List four unusual things about the training routine that you encountered or heard of. Demonic horse monsters, people's corpses dissolving only to have them return from the dead fully intact, possessed crazy demonic people who were possibly returned from the dead, encouraging us to kill one another on a semi-frequent basis"Mur... der.." They came out in the order he thought of them and the crazy demonic horse monster was the first thing he'd encountered on the island! Of course then they started murdering each other at which point he discovered that people were coming back from the dead. One of them even came back as some sort of shadowy human rage monster. Had he been desensitized to it? The thought of it all seemed like a distant memory and the shock factor seemed to have worn off. He'd even killed people with his own hands but it was just all sort of... bleh when brought to mind. Perhaps the classroom setting made it feel less important. 5. Think of when you first woke up on day one. Think of everything you have encountered and experienced. What do you think is your purpose here? I can't give a definite answer. We were clearly being weeded out for some greater purpose and it's definitely supernatural. I'm starting to think I've changed as a person in a short amount of time and hopefully for the better. I'm tougher, anyway. I think. I still don't know why I came here or signed up but I don't think I care to know at this point. Life and death seemed to have lost a lot of meaning for me while I have been here and I have a feeling that's been a deliberate effort on your part. Whoever you are.It was a little wordy and it took him a few minutes to gather his thoughts enough to write his answer. He felt like his thoughts were clearly translated though. At this point in his 'challenge' he really just wanted to see the end result. Would he be rewarded? Was there a reward? He'd lived while others died. He'd killed. He'd survived one test already. A part of Bix definitely wanted some sort of reward for all of this or at least an explanation. 6. Are you afraid of dying? No. Not anymore. It's more of a mystery than a fear. This place proved that death was simply an inconvenience or even just a next step. Maybe there is just blackness beyond or maybe you come back as a killer rage monster. It's really just another fight, another challenge that I will have to face. Bix let out a bit of a scoffing laugh when he read the last question. If there was any evidence that he'd changed, it was his answer. When he first arrived it was his worst nightmare to die. It was the scariest thing. But he'd seen people die and he'd even killed a few. He wasn't courageous and he wasn't a tough guy but he'd managed to live and somehow felt like something was missing. Death seemed to be an ordeal on this island and in some cases it was transformative. A small part of his brain was curious. What could happen to him if he died here?! Bix read back over his paper several times. He wanted to make sure he didn't miss anything. He also didn't trust those who were testing him so he wanted to catch any snags or trick questions they might have thrown in. Something about tests made him comfortable though. Clearly in 'real' life he'd been comfortable in the classroom. Time had proven that he certainly wasn't comfortable with physical activities. "Done." He snorted his nose as always. Even gas masks couldn't save this poor guy from his FAIL sinuses. He stretched out his legs and looked to see if he was supposed to hand it in but finding no visual cue, he simply waited for that disembodied voice again. The Paper, smeared with some dirt and blood Name: Beta-6 (Bix) (Please fill in the blanks to the best of your capabilities. If they do not apply to you, please leave them blank) 1. The area I was training in was called the Cornfields.2. Two squad members I worked with were Beta-4 (Before) and Beta-3 (Bee). 3. What were the supplies necessary for your training? A test. Really? Realllllyy? After all of that dying and fighting and stuff they had to just take a test. This place was seriously messed up. B9 walked in quietly and sat down next to Bix. She looked at him out of the corner of her eye. The girl sighed. Might as well start... First, name? Well that was easy. Or was it. All she knew was her squad and number so that may as well work. Name: Beta 9B9 read the next line. (Please fill in the blanks to the best of your capabilities. If they do not apply to you, please leave them blank)Easy enough! Training? Was that where they had woken up. That was the only thing that made sense. 1. The area I was training in was called the Cornfields. People she's worked with? Obviously other betas. She looked to her side, Bix was one and well, she'll just pick another beta. 2. Two squad members I worked with were Beta 6 and Beta 3. Er, supplies? Her weapon helped and um... 3. What were the supplies necessary for your training? My dagger, other squad members. Oh god, this would be a fun one. A lot of things happened. A lot. Everyone dying was one, weird task, among other things. 4. List four unusual things about the training routine that you encountered or heard of. Squad members dying, those horse things, being trapped and having to kill for pendants which weren't really ones, and the phones being able to transport you. Their purpose? B9 hadn't a freaking clue. They were just expected to survive. There was that experiment, with oh, what was it, FEAR? 5. Think of when you first woke up on day one. Think of everything you have encountered and experienced. What do you think is your purpose here? Test our survival skills. Or really that one task I was in. I'd like to say testing that FEAR thing they were talking about. Death.B9 gulped. Dying? Yes, yes she was. 6. Are you afraid of dying? Yes.Quote: Name: Beta 9(Please fill in the blanks to the best of your capabilities. If they do not apply to you, please leave them blank)1. A loud crash of person into desk alerted the 'staff' that Theta-1 was now in the room. She hastily grabbed the desk she had hit upon her entrance, clinging to it to make sure it wouldn't fall and make further noise. But upon such an act she realized a piece of paper, a pencil and eraser were quietly waiting for her. Curiosity prompted her to pull back the chair and take it easy for once, her eyes scanning the questionnaire through thick lenses. "Huh... Well, unless I get a vicious paper cut this seems relatively harmless..." She mumbled, clumsily picking up the pencil. It would be easier to write without her armored gloves, but she was nervous and scared and mostly afraid so she kept them on and scrawled out her answers as best she could.
