"Here we are!" Amarante announced pulling Imelda into the cafe. The place was nice, the air smelled like coffee and herbal stuff with a hint of cinnamon. The place was actually pretty full and they were quick to find out why. It was kareoke night! Currently there was a guy on stage attempting to sing a Katie Perry song. "Oo a table!" quickly she lead Ime over to the open two person table before it was to late. A college age looking girl approached them with a smile not long after the guy finished singing and someone else got up on stage to take their chances. She sighed as the new person started singing horribly off key, "What can I get for you?" she asked in Japanese. "I want that..." she said holding up a promotion card that was on the table, it was some fancy tea drink. "Ime... what do you want I'll order for you..." since the other girl apparently knew no japanese.

Imelda looked around and scanned the menu, relying heavily on the pictures when it came to what she wanted. What she really wanted was a nice tall beer or something drenched in alcohol, but being only 18...She'd get carded and denied in this country. What a hassle, it would warm her up in the best kind of way. Uh, what looked good....The Italian nibbled on her lower lip and pointed to the image of a steaming coffee layered heavily with whipped cream and chocolate.
"This one." she muttered, almost drooling at the thought.

The girl scribbled down their drinks on a notepad and gave a nod before heading off. It was a song later when the two drinks came back out. Amarante smiled at hers and took a big sip. "Yummy! How's yours?"

After a few test drinks, Imelda smiled, not nearly as sleepy as before. If anything, she felt as energized as she would in Italy. Imelda held it out to the girl across from her, content with her sugar soaked drink completely. Yes, this was what she needed, especially to drown out the damned horrific singers up on the stage. They all sucked and should step down. Or at least sings songs in their own language, as attractive as American-Pop was when sung in Engirish.

Taking the cup from the other girl, Amarante took a sip... then another.... then one more before handing the cup back to Imelda. Otherwise she might just drink all of it. "That's really good...." she said getting chills and turning back to her own drink. Taking a few more sips of her own drink she laughed at the person currently up on stage. "Maybe we should give it a try at some point!"

Imelda took a large swig of her drink, finding it awfully warming, even for something heated. And it was almost addicting. After she was wonderfully heated and not in the least bit thristy, the Italian was still sipping. And she would keep drinking these so long as they stayed relatively inexpensive and Amarante was paying. It was easier to pay people back than dine and ditch with a goody-two shoes partner.
"You can, but I will stay here. My singing would make a choking cat sound like Vasco Rossi."

Ama giggled at Ime. "Aww come on you can't be as bad as.... that...." she pointed at the person currently trying to sing 'Friends in Low Places'. Amarante took a long sip of her tea and savored the smell and flavor. "I don't know what I'd sing.... so many good songs to pick from....." setting down her cup she applauded the person as they finished the song, happy that the song was over.

"He is better than me on my best day." she replied flatly, taking another sip of her drink. These people sucked. They were better than her, truly, but they sucked. The Italian shrugged off the soft fuzzy feeling starting to build in her head. This drink was spiked, ******** yes, she picked a good one! A dozen or so of these, she might get decently hammered. Hell, she might even get up and sing with Amarante if she kept providing the alcohol infused coffees.

With a sigh Amarante drank her tea and sat there happily. "wanna stay here or go look for something to do?" she asked remembering that they were just here to get Ime warm again.

"I am fine with anywhere as long as it is free or gives me opportunity to help the Little Boss.....Do you have anymore ideas?" She downed the rest of her coffee and sighed contently, looking back to the noisy stage. Imelda had half a mind to chuck the glass at anyone else who wanted to step on the stage to ruin yet another song. How sad, these artists must be crying wherever they were,

Sitting there nursing her drink, Ama listened to the singers and rather enjoying herself even tho most of them were bad, slightly drunk, or both. At one point she heard something odd but dismissed it. A moment later she heard it again and realized it was her phone ringing! "Ahh!" she set the cup down and went digging for her phone. By the time she pulled it out and hit talk all she got was a dial tone. Once again not quick enough. ((I actually do that.... i hear my phone and don't realize it's my phone until it's to late to answer)) Looking at the number she realized it was the people who were supposed to be getting in touch with her, of all the times for them to call.... why now? Hitting redial the phone was answered rather quickly and the person on the other end didn't seem all to happy. "I'm sorry....." she apologized to the person on the other end. "Yes... of course I've been waiting for word from you...." Amarante sat there listening to the person on the other end. "What is it you want and why? You never told me.... If you don't i'll be on my way...." the voice on the other end seemed to of cut in with the details of the job. Amarante looked to be getting misty eyed as the person on the other end told her what had happened after their family's right hand was killed, and house destroyed. "That's too mean.... of course I'll help you out! Wha? E-mail? Ok!" she said sniffling and wiping her eyes. "I'll let you know ok? Bye-bye!!" Hanging up she sat and waited for the email. After a few minutes she recieved the email with pictures. A house destroyed, a young woman with four children huddled around her... and the picture of the man responsible for it all. "Do you happen to know this person?" Amarante asked holding her phone to Imelda showing her a picture of a blood covered blond.

Imelda glanced at the phone and nodded, gesturing to a waitress without taking her eyes off the picture. Of course she knew this guy, the notorious 'Prince' of the Varia. And this little picture was the epitome of his personality. Bloody and vicious and atrocious. A low sound of disgust built in her throat, but was choked down when the waitress brought another coffee.
"Yeah, Belphegor. He's not someone to mess around with."

"Really?" Amarante looked curiously at Imelda. "Wanna help me get rid of him then?" she asked reciting the complete sob story the person on the phone gave her. Of course the little freelancer knew nothing about the Vongola family or their associates. "Getting rid of someone like this guy should help your boss right? Specially if he really is in the area...." Ama was starting to think. Why was this guy here? Might he be after Imelda's boss?

Imelda shook her head and smiled at Amarante. As much as she would love to help the girl beat the life out of someone....Beating up a Varia was neither smart nor safe and would probably get her in deep water with the whole family...
"Ya see, he's a bad guy kinda....But he's an ally of the family I work with, and ally of my Little Boss....So I would appreciate it if we left him alive, okay?"
