So far, being a supposed 'royal' senshi sucked. His first attempt at being a prince had been at the battle of the Great Youma. And looking how well that turned out, Castor was not hopeful in the slightest. Senshi acting no better then their negaversian counterparts. The Blood Moon Court had half of the name right. Blood was on their hands; the blood of both the negaverse, and of their fallen coated their name now. Senshi uninvolved in the torture of the corrupted humans were now targeted for crimes they had nothing to do with, crimes they might not even be aware of, let alone condone. The senshi had been seeking the light of Serenity, and yet at each turn, the light would flicker and tauntingly move further out of reach.

He'd always hoped the heir to the Lunar Kingdom would return, but things were not so easy. He could not wait anymore. Lina was seeking to show the darkness the light, Pollux was seeking his own light, Castor's past 'students' were growing into more powerful allies, and fresh faces glowed, unknowingly stepping into a world bathed and written in blood and flames.
He'd lacked power to change the world before. He'd lacked the desire, the need. But now, after that night, he had found his reason for fighting. He knew his purpose. And in his purpose, he was going to change the world.

The power he'd gained was proving to be..fickle however. The Castorian Crystal was his tool, and in the past, it granted him the forces akin to a God. To summon a fury of cold sharp death down onto his enemies in one fierce battle cry. Now? He was lucky enough to be able to summon it. The cats warned him of attempting to draw the crystal out in the city, so he'd taken to his home world, but even there, it would occasionally taunt him but not heeding his call. The first time he attempted to use it proved...bad. The storm of death he'd summoned crushed a good portion of his target..before going apeshit and almost hitting the old royal gardens. He'd once known how to control the power, harness it. But that was over 2000 years ago. His memories showed him what he did..but not how to do it. He would have to re-learn.

So tonight, Castor was making his way towards the planned meeting place down by an old fountain in the park. She had owned her crystal longest and she knew him before he knew himself. Chronos, Princess of the Zodiacs, a girl he would call an ally at best, and friendly acquaintance at worst. She had her power and her own crystal, and with his struggles, she might be able to provide insight as to how to call upon and use his own. Worst case was that he was making a great social no-no as far as lunar court etiquette was concerned, (********, even with his memories he was sure he didn't even care about those in the past), at best, she would be able to teach him.

He'd lacked the power the change the world once.

This time, he was going to make sure he had all that power and more.

Being a Royal was never easy.

It had been two years, or possibly more than that since she had met the Maine Coon who had actually talked to her, causing her to wonder if she was dreaming. Every time she thought about it, the concept of it having been so long, since he had handed her her compact and told her to speak strange words after him, was so foreign. She couldn't imagine her life without the Zodiacs; remembering how they had gathered around her after she had hesitantly agreed to repeat Zue's words, their eyes alight as they welcomed her into their midst. It was so difficult to recall her life before this had happened, almost as if it was a lifetime ago. And of course, this had come with new responsibilities, as the weight of being a Princess sobered her up to the harsh reality of the world.

When Castor called her, she had willingly accepted his request for help. It didn't matter that the White Moon Senshi had no allegiance to her, nor that she was not their Princess. Whichever Senshi needed assistance, they would only need to call her, and she would do so in a heartbeat. Besides, she had gotten her Crystal back, and she was determined to use it for good. Back when Charonite had captured her, she had little to no experience in using the Opal Crystal, and thus was unable to forge a barrier to shield them from the explosion. The regret served as a reminder to work hard to be a capable Princess and make all her Zodiacs proud.

She was there, seated on the edge of the fountain when he arrived. Cerise eyes lit up as he drew closer and she stood, greeting him warmly with a smile. "Castor. How have you been?"

A sight for sore eyes was a good way to attribute how Castor saw the girl sitting at the park fountain. Smiling his picked up his pace until he was standing by her side, realizing that now- "I think this is the first time I've seen you alone before meeting up. Your guard putting a little more faith in you or did you sneak out from Virgo?" He crossed his arms in mock disapproval. "I'll have to tell her or she'll get mad at me. And if that happen you know what she'll do?" air good humor he continued, "she'll pull hurt puppy look. I'm weak to that attack. It's like a one hit K.O."