Maybe a good dose of humor would keep her alive?
Name: Theta-1, or Thea
(Already she was going to fill out every question, no matter what!)
1. The area I was training in was called the Lighthouse. 2. Two squad members I worked with were Theta-Seven and Delta-Something. Deli. I can't remember his number. Sorry. 3. What were the supplies necessary for your training? Gun and rubber bullets (Something made of metal would have caused sufficiently more damage as Thea felt herself an adequate shot); Medikit (Oh God, that medikit had better come in handy before all this was done with!) and flashlight. 4. List four unusual things about the training routine that you encountered or heard of. 1) GIANT DOOM PONY. Wtf? 2) Mysteriously called to an extremely mysterious cove. 3) Had to fight shadow monsters that would NOT DIE. 4) Had to kill previously dead teammates that died all too easily. 5. Think of when you first woke up on day one. Think of everything you have encountered and experienced. What do you think is your purpose here? My purpose is to survive and show whoever is deriving some sense of pleasure from all this that I CAN and WILL survive. That I can fight just as hard as anyone else and will do whatever it takes to ensure my own safety. 6. Are you afraid of dying? Of course! Why else would I have hid on the beach and dodged as many monsters as I could? Why else would I ruthlessly kill others? I don't want to die. Ever.
Humor? Where had it gone!? By the end of the survey Theta-1 was ready to kill the others in the room with her pencil if necessary. Was she afraid to die, OF COURSE. Whatever. Her page looked fine, if slightly messy. But it would do for the moment. "Teacher? Leader? Person? I'm done." She said out loud, waving her paper in the air for whoever was running this lunatic show to see.

Coming into the room Delta Eight was surprised to see three others and paper...pencil and an eraser. What on Earth were they doing now? He couldn't imagin anything requiring those items, considering what they'd been through up till now.
Pushing aside how odd the situation was he headed for the desk and grabbed up one of each item. Seating himself at a desk he started to read over everything. Taking in the questions first, he'd go over it again and fill in everything. Gathering his thoughts, and thinking over everything which had happened, he finally started writing and filling things out.
Name: Delta Eight He honestly hadn't thought of any other name for himself, he hadn't thought it all that important nor had the time. And even when he did, it just wasn't something thought of. His thoughts had been filled with many other things.
1. The area I was training in was called the Lighthouse. 2. Two squad members I worked with were Delta 1 and Eta 7. For a moment Delta Eight wondered what had happened to the two. Had they been killed on that test? Or had they turned up at the Zeta tent to find him missing? Had they thought he'd abandoned them?
3. What were the supplies necessary for your training? Bandages, medkit, backpack. 4. List four unusual things about the training routine that you encountered or heard of. Horses, which didn't look like a horse fully. I really would never want to ride one. Cell phones that poof you all over, makes me think of the term 'beam me up' although I can't think of why. Zombies! God why is it always zombies! And plants coming from boxes! I really would like a herb garden to sprout from a box, maybe even a fruit tree in a box.
5. Think of when you first woke up on day one. Think of everything you have encountered and experienced. What do you think is your purpose here? For a moment he didn't write anything. Thinking it over, all of it, he tapped his pencil a few times on the paper. Finally, he started to write. Someone elses amusement. I think there are people watching everything, sitting back in cushy chairs watching and laughing. I really do think some people are twisted like that.
Really, were they stupid? He was human, so asking this was really dumb. 6. Are you afraid of dying? Of course I am. Even if it is part of nature and how things go in the world. I'm still afraid, though it's more of what comes after death and dying alone.
Finally he set his pencil down and leaned back in his seat. Soon this would be all over, he couldn't wait. The island and zombies and all were over with, thank you for that!

((Zeta Ten Entering from Lighthouse Hiding Thread))
As she ran up the hill, Zeta Ten heard the voice that seemed to come from nowhere. Once she reached the top, more out of breath than she thought she could be after this week of nothing but walking, she saw the hill lined with desks.
The final test here is a written exam? she thought to herself, agitated. Looking around, Zeta Ten found an empty desk and sat down, wanting to rush through this, but still give the right answers. Only an hour, but there weren't too many questions. She picked up the pencil and set to work.
Name: Zeta Ten
1. The area I was training in was called the ____
She had to think about this one for a moment. She had trained in a few different areas, but most of her work had been in the lighthouse, so that was what she offered.
Lighthouse. That isn't where all of my time was spent, but it was where I figured out who I was and what I was capable of doing on my own. I killed a creature on my own there, so that is where I trained.
2. Two squad members I worked with were _____ and ____.
Really, there had only been one person she had worked with. The others had been following and wanting to work with him, not her. So she answered honestly, leaving the second space blank but explaining herself below the question.
Zeta Six. Everyone else was there to work with him.
3. What were the supplies necessary for your training?
Mainly, all I needed was myself. I couldn't do anything until I realized I could do it on my own. My gun helped a lot though, and Zeta Six's bandages.
4. List four unusual things about the training routine that you encountered or heard of.
Four? That could be... wait, not that hard.
The first thing was waking up, unaware of who I was or what I was doing there in that tent.
