Undine surveyed the training ground critically. Stepping into the dirt ring that made up the bulk of the training area she nodded in approval. The ground had finally dried up enough to be useable again. A slight smirk appeared on the sea nymph’s face. She was looking forward to putting the tigers through their paces upon their return. They had taken it easy this winter as the snow had made the ring treacherous with ice. Walking slowly, cautious of muddy spots, Undine started to check the targets set around the ring for decay.

With her belly growing larger and larger each day, Chayse had decided it was time to make her way to Arctic so she could inform him he was going to be a daddy again. She was happy to deliver the news, but wasn't too sure he would share her elation.
As she made her way towards Arctic's home, she recalled the many days she had spent here while her oldest two children, Austin and Aaricia were foals. She missed them both, although they did come visit quite often, it wasn't the same as having little ones underhoof.
She could see the training grounds where Arctic and Aaricia had trained, and it appeared there was another Soquili roaming around. It looked like Undine, a friend and leader in Arctic's herd. She didn't really know the mare, but thought it might be nice to go over and introduce herself.
She cleared her throat as she neared so as not to alarm the other Soquili, and gave a warm smile as she said, "Hi there. I'm Chayse. I don't believe we've met officially."

Undine prodded the target she stood in front of checking it for any signs of rot. Her ears flicked back as she heard a voice behind her. At first she ignored the mare until the name registered and then she turned and regarded the mare. She blinked in surprise at the noticeable swell to Chayse’s belly, looked like new little ones were on the way.
She wondered if any of this batch would inherit the gift possessed by the royal line inherited from their goddess ancestor. Well she wasn’t really a goddess more an extremely powerful spirit but as far as the Glacialis clan was concerned she was a goddess. Knowing Arctic he wouldn’t mention that particular detail unless one of the foals showed signs of possessing it, despite the fact that both his mother and eldest sister had inherited it. Undine only knew about it because her family had ties to the clan.
Shaking herself out of her musings she smiled in greeting. “No I don’t believe we have. I’m Undine, a pleasure to officially meet you Chayse. If you’re looking for Arctic, he took Aaricia and went on a training trip.”

"Of course I was looking for him, but if he's not here, then perhaps we could chat a bit before I have to go?" she said, smiling at the green and blue mare. "I hope you don't mind, I think I'll lie down over here in the shade. I'm carrying a lot more weight these days," she chuckled, stepping over to a shady spot just a few feet away. She lowered herself to the ground as gracefully as possible and made herself comfortable. "Now, tell me a little about yourself. Arctic tells me you're a leader in the herd?"

Undine laughed softly. "When it comes to ice tigers females always lead, being the senior female in the teepee the responsibility falls to me." Deciding that the targets could wait she chose a spot across from Chayse and laid down so they could talk face to face.
"Lets see, I come from a clan of sea nymphs that make there home across the ocean. I haven't seen any of my clan since I was accidentally separated from them as a foal. My two-legger found me, saving me. When she decided to travel around the world I went with and that's how I came to be here in these lands. Now its your turn," she said passing the figurative ball to Chayse.

"Ah, well that's nice, and great for you. Do you wish to see your clan again? Do you like being alpha? I've actually never been part of a herd, only part of this family. The family I left behind, my mother and father, weren't in a herd either. I do suppose that technically I am part of Arctic's herd, only estranged?" she chuckled, not sure where she was going with her thoughts. "That's about it for me. I left my parents just as soon as I could and ended up finding my home with a human, though I don't tend to stay around there very much these days. She lets me wander freely, which I enjoy." She paused, wondering what else to tell her. "I suppose you know my eldest children, Austin and Aaricia, of course. I have a feeling this time, we'll be having two or maybe even three as big as I feel." She adjusted her position, feeling quite a bit of pressure on her stomach.
"Do you have any children?" she asked, deferring the conversation back to her.
