Today was not like any other, for it was SPRING glorious spring! Tia adored it, pretending she made the flowers grow with a touch of her wand, or wither depending on how hard she managed to hit it. Still she was wearing fairy wings and had her crown and a prety dress on as well her wonderful wand. Her mother trudged on behind her until he came to a bench and sat down, this prompted the young girl to immediately abandon him to go play on the playground without hesitation. Moving she went to stand on the swings, a dangerous move and her mother would of stopped her except he knew she would just yell at him instead. Maybe she'd learn to not do dangerous things....
Indeed it was Spring, and truly Auryn was in her finest element. There was so much to experience this time of year; smells of fresh grass and blooming flowers, bees buzzing...and the birds. Oh, those wonderful animals with their beautiful songs. What better place to enjoy their majesty then outside at the park? Somewhere along the way, Santana had found a picnic table to sit at and read or do something adult like while Ryn just ran around and played. Specifically, the game was "pretend you're a bird"...she was running around in some of the empty space near the swingset, arms outstretched (more like a plane then a bird, really...but she was so happy, she was forgetting to flap), just laughing and giggling as she imagined she was soaring through the clouds like the birds do.
The girl playing plane caught the girls eyes, of course she didn't know it was actually her pretending to be a bird...but given she wasn't flapping her arms she must of been a plane. Excellent this girl knew how to play this game the RIGHT way. Smiling she jumped down from the swing, her fake wings shimmering as she skipped her way towards the other girl.
Coughing into her hand she tried to get the girls attention, "Excuse me...but I do believe you need a fairies help." She stated as she gave a curtesy.
Auryn's head snapped around at the first crunch of feet on the grass coming in her direction, and she stopped mid-step with arms still out. AuraVision! said this was a Spawn, and WOW lookit all that swirlyness going on! Her face at first broke into a smile, because Auryn always loved meeting a fellow Facility kid, but then the words hit and she paid closer attention to the girl's outfit. No, those wings definitely weren't real...and that dress was so poofy! And a wand! She really was a fairy!
Suddenly, Auryn was 'frozen' to her spot. She squirmed a bit, grunting, and looked at her new friend pleadingly. "You're right! I'm stuck! It must be the ground, it's cursed! Help me, Fairy Princess!" Oooh, this was going to be so much fun!
Tia was beyond pleased after all this little girl knew how to play this game and well. She did a twirl a bit dramatic but she smiled and waved her wand.
"Oh my! You poor..." She was going to say airplane but figured that wasn't exactly what the girl was trying to portray, "thing, you are indeed cursed but with the flick of my wand you will be free and be able to fly in the clouds once again!" She managed to say in a sing song tone, as she twirled closer to the girl and then lightly tapped her on the head.
"Bibbity bobbitty boo!" Okay so she stole the lines off of one of her favorite movies but that wasn't so much of a big deal...was it?
She moaned and swayed putting a hand dramatically to her forhead, "Oh my..no the curse is too powerful...I cannot break it!"
There was such a large part of Ryn that wanted to giggle, but no this was srs bizness and she must remain in character. She wailed, just as dramatically if not moreso than the other girl, and wiggled in her place when the spell didn't work. Her feet shuffled slightly, but what do you want from a 7ish-year old?
"What do we do?! Princess, you must know a stronger spell!" It was so nice to have another girl to play with. Don't get her wrong, Ryn loved Lit and Pepper...but they were boys. What did boys know about pretending to be fairies and princesses?
She had her hand to her forehead as if she mass swoon at any moment, after all she had to stay in character as well. "Well you see there is one way....only one." Tia was dramatic as she always was, heck she could probably be a good actress if she put more effort into it. Moving she tettered over to the other girl lightly placing her hand on her shoulder.
"There is a wicked witch who has a magic spell...a powerful one...if we get it from her we can break the curse placed upon you!" She was overly dramatic...but that was her style.
Ryn for a moment seemed so happy! Yes, there was a way to break the spell! They must find the witch and then they would cure the land and be free! Forgetting most definitely that she was supposed to be rooted to her spot, she jumped into the air and pointed off...in some random direction.
"Come on! Let's go get that witch and free the land from this horrible curse!" Adventure! Amazing things to see and do! This was going to be amazing!
Tai could forgive the girl for moving, though she wanted to firmly stop her from moving she knew that there was little to no point correcting her mistake. After all she was fun to play with and she could work with this.
With a wave of her magic wand she tapped Ryn on the head and then twirled herself. "THere I can weaken the curse...so we can walk to the witches home! But you cannot fly." She firmly assured the girl as it to remind her how to play this game. She offered her hand to Ryn so that they could walk together.
Yeah, right right. She couldn't fly. "You're right! My wings are still cursed. We'll have to go together," she said with a firm nod...looking down at the offered hand before taking it. "You'll have to use your magic to protect me, Princess," she said, pulling out the bottom of her shirt as much like a skirt as she could as she curtsied.
Looking around, she tried to find something that would serve as a good place to stage the witch's evil castle. There was a jungle gym type thing, those were always good. But did this witch live in a cave? There were a whole set of old tires half buried in the soil. Those would be an awesome cave!
Already Tia was planning their route, she thought they could scale the forbidden mountains (the jungle gym) and then go through the dessert, (the sandbox) and then perhaps around some trees which..could be ..the...uh...enchanted forest!
"Ah...first we must climbe the Forbidden Mountians, there will be terrible dangers...I think gaints live there." she mused as she walked them towards the jungle gym.
"Giants," she said with quiet awe, following the other girl's lead. "How will we defeat them, Princess?" It was nearly a whisper as they came closer to the jungle gym, Ryn nearly tip-toeing the last few feet.
Giants, after all, were srs bizness. "What if the magic is too strong for you again?"
Puffing up her chest she brandished her wand pointing it towards the jungle gym, "No gaint can defeat me. I have dealt with their kind before." she explained as she let go of Ryn's hand to wrap her arm around her waist like a knight may with her damsel in distress. "But just in case I am going cast a spell on you that will make you invisible! That was you can avoid them and slip away if you need to. Just say this magic word to make yourself invisible ..." There was a pause as she thought quickly for a word, "Booya! yes you say Booya, and to make yourself visible say...." There was another pause. "Waasit." She nodded her head to indicate those were suitable words.
Auryn...paused. Slip away? "But...but I want to help," she said, slowing down a little. "And if I'm invisible, I'll be able to...trip the giants!" Her words carried a little more confidence. Still, there...was something like an edge to her voice. She almost seemed hurt. Did the Princess not think she could do anything?
Tia hadn't intended to hurt Auryn's feelings it was just ..her being her. Tia liked being the center of attention and she felt that she was perhaps a lot more important a character in this story than her new friend. She gave the girl a look as if it had never occured to her that..well she wasn't the main character and that yes the girl who was cursed could actually be useful. Quickly moving on she nodded her head, "Y...yes that is a good idea." She managed to say thickly as she trudged along making their way to the jungle gym. She released the girl and then pointed at the stairs, "You first."