The second was the monster pony that attacked on the beach, causing so many people to turn on each other.
The third was that town, the abandoned town. It looked like it wasn't abandoned willingly, and it was painful to see.
Finally, the fourth, was the creature I fought in the mists at the Lighthouse.
5. Think of when you first woke up on day one. Think of everything you have encountered and experienced. What do you think is your purpose here?
The only true purpose I found here was being able to rely on myself, to stand tall and know I could do this on my own. Otherwise, I do not know what your purpose for me is.
6. Are you afraid of dying?
Truthfully, I'm more afraid of how I will die. It is a terrifying thought, but who knows? Perhaps death could be its own grand adventure.
With that, Zeta Ten set down her pencil and waited for the end of the test, wondering what came next.
((I used blue just to clarify what was writing and what was introspection by Zeta Ten. I hope that's okay. Also, if I need to post the questions, I will, just let me know.))

(( Eta II is ENTERING the Final Exam ))
A classroom?! Eta II spotted several others in there, working away at a paper. An examination most likely.....
Eta II entered the room, and seated himself at one of the tables. He decided to do the same. No harm taking an examination right? Picking up the pencil, Eta II began working on the questions
Name: Eta II
(Please fill in the blanks to the best of your capabilities. If they do not apply to you, please leave them blank)
1. The area I was training in was called the _____.
Training? Eta II was stumped. What training? Scanning past the other questions, he could only infer that whatever the hell he had been through the past few days was what this examination was referring to as the “training”. Now what did “the area” mean? Eta II worked it out: If they were going to consider this entire event was “training”, then the area which they were training in would be wherever they have been this entire time! And that would be....
The Abandoned town
Eta II recalled the map. There were other locations, but he never got the opportunity to check them out. Wait, there was the the “Fort” as well, but Eta II decided that he didn't get much out of that place – at least not enough for it to qualify as “training”
2. Two squad members I worked with were _____ and ____.
This one was easy. Painfully easy. Eta II felt a rush of sadness surge in him again. His first acquaintances were gone.....one had died, the other.....disappeared.
He began to write:
Eta III and Eta VIII
3. What were the supplies necessary for your training?
Supplies. Eta II listed down what he had received on day 1
Backpack containing nunchucks. A medkit.
He tapped his pencil on the table, trying to recall. Right, there was also a Map. He scribbled that down as well.
4. List four unusual things about the training routine that you encountered or heard of.
Seriously? SERIOUSLY? Eta II didn't know where to begin. A crazy pony of doom, swarms and swarms of smoke monsters that disappear when punched through. A creature that lurked in the fog. Chasms that emerge from the ground and floating islands one had to hop across. ZOMBIES AND PLANTS THAT SPROUT IMMEDIATELY AND CAN MOVE. AND THEN ANOTHER GIANT PONY OF DOOM THAT SPITS FIRE ?!?!
He calmed himself down. The question asked for four. He supposed he could generalise a few.
20 foot tall giant horse demons Strange monsters Chasms with floating islands on top Zombies.
He dotted that full-stop firmly.
5. Think of when you first woke up on day one. Think of everything you have encountered and experienced. What do you think is your purpose here?
Trials and tribulations. Everything he had experienced was nothing short of them. And if this was all for the sake of training.... then one would suppose that this game of survival would be to find those worthy of .....something.
My purpose here, he wrote, is to prove that I am able to overcome everything that is set against me. To prove that I am worthy of something, that I am a survivor.
Eta II wondered if that were true....
6. Are you afraid of dying?
Eta II paused.
Yes , he wrote.
Yes, he was afraid of dying. He could never deny that. Despite his reckless actions that might have said otherwise, despite how he would bravely risk it for his acquaintances, yes, he was afraid to die. Eta II put his pencil down and stared at the paper. The last question had shaken him up considerably. It seemed as though Death was imminent. Eta II tried to comfort himself with the fact that he had a pendant in possession.....if what they have been told was true....then perhaps he wouldn't die.

(Delta 5 entering from the Zone 1 thread)
Deva couldn't help but groan and hold her head as she staggered into the room, giving a quick look around for any signs of danger. After getting thrown goodness knew how far by yet another flaming horse, she wasn't in the mood to get caught off guard. Though to her complete surprise, what she found was what appeared to be some kind of class room... with a few people already there filling things out at desks. Several of them were still empty so Deva trudged over to the closest one and sat down for a moment. The plan had been just to rest before trying to find her way out of this place... but it seemed that they were being required to take some kind of a test.
'Ok... so what is this now? Some kind of monster that dwells inside pencils, or maybe paper that attacks with never ending paper cuts? It can't be as simple as it seems... what is the catch...?' she thought to herself while glancing down at the sheet on the desk. But since the others seemed to be alright and scribbling away, she picked up the pencil and followed suit. 'What the heck, we're all pretty much dead as it is right? Feeling like some kind of test subject already, lets see what else they can throw at us.'
Taking a deep breath she started in on the quiz.
Name: Delta 5 or Deva
Well alright, that was easy enough. Not like there was anything unique about that, since they were all given a name here as it was. Some of them chose nicknames... it felt like they had a place and meant something moer than just being one of the faceless unknowns.