Chuckling, he sat down but not before giving Chronos a light hug. "But yeah, been pretty good. I have the love of my life back." Eyes closed as an image of her face floated in his mind's eye. "If feels good to be with her, it...it's good. Not everyday you find out the woman you love and vowed to be with 2000 years ago gets to return from the abyss." Taking in a deep breath he wanted to be serious, he wanted to be..princely. Or something like it. "But...anyways, crystals. Yeah." A shrug. "I got one now and it's...well it's kind of being a b***h. Is that normal? Bitchy crystals?" His expression was a tad comical, giving the fact he was trying to be serious but just looked utterly confused.

Seriously confused.

"I am responsible for my own wellbeing too, Castor." Chronos told him with a wistful smile as she recalled at how Aries would go into a fit if she ever snuck out. "I'm not exactly a weak little Princess. I'm a sailor scout too. Come on," She continued, trying not to sound too formal and solemn. "I hear I'm pretty good at the pleading look too. Besides, both Virgo and I know you're not a threat. And Flora trusts you." Although the Senshi of Spring looking none too pleased about talking about Castor, she had still relayed the message of Castor's Prince-ness and had asked Chronos to, in her own words, "Please take that moron under your wing, Princess." Despite Flora's current mood, she evidently still cared and trusted Castor enough.

Trust. That was the most important thing to rely on during this war. They all desperately needed alliances to stand in line with and pledge to fight on the same side.

"That's good." Chronos told him. "Treasure her well, Castor." She understood his feelings completely; it was exactly how she had felt for Eon, since her past life till now and forever. She was glad that he started to move on to another topic, pushing the thought of Eon out of her mind for now.

"Of course." She answered briskly. "I mean, I never really knew how to use my own Crystal back during my very first awakening when the Zodiacs were the only Senshi in the City. Even when I got it back in Elysion, the power just... exploded and it was difficult for me to concentrate and push down the barrier it had made." She smiled at him, understanding exactly what he meant. "Sometimes, it's like they have a mind of their own. Like what happened to the Golden Crystal."

Castor gave her in the best wolfish smile he could offer. "Maybe I'm just not the type of threat you expect." It was quickly replaced by a deep laughter. "No, I think the worst threat I offer in me teasing about Virgo's sprinkle weakness paired with her passion for ice cream. She is sweet as is, the sugar in there is probably just what fuels her. You? Butterflies and sunshine Chronos...Except for those who get on your bad side, which from the looks of things, I'm not." A hand went up and ruffled his already slightly messy hair. He'd enjoyed Chronos's company, she was reminiscent of those women in very proper young lady iconography. Quite, polite, yet charming and giving off and air that was just welcoming.

Still, pleasantries could wait, as much as he wanted to gush about finding his love, he'd come for a reason, they both had. It was time to get down to business. Castor took a deep breath, face settling into a calm contemplative look. He had to take a note from his brother. There was a time for humor and laughter, but this wasn't one of those times. This was serious, this was about that which defined them, and that which could be both their greatest asset..if they could master it.

It being their finicky crystals.

"So, they really are kind of little bitches then." He chuckled, so much for total seriousness. "I tried to use mine on Castor. The end result well-" He'd ruined a great deal of land, and taken out from old buildings. Not to mentiona few other things. "Hail isn't really a force you want to ******** with." Not after his last attempt. "But..it's weird. When I was on Castor you know...I could remember using it, I could see what it could do in my head but- I can't do that. I don't remember how."

It was oddly painful. This was his crystal and...he felt disconnected from it somehow. "I want to be able to do those things again. I just...don't know how."

He was pretty much correct. Rarely anyone got on her bad side, and with good reason, they were forgiven easily. Like how she had accepted Chibimoon, knowing that Wiseman had been the one to corrupt her. Still, there were some strong players in the Negaverse who remained on her bad side, one especially more than the others despite her not hearing anything about him anymore. It didn't matter. She would always remember how he had torn her life apart.

