So, what's the story behind your user name? Why did you pick it? I always find it interesting to know why people ended up picking the name they did.

Long ago I used to play World of Warcraft in a Private Server called Scapegaming ...I was in Crack realm... I named my first character "Redfa"(Night Elf Druid)... I just typed the name randomly ...if you look on your keyboard you can see these letters are close to each other... Since then I am using Redfa as a Username...

I was previously Kanashii Sakura Uta. I was going to go for Sakura no Uta, but someone already claimed the name before me, and just leaving it as Sakura Uta didn't leave a good impression on my tongue. So I stuck Kanashii in front of those two so that my username would mean "sad cherry blossom song".
my username now is just a mix of the Japanese word for cherry blossom and a French word meaning "perfect" that's used to describe a kind of frozen dessert.

Comes from an old email I made during 3rd or 4th grade XD Krissti is close to my name. Neo because I liked neopets at the time, and angel because angels are nice? I can't remember just pop'ed up into my head. The ti part is... just because I guess? Trying to think of a new username recently, been having a difficult time with that.

Seinaru ite = 聖なる射手 = Holy Archer
I chose that because that's pretty much what my RP identity is... I'm an avid MMO player and I like to play divine spellcasters that can also use bows. Unfortunately almost no games support characters like that lol
And I chose that exact wording because I thought it sounded the coolest out of the alternatives, e.g. "Shinsei na Shashu" sounds kinda stupid imo. I originally used the name in an MMO and it stuck.
My original online username was Ukryu, which was random typing, but I abolished it because it sounded too weeabooish

Murasama comes from my friend (and Gaia family leader) Raku Murasama. He switched the "s" and "m" in Muramasa, a legendary cursed Japanese sword. o.o My very old user was Pixxie RAWR, but I changed it to Kiyo Murasama partly because of Rakun. I got Kiyo from my real name, Kathryn, because Kathryn means "pure", and Kiyome means "purification" in Japanese. It's also a Shinto term for misogi (or it has something to do with it). Kiyo's just a nickname, but its kanji, 清 means "exorcise" and "pure" according to Jisho, but I think it can also mean "quiet" depending on where it's used. Annnd that is how Kiyo Murasama came to be.
Bokusenou, how'd you get your username? :3

Wow, everyone's got such interesting user name stories!
I guess I'll say mine then. At the same time I was getting into the internet, my anime obsession was Inuyasha (this was before it aired on Cartoon Network and I lot of idiot fans started showing up, I still like the series BTW, but I'm not obsessed with it anymore), and I made up different usernames for each site I joined, but that got tiring. I wanted a username that would never be "in use" when I signed up for sites. Inuyasha has a lot of one-episode characters, one of which was an old tree spirit called Bokusenou (the kanji are "wood-hermit-old man", if I remember correctly), he was sort of a sage-like character who was a friend of the deceased father of one of the characters, and gave the character information. I thought he was kind of cool. xd
I took the name as a username, and it stuck. I think it kind of fits me too, because I love to help people with problems (which is why I spend a lot of my free time answering translation requests in the International Forum XD).
I also wanted the name I chose to be gender neutral-sounding. Back in those days, browser RPGs were often a male-only environment, and wanted to avoid the annoying sexual harassment and "not taking female gamers seriously" that was rampant back then. If my username was gender neutral-sounding, and my avatar my male, then I was able to just enjoy playing the games (I still do pick a male avatar if, say, I tried to play a game with a female avatar and got harassed, or if the female avatars look like they came out of a fantasy porn movie. Basically if playing with a female avatar severely restricts my enjoyment of a game, I change it. But overall browser RPGs have gotten better at being female-friendly, so it's rare that I have to use a male avatar). Another reason for wanting something gender-neutral sounding was because I was (and am) sort of a tomboy/geek, and am not that fond of using female sounding names anyway. XD

Well, I was going to create an account on a different site, and at the time I was reading a book called Duncton Wood. The name of my favourite character in that book is Mekkins, and I really like the sound of that name.♥ So I took it as username on that site.. and then some other sites... and then I changed here too~

Dark flames 'cause I was a pretty depressed 5th grader (I think I made this name right around the time period after my grandma died of cancer) T because I at the time wished my first name was Victoria because i thought Tori would be the coolest nickname ever. The ~s were added a year or two after just for fun and I think I copied a friend who had them in her gaia username. gonk As much as I'd love to change my gaia user name, I hate having a buddy list where I don't have any idea who is who anymore and wouldn't want to confuse other people. >.<

Digimon- based name I made up about 8-9 years ago. Every two letters were based off of a different character I liked at the time.
Ta - Taichi Ya - Yamato So - Sora Ta - Takuya Ko - Kouji (could be Koushiro as well) Da - Daisuke
I've been too lazy to change it. It became so much a part of me that I'd be pretty sad to get rid of it. I don't really follow Digimon anymore, but so many memories make me keep it as well. I don't mind since people shorten it to "Taya" anyway, which I like.

xD Oooh, I see! I think I remember Bokusenou. But when I think about it, all I really recollect is Sesshoumaru talking to a tree somewhere around episode 50. owo But I haven't watched Inuyasha for about 4 years.
And that makes sense! I've used a male avatar on RPGs, too, just because of the harassment and such. But I still had a girly name... xD