1. The area I was training in was called the Lighthouse.
'Not that there was much there... and the lighthouse didn't even work. Couldn't see a damn thing through all that fog though so I doubt it would have done us much good anyways. Seemed like the most action we got there was one of those annoying ponies of death. But... I did end up getting left behind a few times... oh joy, the memories i do have are depressing ones. Woohoo.'
2. Two squad members I worked with were Theta 7 or Thev and Delta 3 or Deli.
'They are pretty good guys when you think about it and I can't even begin to imagine what they went through there in the Cove. Just kinda sucks that I didn't get to know them a bit more despite the fact that Deli seemed to keep hiding behind jokes. Really really bad jokes.' But it still got a little chuckle out of her nonetheless just thinking about some of the ones she'd heard Deli going on about last. Hey, at least the guy had given in all he had and didn't just turn into a puddle of fear.
3. What were the supplies necessary for your training? Dagger, med kit, and backpack.
'Not that I used any of them that often. The dagger came in handy when fighting the first pony in the lighthouse area, but with being too scared to try any of their tests after Deli and Thev disappeared... well... I was just pain chicken. Didn't even try to go looking for anyone with a pendant, might have saved me after all...'
4. List four unusual things about the training routine that you encountered or heard of. A. Flaming horses of doom. B. Phones that make people disappear to parts unknown. C.Waking up with no memories of anything. D. Zombies. 'Nuff said.
'Seriously? This whole damn thing is unusual. Who in their right might would sign up for this kind of crap? But... for all I know, I could have been insane when I signed over my life and ended up here. But the ponies, they weren't so bad cause it seemed they stayed dead for the most part, if they were even actually alive in the first place. The phones were more of an annoyance, though it was very frightening seeing people disappear before my eyes. I'm not sure if I'll get over that anytime soon... but maybe I have before. It's not like I have an memory of who I was before all of this or what might have happened to me. Zombies though, those were the worst. The smell and seeing them in the armor, knowing that they could have been a former friend or foe who passed away before us? I'm just glad that I didn't have to kill anyone or that would have been much worse.'
5. Think of when you first woke up on day one. Think of everything you have encountered and experienced. What do you think is your purpose here? I have no idea what the purpose of any of this was honestly. It just seemed like one giant game for who ever was running things from the beginning. The death and destruction seemed pointless, there was no reason for so many people to die, some just to be brought back only to die again. All in all it seems like some kind of sick form of entertainment.
'That's exactly what it is, you just wait and see. All of this is just some kind of a twisted, ******** up game. And for some reason or another, we all signed up and signed away our lives and everything we knew. What did they tell us I wonder to encourage us to make this choice...? I wish I knew... I really do. The idea that someone is just sitting back, watching all this happen without a care in the world while people are dying makes me sick.'
6. Are you afraid of dying?Aren't we all to some extent? Be it being afraid of death it's self or the life that wasn't lived. So yes... I am afraid of dying. The unknown is frightening, and I'll never know if everything I wanted to do with my life was ever accomplished.
'I guess that's the center of the issue right there huh. I'm scared... I don't want to be forgotten. I don't want to be just some random unit and number or even worse, nothing at all but a nameless corpse. Does anyone miss me... and will anyone remember me when I'm gone? I don't think any of us are going to make it out of here alive, and if I could, I would run and hide somewhere. Anywhere. So many have lost their lives already, being another number aomgst the masses, please.. I don't want to end up like that. I'd like to think I did something amazing with my life at some point, but with how things are here, I really doubt it.'
Deva let out a heavy sigh and gave the sheet of paper one last look before setting her pencil down. That was it. She'd completed the questions and really didn't like the things it had made her think about. Whatever this was for, she hoped that it would prevent such a mass of needless deaths in the future. That alone was enough to keep her from freaking out right then. If for some reason her death kept another from dying at some point in the future, then she would die.... it seemed inevitable anyways. How anyone got off this island alive, Deva wasn't sure. But all there was left to do was wait now and see what, if any, instructions they were given next.