"It's a destructive power, then." Chronos said thoughtfully, drawing information from his words. "You've... been back on your home world then?" Then, adding softly with a tone of wistfulness. "I haven't been back to the Zodiac Castle." She wondered what exactly it looked like now. Had it been destroyed utterly and completely by the Chaos monsters that killed them as they fought to protect the Surrounding? Could she even make her way back there if there was nothing to see? "Memories of the past are not easy to dredge up, Castor. I do remember whole flashes of some events, but not everything is complete." The Zodiacs remembered some of their past too, she knew, and Flora had once said that she remembered close to nothing.

"It takes a lot of concentration. And training too. It's harder if you don't train to grasp the power under your control." That time, in Barren Pines, she had needed everyone to break down the barrier with the Opal Crystal. She wasn't at her full power then, she knew, and she still wasn't. "The only problem is where exactly to train because you can easily endanger others if you should lose control of your Crystal." It was exactly why she hadn't dared to experiment with the Opal Crystal, as fickle as it was.

Castor sighed and nodded. Destructive hardly covered half of what his crystal could do. It was pretty much to him a giant wad of massive rape. The world was like a zombie nurse and his crystal was the pyramid head. Rape was going happen and it was not going to be pleasant. An eye twitch at his mental comparison Castor gave a nod. "Yeah, I go everyday. I've been working on trying to rebuild. Like, make some parts livable again. Most of the hold homes and barracks have been destroyed with time, and the beetles, the ******** beetles-" he made a loud frustrated noise. "Buggers are violent as s**t as hard as hell to kill. To think my people deal with them..just...crazy s**t. Going back and knowing...You had a whole planet, a civilization a world that depended on you and now-"

Now it was gone. Lost to time and the darkness. "Most of what I have is like..clips. Slide shows. Some things..trigger it. A painting, a room...a place." Their garden. He'd never forget that memory. It was his reminder why he needed to do this. "When I brought it out to use, I dreamed of the past. Well not dreamed but you know. It was weird. I know what it can do. I-" Huffing his arms crossed. "Yeah, That's basically the thing, we can't exactly practice here...and when I used I almost passed out the first time."

"...Hey Chronos." He had an idea. But then again, he had an idea once about drinking spice packets from the taco cart. Hopefully this was a better idea. "Castor is pretty much nothing but free range for miles outside the city ruins. It's where I tried using my crystal the first time. Think maybe we can practice there?" It was a thought, but, was it a feasible one?

"That's good." Princess Chronos told him. With him talking about his homeworld, she couldn't help but dwell on her worries on how the Zodiac Castle, the Temple and all the Outposts, were doing. While her memories were hazy, she still could remember vaguely what they all looked like. They were comforting images, with a sort of homely feeling, and thus, she could only pray, hoping that too much ruin did not come to them. She would have to talk to Virgo about this. It was their duty, to make sure the Surrounding was faring well.

She understood exactly what he meant. The Zodiac Castle had been full of... others too. People she could not remember, but people who she had cared for. People whom she had laughed and played with, who had always been good to her. And in this life, she had, again, felt that terrible loss multiple times. "I believe that if we're patient, the past will come to us slowly. I just let myself be content with what I can remember, because some cannot recall as much as I can." And sometimes, perhaps ignorance was bliss.

"I think that it's a pretty good idea." Princess Chronos said, mulling over the suggestion. "We don't need to fear that the powers of our Crystals will hurt anyone." And if there was really miles of bare land, they wouldn't have to destroy any ruins.

Castor chuckled. "I guess that is one thing maybe you can teach me, how to be patient." He wanted results. He wanted changes and action. He wanted to just be able to do things. Waiting was not his thing. Or rather, a good majority of the time he couldn't wait for things to just happen. "I want to remember Chronos. I feel like we just- We lost so much and I don't know how we're going to get it back anymore."

He sighed, scratching the back of his contemplating the options. "Once a week ought to do it, After all, I...well more then that and I think we'd just end up passed out half the time." He chuckled, picturing them both just stuck on Castor to tired to be damned enough to even teleport home. "I mean, getting there is fine and easy, but after..who can say. If we feel good maybe more, if not we rest up." He was liking this plan. Use the crystals, get back something, reclaiming that small fraction of the past.