(Theta Seven entering from Zone 1) Elsewhere ... Theta Seven felt himself catch on some air and he looked up and had a parachute?! Once he landed gently on the ground he tried to shrug out of the parachute harness and then moved to actually take a seat where after he was firmly settled the one labeled Theta Seven ... pretended he didn't somehow get here via parachute and that this was all perfectly normal. Not that this was the oddest thing ever but whatever. Everything is normal tralalala~. Theta Seven picked up a pencil and started to fill in the exam. Name: Theven (Theta Seven)That part seemed easy enough. He had a name that was given to him at the cove and he was able to claim it as his own even if it was hopefully temporary though - if he remembered it - he would probably use it as a nickname because he'd grown fond of that name. It had brought him a bit of luck in a way and perhaps he was a little bit superstitious. He looked down at the direction and then started to look over at the blanks that were provided. Theta Seven would do his best. (Please fill in the blanks to the best of your capabilities. If they do not apply to you, please leave them blank) 1. The area I was training in was called the Lighthouse. Then of course there was the 'cove' where he spent a lot more of his time and that person had referred to them as his 'trainees'. He wondered if that was just a bunch of words or actual truth. Was all this actual training for something? What would they need to train for that required so much killing...Strange. 2. Two squad members I worked with were Delta 3 (Deli) and Theta One (Thea). He wanted to put Delta Nine but he didn't spend enough time for her and he still felt worried for her. Theta Seven wanted to see her again and to talk to her again. No matter where he went and even now as he looked around she still hadn't reappeared. Sadness clenched at his heart. He felt as if he'd failed her but then ... Maybe she just didn't get here yet! Theta Seven quietly clung to hope. There was also Delta Five who he had nicknamed 'Deva'. She seemed pretty nice but the blanks only asked for two. Urgh. Silly blanks! Of course there was also 'Davii' who was Delta Seven ... He had a lot to thank Davii for... 3. What were the supplies necessary for your training? First aid kit was pretty useful -- I only had to use it once since I was kicking my own a** with my mace. Weapons are pretty damn useful when they aren't kicking your a** when using them...I was glad when I was able to upgrade to a stake but it was at a loss of a 'teammate'... Non-physical supplies would probably be my brain and good teammates...Theta Seven doodled a little on the side of the paper, just a simple cube with a cross sign on the front and a mace shaped item making an 'x' shape with a stake. He'd used both and ultimately ended up relying mostly on the stake. He wasn't really grateful for his fists - he missed with those a lot though they did get him out of at least one jam. He supposed he was most thankful for his own wits and the people he had worked with to get here. Theta Seven abandoned his doodle and went to the next question. 4. List four unusual things about the training routine that you encountered or heard of. The ponies were pretty weird and the small fog critters that attacked me now and again were freaky too... That cove was a weird, weird place. Think the fact that we tossed these boxes outside and they turned into damned plants was kind of the last thing I imagined would ever happen. There was more than just four unusual things but those seemed like a fair set of things to put in. He just wasn't sure what they wanted from him when it came to this. Was he supposed to have noticed something? Was he supposed to be looking for something weirder than what he saw? He supposed having to kill people to survive was pretty damn weird but...It was more of a consequence of trying to live on this island than anything weird plus he hadn't seen as much as some others might have. 5. Think of when you first woke up on day one. Think of everything you have encountered and experienced. What do you think is your purpose here? I think it was to show that I can survive anything and everything that is thrown at me without flipping a lid and keeping calm. That I can think for myself and maybe even show that I can become stronger through my trials. I was looking for answers - I was looking for myself...I think I found myself at least - without any restraint or memories to get in the way...That felt like as good a purpose as any other. There was just so much urgency on surviving and then trying to figure out who Theta Seven really was amongst all that. Maybe he totally missed what was being looked for but whatever. Theta Seven lingered for a moment before he moved on to the final question that caused him to pause a moment. That one required some hard thinking. 6. Are you afraid of dying? I would like to think I am not. I wouldn't just lie down and die without a fight but I wouldn't be scared of what would happen to me when I do die. I mean I constantly went out and put myself in danger and did what I needed to do to survive at the risk of my own life. Maybe I'm just really reckless and stupid or I just got a lot of balls...Theta Seven set his pencil down and stared at the last question for a long moment as if trying to make sure he didn't second guess himself but nothing new came. The male quietly shoved the paper away from him as he just stared down at the blank space of the desk he had sat himself at. He didn't want to die at least not without fighting for his life if he had any choice in it. Plus he had too much to live for not that he remembered any of it at the moment but still figuring it all out again would hopefully be a fun adventure and a challenge...Theta Seven thrived on challenges. On Exam Name: Theven (Theta Seven)(Please fill in the blanks to the best of your capabilities. If they do not apply to you, please leave them blank) 1. The area I was training in was called the Lighthouse. 2. Two squad members I worked with were Delta 3 (Deli) and Theta One (Thea). 3. What were the supplies necessary for your training? What the- Where am I? Beta Two glanced about wildly, searching for the red eyed shadow that she was fighting with just a second ago. It took a few minutes for her wildly beating heart to calm down, and her hands still shook as she took a pencil, paper and eraser from the desk.
Name: Beta II
(Please fill in the blanks to the best of your capabilities. If they do not apply to you, please leave them blank)
Okay then...
1. The area I was training in was called the Cornfields.
Well, that was easy enough.
2. Two squad members I worked with were no one. I did not work with anyone.
Two supposed that the truth was what she was supposed to put down, and she really didn't work with anyone. Except that wonderful, hiding mist she just left.
3. What were the supplies necessary for your training? My gun, my bullets, my First Aid Kit, my cellphone, and myself.
Huh, Two wondered,There was something else I could use? Shrugging her shoulders to herself, Two continued to answer the questions.
4. List four unusual things about the training routine that you encountered or heard of. a) The cloaked reaper the took Beta Eight away.
Two shuddered from terror as she remembered his menacing, black tone.
b) The pendants that guarantee your survival.
That was unusual: Two thought that it would have been more fitting for the masterminds behind this island to just force everyone into a bloody gladiator battle. The results would probably be the same, anyway.
c) The soothing, protecting white mist.
Two sighed remorsefully: what she wouldn't do to remain in that mist forever, even if she had to die at the claws of the mist's inhabitants.
d) The shadowy monsters that hide in the mist.
Two supposed that it was rather usual to see such unnatural beings, but she herself took it as granted - the perfection of the mist had to be balanced with some danger if you were to remain in it.
5. Think of when you first woke up on day one. Think of everything you have encountered and experienced. What do you think is your purpose here? My purpose is to survive.
Two could not think of another reason for her presence here.
6. Are you afraid of dying? Not if I die in the mist.
Two closed her eyes and daydreamed about the wonderful feeling of the milky mist cloaking her from all the world's harms, and wished more than anything that, if she was to leave this island or die, she could get the chance to finish her battle in that grand, smoky arena that the mist made up.

....A exam? ...This was his final ordeal? Eta V had safely landed outside the building and found himself in a school like setting, complete with tables, seats, and a piece of paper on each table. He took a seat, and then he just stared at the paper. The questions were deceptively simple. Nothing about maths, or science, or anything of the sort. Just what he had experienced so far. It was almost like survey even. But it was one that if he answered wrong, he would die. Why did everything here end up being a life or death situation? He was almost getting used to this. Almost. Okay, time to start writing his answers... Name: η V Simple enough, but then he wouldn't be surprised if they killed him just for not using the proper symbol instead of writing it out in English letters. 1. The area I was training in was called the Abandoned Town. Training my butt. I spent half my time fighting monsters. The only thing I learned was how to panic and punch things. Two squad members I worked with were η II and η III. The next question gave him room for thought. Two squad members he had worked with... He had worked very little with anyone, actually. They had all formed their own groups, and he had ventured onto the wrong path and gotten separated. But he had met Eta II again, and during the time in the base, he had tried to follow Eta III as best he could. Idly he thought about putting down Deli and his friends, but the question mentioned squad members. He didn't want to put someone from another squad, and then end up getting marked down for it. 3. What were the supplies necessary for your training?- Protection suit, complete with glove and gas mask – To keep us from ‘exploding’ - A backpack, complete with one random weapon inside – To allow us to defend against other people (or monsters), or attack them, or in the case of bandages, to provide temporary medical assistance to ourselves or someone else. - A medical kit – provides us with supplies to repair ourselves if we get hurt, but only until the supplies inside run out. - A map – To give us a idea of our surroundings, and where we can and can’t go. As he was writing down ‘medical kit’ he wondered if he should have used his well before now. He hadn’t wanted to use it in case he used up all the supplies inside, and be left with nothing if he was seriously injured. The only injury he had so far was a long gash on his back; it was painful, but still bearable enough and didn’t impair his ability to function. 4. List four unusual things about the training routine that you encountered or heard of.1. A giant horse with bat wings, horns, and the ability to breathe fire. 2. A group of shadowy monsters that surrounded me and tried to attack me all at once. 3. A great chasm with floating platforms (I don’t know how they were able to float by themselves) 4. Zombies. Lots and lots of zombies. They made great dancers. As he sat there writing his answer, Eta V felt a tinge of regret at not being able to face the zombies, especially the one who was colored red and black. They had scared him, and he knew they would have eaten his brains…but the idea of dancing with them was still slightly appealing. 5. Think of when you first woke up on day one. Think of everything you have encountered and experienced. What do you think is your purpose here?Considering all that I’ve been through, I’ve come to the conclusion that my purpose was to prove I was ‘worthy’. I, along with everyone else, was pitted against each other as well as many other obstacles to see if I would survive. There were also tests which I believed not only helped to weed out the weakest, but to provide information about how humans would act in different situations. In the end, only the strongest would survive. Thinking back on everything that had happened, and going through everything in his head, this was the only conclusion he could come up with. He could not figure out what they could be deemed ‘worthy’ for though, and decided not to expand on it. They weren’t supposed to know everything, and if they were, they wouldn’t have been so lost. 6. Are you afraid of dying? It took a lot longer for him to write his answer for the last question. It was easy for him to answer though; was he afraid? He was petrified. And this question made everything seem all the more real. Why were they asking him in the first place? Either they wanted to know more of his personality, or they had hoped he may have lost this fear during the time he had spent here. He shook his head sadly. If anything, it made his fear ten times worse. He then thought about lying in his answer. If they wanted stronger people, then it would make sense to write ‘no’. But what if they found out he was lying? He had no idea how this test would be marked by. They could read his mind for all he knew. After a few minutes agonizing, he finally put down his answer. ‘Yes’ He placed the pencil down on the desk. Placed the sheet on the corner and made sure everything was tidy. There were a few smudges of dirt on the paper from his gloves, but this was something he couldn’t help. He leaned back in his seat… …He had finished the exam. …He had completed every task that was required of him. …Now…all that was left to do was wait. Wait till the end of the exam. Wait until his fate was decided. What was the time? Was there a clock here? He didn’t want to look around to see in case they thought he was cheating. But he was sure that time was almost up. …Time was almost up. There was nothing he could do anymore. His hands began to shake. There was so little time left, He was sure the test was about to end. What was going to happen after the test? He felt ill, oh so very ill. His mind began to reel at the fate that awaited him, and a deep longing filled his soul. He wanted to escape, to get out of here and go home. Where was his home? Where did he live? Did he have a family? People who loved him? Did they miss him, or even know where he was? Who he was? He wanted to be safe, to forget about everything that had happened here and to resume whatever life he had before. He didn’t care what it was, for nothing could be as horrible as what he had just experienced. With nothing to do, he laid his head on the table, hands at each side, his whole body shaking as he silently wept tears as precious time slipped through his fingers, and he longed for the life he had forgotten. The Paper Name: η V (Please fill in the blanks to the best of your capabilities. If they do not apply to you, please leave them blank) 1. The area I was training in was called the Abandoned Town.2. Two squad members I worked with were η II and η III.p 3. Where on earth was she? Zeta Nine had just been faced with a zombie onslaught and now she was in an area that looked a lot like a classroom. This place was one suprise after the next.