"I'm free just about any day, so all you'd need to do is give me a call the day before? We meet up, pop on over, practice, then zip on back and rest? We could rest on Castor but...I haven't fixed everything up to really host anyone yet." He blushed. He was still working on his project to rebuild. "But you think we can do this? And- and you might be able to tell me about like...how to be a prince and stuff." That was a bit of a kicker. He was still very ignorant if he had some rules he needed to follow. Were there manners and guidelines to his duties?
PostPosted: Wed Jun 22, 2011 11:34 pm

She smiled; a soft, sad, but understanding smile. "The past is gone. I doubt we can get it back." I doubt we can get who we've lost to the Space Cauldron back. There was a pang in her chest as she thought that. Sometimes she wondered if her heart would shatter anymore than it was already if she remembered everyone else who were gone, on top of all that she had lost here. "But the past serves to teach us the history of what we once were." What they all once had.

"That sounds good to me." Chronos agreed. After all, she still had mini-patrols to go on. Mini because she didn't want to stay out too late, and youma were taken down pretty fast with her tiara. Being a prime target for Negaverse agents also meant that she wanted to avoid them as much as possible.

"I could help you rebuild, if you want." She offered. She didn't remember being on Castor; only once had flashes of visiting the Earth and the Moon. Perhaps it was due to how busy she had been that she had no time to visit the other senshi homeworlds. "Have confidence in yourself, Castor." She put a comforting hand on his. "Remember, you have your Knight." For a moment, she had wondered if it was right to call Lina a Princess. Or perhaps, Consort would be a more fitting word?

"I will tell you all I know about Prince Eon. What I remember of Endymion as well. But you are your own Prince, Castor. The Prince of your Consort. Do not ever forget that."

He pouted and Flora had she might have been there, would have known it as a very Marlo-esque look. Castor, arms crossed and pouting. "History sucks balls sometimes." He huffed an let his arms fall to his sides helplessly. "But you're right, just got to deal with it. And you can help if you want to spend the day doing mostly hard labor." He chuckled at the idea of her going about and carrying huge bricks and just...

It seemed like she's just end up like some tiny powerhouse. A sniffle and Castor smiled. The night air was getting to him. "'s a bit hard, but- hey, gotta just keep at it. And please." Her hand was taken in his and given a light squeeze. "I'd like to hear about him." He knew of Eon and as for Endymion he didn't care so much. "I'm also you're friend Chronos. Don't you forget that." Letting her hand go, he looked out at the city. "Once a week. You got my number right?"
PostPosted: Thu Jun 23, 2011 10:06 am

"After all, we were tasked with keeping Chaos monsters away from all the planets." Chronos murmured thoughtfully. So technically, she felt responsible for the ruin of all the senshi planets and the Moon Kingdom, even when she hadn't been there to witness it. And therefore, she had an obligation to help the White Moon Senshi for what the Zodiacs owed them.

She smiled, a wave of nostalgia running through her. The Zodiacs did not bring up Eon often, in fear of upsetting her, perhaps. But sometimes, she thought that it was good to reminisce about him, remember what he had done, and not let memories slip away into nothingness again. And perhaps Castor didn't care for Endymion. Still, Chronos remained adamant that the Endymion that they had encountered in Elysion was not the Endymion she knew. And it would be what she could remember of the Endymion she had respected that she would tell him about. "I never forget friends, Castor." The Princess of the Zodiacs assured him.

"Flora gave it to me. She said it would come in handy." Chronos smiled, shoulders relaxing. It felt that finally, things were settling down properly and they were on their way to set things right.

"GOOD." He smiled, at the idea that Chronos was open and willing to hang out with him. "Once a week. You don't call me and I'm tell ya, I'll come stomping around looking for you, causing a scene. Probably give Flora and Virgo heart attacks." He chuckled at the mental image of them both cheeks puffed out with the 'I'm mad but not that mad but look I am still mad' faces.

A kiss to her hand and a bow, and the Senshi of Hail nodded. "See you this week Chronos." It was time to part ways, less they start to attract the less than reputable denizens of Destiny City. "We will do this!" His smile was set, and his path was now open. His goal was set. Attempts to control his crystal now in sight, Castor was determined to do what he had been born to do.

Protect and Serve.