Sitting at a desk, she looked down to find a test. Ha. What an odd sense of humour these higher ups had. Was this really their final test? No final boss battle to the death, no all-out fight to dertimine the survivors, just a simple, written exam?
Nine couldnt help but wonder just what would happen to those who failed this exam, but if she didnt even fill it in then of course she wouldnt be spared from that fate.
The Zeta picked up her pencil and began to read. Name. Ok she thought. I guess that means our squad numbers....
Name: Zeta IX
(Please fill in the blanks to the best of your capabilities. If they do not apply to you, please leave them blank)
Right, question 1.
1. The area I was training in was called the beach.
How could she forget the first moment of waking up in a tent surrounded by sand and a wide expanse of ocean, her equally confused teammates around her. Most of them being dead now.
2. Two squad members I worked with were Zeta Six and Zeta One.
Hmm... She had to think a bit for this question. She had stayed pretty lone throughout her time here. Building up close relationships was not a good idea when you never knew who would die next. But she had travelled with these two, planned what to do next with them, watched as they fell to their deaths. They would do. And Six, the one they had called Bones, had been like their personal medic. Nine was grateful for his aid.
3. What were the supplies necessary for your training? First aid kit, nunchucks, cellphone and a backpack
Writing down the four things she had begun her journey with, she wondered if there was anything else. There had been a map in the tent they had started in, but that wasn't really that crucial. There were those pendants too, but unless you called fighting each other to the death for those necessary they could be missed out.
4. List four unusual things about the training routine that you encountered or heard of.
She had to supress a bitter snort of laughter. Really? Only four? I could write an essay on the oddities of this place. Nine settled on picking the four that stuck in her head most.
- Waking up in a tent full of, who I assume to be, strangers with no memories of myself - Huge fiery talking monster ponies - Chasms full of mysteriously floating stones - Zombies.
That would do. There were so many other things she could put down, but those will suffice for now.
5. Think of when you first woke up on day one. Think of everything you have encountered and experienced. What do you think is your purpose here?
... Nine honestly didnt know what to say. She hadnt thought about this yet. Nonono, too caught up in fighting for her life. Well... I have to put something. Racking her brains, she began to finally ask herself what really was a question she should have thought about already.
I think we are being tested for something. I really don't know exactly what for, but I think it's a survival experiment. What will we do in desperation? They're weeding us out, the strong from the weak. Either that or it's someone's cruel idea of entertainment. Basically, it all boils down to one thing. Survival. I have to try and survive.
Yes. Survival. She couldn't think of a reason that wasn't survival in it's simplest terms. But, still the question remained. Why?
6. Are you afraid of dying? Yes. It's only human nature. Our insticts tell us to survive, so death is obviously not something to embrace. If I wasn't, I would have easily killed others to survive, but I was scared for them too.
She hardly had to think about that one. It was true really, why else would she have shied away from murdering others, even those she had never seen before?
Setting down her pencil, Nine sat back in her seat. She had no idea how well she'd done; how were you even supposed to mark some of these questions. Her eyes closed and she rested her head back. She was so close to the end. So.close. She had survived where so many others had not. What came next she had no idea, but she really hoped it would all be over soon.

(( Eta Six entering from Task thread. ))A classroom. She'd landed in a classroom. Well, considering everything else, she couldn't say she was surprised. After all, they'd started in a classroom. We finish where we began...An exam? Didn't seem to hard, especially after all of the other things they went through. She sat down by the familiar gas-masked faces of Eta II and Eta V, and then she began to read the paper. Name: ______As she wrote down Eta VI, she couldn't help realize that her name sounded like "Exit". She put it next to the name. (Please fill in the blanks to the best of your capabilities. If they do not apply to you, please leave them blank)Well, that was kind of obvious. At least she thought so. Her eyes fell on the first question. 1. The area I was training in was called the _____.Training? Maybe where they started. Where they all met each other. Eta VI smiled as she wrote the name down. Abandoned Town2. Two squad members I worked with were _____ and ____.She worked with... everyone, really. And yet, most of them didn't really get to interact with her beyond introductions and discussion. She'd waited for XII to wake up while the others fought the demon horse thing, and then she'd run after Eta X when he suddenly left. Well, she had been working with Eta V a little at the end... Eta X and Eta V. 3. What were the supplies necessary for your training? The supplies. How could she forget that? Her weapon's handle was resting against her knee because she couldn't fit it in her bag (at least, not while in the desk). Protective Gear. Cell Phone. Medkit. Backpack. Weapon (Mace). Map.On second thought, she didn't really use the map. She was tempted to write Eta X as she scratched out the last item she'd written, but she resisted the urge. Map.She hoped the others were ok. Eta VI shook her head, to clear her thoughts. Focus, she told herself. She couldn't think about that now. Once she finished the exam, she could worry. Besides, they were a good group. She was sure they were fine. 4. List four unusual things about the training routine that you encountered or heard of.Unusual things. That wasn't too difficult. There were tons of those. - Waking up with no memories in a group of equally amnesia-bound people. - Cell phones that teleport you places when you text - Strange, shadowy creatures and monsters (i.e. zombies) - Explosions that cause you to parachute into a classroom 5. Think of when you first woke up on day one. Think of everything you have encountered and experienced. What do you think is your purpose here? Her purpose? Well... She started writing, allowing her feelings to flow through her hand and onto the paper via the pencil. I think my purpose here is to survive. Or, at least... that's what the person who sent me here wishes for my purpose to be. But I also think that, along with that purpose, I have another purpose. To protect those around me. To ensure the survival of others.6. Are you afraid of dying? The last question caught her by surprise. Was she afraid of dying? Her thoughts drifted to those few, terrifying moments of flying through the air before the parachute took effect. No. I am not afraid of dying. After a moment of staring at the response, she added onto that statement. I am afraid of being unable to protect my friends.Eta Six's Exam Paper Name: Eta VI (Exit) (Please fill in the blanks to the best of your capabilities. [ entering from Task thread ]
“—D..Huh?” Delta Twelve had just been sailing through the air, arms flailing, but now he was in a room filled with desks. To his horror, when he looked down he discovered a sheet of paper, a pencil, and an eraser. “A-An exam?!” He stared at the sheet so hard he swore he would bore holes into it. Twelve tried to search for the proctor, but to his disappoint, apparently the voice was a disembodied one (or coming from a hidden speaker.) His shoulders drooped. Reluctantly, he returned his attention back to the exam. He hunched over his desk and curiously picked up the pencil. It was the plain wooden pencils, the kind that reminded him of state-wide school testing and such. Twelve shuddered at the thought. Anyways.
Name: (Delta) Twelve
He was tempted to write simply “Twelve,” but he figured that a few other people could be going as “Twelve” as well.
1. The area I was training in was called the _______. The question should have been easy, but Twelve actually paused. He had woken up at the Lighthouse, but had also traveled to the Abandoned Town shortly afterwards. Technically, he had “trained” in multiple areas, right? He hung his head. They were probably expecting a one- or two-word answer, but Twelve didn’t know what to put. Eventually, he opted to write Lighthouse, but I went to the Abandoned Town too. The script was somewhat large, but surprisingly clean. Twelve spent a few seconds admiring the startling neatness of his writing.
2. Two squad members I worked with were _____ and ____. Ah, at least this question was easy to answer! Twelve happily scribbled down Delta Six and Delta Seven. Of course, he had also teamed up with Delta Four, but the question only asked for two. Speaking of Delta Seven, where had he gone? Twelve last saw him at the battle with the strange horse, but that was days ago. He frowned. Was Delta Seven still alive? He was tempted to give the room a cursory look, but it was better to keep his eyes on his own test. Heh.
3. What were the supplies necessary for your training? Twelve blanked out at this. Supplies? He had used his dagger a bit, sure, but not much else. A scowl. That seemed like such a poor answer. Perhaps they would be satisfied with intangible supplies? Tentatively, Twelve wrote his answer. Mostly my wits and comrades. Whatever I had on hand, like my dagger and medkit. Gas mask and gear, too.
4. List four unusual things about the training routine that you encountered or heard of. Another easy question that, to his delight, didn’t require much thought. He simply scribbled down whatever came to mind. Flaming horses. Weird shadow monsters. Transporting cellphone? Zombies. Twelve reread his list. There was so much he could have scribbled in. Being an amnesiac, having amnesiac teammates, crossing a chasms, people killing others for a shot at survival. But it only asked for four. Twelve spent a brief moment considering whether to change his answer or not, but decided to move on.
5. Think of when you first woke up on day one. Think of everything you have encountered and experienced. What do you think is your purpose here? Day one? He leaned back in his seat, his head tilted as he recalled the first day. Twelve had woken up in a tent with the rest of his squad members, but left with a few others. He met a giant horse that spewed fire. Afterwards, Twelve explored the Lighthouse with Delta Six, went to the Abandoned Town, crossed a chasm, and then found himself trying to fend off a zombie invasion. When presented like that, it didn’t seem like there was a purpose to everything, but Twelve knew better. To survive, to grow stronger, to test our skills, and . . . to weed out the weak. He skimmed through his answered. Hopefully they didn’t mind phrases and incomplete sentences. He weakly smiled at the thought.
6. Are you afraid of dying? No. Blinking, Twelve stared at his answer. It was so short. He felt compelled to elaborate and explain himself. I’m not afraid to die. I wasn’t at the start, either. Whatever Death has in store for me I’m sure I can handle it. He stopped writing. The idea of death didn’t unsettle him, but the method of his death did—especially the concept of dying alone and failing his friends. Would his death be long and painful or so quick he wouldn’t realize it? Twelve opted to leave his worries out of the answer. This was a test, not a diary. I’d very much rather live, though. Twelve added the last sentence as an afterthought.
That was it. That was the last question. He silently reviewed his exam, wondering if his answers were appropriate. Well, it was all the truth, right? Twelve sighed and leaned back into his seat until the front legs lifted off the ground. He would have been scolded for it—the chair could break or he could tip over—but it felt too natural for him to stop. The pencil still in his grasp, he idly twirled it.
